SAM HEWITT From th--
CHAD GOMEZ Stop right there, Sambo. We're in Huntsville, Ontario. This is a place that has BUILDING INSPECTIONS listed under leisure activities on their website. Need I say more?
Hewitt hides a chuckle.
SAM HEWITT We're in Huntsville, Ontario for the Captain's Fall Challenge! Four teams of three, each with an assigned captain will compete here this evening with the winners and remaining members - as they are elimination matches - battling it out next week on this program. Plus, we've got a main event featuring a newcomer and a man making his return here in Lion's Road. Scott Matthews, the newcomer, no stranger to this particular area takes on the Bullet King, Alex Kincaid, looking to redeem himself here in the Great Lakes.
CHAD GOMEZ Yes, a good bout, I reckon. Both are talented fighters, I'm looking forward to what they do in the main event spotlight.
SAM HEWITT Plus, the aforementioned Captain's Fall Challenge bouts! In the first one, the Mat Crusaders - Matt Pulver & AJ Knight team with their captain, Ben Chrenshaw to battle the Golden Trio! World Tag Team Champions Eli Buchanan & Carl Whitaker with their captain, the Heritage Heavyweight Champion James Edwards. In the other bout, another golden trio... King of Lions amd captain Julian Cutlass, Shining Road's GPWS Heavyweight Champion Alexander Irvine and MAX Japan's Heavyweight Champion Mike Musket take on the Midnight Horsemen of Alan Envy, Dexter Severin and their captain, Hammerstein.
CHAD GOMEZ And the rules for these matches are a bit different. It's an elimination bout, you can either eliminate an entire team or you can try and focus your energy on the captain because if you can beat him - the match ends without the need to eliminate the others. Elimination can occur by pinfall, submission, knockout, count out, disqualification or by throwing your opponent over the top rope.
SAM HEWITT Much like a battle royal. The only time in Lion's Road that such an act won't get you disqualified. We're gonna take a quick break and get right to it.
YOU'VE STAYED THIS LONG! WHY GO AWAY NOW? THE MAT CRUSADERS vs. THE GOLDEN TRIO IS NEXT!

We come back from break with the first Captain's Fall Challenge bout having already begun. Ben Chrenshaw has Eli Buchanan in an arm wringer, cranking on the hold. He backs up and tags in Matt Pulver, who comes in and boots Buchanan in the arm as Chrenshaw releases the hold. Pulver grabs the arm and tries to take over where his former rival left off, but Buchanan clobbers him with a forearm! Pulver is staggered, Buchanan drills him with a second and as a result, knocks him back into the corner. Buchanan drives a few knees into the gut and launches Pulver across the ring and goes to charge in, Pulver gets a foot up and catches Eli coming in. Buchanan staggers away, Pulver grabs him from behind... SCHOOL BOY CRADLE! 1... ... 2-NO! Buchanan kicks out and gets up, Pulver is right there to greet him though and does so with a forearm smash of his own! He knocks Buchanan back against the ropes, then shoots him into the opposite set. The former Tiger Mask Red receives a dropkick on the rebound and tumbles to the mat. Buchanan rolls out to the floor, bringing Edwards into the frame. SAM HEWITT Here comes the captain of the Golden Trio squad, for the first time in this bout. He's vowed to try and be a better tag team partner, having been thrust into this situation. Trying to make the best of it, I suppose.CHAD GOMEZ James Edwards does not play well with others. You know, I know it, he knows it, they know it. Who's he fooling?Hewitt offers no answer and the only thing Edwards offers is a sudden spin kick to the midsection of Pulver, knocking him to his knees. Edwards grabs him in a side headlock and pulls him up, then throws him over and down to the mat. Pulver brings his legs up, wrapping them around Edwards' head and pulls himself free of the side headlock. The two men scurry to their feet and begin exchanging blows! Pulver clamps on a side headlock, but Edwards pushes him back into the ropes and shoves him off. Pulver comes back with a forearm, Edwards gets staggered by it and falls to a knee but stands back up and welcomes a second. Pulver charges into the ropes, rebounds out and hoofs him with a Yakuza kick! Edwards winces and doubles over, Pulver tries to grab him but is shoved away and then belted with a back fist! With Matt Wrestling stunned, Edwards goes for a second but it gets ducked! Pulver leaps onto Edwards' back and applies a rear naked choke, but Edwards slaps Carl Whitaker's hand as he falls to his knees. Pulver releases the hold and backs off. CHAD GOMEZ Now here's a dude you don't want to get smacked by! Ol' Stonehands!Pulver and Whitaker lock horns and the Bull gets the better of