SAM HEWITT

From what was once Lower Saginaw! Bay City, Michigan! Hello wrestling fans! My name is Sam Hewitt and alongside me as always is Chad Gomez. Chad, it's been a long time coming for a lot of fans - it's a dream match worth every bit of that moniker. Newly crowned King of Lions Champion, yes - that's right - new champion.... Alexander Irvine doesn't get a break in his first bout since becoming champion because he's got the Heritage Heavyweight Champion James Edwards to contend with! The two battle in tonight's main event, one on one in non title action.

CHAD GOMEZ
Sambo - it's a dream match for sure. It's the first time we've ever seen the current King of Lions battle the current Heritage Champion and though there's no belts up for grabs, a win by either man could change the landscape for sure.

SAM HEWITT

Oh, absolutely. But let's go to Jake Aarons to introduce the opening bout...

JAKE AARONS

Ladies and gentlemen, this opening bout is a Gauntlet Challenge in the first round of the 2018 Heritage Cup! It is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit! Introducing first from Albany, New York! He weighed in this morning at two hundred and twenty pounds... DEREK DRAVEN!

Draven adjusts his attire.

JAKE AARONS

His opponent from Jackson, Mississippi! He weighs in at two hundred and forty seven pounds... FRANK MEADOWS!

Meadows steps out, acknowledging the fans for their polite applause.

JAKE AARONS

And the man who will face the winner! Fighting out of the Platinum Coast! He weighs in at two hundred and forty pounds... ALEX KINCAID!

Kincaid, steps out from the back and raises an arm, taking a seat in the aisle.

JAKE AARONS

Your referee for this bout is Buster Powell!

SAM HEWITT
Before we begin, I'd just like to run down the basic rules of this Gauntlet Challenge. Derek Draven was given the choice, as the highest ranked fighter in this match, of whether he wanted to start the Gauntlet or come in after the initial stage was completed. And most would immediately jump and say hey, I want to come in after - be the freshest guy in the match. However, knowing that - Lion's Road and the Laurentide Athletic Commission offered an incentive for coming in first: each stage counts as an individual match. Derek Draven has elected to start so if he gets past both Frank Meadows and Alex Kincaid this evening - he'll have TWO wins under his belt and gets double the points in the rankings. Not only does he advance to the second round, but he gets one step closer to a King of Lions championship bout by moving himself up the rankings.

Referee Buster Powell asks Draven and Meadows if they want to shake hands, but Draven responds only with a sick smile. Meadows nods as Powell sends both men back to their corner, but Draven charges in at Meadows while his back is turned! He cracks him with a palm strike to the back of the head, knocking him against the ropes. Draven begins hammering him with headbutts, ignoring Powell's five count. Powell yanks Draven away from Meadows and produces a yellow card.

JAKE AARONS
Referee Buster Powell has issued a yellow card to Derek Draven for not adhering to the referee's five count - his first public warning.

SAM HEWITT
That public warning could cost him as it will carry over to the next stage of the contest if Draven can defeat Frank Meadows.

CHAD GOMEZ
It's looking more when than if here, Sambo. Draven may have gotten a yellow card, but look how he left Meadows!

Indeed, Meadows is bloodied up from the barrage of headbutts he received. For that matter, Draven is too but it's really hard to quantify how much blood is Draven's and how much is Meadows' given the Technician's blatant disregard for his own safety. Meadows is checked over by Powell, who asks Dr. Nick Pierson to step up onto the apron. Meadows is looked at, but given the OK to continue. He gets up, wipes blood away and steps forward. Draven hoofs him in the gut and snaps off a quick neckbreaker! Meadows hits the mat with a thud, but the War Horse rolls onto his side and begins getting back to his feet. Draven backs up into the corner and can't help but smile... Meadows turns around toward Draven...

HEADBUTT!

Meadows teeters down to one knee, Draven grabs him...

PILEDRIVER!

He covers!

JAKE AARONS
Frank Meadows has been eliminated!

