During School he’d pretend to recreate moves he had seen on television, grabbing combs and television remotes to do fictional in-ring promo’s to the mirror in his bathroom. Seeing an advert to be trained in the art of Professional Wrestling, Scott spent all his money to sign up to live his dream. Wrestling in the final incarnations of the SCCW (Simcoe County Championship Wrestling) & WCCW (World Class Championship Wrestling) performing and challenging in the NeWA World Television division; TV appearances for Mark Ward’s Sin City Wrestling, amongst many other promotions all over the world.
EQUIPMENT – Black classic wrestling boots. Wrist and palms covered with white sports tape, Trunks with Elbow/Knee/Kick Pads have different designs each week.
WALKOUT ATTIRE – Custom t-shirt underneath a long coat tail suit jacket and tie.
CASUAL ATTIRE – Custom tailored suits (ranging from black, charcoal, navy etc) and dress shirts.
WALKOUT THEME – “Bring the Ruckus” by Manafest
WALKOUT DESCRIPTION – “Bring the Ruckus” by Manafest begins to blast through the sound system around the arena, Scott Matthews comes out from the back with a childish smile brimming from his face. The crowd react in an unsavoury manner as he stands on the stage, scanning the audience with the smile turning to a snotty sneer, Scott begins to slowly strut down the aisle way as he ignores the fans and walks around the ring before stepping up the steps. Wiping his feet on the ring apron and stepping through the ropes, he gives the referee the filthy look before walking over to his allotted corner and takes his tie, jacket and shirt off and hanging it on the ring post.
WEAPONS – Brass Knuckles (hidden in trunks, in pocket of jacket hanging from ring post, previously stuffed in corner turnbuckle pad). Fireball (using a concealed lighter, lights a piece of flash paper or a firecracker and throws it at the opponent)
FAVOURITE MATCH TYPE – First Blood Match
SPORTSMANSHIP – If the referee is distracted or knocked out then he’d use cheating tactics, he would shake hands but looks distained in doing so and if the referee signals for the bell/looks other way then he’d use the thumb to the eyes or illegal headbutt. If opponent is injured then Scott would smirk, mock and accept victory.
FIGHTING STYLE – Technician / High Flyer / Cheat
FINISHING MOVES – * Headliner – His variation of the High Angled Frog Splash (Sometimes while turning in mid-air) | *TMZ Exclusive – His variation of the Running double knee facebreaker
SIGNATURE MOVES – Brainbuster (Sometimes done onto top turnbuckle, edge announcers table, ring apron), Hurricanrana (Sometimes a Diving variation as well as the Frankensteiner and reverse frankensteiner) , Tornado DDT, Double Underhook Powerbomb, Bridging Dragon Suplex, Gory Special (As it is, reverse and adapted into the bomb if cannot hook legs)
FAVOURITE MOVES – Slingshot Somersault Senton, Plancha, Figure Four Leglock, Monkey Flip, Moonsault (Most variations utilised), Drop Kick, Multiple suplex variations (Belly to back, Exploder, German, Super, Tiger, Triple rolling verticals and vertical are predominantly used), one-handed bulldog, Multiple kick variations (Spinning heel, baseball, Springboard drop to an opponent on the ring apron, Standing, leg-feed or a running enzuigiri are predominantly used), Sleeper Slam, Phoenix Splash, Suicide Dive, pop-up or slingshot cutter, jumping leg lariat.
