From the Forest City! London, Ontario! Hello fight fans, my name is Sam Hewitt! Usually I'm joined by Chad Gomez, but he was unable to make it due to some inclement weather conditions. Nevertheless... tonight Lion's Road closes out the year by bringing you one of the biggest title bouts to date! Julian Cutlass tries to make it a perfect ten as he defends the King of Lions crown against a man who's done just about everything else this year... Alexander Irvine. He's been a tag team champion twice this year, he won the Heritage Heavyweight title... he won the Iron Road while Heritage Champion. Alexander Irvine could win the King of Lions this evening and not only be the first ever fighter to complete the Triple Crown, but he'd have done it all in a single year but he has to vanquish the Blazin' King for it to happen. Let's take a look at the stat line...

SAM HEWITT
Cutlass' year in title bouts started with a tremendous time limit draw with Matt Pulver, but he would go on to win his next six. Including two by referee stoppage and another by knockout. Alexander Irvine on the other hand, had a rough time with then Heritage Champion La Cucaracha. It took three matches before he could finally overcome the Canadian Cockroach, but from there he bested Carl Whitaker, then knocked out Rob Draven before he and former tag partner Ben Chrenshaw were both counted out in their showdown. Alan Envy then wrestled the championship away in controversial fashion. He hasn't been the most active in Lion's Road since then, fighting here and there but mostly in Japan where he was the GPWS Heavyweight Champion until recently. It was there that he and Cutlass began to have some problems. Let's take a look...

GRIM has a smile on his face and puts a hand on the apron that enrages Cutlass to slip through the ringside attendants and chase GRIM around the ring! GRIM then jumps over the guardrail and races into the crowd! Julian Cutlass jumps the guardrail and stands in the crowd as he watches GRIM fade into the crowd!

TIM FLOSS
It’s crazy out there – WAIT! LOOK UP AT THE RAMP!

We see emerge from the entrance it’s none other than Tokyo Zombie with a DEMON BRIGADE flag. He saunters down the ramp and the referee tells him that he needs to leave. Irvine shouts down at him for a few moments! Zombie flicks him a bird! The crowd goes nuts! Irvine shakes his head and turns around – ZANBATOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!!!!

ALBERT MORDECAI:
He caught him by surprise!

Irvine somersaults on his face and Zenki crawls onto Irvine’s back and locks in a rear naked choke! Irvine squirms and kicks and eventually rolls Zenki onto his back, but Zenki has the hold locked on and scissors around the waist of Irvine! Zenki turns over so that the two men are on their sides and Zenki has the choke locked in tight!

TIM FLOSS:
Zenki doesn’t want to end up like Jacob Hammerstein, getting pinned while he has the submission locked in! He’s been studying Lion’s Road shoot style tactics.

Irvine’s body goes limp. The referee comes to pick up the hand.

1… The arm falls.

2… The arm falls.

TIM FLOSS:
Irvine’s in trouble! He looks out!

3…

ALBERT MORDECAI:
Is this it?!

THE ARM FALLS! THE REFEREE SIGNALS FOR THE BELL!!

TIM FLOSS:
My Gawd! My Gawd! Zenki’s done it, he’s choked out Irvine to become the new GPWS Heavyweight Champion!

Tokyo Zombie jumps into the ring with the Demon Brigade flag and begins waving it around! Cutlass has jumped back over the guardrail and slid into the ring, checking on Irvine to make sure he’s okay. Irvine is sitting up as medics shine a flashlight in his eyes. Meanwhile, MJPW GM Masaaki Sano has entered the ring and carries the GPWS title with him.

BURTON FASK:
Ladies and gentlemen, your winner… and NEW GPWS Heavyweight Champion… ZENKI!

The crowd roars as the title belt is wrapped around the waist of Zenki. GRIM has returned and has joined Zombie and Zenki as the three of them stare down and mock Cutlass and Irvine!

TIM FLOSS:
Folks, I think this was planned all along! GRIM knew he needed to get Cutlass away from the ring so that Zombie could come down and distract Irvine! Devious!

Cutlass helps Irvine – who gives him a shove and points to the Demon Brigade! The two men are having a heated discussion in the ring as Cutlass explains what happens. Irvine puts his hands on his hips and shakes his head, clearly disappointed at the outcome of the match. As Irvine leaves, Cutlass follows him, still trying to explain himself as Irvine proceeds to the back.

We pan out as Zenki stands on the second turnbuckle with his hands raised and the GPWS Heavyweight title around his waist to the roaring approval of the fans.

SAM HEWITT
And then at the Roaring Rumble...

Moss avoids the superkick this time and turns around into a spinning heel kick! Both men go down, missing Cutlass/Irvine by a foot or two. Irvine manages to push Cutlass back into the ropes, the King of Lions uses his free arm to push the top rope down and tries to guide Irvine toward it with the hooked arm. Irvine gets propped up on the top, trying whatever he can to avoid elimination. Buchanan and Whitaker are far too busy kicking the crap out of Edwards to pay attention to the scene across from them. Moss though, is on his knees and sees opportunity... and lun-AJ grabs his foot and trips him! Knight stomps Moss as he climbs over him, toward the BLR guys. Knight clubs Cutlass, freeing Irvine up and causing him to fall back inside the ring. Cutlass is in bad territory though and AJ Knight grabs his legs and dumps Cutlass out onto the apron. Cutlass is still hanging on by his left hand, Knight begins hacking at it as though his hand was a small axe, while using his knee to force Cutlass off the apron. Cutlass tries to grab the top rope with his other hand, but it's proving difficult with his back toward the ring. Irvine gets up and dropkicks Cutlass off the apron and to the floor! AJ turns and looks at Irvine... as though all hell is about to be unleashed.