Alex Kincaid walks down the aisle and climbs up onto the apron as Frank Meadows is helped out of the ring. Draven turns and sneers at Kincaid, who climbs through the ropes. Powell quickly checks him over and calls for the bell. The two men start around the ring, Draven checking his cut as he does. The two fighters lock-up, Alex Kincaid gets behind Draven with a rear waist hold but the Technician, Derek Draven executes a standing switch and gets one of his own on Kincaid. The Bullet King doesn't take long to break free, grabbing the left arm and wringing it out. Draven drops to a knee in pain but pops back up and counters it into an arm wringer of his own! Rather than try to hold his larger foe in place, Draven kicks him in behind the knee and drops him to the mat with the hold still applied. Kincaid rolls back up to his feet, counters the arm wringer into one of his own but this time clasps the elbow of Draven with his left hand and presses down as he's pushing the arm upwards with his right hand! Draven grunts in pain as Kincaid does this several times, then transitions into a standing hammerlock as he goes behind the man from Albany, New York. Draven wraps his legs around Kincaid's foot and trips him up! Draven jumps into a grounded side headlock, but the Bullet King slips out and reapplies the hammerlock! He rolls Draven onto his back and tries to leap up and over to apply a grounded side headlock of his own but Draven rolls away! The Bay City fans applaud the exchange on the mat.

SAM HEWITT
Some clean and crisp grappling in the early moments. Both of these men are entering their eighteenth year in the sport, Derek Draven will be 42 in May while Alex Kincaid is turning 36 in just ten days. I for one am happy to see veteran fighters enter the Lion's Road. We've got some of the best young talent in the sport, so it's great to see the veterans come here to test themselves - to see if they've got what it takes.

Both men are back up and lock-up, Draven pulls a side headlock but is quickly backed into the ropes and shot off. The Technician rebounds and hits a shoulder tackle on Kincaid, but the Bullet King rolls onto his stomach and pops up, lifting Draven up and over with a big back body drop as he bounces off the ropes. The Albany, New York native hits the mat hard, but climbs back to his feet and gets slapped before a DROPKICK TO THE KNEE! Draven face plants but rolls over toward the ropes to buy himself a few moments, Kincaid isn't interested and hauls Draven to his feet. He gets a shot to the gut, or maybe even a low blow - it's hard to tell from the camera's vantage point. Referee Buster Powell didn't get a great view of it either so it could simply be veteran savvy on the part of Draven, but he follows up the disputed shot with a headbutt - knocking Kincaid down to his knees. Draven pulls him back up, forearm shot to the face followed by a second, knocking Kincaid into the ropes. Draven grabs him and shoots him across the ring with an Irish whip then charges... PALM STRIKE ON THE REBOUND! Kincaid hits the mat, his head bouncing as he does!

SAM HEWITT
A rough landing for the Bullet King!

CHAD GOMEZ
I'll say! You won't get a travel for that one, it was all dribble.

Draven backs into the ropes and then runs... leaping into the air... HEADB-NO! NO ONE HOME! Kincaid rolls out of harm's way and Draven drives his dome into the mat. Kincaid pulls himself to his feet with the ropes, then sizes Draven up - pointing to his chest.

"RIGHT!"

Leaps up, and slams down an elbow across the area he targeted as he shouts "THERE!" before making a lateral press.

2...

NO!

Kincaid gets up off Draven and drags him back up to a vertical base. Kincaid grabs his leg, bends it at the knee and lifts it up... Draven slams his head into Kincaid's forcing the Bullet King to put him down, abandoning the shinbreaker it looked like he was going for. Draven backs into the ropes and bounces off, but Kincaid ducks the attack and grabs the arm, wrenching it and pulling Draven in for a DDT! Draven bulls Kincaid into the corner to escape what could certainly have been the end for him. Draven backs away from Kincaid at the count of three, but swats him with a palm strike! Draven is yanked away by Powell, chuckling at his work. Kincaid falls to his knee, checking his face for any blood. Draven starts back toward him, grabbing him up and thrusting him into position for a piledriver! He tries to lift him...

Kincaid kicks his legs and gets set back down!

Draven tries again...

Kincaid drops to a knee...

BACK BODY DROP!

