LAST WEEK ON STAR ZONE...
We open backstage to Becky Chande who's standing there watching a monitor with a bandaged AJ Knight, who's eyes look cold, distant and filled with anger but his face... is totally blank. BECKY CHANDE AJ... I'm both very happy and very surprised to see you here this week.No response. BECKY CHANDE Happy because you weren't seriously injured in that heinous attack by Hammerstein last week. Surprised because... you can't be 100% so w--AJ pushes her microphone down gently, but remains silent as he walks off. BECKY CHANDE Um... okay. I'll send it to you guys, I guess.SAM HEWITT Thanks, Becky. Wow, I can't say I've ever seen AJ Knight like that.CHAD GOMEZ I mean, I want to crack a joke about the guy being silent for the first time in his life but what Hammerstein did was... just indescribable. Kicking a guy when he's down in front of his nephew who looks up to AJ so much. I was getting a kick out of watching him during the title bout. He was up and down the entire twenty minutes and his whole world deflated when Cutlass scored the fall... but that was nothing compared to the look on his face when AJ was bloodied up by Hammerstein driving him into the chair. There's professional rivalries, there's heated battles... that's something beyond all that. That's just hatred. Let's go to break, Sam.

JAKE AARONS Ladies and gentlemen, this bout is to be fought over a ten minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first from Lexington, Kentucky! Weighing in at two hundred and four pounds! JAMES EDWARDS!Edwards does a quick martial arts bow. JAKE AARONS His opponent from Hollywood, California! He weighs in at two hundred and twenty seven pounds! SCOTTY LATIMER!Latimer removes his jacket and tosses it to a stage hand. JAKE AARONS Your referee for this bout is Xavier Price! Referee Xavier Price signals for the bell to be rung and it does - we're off and running! Edwards beelines for Latimer who hops out of the ring and laughs as he pats his index finger against his temple, telling Price to "chain that gorilla up". Price tells Edwards to back up and let Latimer back in and he does, Latimer gets up onto the apron... pauses... then hops back down. Edwards pushes Price aside and exits the ring after the tag team champion. Latimer turns and greets the former Iron Champion with a right hand! Edwards returns fire! Edwards! Latimer! Edwards! Latimer! Edwards! Latimer! KNEE TO THE GUT! Edwards doubles over from the shot, Latimer grabs him and tries to run him into the post but "Burning Heart" gets his foot up and blocks it! Latimer tries to slink back inside the ring, but Edwards grabs him and slithers in behind him! Latimer manages to turn onto his stomach and peppers Edwards with shots from the top as he's on his own stomach. Latimer pops up and tries to drop an elbow across Edwards' face, but he rolls away and gets to his feet. Latimer tries to recover quickly, but Edwards grabs him and knees him in the midsection - a receipt for earlier no doubt! Slap! Slap! Slap! Latimer reels into the corner from the slaps, then gets bombarded with forearms! He goes down to his knees and Edwards clamps on a front chancery and tries to pull the Ravishing one away from the ropes - but Latimer has wisely wrapped his legs around them! SAM HEWITT James Edwards has not been shy about his intentions here tonight. He wants to win, no doubt about that, but he wants to soften Scotty Latimer up so that he's not 100% heading into next week's tag title defense against the Hardliners. Championship gold has changed Hammerstein, his former best friend and Edwards wants nothing more than to be a catalyst in them losing the straps.CHAD GOMEZ I would think finding a partner and challenging them for it would be the logical way to go, but the Burning Heart doesn't really play well with others. I mean, his only friend was Hammerstein for crying out loud.Price begins his five count, Edwards releases at four and Latimer lunges for a takedown. Edwards trips, but upkicks Latimer off him and both men roll to their feet. Latimer back pedals around the ring as Edwards glares with that ice cold stare. Edwards springs toward Latimer, but the Ravishing gets a knee up. Edwards gasps for air as Latimer grabs him by the head and clubs him with a forearm! Before Edwards can teeter, Latimer turns him around and clutches both hands underneath his chin... then knees him in the small of the back. Edwards falls forward against