it, grabbing Pulver up and slamming him down to the mat with authority! Whitaker follows it up with a fist drop, then grabs Pulver in a rear chin lock and twists away! Pulver grunts as the fans begin to get behind him, AJ Knight leading the rally by smacking his hand against the top turnbuckle. Whitaker puts his thumb on Pulver's nose, closing his nostril - making the hold even more effective. Knight observes this and begins to get in, but Whitaker chuckles and backs off - tagging in Eli Buchanan. The former Tiger Mask Red comes back into the match as Pulver tags in AJ. The two enemies circle around and finally lock-up. AJ is backed against the ropes and although Referee Powell requests a clean break, Buchanan does things on his own terms and taps his hand against AJ's cheek before backing away. Not taking too kindly to it, AJ grabs Eli's arm and tries for an arm wringer but it gets reversed into one by Buchanan. AJ reverses it right back and wrenches it in, Buchanan goes to roll forward but AJ rolls with him! The two come back to a vertical base, AJ transitions into a hammerlock but Buchanan doesn't try to escape it through conventional means - he simply bulls AJ back into the corner in enemy territory! SAM HEWITT That's what they call no man's land! The last place you want to be in a tag team bout - the enemy's corner.Buchanan doesn't make the tag though, he grabs AJ and changes the direction of his Irish whip to send him into the ropes. On the rebound, Eli wallops him with a European uppercut! AJ goes down and Buchanan makes a quick lateral press! 1... ... 2-NO! Buchanan pulls him up and heads him back to his corner, this time making the tag to Carl Whitaker. Whitaker steps in and the two put the boots to AJ for a large portion of the ten second grace period. Buchanan exits and Whitaker pulls AJ from the corner and takes him down with a side headlock applied. After nearly a minute on the mat, AJ fights to his feet and drives his forearm into Whitaker's stomach to back him up into the ropes. He shoots Ol' Stonehands out and goes for a forearm smash, but winds up ducking out of the way as Whitaker comes back looking to unload that huge right hand in his face. The two men nod, then circle around... Whitaker and Knight lock-up, but the Bull pushes the Crusader into the corner and Edwards tags himself in. CHAD GOMEZ I might have to take back what I said, Edwards seems to be grasping this tag team thing. I'm very surprised.Buchanan shouts some instructions and Edwards says, "Yeah, okay" before he and Whitaker begin alternating chops on AJ's chest! Whitaker exits the ring before the ten count and Edwards finishes the sequence with a forearm causing AJ to stagger out. Edwards hits the ropes, then leaps up... LEG LARIAT! He goes for the cover! 1... ... 2... NO! Edwards sits AJ up and climbs back to a vertical base, he unleashes a kick to AJ's chest causing him to fall back to the mat. Knight tries to crawl to his corner, but Edwards pulls him up in a rear waist hold and slings him back against the ropes. AJ falls against them and Edwards delivers a few more kicks! Edwards starts slowing down and that's when AJ cracks him with a forearm! Edwards falls against the adjacent ropes and faced with the chance to tag or attack, AJ surprisingly goes back on the attack. He pounds Edwards with a second and third forearm smash and backs up, readying himself to unleash a flying forearm... EXCEPT EDWARDS NAILS HIM WITH A YAKUZA KICK! Having stunned him, Edwards grabs him and whips him into the ropes. AJ rebounds and Edwards snaps off a slick and quick powerslam! AJ rolls out of the ring, making an automatic tag but Whitaker and Buchanan drop off the apron. Buchanan grabs AJ and Whitaker backs up, Eli whips AJ toward him... and Whitaker roars in with a Texas sized European uppercut to AJ Knight on the floor! Back in the ring, Chrenshaw and Edwards are exchanging forearms and the crowd is loving every minute of it! Chrenshaw is fresher and gets the better of the exchange, Edwards is hit hard and turns away - Chrenshaw drives a knee into his back and knocks him to the mat and quickly applies a Camel Clutch! Chrenshaw puts his fingers in the side of Edwards' mouth and pulls! Edwards yelps in pain, then gets shoved forward as Chrenshaw dismounts him. The Crippler tags in Pulver, who comes in and grabs the rising Heritage Champion by the back of the head and leads him over to the corner where he slams his head against the top buckle. Pulver then begins to light him up with forearm smashes, until Edwards falls into a seated position. Pulver casually walks across the ring into the opposite corner... then sprints in... SAM HEWITT Front dropkick to the face! No room for the head to go either, just boots and turnbuckles.