Our own Becky Chande is standing by with AJ Knight...

We go backstage.

BECKY CHANDE
AJ... last week, you had a very impressive performance in the Roaring Rumble with nearly half an hour inside the ring from entering number two. You had three big eliminations which includes one over your longtime rival James Edwards. By virtue of that and your direct pin over Edwards, you've earned a shot at the Heritage Heavyweight title which you will means that you'll face the winner of the Edwards and Eli Buchanan bout at BOM BA YE II. What are your thoughts?

AJ KNIGHT
I'm wondering why the hell Eli should get a shot before I do. I mean... I beat the guy in the centre of the ring two weeks ago so I want to know why the hell I'm not getting my shot before him. After all I earned my shot the right way, in fact I earned it twice over! If I knew all you've got do to get a shot is start a derogatory hashtag and attempt to burn the champion's face I might have given that a shot! Now I've got to wait til' the New Year, or maybe even later than that because now I've got the Heritage Cup between me and my title match! I've been asking Nelson about it and all I've gotten out of him is 'some time in the New Year, AJ trust me you'll get it soon enough'. So I guess we'll see when I get that shot, been waiting for another crack at Edwards for over a year and I guess I'm just going to have to keep waiting, because he doesn't want the match. My lack of clearance wasn't the only reason I didn't fight Edwards one on one that week either. James completely blew off that challenge when he heard it. He's willing to face anyone and anything else but me. I'm starting to think Eli had the right idea with this hashtag. And damn it now I'm agreeing with Eli. As much as I want the Heritage title though, I really want this thing with Eli and I to be through, and I can tell you the feeling is mutual. But we may just be destined to do this forever.

AJ shakes his head looking fairly irritated, Becky Chande looks to continue the interview.

BECKY CHANDE
Last week you also nearly earned a shot at Julian Cutlass, but the elimination was taken by Alexander Irvine instead and so tonight, Irvine challenges for the King of Lions. Your thoughts on that?

AJ KNIGHT
Heh... well, it's not exactly 50/50. It's more like a 60/40 if I'm being nice about it. Here you've got arguably the greatest fighter of all time - a man who has spent well over a year setting the world on fire proving himself to be the ace of Lion's Road beating everyone versus some guy who wants the kids to get off his lawn. I give all the credit in the world for seizing the opportunity he was presented with. He must have known that'd be the only way he was getting the shot because dropkicking a guy off the apron is the best thing he's done since March. Cutlass? I defy you to find two matches where he didn't impress this past year. Cutlass is leaving tonight with his tenth defense and he'll go to war with Whitaker. That's a match that's worth looking forward to.

You seem... a bit more hostile... than usual?

AJ shrugs

AJ KNIGHT
I'm just kind of sick of getting the run-around every damn time I try to do something. This entire year's been one big ordeal and even as it's coming to a close that's been true. Even when I earn a title shot, things are more difficult than they need to be. At least when I was caught up with the Red Army and the Horsemen there was a reason for it, but now it's just a bit ridiculous! Something's gotta change in 2018, that's for damn sure!

AJ walks off, leaving Chande standing there.

Our scene shifts to a dimly lit locker room. Inside it stands a majestic throne in the middle of the room with an imposing masked figure sitting upon it. As the camera moves closer, we get a glimpse of just who it is...

Crimson Mask.

He points at the camera and starts speaking in a rough tone.

A man's worth is measured by the amount of goals he manages to achieve. Kevin Moss, I will show you that you are only half the man you thought you would be. I will make sure that the only path you can walk on is the Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

I will go into that ring not only with the purpose of winning this match but also with the intent of breaking you in half. Shattering your bones and destroying your spirit. You will regret being as self confident and as pompous as to wave me goodbye in the Royal Rumble. I will make sure that your presence in the Lion's Road is filled with angst and pain.

This place will not be the place in which you fulfill your dreams. This place will be your Hell.

Your own personal Hell!

The scene fades to black.

DEREK DRAVEN vs. DAVID TROY
1 Fall - 15 Minute Time Limit

JAKE AARONS

Ladies and gentlemen, this opening bout is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first fighting out of Blackwood, New Jersey! He weighs in at two hundred and two pounds... "DYNAMITE" DAVID TROY!

Troy grabs the ropes, stretching out a bit while he's able.

JAKE AARONS

His opponent from Albany, New York! He weighs in at two hundred and twenty pounds... DEREK DRAVEN!

Draven casually bobs in place, ready for the match to start.

JAKE AARONS

Your referee for this bout is Xavier Price!

Derek Draven and David Troy each circle around one another before Tory dashes in and kicks the leg, Draven dodges the second such attempt but gets hit with the third. Troy tries a fourth, but Draven catches the leg and drives Troy down to the mat! Inside his guard, Draven waits for the perfect opportunity to unleash a palm strike... but it doesn't come. Troy grabs the left arm and pulls it in, using it as leverage as he begins upkicking Draven in the face. The Albany, New York native does his best to shield his face from the blows as he adjusts, putting his right foot on Troy's face and stomps! Troy ceases the upkicks as the crowd gasps, Draven smiles and backs up. Troy rolls onto his side and Draven gives him a kick for good measure.

SAM HEWITT
No respect at all being shown by Derek Draven. I should probably point out that despite these two being newcomers to Lion's Road, they are much seasoned pros. Draven is forty one years old and has been competing for seventeen years while Troy is thirty seven and has been at it for nineteen years. This particular beef between the two stems from last week's Roaring Rumble. Take a look...