Draven rolls onto his side and begins the climb back to his feet, but Kincaid clutches him in a rear waist hold and goes for the Llewellyn Lift - his signature German suplex named after his trainer, Steve. Draven blocks the suplex attempt by hooking his leg around Kincaid, then elbows his way free. Draven turns around but gets scooped up, Kincaid turns to the centre of the ring and points to the mat before he drives Draven down with authority on the powerslam! Kincaid falls back into a seated position, a bit winded but rolls to his feet after a few moments. Draven is stirring also, Kincaid goes for a running knee lift to prevent him from getting back up but Draven dodges it and clamps on a choke!

SAM HEWITT
Kincaid is in trouble! Draven has got the blade of his arm pressing directly against the windpipe and he's using his left hand to push Kincaid's head downwards. The hands are not connected though! That might be a mistake!

Kincaid manages to grab the ropes, but Draven leaps onto his back and cinches the choke even more! Powell's count reaches five and he wraps his big, football player arms around Draven's neck and pulls him off before pulling out a second yellow card!

JAKE AARONS
Referee Buster Powell has issued a yellow card to Derek Draven for not adhering to the referee's five count - his second public warning.

Kincaid is coughing, still hanging onto the top rope. Draven starts back toward him, but Powell orders the Technician to stay back. Draven, knowing a disqualification is the only thing left to get, opts to back off without issue. Kincaid turns around, arms still draped on the ropes to keep him upright... Draven walks over and grabs an arm, yanking him into the middle of the ring. Draven tries to pull him into a headbutt, but Kincaid ducks... and uses the fact that Draven still has his arm to his advantage...

SHORT ARM LARIAT!

Kincaid pulls Draven up, hoists him onto his shoulders...

SPINS HIM INTO AN ACE CRUSHER!

THE FINISHING TOUCH!

He covers!

...

3!

Kincaid rolls off onto his knees, confirming that it was a three count. Upon Powell's positive response, Kincaid cracks a smile as he puts his head down on the mat. He gets back up and Powell raises his arm in victory. The Bay City fans applaud him. He sees Draven getting up and tries to help him, but the Albany, New York native shoves him away! Kincaid watches as Draven shakes his head at him, then drops to the mat and rolls out. Kincaid shrugs his shoulders and raises his arms again.

SAM HEWITT
There's a man who might feel like he's just got a weight lifted off his shoulders as he picks up his biggest win in Lion's Road to date - advancing to the semi finals where he'll meet the winner of Matt Pulver and Kevin Moss - who will be competing shortly. We'll be right back with more on Wrestling from the Lion's Road!

JAKE AARONS

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a singles bout in the first round of the 2018 Heritage Cup! It is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first fighting out of Bloomington, Minnesota! He weighs in at one hundred and eighty pounds... MATT PULVER!

Pulver steps forward and raises his fist.

JAKE AARONS

His opponent from Santa Barbara, California! He weighs in at two hundred and twenty five pounds... KEVIN MOSS!

Moss bounces off the ropes a couple of times.

JAKE AARONS

Your referee for this bout is Cordell Garner!

Referee Cordell Garner checks both men over and calls for the bell. Matt Pulver begins the bout as the aggressor, backing Kevin Moss down. Moss keeps aware of his surroundings, not wanting to allow Pulver the chance for a suplex or slam because he backed himself into a corner. Moss circles out, Pulver tries to back him down again but eats a leg kick. Pulver rubs his leg but presses the attack again, Moss strikes him with a second one and Pulver absorbs it - pushing forward to grab a clinch. Moss is able to shove him aside, but Pulver moves back and plants his feet in the dead centre of the ring so that he essentially has the higher ground so to speak. Moss advances forward, circling around him... looking for an opening. Moss hits a lightning quick spinning back kick that hits Pulver in the forearm, causing him to grunt and back up to shake it off. Pulver is clearly a bit annoyed by the pain and tries to channel it positively by pushing ahead, but Moss backs up and decks Pulver with a kick to the same area again! Pulver reels - Moss tries for a third one but Pulver dodges it and falls back against the ropes!

SAM HEWITT

This bout is a classic one - grappler vs. striker. Kevin Moss utilizes a lot of kicks and knees especially, not to mention a propensity to throw hands. Matt Pulver meanwhile likes to tie his opponents up in knots. In regards to strengths and weaknesses, I think Pulver is a better striker than Moss is a grappler. It will be interesting to see how these two adapt to each other's styles if one gains the advantage.

