The camera shifts to the stage where Mandeville Nelson is standing between AJ Knight and Hammerstein, two security guards on either side of Nelson as well. There is tension in the air as the two stare each other down. MANDEVILLE NELSON I would like to remind you again that there will be no contact of any kind here tonight."LET THEM FIGHT!" "LET THEM FIGHT!" "LET THEM FIGHT!" MANDEVILLE NELSON If either one of you lay a hand on each other, or one of these security guards - you'll be suspended for the duration of this year. HAMMERSTEIN And that right there is all that's keeping me from kicking your worthless ass, AJ.AJ keeps his eyes locked on Hammerstein, but smirks. AJ KNIGHT Rationalize however you like, Jacob, it's about all you're good for anymore. You and I both know that it's there so that I don't tear you limb from limb because this time, you're right in front of me - you don't have anything to hide behind. So, let me ask you this... what's it going to take for you to man up and fight me one on one, Jacob? No Horsemen, no Pollos - just you and me.HAMMERSTEIN Rationalize it? Kid, listen... you've wanted to talk this out since I waffled you with that chair inside MSG. I don't have to or need to hide behind anything or anyone. Hell, Mandy... life the no contact clause. Let's do it right now, I don't need my group. I certainly don't need Pollo - that was for Holly, but the fact that he kicked your ass was just a bonus. A two for one special. But hey, let's do this right here.Nelson steps between the two men as they step forward. MANDEVILLE NELSON Enough!Nelson looks at both men and the fans are eerily quiet now... hoping this powder keg explodes. MANDEVILLE NELSON This no contact clause is serious business. I would hate to have to suspend you for the rest of the year, but I'll do it if I have to. Hammer and AJ don't like the response, but clench their teeth as they get closer to one another. Nelson remains firm and the two fighters each take a step back. AJ KNIGHT So why hide behind everything you could possibly imagine? Are you afraid of having to go back to Holly after having your ass handed to you by your worst enemy again?Hammerstein's smirk isn't a cocky one, but very clearly a "fuck you" that gets a smug AJ smile in response. AJ KNIGHT ...what? You don't like bringing family into it? You can dish it out, but can't take it?Hammer smiles. HAMMERSTEIN You're right, you're right... that's pretty hypocritical of me. I dished it out, I can take it... but in the spirit of all that... bring your slut sister and that little bastard of a chi--AJ lunges at Hammerstein, but gets intercepted by the security. Hammer chuckles as he backs up and lets security do their job. As they're containing AJ, Hammerstein gets right close to him and laughs in his face. HAMMERSTEIN Tsk, tsk, tsk... you almost broke the clause, AJ. Was that you wanted? Get suspended, get a reprieve from the ass whippin' I'm gonna give you, right? Not gonna happen! Because next week, I'm gonna finish what I started three months ago in New York. Be careful what you wish for, AJ because you're gonna get it, AJ. And you have NO ONE to blame but yourself. Hammer chucks his microphone at AJ and walks through the curtain, AJ continues being held by security as Nelson picks up the microphone and the show heads to break.

SAM HEWITT From the City of Lakes! Sudbury, Ontario! Hello fight fans, my name is Sam Hewitt and I'm flying solo this week because Chad Gomez has the flu! We're not going to waste any time getting going here. We've got El Temerario, yes, he's back! He's in the ring getting ready to square off against Dexter Severin. Now, Temerario's reason for coming back was that he felt Severin was disrespectful to Lynx, a fellow masked wrestler in last week's match - attacking him before the bell. If you know Severin, that's par the course with that man.
We change to the ring.
JAKE AARONS Ladies and gentlemen, this is a singles bout to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first from Mexico City, Mexico! He weighs in at two hundred and one pound! EL TEMERARIO!
The lucha star gets a warm welcome back from the Sudbury crowd.
JAKE AARONS His opponent from Riverside, California! He weighs in at two hundred and forty pounds! DEXTER SEVERIN!
Severin is still on the outside, taking his time getting in.
JAKE AARONS Your referee for this bout is Robbie Morris!