Pulver pulls him out of the corner and covers! 1... ... 2... ... Edwards grabs the bottom rope. Pulver gets up, stomps on him and then yanks him to his feet. He does a quick go behind and unleashes a brutal looking snap Regal Plex, which he holds for a pin! 1... ... 2... ... 3-NO! Pulver gets up and backs up into his corner, AJ Knight has just hopped onto the apron and tags himself into the bout. He plops through the ropes and grabs the downed Edwards, yanking him to his feet and calls for the Knightfall DDT. The crowd wants him to hit it! Suddenly, AJ throws Edwards down and climbs on the ropes, yelling at someone. The camera shows Hammerstein making his way to a seat in the front row with a drink and popcorn in hand! This of course draws AJ's attention. Edwards rolls out of the ring, Carl Whitaker comes in and waits... AJ comes off the ropes, turns around... BIG RIGHT HOOK!Whitaker walks off, letting Powell do his count. Buchanan cackles with laughter on the apron as the ten count is academic. The camera pans to Hammerstein shrugging his shoulders and telling the fans beside him he has to go get ready for his match. CHAD GOMEZ Serves the kid right, thinking he can just waltz into the ring and try to take credit for the number that Chrenshaw and Pulver did on Edwards while he was on the floor.SAM HEWITT The Mat Crusaders are now shorthanded against the Golden Trio. It'd be bad enough to be a makeshift team against the World Tag Team Champions, but you've got the Heritage Heavyweight Champion James Edwards on that team also. CHAD GOMEZ It's not just any makeshift team, Sambo. That's Chrenshaw and Pulver - I don't even think they fully trust each other!Whitaker tags in Buchanan as Pulver and Chrenshaw discuss a bit of strategy. Pulver steps through the ropes as Edwards gets back on the apron, asking Whitaker what happened. Pulver is immediately whipped into the enemy corner and decides to do what's probably best at this point. He turns and blasts both Edwards and Whitaker with forearm smashes before Buchanan decks him with a dropkick from behind! Buchanan grabs Pulver in a rear waist hold and drags him into the centre of the ring, he goes for a German suplex... but Pulver lands on his feet behind Buchanan! He grabs a rear waist hold of his own, rushes him into the ropes... rolls back... O CONNOR ROLL! 1... ... 2... ... 3! SAM HEWITT And just like that! Matt Pulver has evened the odds!Whitaker storms across the apron and ascends the ropes in the corner, he leaps off with a diving lariat on Pulver... then gets up and goes to blast Chrenshaw, but the Crippler ducks the attack and grabs Whitaker - trying to force him over the top rope and cause the elimination that way! Edwards rushes to his partner's aid, grabbing him from Chrenshaw's grasp. Edwards then thrust kicks Chrenshaw off the apron and to the floor. The duo then turn their attention to Pulver, Whitaker grabs him and whips him toward Edwards... who drills him with a spin kick to the head! Whitaker goes for a cover! 1... ... 2... ... DIVING SAVE BY CHRENSHAW! Edwards grabs Chrenshaw and chucks him over the top, but he lands on the apron safely. He shouts some instructions to Whitaker, who nods. Edwards pulls Pulver to his feet and restrains his arms... Whitaker smiles as he sizes him up... BIG
RIGHT
HOOK
...TO EDWARDS!
PULVER DUCKED!
EDWARDS STAGGERS!
CHRENSHAW PULLS DOWN THE TOP ROPE!
EDWARDS FALLS OUT TO THE FLOOR!SAM HEWITT The captain falls! Literally! The bell sounds, Whitaker has his head in his hands, complete disbelief across his face. Pulver is on the mat, probably unaware of what's transpired but the smirk on Chrenshaw's face says everything you need to know. CHAD GOMEZ I need a replay! What the hell happened?!Ask and you shall receive, Chad. The replay shows Edwards tossing Chrenshaw over the top rope, but he lands safely on the apron. Edwards then shouts instructions to Whitaker as he pulls Pulver to his feet and restrains him, Whitaker readies his big right hand... and Pulver ducks, causing him to clock Edwards! The impact sends Edwards backwards, Chrenshaw pulls the top rope down and Edwards, the captain, is eliminated by his own partner. Back in real time, Eli Buchanan climbs into the ring and asks what happened, Whitaker tries to explain it as best as he can and Buchanan is sympathetic to it. CHAD GOMEZ The one time Edwards gets on the same page as someone and it bites him in the ass! I want to laugh, but I kinda feel sorry for him!Chrenshaw pulls Pulver out of the ring and holds him up, raising his arm before carrying him to the back. Edwards remains out cold on the floor, Buchanan tells Whitaker they need to leave.

We return from break, Hammerstein, Alan Envy and Dexter Severin are climbing up into the ring. AJ Knight storms out of the back, grabs Hammerstein and yanks him down. Security quickly mauls AJ while Envy and Severin grab Hammerstein and pull him away. Mandeville Nelson can be seen in the background, storming up to the ring. He snatches the microphone from Jake Aarons. MANDEVILLE NELSON I am sick of tired of this! Every week! I am trying to run a show and I have to have people babysit both of you! Last week, a line was crossed. It was MY pleading with the Board not to have you guys suspended for the rest of the season! MINE! I wanted this tournam--AJ lunges toward Mandeville Nelson. AJ KNIGHT I WANT HAMMERSTEIN!Hammer laughs as the security tightens their grip on AJ. He motions for Nelson. HAMMERSTEIN Anytime, anywhere, any place, AJ. I'll end you, you won't have anyone to blame but yourself, you self-righteous son of a bitch!Nelson sighs and shakes his head, traversing the security to stick a microphone in AJ's face. AJ KNIGHT That's rich coming from you! Claiming you attacked me because of Eli's kids, but if you gave a shit about kids - what about Davey? You're jealous... you're a failure. You weren't a hero and you're a half-assed villain. You can't cut it, that's why you took the low road... and that eats you alive. Admit it, you're a fucking coward, you hypocrite. You'r--MANDEVILLE NELSON ENOUGH!Nelson looks down. MANDEVILLE NELSON TWO WEEKS, you and you.The crowd pops huge as Nelson begins pointing at AJ and Hammerstein. MANDEVILLE NELSON You get your match, whatever. Get out of my sight. I see either of you two in the same room as each other before, I'm canning both your asses! I've had enough of it. Security, get him out of here. YOU! Get in the ring. Security hauls AJ to the back as Nelson heads back to his desk, the Horsemen climb inside the ring.