Draven chokes Knight against the ropes, taking full advantage of the fatigue level of the young Crusader. He then picks up his legs and tries to dump him out, but AJ hammers away on his skull, protecting himself from elimination. Draven backs off but comes right back... Knight back drops him onto the apron! Knight goes to grab him, but a sickening headbutt finds its mark! Draven nearly falls off the apron from the shot, AJ falls to one knee inside the ring, bleeding. Troy grabs him...

AND DUMPS HIM OUT!

JAKE AARONS
AJ Knight has been eliminated!

The fans boo, but Troy shrugs. Knight, through his bloody face, looks up... shocked.

SAM HEWITT
AJ Knight swore up and down that this was his moment.

CHAD GOMEZ
And I swore up and down that the hottest girl in school would say yes when I asked her to prom. Tough luck, kid.

SAM HEWITT
So we're down to five...

Knight gets up and trades some words with Troy, who turns around into a low blow! Draven chuckles as Troy falls to his knees in front of him, then grabs him and dumps him out.

JAKE AARONS
David Troy has been eliminated!

The picture in picture ends, Troy is back up and delivers a jab attempt. Draven is able to dodge it and tries to counter with a palm strike, but Troy slips away. Draven tries for a second palm strike, but it turns out to be a fake! He grabs Troy in a plume clinch and tries to deliver a knee, but it's defended well by "Dynamite". Troy gets some overhooks applied, battering Draven's side with his right knee as he slowly moves his arms up Draven's back to his neck... he releases his right hand, drives it into the body! Draven buckles and Troy grabs a plume clinch of his own! Knee! Knee! Knee! DRAVEN GOES DOWN! Troy hoofs him in the side just as Draven did he, forcing Xavier Price to step in and push him back as he begins his count on Draven. The New York native replies positively when Price asks him if he's good, so naturally the New Jersey native, Troy, blasts him in the side again!

SAM HEWITT
A little tit for tat. Troy showing that if Draven won't respect him, then "Dynamite" isn't going to respect Draven either!

Draven gets up in a huff and bashes Troy with a palm strike! He follows it up with a headbutt! Troy falls back into the corner, Draven grabs him and begins choking him as he pushes him back against the ropes! Price steps in and begins the five count, but Draven releases at four! Draven turns his back for a moment and that's all Troy needs! He runs out - FACE CRUSHER! Draven is driven into the mat, but the impact is so unpleasant that he goes up to all fours to try and shake out the cobwebs. Troy grabs him up, plume clinch again as he backs Draven up into the corner and delivers knees to the body, mixing it in with shots to the head.

DRAVEN GOES DOWN AGAIN!

Unfortunately for Troy, it's in the corner so he's unable to follow up on the attack. "Dynamite" tries to protest but Price tells him to back up and so he does. Draven begins to get up so Troy gets ready to grab him, Price tells him to stay put and Draven smiles as he goes back down in the corner, milking the moment for all it's worth.

SAM HEWITT
Well, if it isn't obvious by the smile that Derek Draven just cracked - he's playing possum. Not only buying himself some precious time to recover, but also raising the ire of David Troy. Using referee Xavier Price to his advantage. Price is only doing his job, folks. Fighters against the ropes or in the corner are to be afforded ample opportunity to recover so long as they are able to do so, Price is simply enforcing that.

Troy decides enough is enough and shoves Price aside, Draven tries to get up but a running corner big boot! A HELLUVA KICK sends Draven right back down! Troy grabs him, yanking him to his feet... he goes behind, rear waist hold... GERM-NO! Draven elbows his way free then blasts Troy with a palm strike, but Dynamite comes back with a punch! Draven staggers, but hits him with a second palm strike! He tries to follow it up with a headbutt, but Troy side steps... REAR WAIST HOLD!

GERMAN SUPLEX!

HE BRIDGES!

1...

...

2...

...

3-NO!

Troy rolls to his side, asking if it was three and falls back to the mat when Price says it was only two. Draven gets to a knee, stumbles to his feet then falls back down to his knees in the corner. He keeps an eye on Troy, who's beginning to stir. Draven runs at Troy, leaps up... DOUBLE ST-NO ONE HOME! Troy gets up... Draven turns around...

FLASH BAN-NO!

The spinning back kick misses, Draven rotates...

DISCUS LAR-NO!

Troy ducks the lariat!

FLASH BACKSLIDE!

1...

...

2...

...

3!

Troy rolls out of the ring, raising his arms in victory as Draven kicks out a second too late and gets to his feet, kicking the ropes in frustration. Price raises Troy's arm as Draven sneers from the ring. "Dynamite" David Troy slaps hands with a couple of fans before turning back around to look at Draven, still steaming.

SAM HEWITT
A great back and forth between two seasoned pros results in an even better exchange in the closing sequence. Troy went for the Flash Bang, his signature spinning back kick while Draven ducked that and tried for the Scythe of Sorrow - his version of a discus lariat. Troy ducked that and grabbed the arm, hooked the other and slide 'em down to the mat for the three with the backslide pin! A great win by "Dynamite" but based on Draven's reaction, I don't think this is over.

Draven exits the ring, pushing the camera man away from him as we go to break.

As we fade in, the camera reveals tonight's challenger, Alexander Irvine, decked out in his black ring attire, a red BLACK Lion's Road hoodie covering his torso and face, sending hand and foot combinations into air at an imaginary Julian Cutlass. His head bobs, body weaves, while he pictures random blows that could come from his opponent tonight. Grappling counters come out as if second nature, shadow boxing was as much a mental game as it was mental.