Referee Robbie Morris tells Temerario to stay back as Severin enters the ring, then heads over to pat him down. Severin lifts a leg, but shoves Morris aside when he bends down to check the boots - opting instead to rush the lucha star from behind just as he did to Lynx last week! Severin grabs Temerario and twirls him around in the corner, battering him with shots to the midsection to double him over and then 12-6 elbows to the head and neck! Temerario is down to all fours and tries to scurry away, but Severin stomps him on the back of the head. Morris intervenes and admonishes Severin for his tactics in the early moments. The luchador gets up to a knee, Tragick grabs him up and leads him right into a knee to the gut! Temerario falls again, but Severin pulls him back up to his feet and pushes him against the ropes. He shoots Temerario off and goes for a lariat, but Temerario ducks it! He continues, leaping onto the second rope and takes out Tragick with a tornillo!
SAM HEWITT Quick cover!
1...
...
2-NO!
Severin kicks out, Temerario gets up and tries to pull Tragick to his feet but Dexter Severin pulls Temerario's leg out from underneath him and brings him crashing to the mat in a hurry. Severin gets up and takes a walk around the interior of the ring, mocking Temerario by holding the back of his head in faux pain. Temerario tries to roll up to his feet but Severin grabs him and begins slamming his forearm across the masked face... and starts tearing at the mask! Morris warns him that mask removal is an instant disqualification, but a quick tear is all he does. Severin grabs him up by the new enlarged hole in his mask and punches him!
SAM HEWITT Well, I guess that explains the tearing of the mask - he wanted something to target.
Temerario goes down and Severin begins stomping away on him. Temerario tries to roll under the ropes to get a reprieve from the barrage of boots, but Severin grabs an arm and a leg and drags him back inside. He latches onto the mask and pulls him to his feet, then scoops him up and drives him into the corner with his shoulder! Temerario only has a moment or two to catch his breath before Severin drives his shoulder in a second time! Severin backs off and lets Temerario fall down to the mat, the man from Riverside, California holds his stomach in pain - again mocking Temerario on the mat. Severin then tells Temerario that they've had enough fun and sizes him up for the superkick. He goes for it, but Temerario ducks underneath and rebounds off the ropes... FLYING KNEE STRIKE! Severin is staggered, falling into the corner and down to the mat. The Daredevil luchador climbs up onto the second rope and leaps off... FLYING BODY PRESS! He takes Severin out, but is down and out himself!
SAM HEWITT That's why they call it high risk! Temerario threw his body into Severin to take him down, but it hurt Temerario just the same!
With both men down, Morris begins his ten count. Severin starts stirring by three and is up to his knees by six, Temerario kips up and beats Severin to his feet despite not looking like he was going to just a second or two ago. Temerario feeds the man known as Tragick with several forearm shots, then looks for the uppercut... but it gets blocked! Temerario tries for a kick, but Severin catches that too and lets Temerario hop helplessly in place... ENZUIGIRI! Tragick goes down and Temerario gets to his feet, rallying the crowd behind him! Severin gets to his feet... JUMPING HEADSCISSORS TAKEDOWN! Severin rolls right back to his feet... JUMPING SPIN KICK BY TEMERARIO! RIGHT TO THE MUSH! Severin goes down! Lateral press!
1...
...
2...
KICK OUT!
Temerario gets up, judges the distance for a moment and then grabs the ropes... he leaps up, springboard... BLIND PLANCHA! Temerario misses as Severin ducks underneath, then turns and blasts him as he sits up with a superkick! The crowd oohs the sound of it as Severin covers!
1...
...
2...
...
3!
Severin gets up, shaking his head and holding his mouth from the earlier spin kick. He grabs Temerario by the mask and yanks him up, he rips it some more... but LYNX slides in and Severin chucks Temerario's body at him and rolls out. Lynx stands tall over his fallen ally, challenging Severin who tells Lynx to stop being a loser!
SAM HEWITT It looked like Severin was planning to unmask El Temerario before Lynx wisely came out to save the day. In a fair fight, it appears Severin wanted no piece of him. Despite Chad's absence, I can already hear his retort to that - "Well, he just fought a match!". I guess he did, haha. Nonetheless, Dexter Severin picks up the win but this issue may not be over yet. We'll be right back!

