We open up to the Shining Road Review studio. In the backdrop we see a screen that has the Shining Road logo and various clips from the latest matches. Seated at a table are Solomon Bentley and Kai Harrison as the cameras roll.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
Hello everyone and welcome to this inaugural installment of the Shining Road Review! I'm Solomon Bentley along with my partner, Kai Harrison. We’ve got a lot to talk about after a wild, raucous night down at the Bushidokan!
KAI HARRISON:
That’s right, Solomon. This is one elite group of wrestlers that we’ve collected here. I'm ecstatic to be out here and be a part of this great promotion.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
The Shining Warriors Tag League kicked off and saw two of Lion’s Road Pro-Wrestling’s standouts – James Edwards and Jimmy Winner – pick up a win. I think these two are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the tournament.
KAI HARRISON:
James Edwards is back and he looks better than ever. With his performance tonight, he’s put both Shining Road and Lion’s Road on notice that the Burning Heart is taking no prisoners. We also saw the Kraken put on a big display in the 6-man tag.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
For much of the night, the fighters from the Shining Road sekigun were on the losing end. Legendary junior heavyweight and reigning GPWS Jr. Heavyweight champion Thunder Mask defeated the young upstart, Katsuhiko Himura. Hajime Tanaka defeated KOSUKE in singles action, and then the leaders of SAKURA gundan – Makoto Ueno and Ikki Yanagi took down Hidehiko Nagata and Starboy Toyama. But the sekigun would have the last laugh as “Mr. Meiji” Masayoshi Arimoto and Takeshi Morimoto fought a grueling match against Zen Hayashi and renowned judoka Yoshihiro Sawamura that had the fans on their feet.
KAI HARRISON:
This main event was an instant classic. It took not one, but TWO Volcanic Busters from Morimoto to put away Zen Hayashi.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
Here are the updated standings of the Shining Warriors Tag League.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
Now is the time of the week where we give out our Fighting Spirit Award. Who do you got this week, Al?
KAI HARRISON:
I’ve got to give it up for James Edwards. To dive into hostile waters halfway around the world and bring your A-game, that truly showcases what the Burning Heart is all about.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
Well, that’s all the time we have, folks! Next week we’ll get you caught up on all the action in Shining Road Pro-Wrestling!