Wes Chubbman sits in a metal fold out chair, his feet propped up on a red bench while he watches. Forest green jump suit struggling contain his girth while his gold chain hangs from his neck. He looked like the richest, fattest elf to escape the dungeon of old Saint Nick. It was becoming harder to tell if the smell of sweat was from that of Irvine, or Chubbs.

"Your finally here my boy. To think earlier this year, I was posting your bail after your loss in the Heritage Cup."

He lets out a chuckle, it sounds almost wet, more from his second chin hitting against his neck fat than anything else.

"Lost the Tag Titles, struggled to beat a Roach, and left out of the Laurentide Cup. But then you won the Tag back, crushed her underneath your boot for the Heritage, and became this year's Iron Road winner. I like to think I had something to do with that."

Chubbs chuckles again as he leans himself back on the chair's hind legs, rocking back and forth while pushing with his propped-up legs, losing balance for a moment which causes him to make a panicked sound before regains his balance.

Irvine continues to ignore him as he goes through another training drill, his legs shooting back as he lowers himself to the ground, mimicking a takedown defense. He transitions to laying prone on the ground, chest to ground, then works through what could only be knee bomber counters. He shoots one arm forward as the other mimics a quick pick of a knee into a rolling counter, a similar maneuver for a trapped arm, then various maneuvers from a kneeling position with his forehead on the ground. Both arms held behind him as if pinned.

Chubbs stares at the ceiling.

"Both my boys, fighting for the prize. Win or lose, Wes gets to party like Jabba the Hut in a Twi'lek brothel. No matter the outcome, I get min…"

So lost in in his fantasy of partying with women the color of skittles, Wes didn't notice Irvine had quit what he was doing, moved across the room, and now gripped Wes' throat, supporting his enormous weight as he drug him over the chair and slamming him against the wall. The hood that had once covered his face was no behind him, sweat dripping from his face.

"Fuck you Wes. Nobody gives a f@#$ about you tonight. In one month I'll be f@#$ing fourty years old. My last chance to cement myself in the annuals of Lion's Road is tonight. I ended last year transforming Pulver in a steel cage, defeating me was his only option. I will not end this year without the King of Lion's around my waist, because leaving Julian knocked out in the center of the ring is my only option."

He released Chubbman's throat and pushed him to the side as he walked towards the door. The camera zoomed in on Wes' face as he rubs his throat, smirking.

KEVIN MOSS vs. CRIMSON MASK
1 Fall - 15 Minute Time Limit

JAKE AARONS
Ladies and gentlemen, this singles bout is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first from Parts Unknown! He weighs in at two hundred and sixty five pounds... CRIMSON MASK!

Crimson just chuckles before slicing his thumb across his throat.

JAKE AARONS
His opponent from Santa Barbara, California! He weighs in at two hundred and twenty five pounds... KEVIN "THE INFINITY WARRIOR" MOSS!

Moss raises an arm but goes right back to warming up.

JAKE AARONS
Your referee for this bout is Buster Powell!

Powell is checking over Kevin Moss when the Infinity Warrior spots Crimson Mask making a charge from across the ring, but he can't get Powell out of the way quick enough to adequately defend against the attack and eats a shot to the face. Crimson grabs Moss and throws him between the ropes and out to the floor which earns him maybe the quickest yellow card in Lion's Road history.

JAKE AARONS
Referee Buster Powell has issued a yellow card to Crimson Mask for throwing his opponent out of the ring - his first public warning.

Crimson follows him out, grabbing Moss up and heaving him into the guardrail! The crowd gasps as Moss hits hard, but Crimson Mask doesn't care one bit about the well being of his opponent - that much is clear! He instead reaches over the guardrail, grabs a chair from the front row and pulls it back over. Moss begins getting to his feet and Crimson bangs the chair against the guardrail a couple of times, sizing him up... Moss ducks the chair shot, Crimson strikes the ring post! The Infinity Warrior rolls back inside the ring and Crimson tries to take the chair in with him, but Buster Powell grabs a hold of it and successfully wrestles it away from the man from Parts Unknown. Crimson seemingly accepts that he won't get to utilize the chair inside the ring and makes his way over to Moss, who's propped himself up against the ropes. This time, Moss is able to duck the incoming attack and turns around, firing off kicks to Crimson's body! Crimson pie faces him down, but Moss gets up and runs back in - catching him with a spinning heel kick! Crimson falls back into the ropes, but props back up to his feet - he doesn't go down! Moss stumbles back up to his feet, hits the ropes again but Crimson roars out and nearly decapitates Moss with a thunderous lariat!

SAM HEWITT
The Infinity Warrior just got upgraded to the first class on his trip to Beyond! Yikes!

Moss is dazed and confused, staggering back up... Crimson grabs him up for a powerslam but Moss slips out the back door! He falls to a knee, Crimson turns around... DROPKICK TO THE MASKED MAN'S KNEE! Crimson goes down to one knee, Moss gets up and goes for his flying knee attack but Crimson dodges it! He grabs Moss in a rear waist hold and sends him to Suplex City with a devastating release German suplex that sees Moss land on his stomach! The impact brings him up to his knees, holding his torso... Crimson charges in and boots him in the face! Moss goes down, Crimson puts a foot on his chest for a cover, I guess. Powell gives Crimson an incredulous look, but counts.

1-KICK OUT!