THE CAPTAIN'S FALL CHALLENGE CONTINUES AFTER THESE MESSAGES!

Order has been restored at ringside as we come back. Black Lion's Road and Mike Musket have entered during the break. Referee Xavier Price gets every one checked over and the teams sort themselves out. Alan Envy volunteers to start and upon seeing that, Alexander Irvine tells Julian Cutlass and Mike Musket to head to the apron because he's got unfinished business. The bell sounds and the two former Heritage Champions storm into a lock-up, Envy secures a side headlock and quickly takes Irvine over and down to the mat. Irvine attempts to roll Envy over, but Envy clamps on the hold even tighter and rolls back and up to his knees with the hold still intact. Irvine drives a fist into Envy's ribs, causing him some discomfort but doesn't escape the hold - Envy reaches out and Hammerstein angrily slaps it and storms in. Irvine shoves Envy away and smiles as he sees who's in the ring with him. The two trade some inaudible barbs as they circle around. SAM HEWITT Now here's two men who have no love lost between them. CHAD GOMEZ And you know what's interesting about that, Sambo? These two men, despite both having been here in the early days of Lion's Road, have only crossed paths twice. Cutlass and Irvine beat Hammerstein and Edwards in a tag title defense almost a year ago and of course, War Games in Toronto saw these guys on opposite sides. So, this animosity has been almost all verbal. Mostly Irvine shooting his mouth off.Whatever Irvine says to Hammerstein gets an oooh from the people who heard it, Hammer replies that he liked Irvine best when he was shilling FUNDOSHI. The two lock-u-, still arguing as Irvine backs him into the corner. Price asks for a clean break, Irvine does so without issue... but slaps his hand on Hammer's chest and yells, "Fundoshi, bitch!" before backing up. Hammer storms out, grabs Irvine and the two tussle for the upper hand. Hammer grabs him and bowls him over to the mat with a side headlock, continuing what Envy started. Irvine turns and fights up to his feet, despite Hammer's best efforts to keep him grounded. Irvine charges him back into the ropes, Hammer releases and shoves Irvine down to the mat. The Wolf gets up and Hammer pounces him! Hammer casually walks off and makes a tag to Dexter Severin, who comes into the match and begins pummelling on Irvine as he's trying to return to his feet. Mike Musket reaches out for a tag, and Irvine is able to shove Severin back enough to make it. SAM HEWITT Here comes Maximum Japan's Heavyweight Champion, Mike Musket! CHAD GOMEZ A few slices short of a loaf of bread, he'll fit right in with the BLR camp.Severin jumps on Musket climbing through the ropes and attacks him with forearms, knocking him to his knees as he falls through the ropes. Severin applies a front chancery and tightens his grip, driving a few knees into him as he struggles to break free. Musket catches a knee, backs Severin up into the ropes and holds a moment, breaking at three. Severin swats him upside the head as he backs up, then runs and drives his knee into the side of Musket as he's doubled over. Musket falls to the mat and rolls out, bringing in the King of Lions himself to a huge pop. Dexter smiles and beckons the king on, showing no fear. Cutlass smirks as he slowly steps through the ropes, clearly expecting the same treatment that Musket got. Severin stands his ground and waits for Cutlass. The Champion takes his fighting stance and Severin mocks it, Cutlass fakes a jab and goes for the arm - looking to go behind with a hammerlock. Severin twists and turns, then flips Cutlass to the mat with an arm drag to a gasp from the crowd. The Horsemen cheer him on from the corner, but the celebration proves to be a bit early as Cutlass swings his hips and gets back side control on Severin, trying to advance to back mount. Severin spins out and back up to his feet. SAM HEWITT Given Cutlass' proficiency with chokes, that's probably a wise choice by the man known as Tragick.CHAD GOMEZ Shoot, give the dude credit though - he took Cutlass down to the ground. It's a weird matchup, Severin is tough no doubt about it but in a sloppy kind of way. That can pose some problems for guys like Cutlass and Irvine. I mean, sure, they can easily pick holes in Severin's unpolished game but his unorthodox approach can catch them by surprise. Cutlass and Severin lock-up, Cutlass steers Severin back toward the ropes but last second, Severin turns his direction into his corner and readjusts his grip on Cutlass so he can't pull away. Envy and Hammer both step away, showing Price they're not intervening. Price calls for a break, Severin shouts that he's not the one holding on. Envy tries to get into the ring, but Price turns and orders him to get back and that distraction allows Hammer to sock Cutlass with a sucker punch! He staggers away, Severin boots him in the side of the head to knock him down to his knees. Irvine reaches through the ropes, grabs Cutlass and rolls him out of the ring to the floor. Severin slaps hands with Envy, bringing him back in. Envy and Irvine hurl shit talk at each other as they march into a lock-up, Irvine grabs a clinch and goes for a knee right away but Envy blocks it and pushes it away. He grabs Irvine from behind and takes him down to the mat with a rear waist hold, Irvine scrambles, grabbing Envy's leg as he gets onto all fours. Envy tries to back up and bash Irvine as he's doing so, but Irvine keeps the leg he's