SAM HEWITT
From Flint, Michigan! The Heritage Cup continues! Hello wrestling fans, I'm Sam Hewitt alongside Chad Gomez and this is Wrestling from the Lion's Road. James Edwards is firmly in the spotlight this evening. He has vowed to defend the Heritage Heavyweight Championship through all three rounds of the Heritage Cup. Last week in his first round bout, he battled AJ Knight to a fifteen minute draw and advanced on a technicality - having successfully defended the title. This week in one of two semi final bouts and tonight's main event, Edwards will put the strap up against "Dynamite" David Troy.
CHAD GOMEZ
Both of these semi final matches paint a similar picture. You have David Troy and Alex Kincaid, veteran wrestlers looking to reestablish themselves. Opposite of them are James Edwards and Matt Pulver respectively. Those two are talented young fighters, sensations even, looking to make their own mark. The Heritage Cup is the one of the biggest stages to do just that.
SAM HEWITT
Absolutely, let's go to the ring and get it started.
JAKE AARONS
Ladies and gentlemen, this is a Heritage Cup semi final bout to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first from Bearing, Alberta! He weighs in at two hundred and forty pounds... ALEX KINCAID!
Kincaid pounds his chest and yells to the crowd.
JAKE AARONS
His opponent fights out of Bloomington, Minnesota by way of Leksand, Sweden! He weighs in at one hundred and eighty pounds... MATT PULVER!
Pulver raises a finger up.
JAKE AARONS
Your referee for this bout is Xavier Price!
Price calls for the bell and both men advance into the middle of the ring. A quick handshake starts us off, then the two men circle around and lock-up. Pulver is immediately pulled into a side headlock by the larger Kincaid, the Swede's technical prowess allows him to grab Kincaid's arm and get himself free, countering the hold into a top wrist lock. Well, that's the intent anyway. Kincaid's strength advantage allows him to overpower Pulver and go back to the side headlock. Pulver drops to a knee, then pushes off the mat - driving Kincaid back into the ropes. He shoots him off and tries to strike on the rebound, but Kincaid ducks the attempt and builds up more momentum by coming off the opposing ropes and blasting the two time tag team champion with a European uppercut! Pulver goes down, Kincaid does too! However, Kincaid isn't down for long and neither is Pulver. The Alberta native yanks Pulver up to his feet, clubbing him in the back several times to knock him back down to a single knee. Kincaid grabs him in a cravate and pulls him to his feet, intending to snapmare him over but Pulver blocks it and knees Kincaid in the back before clamping on an abdominal stretch! He wrenches it on for a few moments, but drops backwards with it applied for a pin!

2-KICK OUT!
Pulver grabs Kincaid up and pounds his forearm into his face, knocking him back against the ropes. Pulver goes for a takedown, but only steps back with a leg. Kincaid hops in place, coming off the ropes as a result of Pulver pulling him away. He tries to steady himself to deliver an offensive move, but Pulver kicks the base leg out from underneath him! Kincaid hits the mat with a thud and Pulver begins stomping away on the limb! He then grabs it and tries to apply a half crab, but Kincaid shoves him off - Pulver turns back and grabs the leg again, only for Kincaid to kick him back off. This time, Pulver hits the turnbuckles hard. This buys Kincaid a chance to roll onto his side and up to his knees, Pulver collects himself and charges...
DROPKICK TO THE KNEE!
Pulver does a full somersault and hits the mat!
SAM HEWITT
And there it is! Veteran ring experience at its finest! Alex Kincaid using Matt Pulver's own momentum against him, delivering that unpleasant looking dropkick to the knee which caused him to somersault and hit the mat as though he'd been slammed.
CHAD GOMEZ
A two for one special, you don't find many deals like that around a Pollo Bucket entity.
Kincaid gets up and grabs Pulver as he's trying to reach the ropes for refuge, he hoists him up high... then slams him down across his knee! Shinbreaker! Pulver rolls on the mat in agony, holding his knee. Kincaid grabs the leg and uses it to pull Pulver back into the centre of the ring where he proceeds to stomp it a couple of times, he then grabs the leg again and twirls around it - spinning toe hold! He holds steady before twisting around the leg again, cranking on the hold. Kincaid twists around a third time, this time slapping the face of Pulver as he's wrenching it on! He goes to try it a fourth time, but Pulver hoofs him with a boot to the face! Kincaid is knocked off balance and falls to the mat, Pulver rolls onto all fours and begins to get up when Kincaid grabs him in a rear waist hold and yanks him up. Pulver kicks behind him and does a standing switch, but Kincaid elbows him! Pulver loosens his grip as Kincaid tries to elbow him again, Pulver ducks it this time and leaps onto Kincaid's back! The cobra clutch applied! Bodyscissors and all!
Kincaid struggling to stay on his feet!
He roars Pulver into the corner!
THE BODYSCISSORS ARE BROKEN BUT THE HOLD STAYS ON!
Kincaid staggers out to the middle of the ring, bringing Pulver with him. He drops down, sending Pulver over not unlike a headlock take over.
BUT HE ROLLS THROUGH AND THE HOLD STAYS ON!
Kincaid wisely gets onto one knee and begins the ascent back to his feet, Pulver does his best to maintain the hold. Kincaid looks around the ringside, then beelines for a corner! He ducks at the last second causing Pulver to hit the top turnbuckle! The hold is broken! Pulver falls backwards into the middle of the ring!
SAM HEWITT
Not the most technically proficient way to break a hold, but a break out nonetheless. Kincaid is free and Pulver may be out!
Kincaid is in the corner, crouched against it trying to regain his composure after being trapped in the hold for a good minute or more. Kincaid begins to pull himself to his feet, Pulver rolls onto his stomach and props himself up onto all fours. Kincaid looks to the crowd - there's a mixed response! He reaches in, grabs Pulver in a rear waist hold and lifts him! Pulver swings back downwards, wrapping his legs around Kincaid's body but the Bullet King catches him! He looks around, ready to sling Pulver back with a wheelbarrow suplex...
BUT PULVER ROLLS THROUGH!
VICTORY ROLL!
Pulver then tries to hook his legs around Kincaid's for a prawn hold, but the veteran manages to upkick one away!
CHAD GOMEZ
Wow! You don't see the prawn hold very often, but Kincaid knew enough to kick that leg away and negate the pin attempt!
SAM HEWITT
It's a very difficult pin to escape from, the best method of escape is before it's even applied.
Pulver gets up first and waylays Kincaid with a European uppercut! Kincaid wobbles down to a knee, Pulver grabs him by the arm and goes to yank him up... but instead it's he that gets yanked!
SHORT ARM LARIAT!
Pulver goes down, but so too does Kincaid. The Bullet King grabs a hold of the arm again and pulls Pulver up to his feet as he himself gets to a vertical base. He wrenches the arm and pulls him in for a DDT, but Pulver hooks his leg to block it. He stomps Kincaid's foot, then unleashes a mighty Northern lights suplex!