the ropes. Latimer advances, attempting to grab him but a back elbow catches him and sends Latimer staggering across the ring. A clearly ticked off Latimer spits a tooth out and rushes Edwards, who headbutts Latimer! Latimer goes down to a knee, Edwards pulls him up... FOREARM BY LATIMER! EDWARDS! LATIMER! EDWARDS! LATIMER! EDWARDS! LATIMER! EDWARDS! Latimer goes down on one knee again, Edwards tries to grab him but Latimer grabs the waist of Edwards' tights and yanks him forward, sending him out to the arena floor! Price holds up a yellow card. JAKE AARONS Referee Xavier Price has issued a yellow card to Scotty Latimer for throwing James Edwards out of the ring! His first public warning!Latimer rolls out, ignoring the instructions of Xavier Price and goes right after Edwards... who swings with a back fist! IT CONNECTS! Latimer stumbles away, falling to his knee several times as he struggles to latch onto something to maintain his balance. He finally grabs the middle rope and hoists himself up and inside, but Edwards has rolled in on the adjacent side and pulls him up... bashing him head first into the top turnbuckle! Latimer lays against the buckles, chest heaving as Price pulls Edwards back and tells him to let Latimer get out of the corner. Edwards does so, Latimer pushes off and turns around into a right hand! Latimer crashes down into the corner again, Edwards backs off as Price checks on the tag team champion. Latimer is deemed OK to continue and Edwards shoves Price aside, but Latimer cheap shots him! Edwards clutches his throat! SAM HEWITT Oof! Scotty Latimer with a punch to the throat! Not exactly ethical, but it was James Edwards who shoved the referee aside so I don't think he caught it. Edwards turns back toward Latimer and eats a superkick! He goes down! Latimer grabs his throat, mocking Edwards as the Thunder Bay crowd boos him. He proceeds to drop an elbow, then clamps on a side headlock with Edwards on the mat. "YOU'RE GONNA HURT ME, HUH!?"Latimer squeezes on the headlock, but Edwards legs come up and wrap around Latimer's head, pulling him back. Latimer slinks around, then does a handstand up and over into a pinning bridge! 1... ... 2-EDWARDS WRAPS HIS ARMS AROUND LATIMER'S WAIST! BRIDGES UP! Edwards hangs on as they twist back around... HOISTING LATIMER UP! FOLDING POWERBOMB! 1... ... 2... ... 3-NO! SAM HEWITT What an impressive display of athleticism from Scotty Latimer, going from the headscissors to a bridging pin and then Edwards shows tremendous strength as he powers up from the bottom, twists around and plants Latimer with a thunderous powerbomb in what was almost three!Edwards pulls Latimer up into a seated position, then looks to the crowd... THEY ERUPT! He shyly smiles, then backs into the ropes... he storms out... SHINING TRIANGLE! THE MYTH'S END! Latimer tries to fight it, pulling away but Edwards grabs his feet and pulls it tighter... Latimer holds on a bit longer, looking up at the stage to see if anyone's coming... but then decides not to feed Edwards' desire to injure him and taps! The crowd cheers, but Edwards keeps the hold on! Hammerstein dives into the ring, stomps away on Edwards then pulls him up. He throws Edwards out to the floor, exiting after him. He grabs him up and slams him into the ring post! Latimer rolls out of the ring, trying to get his wits about him as Hammerstein puts the boots to Edwards. Latimer gets up and barks an order at Hammerstein, telling him to spike Edwards into the concrete! Hammerstein yanks Edwards to his feet and begins to set him up for the Hammersteiner, but Matt Pulver nails a double axe handle smash to his back! Edwards falls to the ground, Hammerstein to his knees and Latimer jumps after Pulver! The two go fighting off toward the guardrail, Hammerstein recovers and makes his way after Pulver but gets swung around by Ben Chrenshaw! Hammerstein nearly trips over Edwards trying to get away from Chrenshaw! Justin Seville rushes out, getting between Hammerstein and Chrenshaw - telling the Crippler to take him on! Chrenshaw smirks and welcomes the fight! Pulver and Latimer are separated by security, but Pulver nearly breaks loose when he spots Seville - who laughs at him! CHAD GOMEZ Chaos reigns supreme here in Thunder Bay!SAM HEWITT That's for sure! It looks like security is taking Latimer to the back and the rest are going to stay out here for the main event.CHAD GOMEZ Oh, great...Gomez isn't lamenting on the main