Garner tells Moss to halt and gives Pulver a five count to get off the ropes. Pulver comes out and puts his fists up, he and Moss circle around... the Infinity Warrior goes for another kick on the Swedish Wrestling Machine but the California native is caught! Moss is tripped up, but does a fantastic job of getting off his back as Pulver is coming down and winds up taking his back! The crowd pops as Moss attempts to do something after getting his legs hooked around Pulver's torso. Pulver defends a choke attempt and knocks Moss' right leg away, he then digs his left elbow into Moss' left thigh and turns - isolating the leg for an attempted single leg crab but Moss upkicks him and sends him back into the ropes again! Pulver storms out, trying to get Moss before he gets up but the Infinity Warrior is back on his feet! He kicks Pulver in the stomach, then in the leg! Pulver goes down to one knee, Moss swings for the fences with a kick but Pulver ducks it! The crowd oohs at how close it was, Pulver's face tells the same story. Moss executes a counter clockwise sweep, taking Pulver's leg out from underneath him - sending him down to the mat! Moss pivots and walks back to his corner.

SAM HEWITT

Well, that seems like a statement to me. Moss just chopped him down and walked off. I just thought, too. We didn't even speak to the size advantage here. Matt Pulver has bulked up a bit, in the one hundred and eighty pound range from the previous one hundred and seventy five. He's attempting to add to his frame and make his ground game all the more deadly.

CHAD GOMEZ

Yeah, but five foot ten against Kevin Moss who is two twenty five and six foot four - your reach is outmatched. Pulver needs to find a way to get him down and keep him there. I don't think striking is going to help him set this up, Pulver has to fight close quarters or he's getting knocked out.

Almost like he heard it being said, Pulver gets up and circles around... he waits for Moss to go for a low kick, then rushes in - blasting Moss with a forearm shot! He hits a second, then tries for a third but Moss doubles over. Pulver goes to grab him, but Moss gets him with a leg kick! Add a kick to the body to that order! Plus another! And ano-NO! Pulver catches it! PALM STRIKE! Moss is sent backwards, Pulver dives at him hoping to land near him as he falls but Moss manages to stay on his feet - crashing into the ropes. Pulver spins back up to his feet, but Moss hits him with the superman punch! Pulver falls into the corner, staggers out! SPINNING BACKFIST! PULVER GOES DOWN! Garner urges Moss to stay back and checks him over briefly, but stands up and begins the ten count - keeping his hand out to tell Moss to keep his distance.

4... Pulver crawls toward the corner, grabbing the ropes.

5...

6... He hoists himself to his feet and steadies himself in the corner. He comes back into the centre of the ring with his fists up, ready to battle. Moss puts his hands out, faking a couple jabs then goes for a leg kick. Pulver steps back to dodge the kick, then jumps forward to grab a rear waist hold on Moss. Moss stays calm, Pulver tries to make it seem he's going to lift him up while trying to wrap his foot around Kevin Moss' leg to trip him... Moss reaches back with his right arm, trying to elbow Pulver away. Pulver goes to the left side where Moss clamps on a side headlock and tightens the grip... Moss takes him over!

PULVER SWINGS UP - HEADSCISSORS!

Pulver tries to keep them intact, but Moss is able to slip out with little trouble. Both men scramble back to their feet, Moss hits a spin kick to the gut and Pulver grunts but fires off a forearm! Moss is wobbled, not so much by the power but by being caught off balance. Pulver tries for a second, but Moss dodges it...

BACK STABBER!

The leaping clutch brings Pulver's back down across Moss' knees! Pulver arches his back in pain, falling to the mat. Moss goes for a cover!

1...

...

2-NO!

Moss gets up and exits to the apron, Pulver rolls onto his stomach clutching his back as he begins crawling to his feet. Moss grabs the top rope and waits for the right moment...

FOREVER BLAST!

SAM HEWITT
No! The flying knee misses!