2-HE TRANSITIONS INTO A CROSS ARMBREAKER!
Kincaid clamps his hands together, preventing Pulver from pulling it straight into an armbar. Both men hold for a few moments, collecting themselves after the suplex. Pulver then tilts backwards, elevating Kincaid and uses this elevation to bring his foot up and kick Kincaid's right arm away! He pulls the left arm back!
ARMBAR FULLY LOCKED IN!
Kincaid doesn't waste time trying to fight it, he just slings his foot over the bottom rope as quick as possible to break the hold. Pulver breaks clean, Kincaid rolls under the bottom rope and stays there, feeling out his arm. Pulver gets up and waits for Kincaid to move, but it's clear the Bullet King is taking his time. Pulver mentions this to Price, and Kincaid fires back with something that incites Pulver. The Swede goes to grab Kincaid, but he rolls out of the ring with a smile and drops to a knee on the outside. The only problem is, his hand is on the apron. Pulver grabs the top rope and slingshots himself over, aiming to double stomp his hand...
KINCAID MOVES!
Pulver double stomps nothing but apron and favours his leg after doing so, he then gets his feet swept out from underneath him! Pulver hits the apron! He remains there as Kincaid climbs up onto it, then looks down at the Swede. He points to the leg he targeted earlier... "RIGHT!" and then leaps off the apron, driving his elbow into it and shouts "THERE!" as Pulver groans in agony.
SAM HEWITT
Kincaid's mouth has always been an asset to him and whatever he said to Pulver allowed him to turn the tables back in his favour after a cross armbreaker almost ended his evening.
CHAD GOMEZ
Personally, I liked that Pulver was going to double stomp Kincaid's hand on the apron. That's a very Ben Chrenshaw inspired tactic, you're seeing that influence seep into Pulver's repertoire and that can make an expert grappler even more dangerous.
Alex Kincaid slinks back into the ring, Pulver is pulled in from under the bottom rope. He hoists Pulver up onto his shoulders, but the Mat Machine slips out and falls to a knee. Kincaid turns around, eats a forearm shot! Pulver goes to stand up, but gets kicked in the leg! Kincaid scoops him up onto his shoulders again! Pulver elbows his way free and slides out again, rear waist hold! He gets elbowed by Kincaid, but pushes him forward into the ropes...
O'CONNOR ROLL!

KICK OUT!
Kincaid slings Pulver forward and gets up, Pulver tries to attack with a forearm but Kincaid ducks it and grabs the leg...
DRAGON SCREW!
He quickly gets up and grabs both legs, twisting Pulver over onto his stomach!
THE STRAIGHT SHOOTER BOSTON CRAB IS APPLIED!
Pulver reaches for the ropes...
Kincaid pulls him closer to the middle of the ring and moves his body a bit, making it a higher elevation crab. Pulver grimaces with pain...
He reaches out again...
He pushes up off the mat, trying to rock Kincaid off balance... but his energy is nearly spent...
Kincaid yells as he sinks it in deeper...
SAM HEWITT
And the tap!
Kincaid lets go, falling to his knees. Pulver grabs two fistfuls of his own hair and looks clearly frustrated.
SAM HEWITT
Another step closer to redemption for Alex Kincaid, a big time win over Matt Pulver here in the semi final!
Kincaid gets up and walks over to Pulver, offering his hand. Pulver grabs it and Kincaid helps him up, gives him a hug and raises his hand. Pulver shakes his head, then raises Kincaid's arm instead before exiting. Kincaid's wife Alyssa runs down to the ring and embraces her husband as we go to commercial.
