HANDLER INFORMATION
NAME - Scott
HOW'D YOU FIND OUT ABOUT LION'S ROAD? - Through Pollomania which I found through Twitter.
PREFERRED CONTACT METHOD - DM’s on the forum are fine.
FIGHTER INFORMATION
NAME - La Cucaracha
ALIAS - Racha, the Canadian Cockroach, the First Roach of Wrestling, Leader of the Infestation Nation, the Wrestle-Pest
AGE - 20.
FROM - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
HEIGHT & WEIGHT - 5’4” inches and 129 pounds
ALIGNMENT - Face. Racha bends the rules against heels as much as she can get away with, but also panders to the crowd for the sake of staying over and moving merchandise.
EXPERIENCE - Two years.
BIOGRAPHY - La Cucaracha first appeared on the national stage early in 2017, when she signed with Pollomania. Winning the crowd over with a combination of shameless pandering and embarrassing silliness, Racha quickly became a sensation with the Pollomaniacs, and was able to capture two singles titles during her time with the promotion. Following Pollomania’s closure, she signed with Lion’s Road. While owned by the same parent company, Lion’s Road was an entirely different animal than Pollomania. Racha’s silliness helped her to stand out in the jungle, but her unpolished wrestling left her outgunned against many of the meticulous technicians and crafty veterans of Lion’s Road. Following a tough loss to Corey Cruelty at Lion’s Road’s last show of 2016, La Cucaracha wondered if she should do things differently in 2017. Perhaps use her real name, abandon her conniving ways, and put forth genuine effort into being a top tier technician. Then she remembered how much money she made selling t-shirts with cartoon cockroaches on them.
AESTHETIC INFORMATION
CASUAL ATTIRE - Ripped jeans, Chuck Taylor’s, her own t-shirt, occasional purple parka.
RING ATTIRE - Predominantly purple with orange highlights. Her purple pants are crawling with stylized orange roaches, made to look friendly and welcoming instead of vile and disgusting. Her boots are orange and have the same roaches on the back. Her top is purple, with “¡La Cucaracha!” in orange over a white starburst. She also has orange elbow pads and purple fingerless gloves for grappling. Recently Racha has ditched her domino mask in favor of purple paint under her eyes. Her hair is generally kept in uneven topknots and ponytails.
Variants include: Canadian Pride La Cucaracha - For Canadian shows, La Cucaracha opts for red and white gear, with maple leaves imposed over the cockroach designs. The starburst on her chest is also redesigned as a Maple Leaf and reads "¡Canada!"
WALKOUT ATTIRE - La Cucaracha enters the arena with one of her own t-shirts over her wrestling gear and an antenna headband stuck in her hair.
WALKOUT SONG - "Cuka Rocka" by Chingon
WALKOUT DESCRIPTION - The opening chords of “Cuka Rocka” announce the arrival of La Cucaracha to the Lion’s Road faithful, inspiring sounds of approval, mild indifference and abject disdain. Purple smoke pours from the lion’s nostrils, as La Cucaracha charges from the creature’s maw, presenting the crowd with a hand gesture that is her best approximation of a cockroach. Many try to mimic the gesture, but few succeed. With one of her own t-shirts over her ring gear and an antenna headband stuck in her messy brown hair, Canada’s fourth insect-themed luchadora advances to the ring, slapping hands and pausing for a couple of tasteful fan selfies along the way. Once at ringside, the Canadian Cockroach removes her headband and places it on the most sickeningly adorable fan she can find. Many cheer, while the ones who see through the shameless pandering hold their tongues for fear of appearing cynical. Racha rolls into the ring, yanking the middle rope to get back to her feet. After pitching her t-shirt to the crowd, she sprints to her corner and climbs to the middle turnbuckle, once again offering the roach gesture to the audience. Once she’s soaked up enough adulation, she jumps back to the mat to await the opening bell.
EXTRA INFORMATION
AFFILIATION - Racha has teamed with Hammerstein and Jan Van Der Roost and considers them her closest allies in Lion’s Road, but the affiliation isn’t official.
WEAPON OF CHOICE - A metal garbage can full of merchandise and treats she can throw into the crowd. Perhaps a t-shirt gun playfully placed under the ring.
FAVOURITE MATCH TYPE - Racha doesn’t necessarily have a favorite gimmick match, but she does well in chaotic matches where her opponents might be prone to distractions. Think battle royals and lumberjack matches.
FIGHTING INFORMATION
SPORTSMANSHIP
Racha is all for shaking hands with any opponent she deems trustworthy, before and after a match. She also tends to tone down her rule-breaking against other faces. She listens to the referee, mostly to avoid being penalized, but still tries to bend any rules she can, particularly against heels.
FIGHT STYLE
Racha is chiefly a technician who specializes in quick pinfalls. Her offense is augmented with a dash of sloppy high-flying and a knack for rule-breaking. While her reputation for cheating is well known at this point, she tends to know when to reign it in during matches so she doesn’t actually get disqualified.
FINISHING MOVE(S)
1. Hiss of Death - Straightjacket DDT.
*Nuclear Option* Verminator - 630 splash from the top rope, done awkwardly and reluctantly. As likely to end Racha as it is to end her opponent, which is why it’s saved for only the direst circumstances.
SIGNATURE MOVES
1. Bug Zapper - Lung blower, with the knees aimed at the back of the opponent’s head.
2. Racha-Rana - Springboard or top-rope huracanrana into a pinning combination. Now with more punching!
3. Kafka-Plex - Fisherman’s suplex setup, but spun neckbreaker style into a pinning combination.
4. Cannonball! - With an opponent seated in one corner, Racha starts in the opposing corner, shouts “Cannonball!” for the sake of audience participation, gets a running start, leaps, and hits her opponent with a human cannonball. Racha goes for a higher arc and tighter cannonball to get extra oomph out of her smaller size.
5. Roach Trap - Cobra Clutch with leg scissors. While Racha starts with the standing approach, she typically follows up with knee shots or a Bug Zapper to bring the opponent down to the mat.
STANDARD MOVES
1. Lots of quick pin attempts - Crucifix, inside cradle, school girl, etc.
2. Assorted cheap shots - Eye poke, toe stomping, using the ropes for leverage
3. Drop-toe hold; both standard and into the middle or bottom turnbuckle
4. Spinning neckbreaker
5. Forearm shots, flying and otherwise
6. Jawbreaker
7. Backdrop(smaller opponents)
8. High angle dropkick
9. Sling Blade
10. Second-rope elbow drop
COUNTER MOVES
1. Thump to the eyes
2. Dropkick to the knee
3. Standing Racha-Rana