holding elevated and picks the base out from underneath and jumps into the Iconic one's guard. Irvine tries to lay in some ground strikes, but Envy applies a high body triangle to restrict Irvine's movement. The Wolf leans forward, folding Envy uncomfortably as Irvine plants a hand on Envy's face and then smacks the head with his free hand. Envy's body triangle breaks open and Irvine tries to jump into side control, but only manages half guard. Envy tries to get out from underneath, but Irvine peppers him with shots to prevent him from doing so. Envy tries to secure wrist control, but Severin storms in and grabs Irvine underneath his chin and pulls him off, stomping on him a few times as Envy recovers. Envy glares, telling Severin that he was fine, but Hammerstein answers - "then why didn't you?" as Severin chuckles. Price warns Severin to stay put, telling him he's used up his only save. SAM HEWITT Important to note the saves for these matches, too. Each fighter has one to use, Severin just used his so only Hammerstein and Envy have one remaining. They don't stack either, so if someone gets eliminated before they use their save then the remaining fighters are SOL if they have none left. Envy grabs the rising Irvine and yanks him up off his knees, raising him up and slamming him back down with a beautiful spinebuster! Envy says something to Hammerstein as he tags him, then Hammer gets in and tags Severin. The two men go to the head and feet of Irvine and hold him down as Envy climbs to the top rope... then Hammer moves, as Envy leaps off with the Hail to the King elbow drop! Severin and Hammer both roll out before the ten count is up, making Envy the legal man once more. Envy makes a quick cover. 1... ... 2-KICK OUT! A visibly annoyed Envy grabs Irvine and forces him to his feet, clamping on a front chancery... he tries for a suplex but Irvine blocks it, then struggles free. He grabs Envy's arm and snares him down to the mat with a Fujiwara armbar! Envy quickly grabs the ropes to relieve himself of the world of hurt he's in, and saves him and his team from being a man short. Irvine lets go and Envy rolls out to the floor, Hammerstein comes in and Irvine swings, Hammer ducks and clutches onto Irvine's waist and drives him backwards into the corner. Hammer goes to break, then slaps Irvine across the face! The fans gasp as Irvine doubles over, Hammer yells "C'mon, bitch!" and Irvine leaps forward with a flying knee that Hammer is luckily able to mostly avoid. He grapples Irvine from behind, but Irvine does a standing switch and swats Hammer in the shoulder before grabbing a hold of his arm and trying the Fujiwara armbar on him. Hammerstein, too, wisely grabs the rope as soon as he can. Irvine releases and stomps on Hammer as the American Monster slithers out of the ring, Dexter Severin runs in and attacks Irvine from behind. Irvine turns and shoots for a single leg, Severin is caught off balance and falls to the mat. Irvine sets his left knee on Severin's inner thigh, then quickly acts on it - going for a kneebar! Envy runs in and boots Irvine in the skull, using up his save. Envy shakes his head at Severin as he exits the ring, Hammer doesn't seem to have much of a reaction one way or another - apart from looking like a miserable bastard. SAM HEWITT The BLR and Musket trio have all their saves remaining, while Hammerstein is the only one on his side with one. Could pose a problem. CHAD GOMEZ Nah, I don't think so. The Horsemen know how to cheat their way around a rule book. They'll figure something out.Severin gets up and slaps Envy's hand, despite it not being extended. "You think you can do better? Go ahead!" Hammer remains distant as Envy laughs in Severin's face and climbs in, Irvine slaps hands with Musket to bring him in. Envy watches in disgust as Musket "arooos" for the crowd, and gets a number of them to echo his catchphrase thing. Envy charges in, goes for a punch but gets ducked, Musket blasts him with a chop! A second! A third! Envy falls back into the ropes but Cutlass pushes him back toward Musket, who hoists Envy up and goes for a backbreaker but Envy decks him with a shot as he's being lifted causing Musket to lose his balance. Envy staggers back to his feet as Musket recovers on the ropes, the Iconic kicks Musket in the chest causing him to stand upright and stumble toward the adjacent set of ropes. The former Heritage Champion grabs the MAX-J Heavyweight Champion and shoots him into the ropes, Musket comes back looking for a lariat but Envy ducks it and clubs him with a rolling elbow! Musket falls to a knee, Envy hooks his arms... TIG-NO! Musket flails his legs and gets put back down! Envy lets go of the arms and tries for a swift transition into a DDT but Musket yanks his legs out from underneath him! He goes for the Wolf Trap sharpshooter, but Envy up kicks him and sends Musket toward the ropes! Musket falls against the ropes and Envy rushes to his feet, grabs the legs and tries to dump Musket over top for the easiest of the elimination methods but Musket falls onto the apron and despite Envy's stomps - manages to slide underneath the ropes and back inside. CHAD GOMEZ Close call there for Musket.Envy is told to back off by Xavier Price and begrudgingly does so, Musket gets up to his feet and Envy grabs him, pulls him away from the ropes and with a well placed knee, stuns him so that he drops to his knees. Envy mouths off to Irvine, Severin yells at him to focus on the task at hand and the two trade some more barbs. Musket is pulled to his feet and Envy hoists him up with a suplex... but instead of dropping him backwards, heads toward the ropes and drops him across the top rope! Musket lands precariously on the apron, Envy goes to grab him in an attempt to knock him off but Musket unleashes a mighty chop to the chest! Envy is stunned, but recovers and swings... Musket ducks, LARIAT! Envy falls to the mat and rolls onto his side, trying to figure out what the day of the week it is as Musket plops through the ropes. Envy gets up to his knees, getting sight of his partners... crawling, crawling... crawling... HE'S CLOSE! BUT MUSKET GRABS HIM! REAR WAIST HOLD! BACKDROP DRIVER! HE HOLDS IT! 1... ... 