SHINING ROAD SEKIGUN

Takeshi Morimoto is 26 years old and hails from Toykyo, Japan. He is the nephew of Japanese legend, Keiji Morimoto. Rather try to make carry on his uncle's legacy, he has chosen to try to pave out one of his own. Known for his hard strikes and devastating lariat clotheslines, Morimoto likes to finish off his opponents with the Volcanic Buster (fireman’s carry into ¾ neckbreaker), and the Double Arm DDT.

Masayoshi Arimoto is a masked wrestler aged 30 years old, standing at 6’2” and weighing 255lb. Known as “Mr. Meiji” for wearing a Prussian military jacket down to the ring. He has a brawling, punishing style and is known for head-crunching suplexes and drivers. He is a perpetual contender for any championship. His finishing maneuvers include the MTD (Meiji Tombstone Driver, TTD), the Nefarious Elbow (running heavy elbow smash), and the Edo brainbuster (jumping brainbuster).

KOSUKE is a 29 year old native of Saitama, Japan. He stands 6'0" and weighs 242lbs and fights like a bully, preferring to use rough strikes and slams... against those who are smaller than him at least. You won't see him exert himself against larger fighters - he simply picks his spots and blasts them with his signature heavy strikes. KOSUKE utilizes the Special K (Uranage) and the Special KO (Samoa Joe-style Enzuigiri) as signature moves.

BLADE Takano is a 24 year-old from Tokyo. At 5’8” and 180 lbs, he is a Junior Heavyweight, who relies on kicks, submissions and very explosive and intense offense. His signature moves include Nodachi Bomb (Northern Lights Bomb), Wakizashi (Diving Headbutt) and a Snap German Suplex.

Sheik Spectre - At 5’10” and 200 lb, Spectre is a 27 year old Extreme-styled wrestler. He is of Arab descent and has spent his career building a reputation as the most extreme of pro-wrestling. He was born in Saudi Arabia, having a hard life growing up with a Spanish mother and Arab father. He grew up boxing and wrestling to buildconfidence to the school yard bullying. Coming from a well to do familyhe got the opportunity to travel to America to attend Michigan State. While there he got involved in wrestling events in the area and learned that he had a large interested in pursuing a career in Professional Wrestling. He has grown to have a rather graceful aerobatic style in a short stint in Mexico, but still relies heavily on his Boxing and Grappling skills to put down his opponents. His time in the death match wrestling circuit has given him an affinity for barbed wire gloves and nail covered tables. But has given him some anxiety with fluorescent lighting. His finishers include the Tosbeho (Jab-Cross-Upper Cut Combination) and Ma’a salama (Death Valley Driver).

Takeda “Sniper” Izumi stands at 6’2” and 215lb. He is a Muay Thai kickboxer who traveled to Thailand at the age of 16 and has traveled the world over in competitive formats. With a sterling 17-1 record, Sniper Izumi uses his impressive reach to control opponents and his knockout skills are second to none. He has arrived in Shining Road because he wants to try his hand at both pro-wrestling and MMA, seeking to become the All-Japan Imperial Champion. He affiliates with the Shining Road sekigun.

Hiroyuki Fukudome is 30 years old standing at 6’2” and weighing 220lb. He is significantly cross-trained as a kickboxer and has a freestyle wrestling background from his university days while he studied abroad in Italy. He is quoted saying that he could “beat any opponent with blocks and knees” and has a proven track record of doing just that. He affiliates with the Shining Road sekigun in his belief that pro-wrestling should diffuse around the globe. His finishers include the Tuscan Laser (spinning Yakuza kick) and a backdrop hold.

Katsuhiko “Genius” Himura is 21 years old standing at 5’10” and weighing in at 190 lb. An intellectual savant who graduated from Tokyo University at the age of 19 and shunning a prestigious position in the Ministry of Finance to attempt a run at professional baseball, Katsu is the youngest fighter in the promotion. Still technically a trainee, he competes at the bottom of the card and puts his powerful mind to work. He has become an adept technical wrestler. Not having yet developed a finishing move, he typically uses a high-angle single leg crab hold or a backslide pin to finish off opponents.