Crimson tells Powell to count faster next time! Powell shakes his head as Crimson goes back on the attack, pulling Moss up and hooks him up for a suplex... he hoists him up in the air, then leaves him there... five seconds, ten seconds, fifteen seconds, twenty seconds, twenty five seconds... THEN DRIVES HIM INTO THE MAT WITH A BRAINBUSTER! The fans gasp as Moss again sits up after impact, but Crimson crawls over and pulls Moss back down to the mat and covers.

3-NO!

FOOT ON THE ROPE!

Powell shows Crimson the foot on the rope, the masked man growls in frustration as he stands up, getting in Powell's face. Crimson shoves him, but Powell shoves him right back. Crimson chuckles, then turns his attention back to Moss. The Infinity Warrior gets up to a knee and tries to stand straight up, but loses his balance and falls through the ropes to the apron. Crimson exits to the apron himself and dashes across, stomping Moss in the chest before jumping off the apron. Moss falls to the ground, Crimson scoops him up and steadies him on his feet before whipping him into the guardrail! Moss hits hard, but hooks his arms over the top to keep himself upright and aware of what Crimson is doing. Crimson Mask again goes for the chair but Buster Powell gets out and grabs it away from him, ordering him back inside the ring. Crimson says nuts to that and charges at Moss, who dives out of the way and the masked man goes full bore into the guardrail!

SAM HEWITT
No one home as Kevin Moss vacates the premises, narrowly avoiding Crimson Mask's locomotive like attack!

Moss gets up and jumps onto the apron, rolling under the ropes and lays in the ring trying to recover. Powell begins the count on Crimson, who's grimacing and favouring his shoulder. At five, Crimson Mask gets going, moving across the floor toward the ring. He grabs the ring skirt at seven, then the middle rope at eight, dragging himself inside the ring to beat the count. Moss rolls to the apron, then uses the turnbuckles to get himself back on his feet. The Infinity Warrior steadies himself before leaping onto the top rope...

SPRINGBOARD EL-NO!

Crimson ducks the flying attack, he hoofs Moss in the gut and hooks him for another suplex...

SAM HEWITT
Moss slips out and goes right back on the attack, trying to chop him down with leg kicks!

Crimson turns around and eats consecutive leg kicks, then a spinning backfist! Crimson is wobbly, but he doesn't go down... SO MOSS HITS A SECOND ONE! Even so, Crimson remains on his feet... but in physical form only. Moss runs past Crimson, exits to the apron and quickly springboards back inside! Nailing the elbow this time! Crimson staggers back into the ropes, but doesn't fall... Moss gets up, goes out to the apron again and shoves Crimson back toward the middle of the ring. He leaps onto the top rope and soars off...

FOREVER BLAST FLYING KNEE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD!

CRIMSON GOES FORWARD! FALLS OUT OF THE RING!

Moss gets up, ready to go out after him but Powell steps between him and the ropes and orders him to stand back. Powell checks on Crimson quickly then climbs back inside, starting a ten count. The Infinity Warrior stands torn, not exactly keen on standing around, but Powell keeps his eye on Moss as the count goes past five.

Crimson begins to stir.

10!

Crimson grabs the ring skirt as the bell sounds, Moss' arm is raised in victory and the Infinity Warrior shakes his head as he exits.

It's not the victory Kevin Moss envisioned, I'm sure... but he got the job done. Call it a knockout, call it a count out. It was his springboard knee that caused the outcome.

Stage hands rush to Crimson Mask's side, but the masked man roars to life - sending the men scattering before he too heads up the aisle.

THROWBACK THURSDAY - 12/14/2017
ROARING RUMBLE CONCLUSION
Ben Chrenshaw vs. Carl Whitaker

The fans go silent as Chrenshaw stands up, the groin attack by Draven still affecting him. Whitaker gets up off his knees and the two meet face to face, Pulver is helped out of the ring. The two men not really strangers to one another.

SAM HEWITT
Chrenshaw and Whitaker are your final two. Ol' Stonehands up against the Crippler.

CHAD GOMEZ
Brawler versus technician. Texas vs. British style. I've wanted to see these two square off in singles action for a long time.

Whitaker smiles as Chrenshaw eggs him on, lunging forward with the big right. Chrenshaw ducks it and turns around, blasting him with leg kicks! Whitaker catches one, but Chrenshaw grabs his head and delivers a headbutt! Whitaker falls back against the ropes, but rebounds with a European uppercut! Texas style! Chrenshaw goes down, but pops back up - only to eat a throat thrust! Chrenshaw stumbles down to his knees and Whitaker grabs him, chucking him up onto the top rope near the corner. He tries with his might to dump him over, but Chrenshaw wraps his arm around the ropes and fires off desperate shots with his other arm! He knocks Whitaker back and boots him to create even more space. Chrenshaw gets down, but Whitaker presses the attack - jabs and hooks to the body. He backs off for a moment, but nails a blistering knife edge chop! The impact on Chrenshaw's chest echoes throughout the arena! Whitaker does it again... and again! He then grabs Chrenshaw by the head, leads him out and dumps him out onto the apron! Chrenshaw holds on for dear life, managing to punch Whitaker in the gut - buying him a few moments. Chrenshaw gets up, grabs Whitaker and tries to drag him out using a front chancery. Chrenshaw wraps his legs around the bottom rope, using whatever leverage he can knowing he can't afford to go anywhere. Whitaker drives a knee into his body, freeing himself from Chrenshaw's grip. He grabs the MAX-J Heavyweight Champion and runs him into the ring post! Chrenshaw wobbles, but grabs the piece between the turnbuckle and the post to hang on. Whitaker goes for a right hook, but Chrenshaw ducks and Whitaker's hand slams into the post! He staggers away in all kinds of pain.