event, he's making reference to the fact that Hammerstein has taken refuge on the stage and is pacing back and forth in front of Mandeville Nelson. Before Mandy can even speak... HAMMERSTEIN SHUT YOUR MOUTH, MANDEVILLE NELSON!Thunder Bay doesn't like that. HAMMERSTEIN YOU PEOPLE SHUT UP AND LISTEN, TOO!He calms down a bit, as do the boos. HAMMERSTEIN James Edwards, you wanted to try to injure my tag team partner because he "murdered" me? You’re even dumber than I thought! He didn't murder me, you idiot, he SAVED MY LIFE! Becoming a Horseman saved me from a life of mediocrity, something you, and those two back jumping lowlifes, Chrenshaw and Pulver would have me relegated to. A life of losing and disappointment, just like that waste of space AJ KNIGHT!AJ! AJ! AJ!HAMMERSTEIN AJ, you've run your mouth for months, bragging about tearing families apart. Talking about how you don't want a fight with me, then how you want a fight with me. Now, after I've given you, and all the rest of Lion’s Road, something to talk about, you dummy up. You got nothing to say. I guess getting your ass beat in front of Little Davey FINALLY shut you up!The crowd boos, but quickly turn to cheers as AJ Knight walks out, expressionless. He gets right in Hammer's face, Mandeville Nelson tries to stay within range but a shove from AJ to Hammerstein sends him off in a hurry. Hammerstein struggles back up and makes a run for the curtain, but AJ grabs him by the hair! AJ is talking all kinds of shit to Hammerstein, who looks like he's begging off! Pulver and Chrenshaw cut off Seville from helping! NO ONE TO HELP HIM!
NO ONE AT ALL!
EXCEPT FOR...CHAD GOMEZ You've got to be kidding me!SAM HEWITT El Hijo de Pollo?!CHAD GOMEZ He's not a horse, he's not even a man.... he's a chicken!Pollo catches AJ by surprise and grabs hold of him, throwing him into the video wall. The screen spider cracks as AJ falls to the ground, Hammerstein cackles with laughter as security pulls Hijo away and medical staff attend to AJ Knight as we go to break.

EARLIER THIS EVENING...
We go to the back, outside a boardroom, to find Eli Buchanan talking on his phone. "I'm telling you Carl, we've got the match. Yeah, Dave is in with Lion's Road execs putting the finally touches on the contract. Don't worry about anything, I'll make sure someone hand delivers that copy of the contract to your front. Yeah, sounds good. Say hi to Lily and Logan for me."He puts his phone in his pocket just as Becky Chande walks up, microphone in hand. "Pardon me, Eli, but I was wondering if you could let our viewers in what you're doing here?"Eli smiles widely and chuckles. "If you must know, Dave and the lawyers from Buck U Pro are currently meeting with the higher ups here to finalize the match next week for the World tag Team Title shot with Carl Whitaker and I, The Hardliners, facing The Midnight Horsemen. Seeing as we've beaten or chased out every other team around here, I think it's about time to add some gold around our waists."Becky Chande looks thoughtful for a moment before speaking. "That would mean you would finally be getting in the ring with Jacob Hammerstein, your brother-in-law and former friend."Eli nodded. "That's right. Like I stated yesterday on social media, for the right price I'm willing to get in the ring with him and the opportunity to become a champion brings a lot of money with it. Don't get this all twisted though, Becky, this is purely business. If the roles were reversed, I'd be expecting the Horsemen to be gunning for us as well. Now it you'll excuse me..."Becky dares to put a hand on his shoulder. "Sorry, Eli, just one last question. What are your thoughts on what Hammerstein did to AJ Knight last week?"Eli stops and turns around. His face grim. "Becky, as my wife likes to say, I can be a cruel hearted scoundrel, and everyone out there knows how I feel about AJ Knight. There is only a hand full of people in this world that I despise more than him. I wouldn't even piss on him if he was on fire. The thing is though, I'm a father and I have a hand full of nieces and nephews myself, and what Hammerstein did to AJ in front of his own nephew disgusts me."He brushes her hand off his shoulder. "And you can quote me on that."Without another word, he turns away and opens to the door to the boardroom. As the door shuts, the camera pans back to Becky. "Well there you have it, ladies and gentlemen, even Eli has an ounce of decency in him somewhere."