2! Everyone's looking at Hammerstein! ... 3! Hammerstein is expressionless as Musket releases Envy from his bridging waist hold, Severin chuckles and climbs inside the ring ready to battle the odds. Envy rolls out, gets collected by some stage hands and is helped to the back. SAM HEWITT And then there was two! Musket gets up and backs into his corner as Price counts down the remaining seconds in the rest period. The bell sounds to start the match anew, 3 on 2. Severin and Musket lock-up and that's about as technical as it gets as Severin bashes him with a punch. Musket goes down to a knee but responds with a shot of his own that knocks Severin back, allowing him to get back up and offer a second retort in the form of a chop! A second chop comes, too. Severin charges forth after being knocked back, Musket drills him with an elbow to the head and he falls against the ropes. Hammerstein reaches in and tags himself into the match, Musket gets giddy at this. The MAX-J Heavyweight Champion and the American Monster trade shots, Hammerstein then rakes the eyes and gets himself a yellow card for it. He throws Musket into Cutlass, then points to Irvine - saying he wants him. Irvine smacks Musket in the back and hurriedly enters the bout, assuming his stance and gets mocked by Hammer for doing so. Irvine launches a jab that busts Hammer's lip, drawing his ire. Hammer darts forward, then halts. Irvine goes for a knockout hook, but Hammerstein ducks and grabs him... then rams him into the corner! Irvine grunts as his body is compressed between Hammer's 245lbs frame and the turnbuckles. Hammerstein clubs him with some forearm smashes, then hoists him up again... delivering a spinebuster into the centre of the ring. Hammer tags Dexter and tells him to squash him, Severin tells Hammer to move him closer. CHAD GOMEZ Oh good grief.Hammerstein sighs and shakes his head, grabbing Irvine and pulling him closer to the corner. Severin goes up and leaps off with Da Squarsh, a flying... well, a falling elbow drop. There's nothing pretty about it. He makes the cover! 1... ... 2... ... FOOT ON THE ROPE! Hammerstein tries to kick the foot off the rope before referee Xavier Price sees it, but doesn't get it in time. He admonishes Hammer for the cheap tactic and threatens to issue him a second yellow card, Hammer trots back to his corner as Severin pulls Irvine up to his feet. He throws him back in the corner and backs up, charging in looking for a lariat! Irvine catches him coming in with an elbow smash! The Wolf grabs Tragick Dexter Severin and throws him over the top rope! Severin holds on for dear life, but Irvine clubs away at him! Severin fires back with shots, rattling Irvine as he does but a knee from Irvine catches Severin in the stomach, knocking him to the ground! JUST AS HAMMER DUMPS IRVINE OVER THE TOP ROPE NEXT TO HIM! Irvine gets up on the floor and looks at the laughing Hammerstein, his anger turns into a look that can be best described as "revenge will be sweet" but Hammerstein backs up into a certain King of Lions. The American Monster turns around and Julian Cutlass stands toe to toe with him. SAM HEWITT The last time these two men were on opposite sides, Cutlass choked Hammerstein out. CHAD GOMEZ The Laurentide Cup - I remember it well.A helluva battle from Hammerstein in that bout, but he's a different, more dangerous man now. He asks Cutlass what he's going to do, then headbutts him before he can answer! Hammer brings a violence party to the champion, hitting him with forearms to the back to knock him to his knees. Hammer stomps on Cutlass' hand, then hits the ropes and comes down on top of Cutlass - while he's on all fours - with a senton! The crowd gasps as Cutlass collapses to the mat, Hammer turns back and makes a cover! 1... ... 2... ... MUSKET SAVES THE DAY! Cutlass is clearly hurtin' from the attack and Hammerstein gets up, seeing Musket has returned to the apron. He stalks Cutlass as the King of Lions is crawling toward the ropes, then drives his knee down on Cutlass' back and pulls back on his chin - a variation of a Camel Clutch! Hammer brings the forearms across the face of Cutlass, shouting all kinds of things at him as he does. Hammer lets go of the hold and grabs Cutlass, chucking him sternum first into the corner and clamps on a sleeper! Cutlass tries to grab a hold of the ropes but the American Monster pulls him back! Musket is jonesing to make a save, but can't without being disqualified. Hammerstein turns Cutlass toward Musket and tells him to come save him, the Huntsville crowd comes alive with chants of CUTLASS! CUTLASS! CUTLASS! The King of Lions' eyes fire up as he drives Hammerstein back into the corner and breaks free! Cutlass falls forward, onto all fours. HAMMERSTEIN LEAPS ONTO HIS BACK!