Pulver somersaults to avoid the strike! Moss lands awkwardly and Pulver jumps on his back... COBRA CLUTCH! Moss drops forward, allowing himself to get a rope break without actually grabbing them with his hands. Pulver is forced to relinquish the hold and back off. Moss gets up and Pulver immediately presses the attack, clamping on a side headlock that he quickly transitions into a front chancery. Pulver flirts with the idea of a guillotine choke, but snaps off a half hatch suplex instead! He keeps a hold of the arm, pulling it up - then puts his leg around Moss' head. Pulver goes to apply the kimura portion of the move, but Moss pushes his foot away - knocking Pulver down! Pulver still has a hold of the arm though!

OMAPLATA!

MOSS GRABS THE ROPES!

Pulver lets go and gets up, knowing he very well had the match won if that move was in the centre of the ring! Moss gets up, Pulver grabs the leg... Moss leaps up, knees him in the head! Pulver falls backwards into the ropes! He springs out, Moss goes for the superman punch... Pulver catches it, turns and grasps it with his opposite arm, then grabs Moss' waist... rolls forward!

GANNOSUKE CLUTCH!

...

3!

Moss pops up after Pulver releases the hold, holding his head as he laughs. Pulver is on all fours, breathing heavily. He gets up and is greeted by a hand, Pulver happily accepts the handshake from Moss who then raises his hand. Moss pats him on the chest and makes his exit.

SAM HEWITT
Well, there's some sportsmanship - no shoving in this one. Pulver survives the striking prowess of Kevin Moss and rolls him up with the Gannosuke Clutch to advance to the second round of the Heritage Cup where he'll meet the man we saw earlier this evening - Alex Kincaid.

JAMES EDWARDS defends the Heritage Heavyweight title vs. AJ KNIGHT

As the graphic fades, AJ Knight is standing backstage with his usual smirk across his face. Next to him stands Becky Chande.

BECKY CHANDE

You seem in a very good mood tonight, especially compared to just a few weeks ago. What's changed?

AJ KNIGHT

Beckalooski...

She rolls her eyes.

AJ KNIGHT

I FINALLY got the match I've been chasing for a year. No more running, no more hiding... I've finally cornered James Edwards and got him one on one, man to man. As a bonus... the Heritage title is on the line. James, you and I have traded some words in the last week and that's done a fine job of reminding me of why I don't like you. You have so many excuses for why I got one over on you not one, but two weeks in a row. I'll give you the Rumble, it's hard to focus with fireballs being thrown. I know that first hand - it was the first notable injury I had that wasn't caused by you. But distractions... your eyes, your head being somewhere else. Losing my temper? Blowing up? That's rich coming from a man who couldn't keep his hate boner for Irvine in his pants for long enough to finish a damn tag match!

AJ shakes his head and chuckles.

AJ KNIGHT

So let me give you some good advice. Next week... you keep your eyes focused right on me, James. You forget Irvine, you forget Buchanan and look right at me. Because I want no excuses when I beat you next week, I want you to look up at me at the end of the night and know that I beat you. I want you to know beyond the shadow of a doubt that I was the better man that night. I want you to look up at me holding the Heritage title and hear Jake Aarons announcing: YOUR WINNER AND THE NEW HERITAGE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: AJ KNIGHT!!! There's going to be no excuses next week James, I'm going to be the new Heritage Champion, and that's all there is to it.

AJ pats Becky on the shoulder and storms off.

BECKY CHANDE

The house lights go down, and the arena stays black during the garbled opening guitar rift.

"Okay..."

Strobe lights move with the easy beat of the song. James appears at the top of the ramp with the hood on his ring jacket up. He takes a few moments survey everything before him. The hood goes down with the opening lyrics. Moving with the meandering pace of the music, his eyes never leave the ring. He laps the squared circle, slides under the bottom ropes, and bows martial arts style to all four corners before settling into his own. "In the Year of the Wolf" by Motorhead hits the PA system. The fans stand on their feet as smoke billows up around the entrance. Alexander Irvine walks out, King of Lions championship around his waist with his head cast down. He takes it all in for a few moments, then lifts his head - releasing the smoke from his mouth. As he begins the walk down to the ring, he removes his BLR t-shirt and chucks it aside. Upon reaching the ring he enters under the top rope and begins walking towards his corner, throwing a few kick/punch combinations before bouncing back and forth on the balls of his feet shaking his arms out.