The scene fades in on Matt Pulver, sitting in a dimly lit locker room. Already dressed in his ring gear, he looks into the camera with a calm but serious expression.
MATT PULVER “You’ve heard stories of a man who, despite his small size and relative inexperience, did these seemingly impossible feats.
A man who had his head stomped through a chair by El Hijo de Pollo, but still rushed into battle against him, with a hurt neck, and beat him. A man who went through the worst torture Ben Chrenshaw could come up with – three times - but refused to quit. A man who withstood everything Alexander Irvine threw at him, for months, before not only facing him, but also defeating him in a steel cage. A man who even the unstoppable King of Lions, Julian Cutlass, couldn’t put down. You never took those stories seriously, Justin, and well... I don’t blame you - because you never met that man.
But you will.”
He pauses, before looking down at his hand and starts to wrap it in tape.
MATT PULVER “It’s no secret that I sort of ‘lost my way’ for a while. That was the story of Matt Pulver for the most part of this year; I had grown soft, I had lost my fire, I had fallen from grace. Around my first title match against Cutlass, I started to think too much. Hesitate. The pressure got to me. That made me an easy target. I was fairly high up in the hierarchy of Lion’s Road - but also easy to pick on. And you sure didn’t hesitate taking a shot at that target.
Even after I started to get back into the groove, I still had a tough time fighting you, especially when the Horsemen entered the picture. I got too wrapped up in thinking about honor and doing the right thing. I still fight for honor, don’t get me wrong. But this is No Holds Barred – this is war. Honor may be the banner I will carry into battle, but once I’m on that battlefield, I have to do everything and anything in order to defend it. Without thinking about anything else. I have to let go of thought and let my natural killer instincts guide the way.”
He finishes wrapping the hand, bites off the tape at the appropriate length, and begins wrapping the other hand.
MATT PULVER “That’s why I was able to beat you in that tag match three weeks ago. Sure, if you look at my performance in that match on the surface, you probably wouldn’t notice any change in how I fight. But if you look closer you’ll see why I was able to wrap you up in that Hammerlock Headscissors Cradle. I’ve been trying to use that move in a match for a long time, but whenever the opportunity presented itself, it was just too complicated. Too much to think about. And when you have so much other things going around in your head, it’s impossible to pull off a move like that. It demands your undivided attention. Letting the killer instincts guide the way. That’s what I did. But that’s only the warm-up. With my unwavering focus on the fight, and only the fight, just imagine what else I can do.”
As he finishes wrapping the second hand, he smirks a smirk that would Ben Chrenshaw proud, before looking up at the camera and letting the more serious expression return.
MATT PULVER “I know this probably sounds like your usual wrestling promo bravado; like I'm just acting tough and trying to intimidate my opponent – but I just want to give you a fair warning. You know, a part of me wants to tell you to not go through with this; that it’s not too late to back out. But that’s the part I have to suppress. Because it is too late. You’ve already made your decisions.
Now it’s time to deal with the consequences.”
Fade to black.

As we come back from break, the tension is in the air again as AJ Knight and Hammerstein stand on opposite sides of the ring as seconds in support of their allies.
JAKE AARONS Ladies and gentlemen, this is a No Holds Barred bout! It is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Disqualification and count outs are still in play, but the referee will not call for a break if the action finds itself near the ropes. Introducing first from Raleigh, North Carolina! He weighs in at two hundred and twenty four pounds... JUSTIN SEVILLE!
Seville raises his arms as the crowd boos, Hammerstein is the lone support for him.
JAKE AARONS His opponent from Leksand, Sweden! He weighs in at one hundred and seventy five pounds... MATT PULVER!
Pulver in contrast gets a huge pop from the Sudbury crowd. AJ pats him on the back and tells him he's got this, Hammerstein glares from the other side.
JAKE AARONS Your referee for this bout is Xavier Price!
