The camera opens in the backstage area as Lion's Road interviewer Becky Chande stands with a microphone in her hand and a smile on her face.
BECKY CHANDE: Ladies and Gentleman, my guest at this time is the man who currently holds four points in the Iron Road competition and he is set to meet Heritage Champion Alexander Irvine tonight. Graham Gosch.
He walks into the shot with a black 'TIDEofBLOOD' t shirt on, the gym he trains out of in Boston, Mass. He nods his head with pursed lips at Becky acknowledging her introduction.
BECKY CHANDE: Graham, you've made comments on social media and in your promo for tonight that you've scoffed at the competition you've had in Lion's Road.
Graham holds his index finger up in protest, non-verbally cutting Becky off
GRAHAM GOSCH: It's not disrespect Becky, you see Lion's Road is known around the industry as having elite talent throughout the three branches underneath the company. But the rate at which this industry has steered itself away from actual wrestling and into backflips off the top rope and fancy carthwheel kicks like this is Barnum and Bailey. That's not wrestling. That's ballet. That's trash. So now I find myself in the ring with the old guard of technical wrestling in Alexander Irvine and we're going to actually wrestle.
She seems a little freightened by Gosch, but not because he's physically intimidating her. Graham's demeanor is very intense as he adds extra inflection to each word that comes out of his mouth.
BECKY CHANDE: Okay, and tonight against the Heritage Champion you have an opportunity to prove yourself to fans and company. What does this mean to you?
He laughs to himself and shakes his head, taking time to rub his hand through his beard.
GRAHAM GOSCH: Heritage is a funny word. Everyone lays claim to their heritage as if the past accomplishments or accomplishments of their ilk should impress all of us. It doesn't. The Heritage Championship doesn't mean anything to me when my heritage founded the very catch wrestling style that I emulate and tonight it's the heritage of Gosch Style that takes will take down the Champion of Lion's Road Heritage. Limb from limb I will break down the aging Irvine until the fans reach for a white towel to throw in only to hope that I show mercy to their hero. But I won't.
Taking a brief moment to look into the camera Graham shows a hint of a sadistic smile before he leaves the camera shot.
BECKY CHANDE: Thank you.

JAKE AARONS Ladies and gentlemen, this Iron Road bout is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first from Buffalo, Iowa! He weighs in at two hundred and fifty four pounds... GRAHAM GOSCH!
Gosch takes off his "I Crippled the Crippler" t-shirt and slaps the turnbuckle.
JAKE AARONS His opponent from Keokuk, Iowa! He weighs in at two hundred and fifteen pounds... ALEXANDER IRVINE!
Irvine bounces up and down, readying himself.
JAKE AARONS Your referee for this bout is Cordell Garner!
Cordell Garner signals for the bell, Graham Gosch and the Heritage Heavyweight Champion Alexander Irvine circle around before getting in close proximity to each other. Irvine tests his range with a jab, Gosch is patient - waiting for his opportunity to swoop in for a takedown. Irvine grabs a single over hook but Gosch slips free, goes behind and grabs the Champion in a rear waist hold. Irvine uses his right hand to grab Gosch's wrist and slinks his left arm under Gosch's left, to grab his own wrist - trying to set up a standing double wrist lock. Gosch wisely keeps his hands clasped together to prevent that from happening though. Irvine knees Gosch's hand, pinching his fingers between the knee and Irvine's forearm, freeing up his grasp and allowing Irvine to apply pressure to the kimura - but he doesn't! Irvine goes behind, tries to apply a half nelson. Gosch steps behind, trips him up and lands in side control. Gosch stands back up and dusts off his hands like it's no big deal as the Heritage Champion returns to his feet.
CHAD GOMEZ Okay, so Gosch held his own against Chrenshaw but he won due to injury. He's going to come into this match and tease the Wolf?
SAM HEWITT Like it or not, Chad. His tactics and skill set have people talking, he's quickly made Graham Gosch a household name here in Lion's Road.
The two put their hands up, looking to engage in a knuckle lock but Gosch dashes in for a single leg at the last moment. He struggles, but eventually trips up Irvine and takes him to the mat where he ends up in guard. Irvine upkicks him, so Gosch gets off his knees and grabs Irvine's ankle, holding it out to control the Champion's movements a bit. He delivers a kick to the thigh of the Wolf then shoves the leg aside, diving into side control. Irvine scrambles to his feet and slaps Gosch across the face! The man who claims to have "Crippled the Crippler" gets up and smashes a forearm into Irvine's face! Irvine applies a clinch and begins driving knees into Gosch, who backs Irvine up into the ropes to call for a break. Irvine shoves Gosch backwards, Gosch responds with a kick to the midsection! Garner steps in, telling Gosch to back up and Irvine to get off the ropes. Irvine drills Gosch's midsection with his shin, then peppers him with palm strikes! Gosch crouches down, covering up and shoots in...