SAKURA GUNDAN

Makoto Ueno is from Yamaguchi, stands 6’2”, weighs 280 lbs and has a legitimate background in amateur wrestling. Currently 36 years old, he started professional wrestling during his mid-twenties after finding great success in amateur wrestling including a stint as an Olympian representing Japan. He took to a fish to water and quickly became a formidable pro-wrestler, incorporating his Olympic wrestling background into his style to significant effect. His signature moves are the Pan Kratos (Bridging Arm Triangle Choke), Bridging High-angle German Suplex and Capture Suplex.

Ikki Yanagi is 6'3" and 245lbs, 27 years old from Tokyo. Yanagi's in-ring style mixes power and brawling, seeing him utilize the Yanagi Bomb (Last Ride Powerbomb), Go 2 Hell! (crucifix powerbomb into neckbreaker) the Ikki Lariat and repeated knees to a cornered opponent's gut as signature moves.

Zenjiro “Zen” Hayashi is 28 years old. Standing at 6’0” and weighing 232lb, he fights in the strong style and has developed a reputation as one of the stiffest guys in the back. A rising star in Shining Road, his finishers include the Crystal Field Splitter (screwdriver) and the recently added Torpedo Crash (fisherman suplex into sitout powerbomb).

Hajime Tanaka is 30 years old, standing at 6’4” and weighing 268lb. He is a former bodybuilder known to audiences as the Japanese Lex Luger. He frequently displays his incredible strength with various lifting maneuvers and presses. His finishers are the Cannon Press Driver (Military press into Samoan driver), Cannon suplex (swinging Sambo suplex), and the Banebreaker (reverse military press into backbreaker).

At 5’9” and 190 lb, Yoshihiro Sawamura is a 36 year old renowned judoka. He is somewhat of a minor celebrity in Akita prefecture. At the 2014 Pan-Asian Judo Championships he placed fifth in his weight class and shortly after would retire from professional judo. He has since turned to the world of pro-wrestling. He wrestles wearing a plain white judo-gi and is known for his durability and spectacular counter moves. In addition to his various holds and throws, he has two signature maneuvers: the Akita Transmission (hip throw with fluid transition to cross armbreaker) and the Judo Lives! (osoto-gare)

Kishin Nozaki is 25 years old from Nagasaki. He stands 6'2" and weighs 225lbs and wrestles a traditional Jr. Heavyweight style. His signature moves include a high-angle Fisherman Buster, a slingshot leg drop and a leg lariat from the second rope.

Toru Ishii is a 48 year old professional wrestler and mixed martial artist who is currently working for Shining Road. Ishii was the co-founder of Sakura Pro’s MMA venture, and during the 1990s, he was known as one of the best fighters in the Sakura Pro’s promotion and was the second Fighting Emperor champion. Ishii returned to regular puroresu in 2003, when he has become a perennial top contender for all major Japanese championship titles. A mixed martial arts pioneer, Ishii is well noted for his excellence in freestyle wrestling and catch wrestling, and has been praised many times by elite fighters such as Alexander Irvine for his outstanding grappling and submission skills, the two of them hitting head to head more than a couple of times in MMA and Professional Wrestling. His finishers are the Cradle Piledriver and the Shining Yakuza Kick.

”Assassin of Akita” Masahiro Fujita is a 33-year-old boxer with a 21-8-1 professional record. Standing at 5’11” and weighing in at 174 lb, he is a former light heavyweight champion. Known as the “Assassin of Akita” he is lifelong friends with Yoshihiro Sawamura. He is actually making his return to the company, as he competed on SAKURA Pro when it hosted boxing events. Attracted to Shining Road’s continued emphasis on a wide variety of match types, he has agreed to show that boxing is a strongest fighting style the world has ever seen. He primarily will compete in AJSWC-sanctioned events.



Hayato “Falcon” Hamada is a 26 year old Japanese-American born in Okinawa, Japan to a Japanese father and American mother. His father worked as a contractor on the base there where he met Hayato's mother, who happened to be serving their in the United States Marine Corps. At the age of 17 he enlisted early in the United States Navy for the S.E.A.L. program, after renouncing his Japanese citizenship. After being honorably discharged fought a few years in the MMA circuit, leaving with a record of 6-3-2. Eventually he returned to Japan and became a citizen again while training at the Izawa Fujiyama Dojo. With the formation of Shining Road, Hayato formed A.R.M.B.A.R., taking on its role as leader, he finds himself in the middle of the American-Japanese resentment after Pollo Bucket's takeover due to his "tainted" heritage. In addition to MMA moves, his finishers are a reverse DDT and Anaconda Vice.