The bell sounds, Matt Pulver and Justin Seville circle the ring and begin testing their range against one another. Each man weary of the fact that getting too close to the ropes could be their downfall as rope breaks are completely useless in this bout. Seville bobs and weaves a bit, then goes for a right jab - Pulver dodges it and then lurches forward, Seville checks the leg kick. Pulver swings with a left hook, a left jab from Seville catches him and staggers him back! "Serious" starts forward as Pulver stumbles, but the man known as Matt Wrestling keeps his composure and manages to sneak in a couple leg kicks as Seville is coming forward! Seville goes for a hook, but misses and Pulver grabs a hold but the larger Seville quickly counters it into a rear waist hold.
SAM HEWITT German suple-no! Not quite! Pulver manages to sneak his leg in there and block it, still landed a bit uncomfortably though and Seville remains in top position!
Seville has back side control on Pulver and goes for a hamemrfist, but Pulver sprints to his feet. Seville tries for a kick as he's getting up, but it narrowly misses the head of Matt Pulver! Pulver and Seville get back in the centre of the ring and circle around once more, each looking for the other to make the first move like a couple of teenagers on Prom Night. Pulver goes for a forearm smash, but Seville catches him with a knee to the gut! Pulver back pedals in a bit of pain, Seville charges ahead and goes for a body kick but Pulver cracks his base leg with a leg kick and knocks him on his ass! Pulver storms into Seville's guard!
SAM HEWITT You see Justin Seville apply the body lock as soon as Pulver postured down - a very wise choice against a dangerous submission fighter like the young Swede. You limit his movement and control it.
Seville delivers some shots from the bottom as he holds Pulver's head as he tries to break free... and does! A heavy shot rains down on Seville, who turns in an attempt to cover up. The body lock still applied, Pulver drives the point of his elbow down onto Seville's thigh to hopefully loosen the squeeze on his midsection. Seville lets go of the body lock and brings his knee up against Pulver's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission hold. His attempt is futile though, he reapplies the body lock just as Pulver cracks him with a forearm! Seville grabs Pulver's head and pulls him down, but the Swedish warrior begins hammering fists down across his face! Seville lets go of the body lock and Pulver uses the opportunity to pop back up to a standing position and kicks the downed leg of Seville! Seville gets up to his feet, backing into the ropes by instinct but referee Xavier Price reminds him that Pulver can attack him there. Seville steps forward with his fighting stance and Pulver forces him to eat another leg kick!
SAM HEWITT Pulver doing an excellent job of targeting the leg whether it's standing with the leg kicks, or on the ground with the elbows to the thigh. He could be using that to setup a submission or he very well could be using it to assist him should he wind up in a compromising position and Seville tries for his signature piledriver. He could still pull the move off with one bad wheel, but he would not get the necessary height needed to deliver the thunderous impact.
Seville and Pulver throw feints for a good thirty seconds, trying to get the other one to open up and make a mistake. Pulver goes for a leg kick, but Seville backs up. Pulver roars in and delivers a second and backs up, Seville lunges forward looking for a right hook but Pulver ducks it! Seville nails him with a left! Pulver staggers as Seville comes in for the kill, but Pulver grabs his head and neck and drives a knee into his head! Seville backs up, a bit wobbly... Pulver comes forward, throws a few shots to the head - Seville dodges... FLYING HEEL HOOK BY PULVER! Seville tries desperately to free himself, he even grabs the ropes that he's right up against but no holds barred means...
SAM HEWITT He taps!
Pulver releases the hold and gets to his feet, all smiles. Seville rolls out to the floor where he gets verbally assaulted by Hammerstein, his second. AJ Knight jumps into the ring and hugs Pulver just before Price grabs his arm and raises it in victory!
SAM HEWITT Matt Pulver scores big with the flying heel hook as Seville was dodging strikes. In a normal bout, it woud've been broken up immediately because it was in the ropes but Pulver seemingly kept himself aware of the rules and caught Seville with nowhere to go. Huge win for the kid!
Seville limps to his feet, shoves past Hammerstein and walks to the back as AJ again raises Pulver's hand in victory.