SAM HEWITT
Whitaker's stone hands met a force stronger than that - the ring post! He may have broken his hand!

Chrenshaw slips on the ring apron, but grabs the middle rope... dangling precariously... he grabs the top rope and pulls himself up.

BIG

RIGHT

HAND!

Whitaker collapses to the mat, holding his hand in pain. Chrenshaw hits the apron and drops to the floor as the bell sounds! The fans applauding, not cheering, but applauding the effort put forth by both men. Garner checks on Whitaker, then signals to the medical staff while separate staff check on Chrenshaw on the outside. Whitaker gets up, unable to close his hand... Garner raises his opposite arm in victory!

As we come back from commercial break the promo for Cutlass vs. Irvine begins to play:

In youth bonds are formed.

Images of a young Irvine and Cutlass flash on the screen as the circle each other in the ring.

Brothers united against time.

The video slowly plays scenes from various matches over the years. Images of the men in Japan, Cutlass in a white mask while Irvine wears a black. Various failed tag team attempts followed by victories singles victories.

Often divided against one another.

Their deadly ballads flash across the screen, Irvine Tenzan Tombstone Drivers Cutlass in the middle of the ring followed by Cutlass nailing a Burning Hammer to Irvine on the outside. Cutlass nails a violet Pedigree on a steel stage followed by the scene of Irvine Gut-wrench Powerbombing Cutlass through a table.

Only strengthens the bond of true warriors.

Various victories as BLACK Lion's Road roll for us all to enjoy. The defeat of The Streak, dismantlement of the Burning Hammers, the two titans of Irvine and Cutlass standing triumphant in the ring.

But all other moments have paled when compared to this...

Scenes from their World War match go across the scene followed by their 60 min draw illuminate the screen. Cutlass' counter of the Battle Cry with his Blazin' Kick. Irvine's Avalanche Brainbuster onto the top turnbuckle. Split screens of both mens faces as they writh in agony as the other locks on a submission off-screen.

Ladies and gentlemen, here to make the special prematch declaration for this fourteenth King of Lions championship bout is first generation King of Lions Champion... Teddy Davis!

Davis gets some applause as he walks up and shakes Irvine's hand, then shakes hands with Cutlass.

It is here tonight in London, Ontario... on December 21st, 2017 - the four hundredth and forty eighth day of Julian Cutlass' historic reign as King of Lions champion that Alexander Irvine looks to complete the Triple Crown. A task completed by winning the World tag team titles, the Heritage heavyweight title and of course, the King of Lions - a feat that no fighter has accomplished yet. On the other hand, Julian Cutlass looks to become the first champion ever in Lion's Road to enter the double digits in defenses. These two men are vying for the crown known as the King of Lions - the highest honour in all of Lion's Road. May the best of you two emerge victorious this evening and lay claim to the title of King of Lion's Road!

Davis waves to the fans and exits.

This King of Lions Championship bout is to be fought over a thirty minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner. First, the challenger from Keokuk, Iowa! He weighed this morning at two hundred and fifteen pounds! Making his second challenge for the King of Lions Championship! ALEXANDER "THE UNNATURAL" IRVINE!

Irvine throws a few punches and kicks, then bounces in place.

JAKE AARONS

Now, the champion from Vancouver, British Columbia! He weighed in this morning at two hundred and nineteen pounds! Attempting to make his tenth defense... JULIAN "THE BLAZIN' KING" CUTLASS!

Cutlass raises his title high before handing to a stage hand.

JAKE AARONS

Your referee for this bout is Cordell Garner!

Aarons and the stage hands exits the ring as Garner asks both the champion and the challenger if they're ready to go. After confirmation from both, he signals for the bell and with that the fourteenth King of Lions championship bout is underway! Irvine immediately thrust kicks Cutlass, driving him backwards. Having knocked the champion off balance, the challenger moves in with alternate palm strikes that succeed in putting Cutlass in the corner. With Cutlass down, Irvine begins feeding knees into the chest/head area. Garner tries to get in between, but Irvine shoves him aside and gets back at it - this time kicking the King of Lions with a flurry! Cutlass does his best to cover up as Garner produces a yellow card, Irvine ignores the public warning and charges in - stomping away on Cutlass' stomach! Garner grabs Irvine from behind and swings him back toward the middle of the ring. The senior referee gets right up in Irvine's face, but the disobedient eyes stare past him at Cutlass trying to recover in the corner.

JAKE AARONS

Referee Cordell Garner has issued a yellow card to Alexander Irvine for not adhering to the referee's instructions - his first public warning.

SAM HEWITT

Immediately you see Irvine setting a tone for this match. He claims that the other challengers defeat themselves by seeing Cutlass as an unconquerable champion, while Alexander Irvine believes that Cutlass is, and I quote - "a wrestling artist inspired by a great muse". Irvine is showing he doesn't have any such fear or respect for the aura that Cutlass has created in his four hundred and forty eight days as champion.

As Cutlass gets back up, Irvine pushes Garner aside and goes to get after him but repeated elbow strikes from the Blazin' King find their mark! With Irvine stunned, Cutlass snaps off a quick exploder suplex and moves into side control. From there, the champion drives his right knee into Irvine's midsection, hoping to open up an opportunity but Irvine returns fire with a palm strike from the bottom. Cutlass slams his left elbow down across Irvine's forearms that guard his face. Cutlass stands straight up and drives a knee across the stomach of Irvine, rolling through on impact. Irvine sits up, winded and stares at Cutlass as he gets to his feet. Because there has been no contact made, Garner begins the ten count for Irvine to get back up. The Wolf doesn't take long, maybe three or four seconds and immediately presses the attack by slapping the champion's face! Cutlass comes back with an elbow! Irvine a slap! Cutlass an elbow! Irvine falls to a knee! Cutlass rattles him again, but with a palm strike! Irvine falls against the middle rope... Cutlass grabs him - side headlock...