Kaito Matsushita is 30 years old, 5’9”, 209 lbs and from Kanagawa. With a background in Muay Thai, he started wrestling at age 20. After a moderately successful couple of years he felt that his career didn’t go anywhere and decided to try his hand at MMA. A few years and a subpar fight record later, he retired from MMA. In 2011 he returned to professional wrestling with a new old-school approach and MMA-influenced style from training under Aoki Saito, earning him much success. His M.O. consists of stiff kicks, knees and elbows, as well as brutal submission holds and suplexes. He usually finishes matches with his Dragon Sleeper, Bazūka Kick (Shining Yakuza Kick) and Bridging Dragon Suplex.

Damien “King Temba” Turlan is 34 years old standing at 6’5” and weighing 270lb. A former offensive lineman for the Miami Dolphins, after a career in football he pursued MMA. Despite a 1-5-1 record, he became known for his fiery performances and developed a reputation as a courageous fighter who would never shy away from a slugfest. His only wrestling finisher is the jackknife powerbomb. Otherwise his arsenal features a barrage of punches, especially a ground n’ pound strategy.

Kazuo Inoue is 23 years old, standing at 5’10” and weighing 185lb, he is an MMA fighter that currently has a 3-1 record in the sport. While he does not often appear in Shining Road, he is attached to the A.R.M.B.A.R. stable. Strikes and submission holds are his most common finishers.


Thunder Mask is 34 years old, standing at 5’10” and 217lb. One of the most notable masked wrestlers, he has set the standard for the junior heavyweight division. Always a threat for the title, he uses a judo and karate background in combined with head-busting drivers. His primary finishers are the Thunder MAX Driver (spinning Tombstone Piledriver), a moonsault press, and a gutwrench powerbomb.

DARK FEATHER II (Osamu Fujiyama) - At 6’3” and 210 lb, this 23 year old junior heavyweight is a towering presence in his division, despite his slender frame. A former basketball star at Fukuoka University, Osamu Fujiyama was admitted into the Shining Road dojo and quickly accelerated through the ranks. In honor of his father, Izawa, who wore the mask of DARK FEATHER during the 1980s, Osamu has also donned the mask. Wearing an all-black suit and a beaked, black mask, he blends an assortment of kicks and submission holds into his move-set. His finishing maneuvers are the Swallowing Kick (Yakuza kick to the head followed by a stomp to the head of the downed opponent as his leg falls) and the Terrible Clutch (chicken-wing chokehold with scissors).

"Starboy" Shigeru Toyama is 24 years old from Tokyo. He stands 5'9" and weighs 185lbs and does a terrific job of incorporating a mixed martial arts background with lucha libre from his two year excursion in Mexico. Palm strikes, knees and kicks are a majority of the offense, but Toyama will use quick Judo-style throws or moves like headscissors or hurracanranas to bring his opponent to the mat and try to submit them. His signature moves include the Starboy Special (a La Magistral into a cross armbreaker), Starboy Special II (Leapfrog victory roll into a heel hook) and a flying knee strike.

Chupacabra Jr. aka Javier Sanchez Jr. is a 5’2” 150 lbs. wrestlers who is 22 years old, and hails from Puerto Rico. He spent his youth traveling around with his father to various wrestling organizations to watch him compete, this is where his love for professional wrestling began. He wrestled in High School, always pulling his weight in tournaments but falling short due to his small stature, so his mother dual enrolled him in a gymnastics school where he shined. It wasn’t until his 16th birthday that his father allowed him to start training Lucha Libre and on his 21st birthday that his father passed along the Chupacabra mask after he and his son had an epic ladder match in Mexico City. His signature moves include the Chupar Driver (Samurai Driver), Hurricabra (Reverse Hurricanrana) and a The Sigbin Moonsault (Moonsault from the bottom turnbuckle/rope).



Satoshi Kamakura is 30 years old, standing at 5’11” and weighing 222lb. With a 7-5 record in MMA, he has an extensive combat fighting background. A former GPWS Jr. Heavyweight champion, he has since becomes a freelancer and typically wrestles in the heavyweight division after training in Izawa Fujiyama’s dojo and developing his pro-wrestling repertoire. He typically uses a combination of strikes and submission holds, in addition to a brainbuster and a backdrop hold as finishers.