JAKE AARONS Ladies and gentlemen, this is a Heritage Heavyweight title bout and your main event of the evening! It is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner!
The lights go down and the arena stays black through the garbled opening rift of Highly Suspect's "My Name is Human"...
"Okay..."
Strobe lights move along with the easy beat of the song and James Edwards walks out with his ring jacket hood up. He takes a few moments to look at his surroundings, then takes off his hood with the opening lyrics. He moves to the meandering pace of the music, with his eyes fixated on the ring. He climbs down the stairs, then laps around the squared circle before sliding under the bottom ropes. His music fades out as Voodoo Johnson's "Swear it to the Sun" takes over the sound system. Alan Envy walks out onto the stage and stares out at the crowd, then at James Edwards in the ring. He points to his t-shirt... DON'T BE LIKE JAMES EDWARDS etched across the front. He slowly walks down the stairs, where we see the back of the shirt - PROFESSIONAL CRYBABY. Envy smirks as Edwards no sells the troll attempt. He hops up on the apron and stands there a moment before looking around, he climbs through the ropes and throws his arm to the side.
JAKE AARONS Introducing the challenger! From Lexington, Kentucky! He weighs in at two hundred and four pounds... JAMES EDWARDS!
Edwards takes a few martial arts style bows, then heads back to his corner.
JAKE AARONS Introducing the champion! From Fort Worth, Texas! He weighs in at two hundred and thirty four pounds... the current, reigning and defending Heritage Heavyweight Champion! ALAN ENVY!
Envy holds his title belt up before handing it off to Cordell Garner.
JAKE AARONS Your referee for this bout is Cordell Garner!
Garner checks both men over and is about to call for the bell. Envy removes his t-shirt and chucks it at Edwards, who swats it down and kicks it out of the ring. The bell sounds to begin our main event and James Edwards and Alan Envy walk out to meet each other in the middle of the ring. Words are exchanged and those words are quickly getting heated, Envy tries for a push kick but Edwards begins slapping the shit out of him with alternating palm strikes! The champion tries to cover up, so Edwards brings the violence in the form of knees! Envy tries to take cover with the ropes, but not before the Burning Heart lights the champion up with kicks to the hamstring! Envy goes down underneath the bottom rope and stays there, Garner steps in and forcibly backs Edwards up but the Burning Heart pushes him aside and goes back to stomping on Envy, then shoves him to the floor! Garner pulls out a yellow card!
JAKE AARONS Referee Cordell Garner has issued a yellow card to James Edwards for refusing to adhere to the instructions of the official and for knocking Alan Envy out of the ring. This is his first public warning!
The fans boo as Envy lays on all fours on the outside, chuckling away. Edwards isn't too happy with Garner's call, but takes the moment to calm himself down.
SAM HEWITT Edwards recognizing that his temper, his Burning Heart if you will, could get him into some serious trouble in this bout. Best to take a moment and cool yourself down, especially since I'd expect Alan Envy to milk the ten count as a way of trying to tick Edwards off but I think in this instance it may have the opposite effect. We'll see.
The Champion does indeed milk the ten count, climbing back inside at nine. Edwards immediately greets him with kicks to the body as Envy gets to his feet, and the champion's attempts to grab a leg only result in more kicks with the opposite leg! Finally, Envy grabs a leg and charges Edwards back into the corner where Edwards hammers his fist into the side of the champion's head. Garner calls for a break, Edwards raises his arms up to show the referee he's not restricting Envy's movement... Envy yanks him out of the corner by the leg and hoists him up... SPINEBUSTER into the centre of the ring! Envy rolls off, Edwards turns over and goes to get back up but Envy runs in and dropkicks him in the shoulder! Edwards goes down, grabbing his arm and Envy takes a moment to recuperate. He gets up, sees Edwards in the corner and walks up - putting the boots to him. He backs off at Garner's request, but turns around and runs in with his second dropkick of the match! Aimed directly at the shoulder! Edwards yelps and falls over as Envy gets back up, grabs the challenger and whips him across the ring into the opposite corner! The Heritage Champion charges in, but Edwards lunges forward and cracks him with a desperation elbow strike! Envy is staggered, falling to a knee. Edwards keeps a hold of the top rope to maintain his balance. Edwards sizes Envy up and goes for a spinning backfist, but Envy ducks it... and blasts the challenger in the stomach with a kick! He grabs him in a front chancery and snaps him over with a suplex!