IT'S COUNTERED!

BACKDROP DRIVER BY IRVINE!

RIGHT ON THE NECK OF THE CHAMPION!

Cutlass rolls out of the ring after impact, Irvine gets up and follows him right out, grabbing him up off the floor and driving him back first into the guardrail. Cutlass yelps in pain, his back curving after the collision. Irvine backs up and runs in...

FLYING KNEE!

Irvine nearly goes ass over tea kettle into the front row, but manages to keep himself on this side of the guardrail. A stage hand tries to help him back over but gets shoved for the audacity of trying to lend a hand. With Cutlass down against the guardrail, Irvine unhooks an adjacent piece and raises it above his head... Garner orders him to put it down, but Irvine chucks it right at Cutlass! Thankfully, the fact that Cutlass is near where the guardrails change direction saves him as the thrown piece hits those pieces first and leaves little actual impact for Cutlass. Garner orders Irvine back inside the ring, but the challenger throws the guardrail aside and pulls Cutlass up to his feet. Garner keeps chastising him until Irvine finally tells him he's taking him back to the ring - only to bounce him off the ring post! Cutlass falls down on all fours and Irvine mounts his back, alternating left and right punches to the side of the head! Garner tells Irvine to get back in the ring, so the challenger dismounts and pulls Cutlass up to his feet only to slam him off the apron and roll back inside. Garner checks on Cutlass as Irvine stands tall inside the ring.

SAM HEWITT

The champion has been roughed up like we've never seen before, fans. Alexander Irvine is this man's teammate and look at the lengths he's willing to go to in order to dethrone Cutlass as the King of Lions. I cannot say I'm particularly surprised by the actions given Irvine's history and character, but it's still a bit shocking.

Cutlass gets up and drags himself inside the ring, Irvine backs off at Garner's request and the ten count begins. Cutlass lays on all fours for a few seconds, then staggers to his feet to a huge pop from the London, Ontario crowd. Cutlass enters a fighting stance, Irvine puts his dukes up as well and snaps in, faking a jab but Cutlass doesn't fake his shot - a kick to the body! Irvine crumbles backwards against the ropes, Cutlass begins unleashing more kicks on his teammate! He grabs Irvine in a front chancery and drops backwards, Cutlass immediately transitions - trying to apply a cross armbreaker but Irvine is having nothing of it! He holds his hands tightly, preventing Cutlass from extending them and turns toward the champion. Cutlass lets go and Irvine leaps into side control, applying a grounded side headlock. Cutlass rolls over onto his stomach, the challenger then spins around and transitions into a guillotine choke. Or at the very least, he'd like to - Cutlass does a good job of defending the choke hold. Irvine slides his arm under Cutlass' left arm... then leaps over...

FUJIWARA ARMBAR!

Cutlass quickly defends it, rolling onto his side to lessen the pressure. Irvine transitions it into an Americana instead, but Cutlass successfully defends that with the most technical of escapes - a series of knees to the head! Irvine lets go and rolls up to his feet, grabbing Cutlass in a rear waist hold as he attempts to stand. He initially goes for a German suplex, but Cutlass blocks it so Irvine instead takes him down onto all fours and enters back side control. Irvine slides a hand underneath and grabs it with his other, cranking on the neck of the King of Lions! He pulls him up to his feet, trying to clamp on the body scissors but Cutlass charges him back into the corner and grabs the ropes to force a break at the count of four. Cutlass then walks away, allowing Irvine to get out of the corner. The two circle around and test their range, Irvine goes for a leg kick and gets it. Cutlass shakes it off and keeps circling, Irvine fakes a kick and goes for a punch but gets a palm strike for his troubles! Cutlass tries to move in on the staggered Irvine, but the Wolf clutches him in a front waist hold and throws him down with a belly to belly suplex! Irvine lays on top of him, trying to catch his breath.

Irvine pulls Cutlass' head up and starts yelling at Garner.

Irvine not happy about Garner starting the pinfall. The Wolf prefers to submit or knock out opponents and has sworn off pinfalls completely. He wasn't always this way, it started very early this year coming back from the brutal Steel Cage bout against Matt Pulver that closed out 2016. He may have felt that a hungrier version of the Wolf was needed, I suppose.

Irvine grabs Cutlass' left leg with his right arm, then clutches it around the thigh with his left...

SINGLE LEG CRAB!

The fans gasp as Irvine nearly falls over cranking it in! The hold that Ben Chrenshaw used to submit Julian Cutlass way back on September 1st, 2016 in Tokyo, Japan to retain the Iron Championship. Since then, many a'men have tried to duplicate his success with the signature hold. Cutlass by now has had plenty of time and practice to figure out escapes and counters, but since he's close to the ropes - he opts to conserve some energy and simply latches on to the bottom rope to get Garner to call for a break. Calling for a break and getting one are two different things as once again, Irvine takes his sweet time releasing the hold but does before Garner's count reaches five. Cutlass holds his leg in pain, Irvine walks to the opposite set of ropes and backs into them... resting as he waits for Cutlass to get up. That lasts for about two seconds before Irvine decides fuck it and makes things happen himself, he grabs Cutlass' leg and turns him over for the single leg crab once again!

CUTLASS GRABS THE ROPES!