Jimmy Winner is 28 years old, standing 5'11" and 229lb. A ruthless technical wrestler, he first made a name for himself with an MMA victory over Jeremy Squire at BLACK LION'S ROAD BOM-BA-YE New Year's Eve show. As a member of BLACK Lion's Road, he has come a long way in making himself a crafty fighter despite his goofy nature. His finishers include the Champion's Lock (Grounded Full Nelson), the Winnin' Kick (a running face kick patterned after Julian Cutlass' Blazin' Kick), and the Battlin' Cry (an elbow smash where he takes the opponent to the ground, falling into an elbow drop on the canvas).

KRAKEN stands at 6'6" and weighs 450 lb. A behemoth of a man, he also possesses decent athleticism for his size. He affiliates with Buck U Productions and has formed a successful tag team with Iron Mack Brody. His finishers include a leg-trap chokeslam, moonsault press, and snap powerbomb.

Iron Mack Brody stands 6'8" and 335 lb. Brody is a hard nosed brawler, who fought his way around the Texas independent scene before making a name for himself in Puerto Rico and Japan. There's nothing more that he likes than a good fight, unless it's getting paid really well to beat people up. He has formed a tag team with fellow Buck U superstar Kraken. His finisher include an Oriental Spike and the Iron Cross (spinning crucifix toss).

Big Cage Mike, real name Mike Dangerfield, age 43, stands at 6'4" and was born in the hills of West Virginia though his family moved to Detroit at the age of five. Being a boy with a southern drawl was not a gift when living in the Motor City and he spent his youth in an out of Juvenile Detention Centers for battery charges. Usually such a story would end in tragedy of some kind, but Mike always loved professional wrestling so he emancipated himself at the age of 15, quit school, and tried his lot in the ring...only to find out he had no skill. But due to their existing fans with a thirst for blood he found a home as a God of the Death Match. In his late twenties, Mike went down hard for possession charges during a long love triangle between him, the ring, and cocaine. Since then he has returned to the ring, finding a new home in Japan where their matches are a special kind of sick. His finishers are the Big Cage Bomb (Jackknife Powerbomb) Back Door Parole (Disgusting Release German Suplex), and the Cocaine Blues (Kick to the Balls followed by a Bulldog)

Julian Cutlass is 35 years old, stading at 5'11" and weighing 219lb. An amateur shootboxer during his college days, a brief stint in the Navy would bring him to Japan and introduce him to professional wrestling. He trained under Izawa Fujiyama and became the master's first foreign disciple. Wrestling under the Two Paths combines his shoot-style with the King's Road gives him a unique skill set. He is best known for his work in Lion's Road Pro-Wrestling. His finishers include the Blazin' Kick (running face kick), the Requiem Exploder (wrist-clutch choking exploder suplex), the Knee Bomber (double-underhook knees to head of prone opponent), and a lariat.

Alexander Irvine is 39 years old, 5'10" and 220lb. After his time in the Marine Corps he became a pro-wrestler where he has won numerous world championship across the globe in pro-wrestling and shootfighting. He once trained under Flex Montana during his time as Maple Leaf Wrestling Association World Heavyweight Champion. This association gives him a lot of heat with the Japanese fanbase due to Montana's sordid history in the country. Although capable of a variety of moves, he emphasizes his MMA skills in the ring. NOVA DIVISION

Akira Nakamura is 20 years old, standing at 5’10” and weighing 199lb. Studying Karate and Jiu-jitsu during his university days gives him a marked advantage over many of the younger wrestlers. Graduating from Fujiyama dojo in May 2017, he soon thereafter began fighting in Shining Road. He plans to work his way up from the bottom. His finisher is an STF.

Shinzo Takamori is 26 years old, standing at six feet tall and weighing 215lb. Getting somewhat of a late start in his pro-wrestling career has not deterred this former professional ice hockey standout. While not as technically proficient, his toughness and ability to absorb punishment makes him highly respected. His finisher is a high-angle release German suplex.

