We open up to the studio and we see Solomon Bentley and his fantastic mustache. He shuffles some papers on the desk.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
Welcome everyone to the Shining Road Review! There was big action tonight down in the Bushidokan. We saw #1 contenders arise for both the GPWS Tag Team titles and the Junior Heavyweight championship.
KAI HARRISON:
That’s right, Solomon. Sheik Spectre would defeat DARK FEATHER II after debuting his new finisher, a devastating fireman’s carry into a spinning sitout reverse piledriver! He calls this move the Fertile Crescent.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
A frightening moment in the ring. We also crowned contenders for the tag team championship. Let’s cut to the video-feed for grand finale of this #1 contenders match for the tag team championship.
Solomon possess an impressed grin.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
An all-timer, indeed. Next week Kraken and Iron Mack Brody will make their V2 defense against KOSUKE and Himura.
KAI HARRISON:
They’ll be outsized, but these two guys have heart and will. I have a good feeling about them.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
We also had BLACK Lion’s Road fighters on tonight’s card. Ikki Yaagi would defeat Jimmy Winner under catch wrestling rules, catching him in the fifth round with a kneebar! It was a highly competitive match between both men. I think they both emerged with respect. Earlier in the night, Julian Cutlass and Alexander Irvine would team with Big Cage Mike to defeat the all-giant team of Kraken, Brody, and “King Temba” Damien Turlan. Cutlass and Irvine showcased their tag spirit when they caught Brody in the Dead Zone where Cutlass rained knees while Irvine kept the big man in a Texas cloverleaf hold!
KAI HARRISON:
Another devastating move we saw this evening. The wrestlers are really picking it up out there. It’s too bad Julian Cutlass will be returning to the States for awhile while he prepares for his V8 defense of the King of Lions title against A.J. Knight. Best of luck to you, Julian.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
Indeed. On next week’s show, we’ll have Makoto Ueno defend the All-Japan Imperial Championship against Hidehiko Nagata. What do you think, Kai?
KAI HARRISON:
Ueno has a lot of skill while Nagata oozes experience. This’ll be one for the ages.
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
It certainly will. Who wins your fighting spirit award tonight?
KAI HARRISON:
It’s gotta be “Captain Lariat” Ikki Yanagi. He used his judo background to pick up a nice win against a fellow wrestler in Jimmy Winner. It wasn’t easy, but he’s looking to get back on track as one of this company’s rising stars!
SOLOMON BENTLEY:
An excellent choice. Well, that’s all the time we have. See you next week, folks!

On the outside of the ring, Hajime Tanaka has Himura backed up against the steel post and delivers thunderous chops into the young wrestler’s chest.
The camera returns inside the ring. KOSUKE and Zen Hayashi are both sprawled out with their backs against the canvas. The referee goes over to check on them.
TIM FLOSS:
Those guys look out cold, but we have to have a winner here tonight!
ALBERT MORDECAI:
Hayashi hit KOSUKE with that running knee smash, but as this match approaches the half-hour mark, the fighting has taken its toll!
Slowly, the two men get to their feet. Hayashi runs at KOSUKE, who is on one knee – SHINING KNEE SMASH!! Hayash goes for the pin! The leg is hooked!
1…
2…
3!!!!
NO!!! FOOT ON THE ROPE BY KOSUKE!
Hayashi looks over to the ref with pleading eyes. He gets up to his feet and brings KOSUKE with him. Hayashi throws KOSUKE against the ropes and goes for another flying knee – KOSUKE raises an arm to block it! Hayashi spins around for a ROARING ELBOW! KOSUKE ducks and intercepts him with a URANAGE!! THE SPECIAL K!! He covers!
1…
2…
3!!!
The bell sounds!
TIM FLOSS:
My Gawd! The upstart team of KOSUKE and Katsuhiko Himura have done it! They’re gonna face Krak-n-Mack for the tag titles next week! This match was an all-timer!