Garner calls for the break, Irvine gets up and stomps away on the leg before he grabs Cutlass by the head and drags him into the centre of the ring. He grabs his dazed teammate and applies a rear waist hold, Cutlass tries to block it by hooking his leg but Irvine drives a knee into the thigh of previously attacked leg! Cutlass grunts, but lunges for the ropes and grabs them! Garner calls for a break as Irvine tries to yank Cutlass away repeatedly. Unsuccessful, the challenger backs up to the side and drives a fist into the lower body of the King of Lions! He collapses to a knee, Irvine balls his fist up again and throws a punch but Cutlass turns so it hits his back and then falls onto all fours. Irvine feverishly tries to expose the liver of Cutlass, looking to end his reign with a simple punch... but Cutlass grabs him and tries to take him down! Irvine sprawls out, clutching the torso as he does. He slowly turns into back side control, sliding an arm underneath and grabs it with the one above... NECK CRANK! He pulls him up... REAR WAIST HOLD!

GERMAN SU-NO!

SAM HEWITT

Excellent counter attack by Julian Cutlass as he drives the heel of his foot into Irvine's leg - just above the kneecap, causing the challenger to lose his balance and drop Cutlass back to the mat where he grabs the top rope.

Cutlass uses the ropes to hold himself up, catching his breath... Irvine shakes his leg out before going back on the attack! Cutlass tries to get off the ropes before this happens, but winds up getting backed into the corner instead. Irvine lifts the champion's leg and puts it over the middle rope, then grabs the ankle... yanking on it! Cutlass is in agony as Garner begins his five count! Irvine backs up, but begins kicking at it each time Garner stops his five count. Irvine grabs the leg, freeing it up... but pulls Cutlass into the centre of the ring, hopping on one leg...

ENZUIGIR-IRVINE DUCKS!

CHOKE SLEEPER APPLIED!

Irvine lifts Cutlass off his feet for a moment or two, but sets him back down. Cutlass butt checks him, then rams him back into the corner! Irvine keeps the sleeper locked in tight! Cutlass tries to grab Irvine's hand and free himself, but has no such luck. He reaches for the ropes, but Irvine kicks off of the turnbuckle and spins around so that Cutlass is in the centre of the ring. Irvine hops up on his back, clamping on the bodyscissors!

IRVINE YANKS BACK!

SAM HEWITT

Irvine has got the choke sleeper locked in tight, super tight and now the bodyscissors are applied... he's pulling back, trying to knock Cutlass off balance and bring him down to the mat. Fans, if Cutlass falls... this may be it for his epic title reign. He needs to stay standing and get out of that hold ASAP.

Cutlass lunges forward, falling to his knees and drilling Irvine's head off the top turnbuckle. Irvine falls back and lays motionless in the centre of the ring. Cutlass stays on his knees, not noticing what's transpired as he attempts to catch his breath. Cutlass turns and sees Irvine out! He looks at Garner, who tells him to cover him or stand up! Cutlass tries to get up to a single knee, even grabbing the ropes... but falls backwards onto Irvine.

HE KICKED OUT!

Cutlass lays on top of Irvine, who's now on his side... a look of disbelief on the champion's face. That look of disbelief quickly turns to surprise as Irvine wraps his legs around Cutlass' right arm, then clutches the left arm with his own left arm, then begins bashing his elbow into Cutlass' cranium!

ELBOW AFTER ELBOW!

CUTLASS IS STRUGGLING TO PULL HIS RIGHT ARM FREE!

HE DOES! HE FREES HIMSELF UP COMPLETELY!

Cutlass turns over into side control, Irvine immediately grabs the left arm again... and holds it up as he bucks his hips a few times, then brings his legs up... bending himself nearly in half...

HE GRABS CUTLASS" LEFT ARM WITH HIS LEGS AND SPRINGS FORWARD!

CUTLASS IS SWEPT ONTO HIS BACK! IRVINE HAS CONTROL OF THE RIGHT ARM NOW TOO!

SAM HEWITT
It looks like an octopus hold, a back crucifix! Irvine has Cutlass completely restrained!

Irvine uses his free hand to pound Cutlass right in the solar plexus! Cutlass struggles, Irvine fires off a few shots to the face...

Cutlass has nowhere to go!

Irvine slaps his right hand onto his left arm and leans back, throwing his left leg over Cutlass' head...

ARMBAR! IRVINE CRANKS IT ON!

CUTLASS TRIES AN ESCAPE!

IT'S NO GOOD!

CUTLASS...

CUTLASS...

HE TAPS!

The London, Ontario crowd goes silent then pops as they begin to take in what just happened. Alexander Irvine lets go and tries to get up, but falls onto all fours. Cutlass lays on his back, looking up at the lights. Wes Chubbman storms the ring, jumping up and down... he grabs Irvine but gets shoved by the Wolf! Chubbman applauds anyway! Irvine gets up as Mandeville Nelson enters the ring. The newly crowned champion poses for a few pictures, raising his arms in the air. Nelson watches medical staff attend to Cutlass, who sits up. The Lion's Road president goes toward Irvine, but Cutlass reaches up and stops him. The Blazin' King asks for the belt and Nelson hands it to him. Cutlass...

WRAPS IT AROUND IRVINE'S WAIST!

He fastens it and pats Irvine on the back. Irvine turns around and the two warriors share a hug. Cutlass grabs Irvine's arm and raises it high, then exits the ring. Irvine gets up on the ropes in the corner and raises his arms, patting the belt a few times as cameras snap pictures of the new King of Lions.

Fans! I'm sorry! I don't have any words! We've witnessed the end of an era and... we are out of time! We'll have more in our post fight show! You won't want to miss it!
