NAME - David Lee Sellers
ALIAS - "The Notorious"
AGE - 34
FROM - Slaughters, Kentucky
HEIGHT & WEIGHT - 6'6" / 277lbs
ALIGNMENT - Heel
AFFILIATION - Duke Womack
COMBAT EXPERIENCE - 16 years
BIOGRAPHY - With 15+ years in the business, Sellers has spent the latter half of his career in Japan alongside Duke Womack. The cowboys from the American southland racked up a great deal of accolades, but with their careers winding down they've decided to cash in on their name value and return to the American market. Sellers is the bad boy of the team, the wild man who gets the group into the trouble. He loves every minute of it, too.
AESTHETIC INFORMATION
PIC BASE - Terry Gordy
CASUAL ATTIRE - Various gym or Lion's Road t-shirts, cowboy hat, boots and jeans.
RING ATTIRE - Black underwear style tights, black kneepads and white boots. A black fingerless glove on his right hand.
ENTRANCE ATTIRE - His cowboy hat and a black leather vest.
ENTRANCE THEME - "Crazy" by Whitey Morgan and the 78s.
DESCRIPTION - The unmistakable sound of the honky tonk guitar in Whitey Morgan and the 78s' "Crazy" signals the arrival of David Lee Sellers. The lion head roars open and Sellers rushes out, takes a swig from his water bottle, spins and chucks the bottle into the crowd before sprinting down the ramp. He slows down and climbs into the ring, then runs around the ring a couple of times before running the ropes.
WRESTLING INFORMATION
WEAPONS -
His 'loaded' glove could be considered one. Otherwise, he's simple - he'll use a chair or a table.
FIGHTING STYLE -
A runaway locomotive. Technical ability, agility but with a very rough and tumble way of doing things. Comparable to Scott Steiner in the 90s.
SPECIAL MOVES -
1. Backfist, which can be thrown in a variety of ways. It has long been speculated that DLS 'loads up' the fingerless glove on his right hand prior to delivering the backfist. He punches the mat or the turnbuckle a couple of times before backfisting the opponent.
2. Engine Stall, a stalling superplex floated over into a pin.
SIGNATURE MOVES -
1. 12 Gauge Lariat, which is usually done as a rebound attack or a surprise charge attack.
2. Running shoulder tackle, done as an attack on a running opponent or as a double team move.
3. Backdrop suplex, nothing fancy.
4. Tilt-a-whirl side slam
5. Northern Lights suplex-style back body drop
6. Commonly throughout matches, Sellers will perform a grapple and begin clubbing his opponent with ridiculous amounts of forearm smashes. Rear waistlock, takedowns, drop toe holds, etc.
ORDINARY MOVES -
1. Back elbow smash to a running opponent
2. Elbow drop to various parts of the opponent's body
3. Kick to the back of an opponent's head
4. Single leg stomp from the second rope
5. Drop toe hold floated over into clubbing forearms to the back of the head
6. Diving elbow smash
7. Flapjack, commonly done inside the ring but can also be done onto the ropes or outside the ring onto the ramp or the apron.
8. Hip toss into a backbreaker
9. Front facelock - grounds the opponent and digs their face into the mat while wrenching the hold
10. Lots of eye raking, scratching, clawing, general cheating. Doesn't need to cheat, but he does.
COUNTER MOVES -
1. His Backfist can come out of anywhere.
2. Catches opponents attempting aerial attacks and suplexes them, sometimes sloppily.
3. Or he might catch them and flapjack them onto the mat or over the ropes.
4. 12 Gauge Lariat can also catch unsuspecting opponents