REAPPLIES THE CHOKE!
BODY TRIANGLE!
CUTLASS ROLLS TO HIS SIDE, HAMMER KEEPS THE HOLD INTACT!
CUTLASS STRUGGLES!
STRUGGLES!
HAMMER ROLLS ONTO HIS BACK!
TIGHTENS THE HOLD!
CUTLASS BRIDGES UP!1... ... 2... ... 3! Musket lets out an "AROOO" on the apron in celebration of the victory, but Hammerstein isn't letting go of the hold despite being pinned! Musket runs in and boots Hammerstein in the head, breaking up the choke. Cutlass falls to the mat, gasping for air as Hammerstein slinks out of the ring... smiling evilly and not seeming to care one bit about having lost the bout. SAM HEWITT Sometimes you don't have to win to make a statement, but... I think Hammerstein just signed one in blood. CHAD GOMEZ He had the champion dead to rights, I don't care what you're feelings are about him. Cutlass bridged up, maybe not even intentionally, and pinned Hammer's shoulders to the mat but give him five seconds more and he's unconscious. Hammerstein almost choked out Cutlass. Think of that sentence. I can't believe I'm saying it.The fans gasp as Hammer charges toward the ring again, Musket stands up and readies himself for a fight but Hammer stops and turns away, chuckling as he heads to the back.

SAM HEWITT It's main event time here on Wrestling from the Lion's Road! A great spotlight for these two fighters as the thirty five year old Alex Kincaid battles the twenty three year old Scott Matthews. Kincaid's been at this since 1999, nearly twenty years while Matthews has six years under his belt having started in 2011. A bit of a homecoming of sorts for Matthews, having competed in the Central Ontario region with Simcoe County Championship Wrestling. Here in Huntsville, we're just over an hour from their stomping old grounds in Barrie - where we'll be in two weeks time.
CHAD GOMEZ And the kid wants to make a good impression. Can you blame him?
SAM HEWITT At the same time, Alex Kincaid is looking for redemption. He was here for a cup of coffee in the Iron Road, but seemed a little off to me and to many others also. He seems to have gotten himself back on right track, so let's how things go.
JAKE AARONS Introducing first! Fighting out of Hollywood, California! He weighs in at two hundred and twenty seven pounds... SCOTT MATTHEWS!
Mr. Hollywood removes his tie, shirt and jacket and hangs them over the ring post. A stage hand comes and retrieves it.
JAKE AARONS His opponent! Fighting out of Bearing, Alberta! He weighs in at two hundred and thirty pounds... ALEX KINCAID!
Kincaid stretches out, awaiting the bell.
JAKE AARONS Your referee for this bout is Cordell Garner!
Referee Cordell Garner calls for the bell and the two men engage in a collar and elbow tie-up. The two are evenly matched in weight, but Kincaid holds a two inch height advantage on Matthews. After a good struggle, Kincaid backs Matthews up into the corner and breaks clean when called upon to do so. Matthews takes a circle around Kincaid, who keeps his eyes on his opponent the entire time. Matthews goes in for a lock-up and again, both men struggle to gain an advantage until Kincaid in one swift motion brings Matthews down to the mat with a fireman's carry! Matthews scurries to his feet in a hurry but stops short, seeing Kincaid readying himself for a dropkick. Kincaid smiles and backs up as Matthews gets his wits about him after that exchange. Matthews acknowledges the crowd is a bit split on these two fighters, with chants for each. Kincaid smiles at his chants and encourages the fans to get louder, Matthews tries to catch him off guard with a lock-up but Kincaid applies a hasty side headlock in defense of it. Matthews backs him into the ropes, shoots him off but the Bullet King returns with a clothesline that sends the English born Matthews down to the mat in a hurry.
SAM HEWITT A good feeling out process to start things off here, Scott Matthews seems very aware of how Alex Kincaid likes to compete. However, being aware of it and trying to combat it are two very different things. So far Matthews has been on the mat twice while Kincaid remains on his feet.
CHAD GOMEZ Like you said, it's a feeling out process. Kincaid can easily get himself into the mindset that this will be an easy task and underestimate Matthews, which would obviously be a mistake. Sure, there's twelve years experience difference between the two but you can't discredit anyone when you're in that ring. That's a great way to take an L.