SAM HEWITT Alexander Irvine with beautiful takedown defense - stopping Graham Gosch by sprawling out.
Irvine hits him with a couple knees, but Gosch fights back up to his feet. A few forearms connect before Gosch is able to pull away, Irvine quickly grabs the clinch on him and pulls him into close quarters again but Gosch blocks the knees! He responds with a forearm of his own then stomps Irvine's foot! The Heritage Champion grunts as Gosch scoops him up and dumps him back down with a fireman's carry. Irvine gets up and nailed by a cold shot to the face, he shakes it off but Graham goes for a second, Irvine ducks it... SAMBO SUPLEX THROW! Irvine lands in side control and tries to mount, but Gosch rolls as he does - landing in half guard on Irvine! Gosch smashes him a couple of times with his open hands and tries to advance, but Irvine grabs an arm and clamps on a triangle choke! Gosch calmly uses his free hand to try and keep Irvine from locking it in completely, but fails! Irvine squeezes his legs together while pulling on the arm causing Gosch to kick his leg over the bottom rope for the break! Garner counts!

5!
Garner forcibly separates the two men, then produces a yellow card for Irvine.
JAKE AARONS Referee Cordell Garner has issued a yellow card to Alexander Irvine for failing to break by the count of five! This is Irvine's first public warning.
Gosch pulls himself free from Irvine's grip, smashing him with open hand slaps as he stands up.
SAM HEWITT Gosch is none too pleased about Alexander Irvine refusing to break the hold by the count of five and he's not shy about letting the Wolf know!
CHAD GOMEZ But guess what? He didn't break the hold and all he got was a warning. That's five, six, seven seconds that Irvine had Gosch trapped in a triangle choke illegally. Could've easily went out during that time. So Mr. Gosch should thank his stars that he didn't.
Gosch jumps down into Irvine's guard and presses his forearm up against the Heritage Champion's face, pressing it against the mat as he holds down Irvine's right arm with his other arm, then advances into side control whereupon he places his left knee on Irvine's wrist, freeing up his hand - and moving his other hand off of the Heritage Champion's face. He quickly drops a downward elbow onto Irvine's bicep, Irvine recoils but can't get free due to his arm being held down. Gosch drives a second one in, Irvine brings a knee up and catches him in the ribs! Gosch straightens out in pain but tries to fight through, Irvine does it a second time and Gosch has to abandon his tactic. Irvine tries to get up, but Gosch jumps on him in sprawl position. He clamps down on the front chancery, then gator rolls! He winds up in side control where he grabs Irvine's arm, slinks his own arm under... FIGURE FOUR ARM LOCK!
IRVINE LOCKS HIS LEGS AROUND THE BOTTOM ROPE!
Gosch lets go and stays on his knees for a moment, then climbs to his feet. Irvine takes his time, but Gosch doesn't seem to mind... because as soon as he's up, he grabs an arm and wrenches it around - cranking on the wrist in particular. Irvine fires several forearms into Gosch's face with varying success, but he still can't break Gosch's grip. Gosch tries to wrench it again, but Irvine leaps up... FLYING KNEE!
SAM HEWITT He missed!
Gosch dodges it, but is forced to let go of Irvine's arm. Irvine goes behind... choke sleeper!
CHAD GOMEZ Say goodnight!
Irvine yanks Gosch to his feet, Graham tries to step behind but Irvine transitions into a guillotine choke... and spikes him with a DDT! He maintains the choke, Garner slides in to check... and calls the fight! Gosch is shoved away from Irvine and in his dazed state, struggles to his feet and protests the stoppage. Irvine rolls out to the floor and raises his arms in victory as Garner attempts to explain his reasoning.
SAM HEWITT It appears that Gosch isn't too happy about Garner's call to stop the fight, but it appeared that he was out after the DDT.
CHAD GOMEZ Look at the replay! His body goes limp, his dazed state after Irvine let him go lends credence to it... but it was likely just a flash knockout.
SAM HEWITT Good call by Garner, disappointing for Graham Gosch who has put his name on the map in this Iron Road and even in defeat, looked great here tonight. Fans, for Chad Gomez, I'm Sam Hewitt - we'll see you on Thursday!