SAM HEWITT And we're back! Our main event is set to begin as we've got the Midnight Horsemen, Hammerstein & Justin Seville teaming together as a pair for the first time. They were together in the big eight man tag a couple weeks back, but the big news of the match is the team across from them. Lauded as a dream team, it's the combination many fans never thought they'd see... Matt Pulver and Ben Chrenshaw. CHAD GOMEZ Desperate times call for desperate measures.SAM HEWITT And in a rare sight, there are no seconds at ringside for this match. Scotty Latimer was taken to the back, James Edwards is being attended to by the medical staff as is AJ Knight after El Hijo de Pollo - yes, you heard me correctly - El Hijo de Pollo surprised everyone and saved Hammerstein from AJ by throwing the kid into the video screen. He's been carted off by security, Alan Envy is not here this evening... so we've got an even playing field for once. Chrenshaw starts out with Hammerstein, circling around before locking up. Hammerstein backs the Crippler up into the ropes and Cordell Garner orders a break, Hammerstein wiggles free of Chrenshaw's grasp and belts him with a shot to the ribs! Chrenshaw replies with a forearm! Hammer takes a wild swing, Chrenshaw ducks and dropkicks Hammer in the back! The American Monster falls down to his knees and rolls over into a seated position, looking back at Chrenshaw and mouthing him off. Chrenshaw smirks as Pulver slaps the top turnbuckle, rallying the fans behind his former rival. Hammerstein gets to his feet and circles around again, he and the Crippler nearly engage in a lock-up but it's a knee to the gut that doubles Chrenshaw over and allows Hammerstein to gain the upper hand. He grabs Chrenshaw's chin, keeping him upright and winds up with a big right hand to the solar plexus. Chrenshaw gasps for air, but Hammer pushes him back against the ropes and then takes a moment to get in Pulver's face - telling him that he and Seville can't wait to piledrive him on the floor again! Hammer grabs an arm and whips Chrenshaw out, but it's reversed! Chrenshaw goes to deck Hammer on the rebound, but the man who now resides in Los Angeles hangs onto the ropes and drops to the mat and rolls out. Justin Seville turns to the crowd, adjusts his tights then steps through the ropes. CHAD GOMEZ That's what a cohesive unit looks like, Sambo. You can drum up all the mutual respect you want between Chrenshaw and Pulver, but you have to be on the same page. Seville and Chrenshaw circle about with "Serious" calling for a knuckle lock, the two get one hand each interlocked... but then Seville pulls him in for a lock-up and quickly backs the Crippler up against the ropes. Garner calls for a break and much like Hammer, Seville backs away and drives a fist into his ribs... then one to the skull! Seville grabs him and tries his luck at whipping him across the ring, but Chrenshaw reverses and changes direction - whipping Seville into the corner! The number one contender for the King of Lions rushes in, but eats a boot to the ribs! Chrenshaw turns and falls to a knee, Seville hoists himself onto the second rope and waits for Chrenshaw to stand up. He leaps off... DOUBLE AX-NO! Chrenshaw gets him with a punch to the midsection! Seville rolls forward from the shot! Chrenshaw looks up at Pulver and rolls out. The crowd roars as Pulver leaps over the top rope, runs into the ropes, bounces off and dropkicks Seville in the shoulder! Seville gets up, seeking redemption in the form of a tag but finds a punch from Chrenshaw instead! Pulver catches him coming back with a forearm! Seville bobs between Chrenshaw and Pulver eating a shot from each until he drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring, Hammerstein jumps down off the apron and rushes to his partner's side. SAM HEWITT Justin Seville finding himself between a rock and a hard place - no man's land as you've often heard it called. CHAD GOMEZ And it's Cordell Garner's duty to ensure there's no interference from the parties on the apron. I don't see the Horsemen pulling that kinda thing here tonight.SAM HEWITT Karma is wonderful, isn't it?Hammer and Seville have a huddle, then agree on a strategy. Pulver holds the ropes open, inviting either man into the ring. Hammer flips him off and Seville slides in, Pulver and Seville begin going toe to toe! Strikes aplenty! Forearms everywhere! The fans are going wild! Pulver gets the upper hand! One forearm after another! He backs Seville into the corner and then Irish whips him across! Seville goes sternum first into the buckles and drops to the