Matthews gets up and the two lock-up once more, a quick arm twist and wringer from Kincaid on Matthews doubles him over. Kincaid cranks on the pressure, but Matthews raises his knee and drives it into the midsection of Kincaid to get himself free. With the Bullet King doubled over, Matthews grabs the back of his head and drives him face first into the mat with a one handed bulldog! Kincaid pops back up, holding his face and this allows Mr. Hollywood to slap on a side headlock. He spends nearly a minute cranking it in before Kincaid shoves him into the ropes and throws him out. Matthews rebounds, Kincaid leap frogs him and turns around... Matthews tries for a spinning heel kick, but Kincaid ducks it! Matthews crashes to the mat, but pops right back up only to find himself on the receiving end of a dropkick! Matthews falls on his ass and scoots back into the corner, Kincaid draws an imaginary line in the centre of the ring and welcomes Matthews to step over it. Matthews smirks before doubling over again, taking another moment to recover from the dropkick.
CHAD GOMEZ And this here is a shining example of why experience isn't the end all, be all. You'd think in Kincaid's eighteen years in this sport, he'd go in there and grabs Matthews and drag him back into the centre of the ring, but no - Matthews is milking as much time as he can and cooling Kincaid's momentum down. Smart move by the kid.
Matthews finally gets moving, walking out from the corner and circling around before once more, engaging in a collar and elbow tie-up. This time, Matthews stalling seems to pay off as he grabs the upper hand and turns in a top wrist lock. Matthews gets a bit cocky about it and Kincaid is able to transition nicely into a hammerlock, but despite the previous cockiness - Matthews keeps his cool and casually reverses it into a hammerlock of his own. He then extends the arm fully and wrings it out, Kincaid tries to counter it but Matthews applies some extra pressure each time he tries to do so. Kincaid opts instead to roll forward, then pops up and reverses it into an arm wringer of his own!
A SLAP FROM MATTHEWS!
SAM HEWITT Nothing technical about that!
With Kincaid stunned by the sudden shot, SM backs AK47 into the corner and despite Garner's request to break clean, Matthews slaps him again! Kincaid doubles over the top rope and Mr. Hollywood reaches through, applying a rope assisted cravate! Garner starts his five count and Matthews breaks at three, then grabs Kincaid and whips him across the ring into the opposing corner. Kincaid hits hard, staggers out... Matthews leaps up!
HURACANRA-NO!
SIT DOWN POWERBOMB!

3-NO!
SAM HEWITT Wow! Alex Kincaid reverses the huracanrana attempt into a vicious sit down powerbomb, Scott Matthews' head bouncing like a basketball upon impact but still able to kick out!
CHAD GOMEZ I've had plenty of fighters tell me that's just instinct, basically. You can be on dream street and the sound of the referee's hand slapping the mat beside you once, twice - it wakes you back up, snaps you back into reality. Looks to be what happened there, luckily for Scott Matthews.
Matthews is pulled up to his feet by Kincaid, who grabs his opponent's foot and hoists him up - looking for a shin breaker. Mr. Hollywood strikes the face, Kincaid grunts and drops him and Matthews quickly turns and grabs the Bullet King in a clinch and monkey flips him up and over! Kincaid lands hard, but starts back to his feet only to get booted in the gut, then launched back across the ring again with an exploder suplex! The fans watch in excitement as Matthews exits to the apron, Garner begins his ten count but Matthews has grabbed the ropes and launches himself inside with a somersault senton at two!
IT CONNECTS!
Matthews rolls over and makes a quick cover!

3-NO! FOOT ON THE ROPE!
Matthews thinks he's won, but he too sees Kincaid's foot on the rope and angrily yanks it back. He goes for a second cover!

2-KICK OUT!
Matthews grabs Kincaid and pulls the Alberta native to his feet. He knees him in the gut and throws an arm over, hooking him up... BRAINBUSTER in the centre of the ring! Matthews calls for the Headliner and quickly ascends the ropes. He looks out at the fans, then leaps off...
NOTHING BUT KNEES!
Kincaid gets his knees up and Matthews roars in pain as he rolls away. The Bullet King staggers to his feet and hastily exits through the ropes, climbs the ropes and leaps off and up... FROM ON HIGH! Kincaid pumps his arms and legs like a Frog Splash, but nails a beautiful crossbody! Hooks the leg!

SAM HEWITT The road to redemption just got paved! Alex Kincaid scores the win!
Kincaid rolls out of the ring, hugging his wife and sharing a kiss before Garner raises the Alberta native's arm in victory. The two walk around ringside and slap hands with fans, while Scott Matthews recovers in the ring.
CHAD GOMEZ I'll give it up to Scott Matthews, I like the kid's style. He wasn't victorious tonight, but he showed a lot of moxy and that's what you need here.
The crowd is appreciative too, applauding him as he gets to his feet. He seems taken aback, but then does an about face and flips off the crowd before asking the stage hand what he did with his clothes.
SAM HEWITT For Chad Gomez, I'm Sam Hewitt! Thank you for joining us! We'll see you next week!