Floats over!

2...
KICK OUT!
Envy rolls Edwards onto his stomach, then grabs him in a rear waist hold and pulls him up to his feet... he tries to lift him!
Edwards blocks!
Standing switch!
GERMAN SUPLEX!
Edwards gets up, experiencing a bit of a dizzy rush by the looks of it. Envy flattens out on his stomach as Edwards shakes his head while grabbing the ropes. He exits out to the apron and the crowd murmurs as he begins climbing.
SAM HEWITT The allure of championship gold can make a man do things he wouldn't normally do, James Edwards is heading up top!
Envy is on all fours and looks around for Edwards, who's perched up top. Envy gets up to one knee, then the other and turns around into...
DIVING LARIAT!
Edwards hits his mark, but lands with a thud! The challenger pushes himself up off the mat and crawls toward the corner with Envy flat on his back. The champion sits up and the crowd roars it's approval as Edwards crouches down then springs into a sprint. VIOLENT GOS-NO! Envy lies back down and rolls out of the ring! Edwards stops and reaches through the ropes to grab his opponent, but Envy grabs his head and brings him down throat first across the middle rope! Edwards goes down inside the ring and Envy climbs up onto the apron and ascends the ropes himself. With Edwards down, Envy shouts HAIL TO THE KING and leaps off... DIVING ELBOW DROP! IT CONNECTS! He crawls over to Edwards after landing and drapes his body across, hooking the leg!
1...
...
2...
...
3-NO!
Envy questions the count, but Garner maintains it was indeed a two count. Envy shakes his head and grabs his challenger up off the mat, pulling him into a front chancery... Edwards charges him, almost on instinct alone into the corner. Edwards tries to back up, but Envy keeps a hold of the chancery and turns back toward the centre of the ring looking for the DDT again... but Edwards counters into a Northern Lights suplex! Edwards rolls away from the heap of carnage and gets to his feet, but drops back down to a knee. Envy rolls onto his stomach and crawls toward the ropes, Edwards crawls over to him and slaps on a choke sleeper! Envy grabs the ropes immediately and Garner's there to count!
1...
2...
3...
4-Edwards lets go, but he grabs Envy in an inverted headlock and tries to yank him away from the ropes but Envy wraps his legs around them to hold on. Edwards lets go and goes to forcibly pull Envy from the ropes, but eats an elbow! Edwards doubles over, bloodied up by the shot and Envy hooks the arms... TIGER DRIV-NO! Edwards kicks his legs out and gets put back down, Envy drives a knee into his chest and clamps on the front chancery, looking for the DDT... but Edwards charges him into the ropes, then holds him as he backs away... NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX!
HE BRIDGES!
1...
...
2...
KICK OUT!
Edwards gets up, runs to the ropes... VIOLENT GOSPEL! The soccer kick connects with Envy as he's sitting up, knocking him right back down! Edwards covers!
1...
...
2...
...
3!
Edwards rolls off, looking like a huge weight has come off his shoulders. He scrambles to his feet and falls against the top rope, Garner brings him the Heritage belt and waits for him to stand under his own power to raise his hand. Edwards winces as his arm goes up, but looks at the Heritage belt and manages a smile. He raises it high as the Sudbury crowd cheers him! Envy is being tended to by Dr. Pierson and stage hands. Edwards ignores the post match parade of photographs and media and heads to the back.
SAM HEWITT A night that was not kind to the Midnight Horsemen! The dominant group takes two Ls and loses a belt in the process, James Edwards becomes the eighth champion since June 9th, 2016 and gets his second taste of gold here in the Lion's Road! Fans, I'd like to thank you for joining us this week! Next week, it'll be big... AJ Knight vs. Hammerstein! Hopefully Chad will be over the flu by then! We'll see you next week!