JAKE AARONS
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your main event of the evening! It is a non title, champion vs. champion match that is to be fought over a thirty minute time limit under Kingdom Rules! Introducing first from Lexington, Kentucky! He weighed in this morning at two hundred and four pounds... he is the Heritage Heavyweight Champion... THE BURNING HEART - JAMES EDWARDS!

Edwards raises his Heritage strap high then bows.

JAKE AARONS
His opponent from Keokuk, Iowa! He weighed in this morning at two hundred and twenty two pounds... he is the King of Lions Champion... THE UNNATURAL - ALEXANDER IRVINE!

Irvine continues shadow boxing, then removes his belt and raises it in Edwards' direction.

JAKE AARONS
Your referee for this bout is Xavier Price!

The bell sounds to begin our main event. King of Lions Champion Alexander Irvine and the Heritage Heavyweight Champion James Edwards each walk out of their respective corners and get right in the other's face. The two men trade brief words before Irvine shoves Edwards, who shoves him right back! Irvine wallops him with a huge open hand slap! Edwards doubles over in pain for a moment, but comes back up and smacks Irvine just as hard! The King of Lions winces as he turns away, but comes back with a second slap. Or at least that was the intention - Edwards ducks it and begins blasting him with leg kicks! Irvine falls to one knee, but the Heritage Heavyweight Champion yanks him to his feet by his leg and executes a dragon screw! He keeps on the attack, clamping on a single leg lock to keep Irvine on the mat. The Wolf, though, tries to slap Edwards. The Burning Heart dodges the strike and squeezes tighter! Irvine falls back in pain, but sits up and puts Edwards' leg under his arm - slapping on a single leg lock of his own. Not to be outdone, the Heritage Champion transitions into a heel hook!

Irvine realizes it!

He quickly abandons his own leg lock and swings over toward the ropes, grasping the bottom rope. Xavier Price calls for the break and at three, Edwards releases and gets to his feet.

JAKE AARONS
Alexander Irvine has lost a point for utilizing a rope break, bringing his total to five.

SAM HEWITT
You can't fault him for that one.

CHAD GOMEZ
No, you can't. There's certain holds that you can fight out of, but when it comes to submissions like an achilles lock or a heel hook like Edwards just tried there - you want to get out of them as quick as possible because they can cause a lot of damage the longer they're kept on.

Irvine lays on the mat for a few moments, aggravating Edwards who tells Price to get him up as the referee is urging Edwards to stay back. Irvine takes his time, but finally climbs back to his feet. The Wolf and the Burning Heart each circle around one another. Edwards hits a leg kick, Irvine staggers! Edwards tries to catch him with a spinning back fist, but Irvine palm strikes him with his left hand and swings his right arm up - FULL NELSON! Before Edwards can even begin to think, Irvine Dragon suplexes him onto his dome! Irvine rolls up to his feet and motions to Price to count.

3... Irvine begins stalking around Edwards' downed body, "encouraging" him to get up.

4...

5...

Edwards rolls onto his side, only to get kicked in the stomach by Irvine! Edwards rolls across the ring from the impact, but starts to get up... KICK TO THE CHEST! Edwards falls over, but storms right back up and blasts Irvine with a palm strike! Irvine turns away, but comes back with a smile on his face as he cracks the Heritage Champion with one of his own! Edwards falls to a knee, but asks Irvine if that's all he's got. Irvine responds by kneeing him in the bread basket! Irvine walks away, telling Price to count.

2... Edwards is coughing and heaving, struggling to his knees.

5...

6... He gets up to all fours. Irvine grabs him by the ears and throws him into the corner! Irvine begins stomping away at Edwards' midsection, knocking him down to a seated position. From there, he drives his knee across Edwards' face several times before grabbing the ears again and sending him back into the centre of the ring. Edwards starts back up to his feet as Irvine turns and charges in...

FLYING KNEE!

It's a belated Christmas present for Uncle Cletus in the front row - free teeth!

Edwards is knocked back into the corner! Irvine lands on his knees! The King of Lions starts to get up, planting one foot on the mat...