mat, then rolls out again! Hammerstein goes to retrieve him, ignoring the automatic tag. Pulver gets on the middle rope, yelling at the two men to get in! CHAD GOMEZ Why doesn't he just go out there and get them?SAM HEWITT I think he's wise to their whole operation by this point.CHAD GOMEZ You never know, Sambo. That piledriver on the floor might've knocked some screws loose.Seville climbs onto the apron and slowly begins getting in the ring, as Hammerstein goes around back to his side of the ring... AND SLIDES IN! He ambushes Pulver from behind as Seville drops down to the floor and proclaims their intelligence to the fans. Hammer presses Pulver against the ropes and unleashes a mighty right hand on his former ally, then knees him in the midsection. He throws him into the ropes, ducks... Pulver leaps over! Pulver rebounds off the ropes... CROSS BODY BLOCK ON HAMMER! 1... ... 2-KICK OUT! Hammer kicks out and quickly rolls out of the ring, Justin Seville gets back in and stomps on Pulver before he's even aware of what transpired. He grabs the young Swede and chucks him into a neutral corner, lifting a leg and putting it on the outside of the ropes. He drives his knee into it several times - knocking Pulver to the mat at the count of four. Garner tries to step in between, but Seville pulls Pulver away from the ropes and yells "there, now shut up!" before applying a spinning toe hold. Hammerstein reaches between the ropes and slaps Pulver in the face, asking him how it feels! Garner admonishes him and Hammer of course brings it up a few minutes earlier when Seville was in no man's land. Seville releases the toe hold, extends the leg out on the mat and leaps up... driving both knees into the leg! Pulver cries out in pain! Seville pulls him into the middle of the ring, applies the spinning toe ho--NO! Pulver kicks him off! Seville goes flying into his corner! Hammer has to dodge, but slaps his back for a tag! Pulver turns and tries to leap into a tag from Chrenshaw, but Hammerstein stomps the leg! He then waffles Chrenshaw, but doesn't get all of it! The Crippler chuckles and slowly gets in the ring, Hammer backs up - calling for Garner to do his job! Garner steps between the two men and Hammer uses this chance to pick Pulver up and throw him over the top rope! BOOOOO~!!!!!!Hammer's getting big heel heat for what should be an instant disqualification, but Garner didn't see it as he was getting Chrenshaw to go back out to the apron. Hammer goes to the outside and throws Pulver back inside the ring, then slides in - grabbing the leg from the outside so Pulver can't even consider getting away. Hammer looks to the crowd and spins around the leg, crosses it over... FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK APPLIED! Pulver is in agony! Garner asks him if he wants to submit, but he says no! Hammer reaches up, looking for the ropes... but Seville grabs his hands and cranks from the apron for the extra leverage! Garner looks back, but Seville has let go... Hammerstein puts his arms behind his head like he's relaxing. Garner looks away and the two try it again, but Garner catches them in the act! He forces the hold to be broken, Hammer rolls it - Seville gets in! He pulls Pulver up to his feet, pulls him between his legs... PILEDRIVER TIME! PULVER CHARGES HIM INTO THE CORNER! CHRENSHAW TAGS IN! Pulver keeps Seville pressed against the turnbuckles as Chrenshaw pounds away on him! Pulver drops to the mat and rolls out to the floor at the count of eight, Chrenshaw begins delivering knees to Seville's midsection then finishes him off with one to the head! Hammerstein charges into the ring, but Chrenshaw turns and dropkicks him in the knee! Hammer goes down and out to the floor! Chrenshaw tries to catch him before he goes, but is too late! He stands up, turns around.... SUPER-NO! He catches the foot, Seville hops in place... ENZUIGIRI! Chrenshaw goes down... Seville gets up, Pulver grabs an arm, wrings it into a hammerlock! He tells Chrenshaw to roll out before he LEAPS UP! HEADSCISSORS! ROLLS THROUGH! CRADLE! THE MATT TRAP II! 1... ... 2... ... 3! The fans come unglued! SAM HEWITT A taste of redemption for Matt Pulver! Pulver rolls out of the ring and in a moment of happiness, hugs Ben Chrenshaw... who looks very confused by that. Pulver realizes this and laughs it off, raising his hand in the air instead. Hammerstein climbs back inside and Seville gets up and shoves him, the two begin to argue. SAM HEWITT Fans! It looks like the dream team's win might have caused some dissension between the Horsemen! We're out of time! See you next week!