Nobosuke Okada is 21 years old, standing 5’8” and weighing 175lb. A highly-touted gymnast and swimmer during his university days, Okada might just be one of the most talented pure athletes on the roster. He has a somewhat flashy style and many bloggers and analysts say he has superstardom in his future. His finishers are a flying knee and a rolling axe kick.

NOTABLE ALUMNI

Takeo Yoshida is 50 years old, standing at 6’2” and weighing 245lb. He is the first and also a five-time GPWS Heavyweight Champion and is considered the father of the original Sakura Pro company. He is often referred to as “Mr. GPWS” by the media and is the current president of Shining Road Pro-Wrestling. His finishers included a sleeper hold, cross armbreaker, and backdrop suplex.

Hidehiko Nagata is a 44 years old, 20+ year veteran of the sport. Standing at 6´1” and 255 lbs, the Hokkaido native was in his prime during the golden era and is known to most fans today as the guy in crimson-colored gear who wrestled their favorite legends. Even if he is often overshadowed by the more legendary of his peers, many still celebrate him as one of the greats of his time and has held more championships than most can count. Today he is past his prime, but continues to chop, kick and suplex his way into the hearts of the modern fans. His signature moves include the Crimson Miracle Driver (Vertical Suplex Emerald Flowsion), Crimson Killer (Running High Knee) and Backdrop Driver.

Toru Yamashita is 49 years old, standing at 5’10” and 230lb. He was a favorite teammate of Makoto Ueno during the early days of Sakura Pro and retired in the late 2000s. He serves on the Board of Regents and maintains a friendly relationship with most of the roster, though his association with Ueno has convinced most that he has sympathy for SAKURA GUNDAN. His primary finisher was the Sensei Plex (spinning Fisherman’s suplex)

Flex Montana is 42 year old, standing at 6'5" and 275lb. A body-builder and champion power-lifter, he wrestled primarily for companies such as Valhalla Championship Wrestling and Federation MAPLE! during the early 2000s. He has an infamous reputation for winning the GPWS Heavyweight Championship while in Sakura Pro and fleeing the country in possession of the title and forcing the company into bankruptcy. He is despised for this reason. His finishers are a face chokeslam and the DAMN SLAM (snap powerslam). 

Aoki Saito passed away on 12 December 2015 at the age of 47 from complications of heart failure. He is a former GPWS Heavyweight and Tag Team champion and an MMA fighter cross-trained in kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He was the trainer of Kaito Matsushita and is most remembered for bringing MMA prominence into Sakura Pro from the earliest days of the promotion.

Izawa Fujiyama is 55 years old, standing at 5'11" and weighing 195 lb. During the 1980s, he donned the mask of DARK FEATHER and became one of the most infamous junior heavyweights around. Soon after winning the first Sword of Lite Grand Prix, he would retire and start his own pro-wrestling dojo which has become a de facto training center for Shining Road Pro-Wrestling. His finishers were the Black Death Kick (Yakuza kick) and a chicken-wing cross-face submission.

The Red Marvel is a Canadian legend! At 48 years old, this 6'0" / 205lbs man is on his last stand in his career but intends to go as long as he can. Marvel was a standout hockey player in the Western Hockey League, but suffered an injury in training camp during his overage year. Not content with sitting out on the sidelines, he donned a red mask and began working spot shows in Alberta. Once cleared, he returned to hockey where he was unable to retain his previous form which he attributes to being bitten by the wrestling bug. His signature moves include the Slap Shot (a flying double axe handle), Red Bread Winner (Cradle Piledriver) and the Red Eye (Just Facelock/Seated Bridging Crossface).

Great Leo III is 27 years old from the Jungle! He stands 5'9" and weighs 193lbs and has been wearing the legendary lion's mane mask for the last couple of years after having it bestowed upon him by the original Great Leo. Leo fights like a combination of the first two Leos, utilizing the shoot style background of the original and incorporating the high-flying of the second. His signature moves include the GLS (Great Leo suplex - a hammerlocked Northern Light suplex), the Kimura (often neckscissored) and a slingshot shoulder tackle.

Duke Womack is 39 years old from Stillwater, Oklahoma. He stands 6'1" and weighs 255lbs and is a cold and calculating technical brawler. There is nothing flashy or spectacular about him beatin' on his opponents. His signature moves include the Spinebuster, DDT and Gator Roll submission.