SPIN KICK TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD!

The Heritage Champion returns fire with a vicious strike of his own!

Edwards falls onto all fours, Irvine teeters over and hits the mat. Price begins the count on both men.

Edwards has crawled over to the ropes.

He grabs the middle and top rope, holding himself up while Irvine has rolled onto his back and is attempting to sit up.

Edwards turns around, using the ropes to keep himself standing. Irvine sits up, Edwards dashes toward him...

Violent Gosp-no!

Irvine falls back, Edwards pivots...

DOUBLE STOMP!

SAM HEWITT
But he caught him flush with that one!

Irvine rolls onto his stomach and kicks his feet out in pain. Edwards grabs him up, throws an arm over and hooks a leg!

FISHERMAN BUSTER! THE FOXFIRE!

Edwards floats over and goes for the pin, but Price reminds him that there are none in this match. Edwards rolls off and Price begins counting.

Irvine rolls up to his knees, then staggers up to his feet, falls into the ropes and puts up his fists. Price calls for the action to commence again, Irvine swings wildly at Edwards who ducks and runs to the ropes. Irvine turns around and drops to the mat, narrowly missing an abisegiri from Edwards. Edwards somersaults through, Irvine grabs him in a rear waist hold...

GERMAN SUPLEX!

CHAD GOMEZ
Call the chiropractor! Irvine just made a musical instrument out of a man!

Edwards lands uncomfortably and slowly un-accordions as Irvine rolls onto his stomach.

Irvine fights up to his feet.

Edwards rolls onto his stomach.

He gets to his knees.

One knee! IRVINE GRABS HIM! EVENFLOW DDT! Edwards pancakes out on the mat, Irvine rolls out to the floor. Price begins counting both men...

And the DDT from Irvine! It might be enough to secure the win, but he's got to get back inside - he is being counted out also.

Irvine grabs the middle rope and heaves himself onto the apron.

Irvine breaks his count by dumping himself into the ring.

Edwards rolls to the floor, breaking his count!

Irvine is protesting the count being stopped, but he had a count going against on the floor that ended when he climbed back inside the ring so it's only fair that the opposite would apply in the case of Edwards. And to be honest, it's only ten extra seconds - if he hit that DDT in full then twenty seconds won't be enough to recover anyway.

Irvine storms out of the ring on the adjacent side, then makes his way around... he grabs Edwards off the ground, breaking the count. The Unnatural clinches him up and drives a knee into Edwards' chest. Edwards crumbles to the ground, but Irvine grabs him up - not an easy task when a 204lbs man is dead weight - and heaves him onto the apron. Irvine pushes him into the ring and drops to a knee, trying to catch his breath. Edwards glances up at the screen, seeing Irvine beginning to climb up onto the apron. Irvine leans in over the middle rope, Edwards jumps up and cracks him with a spinning flying knee! Edwards falls to the mat, Irvine hits the apron and then the floor to a ridiculous pop. Price begins counting.

James Edwards played possum! He made Irvine exhaust precious energy by lifting him up into the ring, then he cracked him with a vicious flying knee!

CHAD GOMEZ
And that was three impacts in one! The knee, the apron and the floor - there's no padding down there!

SAM HEWITT
But Edwards has to get up... get back on his feet before the ten count. Or else this quick thinking won't mean a thing!

Edwards digs his fists into the mat and pushes up.

He falls back into the corner, but quickly stands upright and throws his fists up to show Price he's good!

The bell sounds! Edwards falls back in the corner, looking out at Irvine on the floor! The Bay City crowd is loud! Edwards can't help but smile as Irvine begins stirring and looks up at his enemy. Edwards gets to his feet and is handed his belt, he raises the Heritage Heavyweight title high and even poses for a picture or two before turning to leave. AJ Knight comes walking down the aisle, clapping slowly. Edwards' smile turns to a look of annoyance. Knight motions around his waist, Edwards just gla--

IRVINE ATTACKS HIM FROM BEHIND!

Knight lets out a hearty chuckle then turns to leave. Stage hands fill the ring, grabbing Irvine as he attempts to pound on Edwards.

SAM HEWITT
Fans! We're out of time! See you next week!
