FIGHTING INFORMATION
SPORTSMANSHIP
If Noel Gallagher grew up in a coastal town in the American South and instead of picking up a guitar and started writing songs, he found himself a dojo or gym and just started wailing on a heavy bag - you'd have Julian Cutlass. He's opinionated - neither afraid to share his admiration for those fighters he's fond of nor will he pull his punches regarding those who he feels don't meet his standards. Loves competition and training. Emphasize the artist in martial artist, possesses a cosmic, near-apocalyptic view of the power of professional wrestling.
FIGHT STYLE – He uses a hybridized shootfighting/King’s Road style of fighting. Initially, shootfighting techniques are used to attempt to score a quick victory, but as a match goes on his repertoire features higher impact maneuvers (e.g. suplexes, drivers), and escalating levels of offense to score the victory. It’s not uncommon even for him perform the same finisher or signature maneuver repetitively to close out a match if necessary (e.g. using 3 lariats in a row to finish off an opponent). He compares most favorably as a blend between Yuji Nagata and Shinsuke Nakamura or a more athletic & shoot-oriented Toshiaki Kawada.
FINISHING MOVE(S)
One (or two, if you have a backup, submission or nuclear option/big match finisher) move that will end your opponent's evening if you get the chance to use it.
1. Blazin' Kick (a running face-kick [often] to a downed or stunned opponent, similar to Yakuza kick and often performed sliding when opponent is downed; primary finisher)
2. Fire Tiger Suplex (a half-nelson/chicken-wing suplex; RARELY used)
SIGNATURE MOVES
These are four so moves that your character will utilize to attempt to setup their finishing move(s). Refrain from any super killer moves in this section because signature moves are just that, and (usually) not designed to finish a match - although they may in a particularly long and gruelling bout.
1. Lariat
2. Nagata Lock III
3. "The Flying Cyprus" (spinning tilt-a-whirl backbreaker)
4. "Knee Bomber" (gets opponent into a double-underhook while opponent lies prone & face down and proceeds to attack the back of the heads with knees; used as a submission hold)
STANDARD MOVES
These are ten or so moves that your character will use throughout the course of the bout to lead into using their signature moves and eventually their finishing move(s). I do ask that you utilize some common sense when compiling these and refrain from the big freakin' move syndrome that seems to affect efedders everywhere - don't flesh out your standard moves with finishing moves because a) it looks stupid and b) I will ask you to change it. It makes zero sense and is completely unbelievable for someone to have such fire power in their offense. Use this section to tell me and any other match writers what strikes your fighter might use and in what situations, what areas your fighter might attack with strikes and submissions, what moves they might do out of a collar and elbow tie-up and so on and so forth.
1. Exploder suplex
2. Punch/kick combinations
3. Jujigatame (cross armbreaker/armbar)
4. Running palm strike
5. High-angle "dangerous" backdrop hold
6. Rear naked choke
7. Headlock-into-hip throw
8. Repeated elbow strikes
9. Guillotine chokehold
10. Mongolian chop
COUNTER MOVES
Anywhere from 3 to 5 counter moves that your character may use to swing the momentum in a match.
1. Enzuigiri
2. Cross armbreaker/armbar
3. Backslide pin
4. Lariat (often from a standing position he launches himself forward, catching the opponent in between moves)
