PWGP “CHARGE” is live from ENMAX Centrium in Red Deer, Alberta. We are welcomed to the show by the spokesman for the Buck U Athletic Commision, Robert Fredrick, already in the ring standing next to a covered podium. He informs us over the past two months he has watched how far PWGP has come. We have a PWGP Global Champion, in Eli Buchanan, that we can be proud of. The PWGP Television Championship has become a heavily sought-after prize, with the whole roster lining up to get a shot at it each and every week. It’s time, he says, that we showcase our incredible tag team division.
He lifts the cover off the podium and show all of us the freshly minted PWGP International Tag Team Championships. Robert Fredrick announces that in two weeks' time we will begin a tag team tournament for these championships and is proud to announce that we will see teams in the tournament represented by Lion’s Road, Pollomania, BATTLE Japan and AMLL. The tournament will collimate at PWGP’s next special event, “Golden Road”.
With that announcement, we go to our announce team, Greg Stradford and “Big Bad” Paul Carlyle, who hype the upcoming tournament and speculate on what the tournament brackets will look like. Stradford tells us we have a loaded show ahead of us and sends it to our ring announcer, Nick Christoulos to make the introductions for the opening match.
MATCH 1
“High Five” Jimmy Jive and James Daniels
vs
The Agents of Pain (w/ Saul Asper)
We are reminded that James Daniels is teaming with his estranged father, Jive, because of a loss he suffered to him three weeks ago. Jive looks to start with Agent B, but Daniels tags himself in. Agent B takes advantage of the disharmony between them and takes Daniels down with a cheap shot. He quickly tags in Agent D and the two work over Daniels, while Jive can do nothing but watch.
It looks like the Agents have this match firmly in hand and go for the double team flap jack for the victory only for Daniels to hit a double DDT on them. With the Agents down, there’s a clear path to Jive and Daniels makes the tag. Jimmy Jive comes in like a house of fire, taking both men down with clotheslines and hip tosses. He manages to trip both of them up and stands on both their backs, pretending to surf, much to the delight of the crowd. It looks like he’s about to try to put Agent D away with his finisher, when Daniels decides to tag himself back in to hog the glory.
Frustrated, Jive steps out of the ring while his son yells at him to watch how it’s done. He immediately turns around and eats the Double Flap Jack by the Agents of Pain and Agent D picks up the victory, while Jive stands on the apron in frustration.
Winners: The Agents of Pain
Following the match, the Agents celebrate with Asper in the ring before heading to the back. James Daniels is visibly upset that he was pinned and starts yelling at his father. Jimmy Jive shakes his head and says, “this is on you, Junior,” before departing from the ring, leaving his son alone in the ring as we go to break.

When we return from break, we find ourselves in Robert Fredrick’s office with him and his assistant, Deedee Gagne. She’s apologising for allowing things to get out of hand last week and realises she should have known Saul Asper was up to something when he requested that the Unknowns be given a two-on-one handicap match with telling her who their opponent would be. Fredrick tells her it’s ok, knowing very well how tricky Asper first hand can be. The important thing it to move forward and keep PWGP on track.
Speaking of Asper, he arrives with Kraken and demands a non-title match with Eli Buchanan this week. Robert Fredrick informs him the Eli isn’t here this week but will be returning next week for a match. Fredrick tells Asper that he already has a planned match for Kraken though. It would seem that the Unknown 7 is unhappy with how Kraken has been treating his brethren over the last few weeks and wants a match with him tonight. Kraken and Asper laugh at the idea and agree to the match before leaving to get ready.

MATCH 2
Television #1 Contender Fatal Four-Way
“Iron” Mack Brody (3 points, w/ Saul Asper)
vs
Alan Hunter (0 points)
vs
Bryant Adam Thompson (1 point)
vs
Moondog Buster (0 points, with The Guru)
We’re told at the beginning of the match that The Technician was intended to be a part of this match but he is still not cleared to compete, so he was replaced by his stablemate, Buster. We’re also remined that because points are always in play in singles matches that this will be an elimination match, so there’s the potential for someone to walk away from this match with three extra point towards challenging for Eli Buchanan’s PWGP Global Championship.
Right off the bat we see Brody and Buster working together as a team against Thompson and Hunter. Alan Hunter is dumped to the outside of the ring as they work over Thompson. Buster tries to go for the cover but Brody breaks it up, wanting that point for himself. At first Buster seems fine with this but when Brody goes for the next cover on Thompson, he breaks that pin attempt up himself. The two begin to argue and their alliance falls apart as they begin to brawl. This leads to Brody levelling Buster with a stiff lariat clothesline and lifts him up for the Iron Cross. He doesn’t see Alan Hunter come in the ring and gets caught with a drop kick. Brody trips over Bryant Adam Thompson and Moondog Buster lands on top of him. Thompson and Hunter pile on top of him and referee, Jose Doe makes the three count.
Eliminated: “Iron” Mack Brody
Brody is absolutely shocked that he’s been eliminated, especially since Moondog Buster is being credited with the fall. While the match continues, he grabs a chair and levels all three of them with it. Robert Fredrick comes down with security and ordered him and Asper to leave, but the damage has already been done.
While officials and security are busy trying to remove Brody from the building, Surf ‘n Turf come out through the crowd and attack Alan Hunter, hitting him with “Into the Sea”, their Power Bomb/Block Buster combo, and pulls Buster on top of him. They escape back into the crowd before Jose Doe turns around. Seeing the pin attempt, Doe makes the three count.
Eliminated: Alan Hunter
Vod and Zaros laugh from the crowd and the announcers speculate that Vlars sent them out here to make sure Hunter didn’t win. Stradford and Carlyle are shocked as well because this makes two points for Buster and if he somehow wins this match that would mean he would get all three available, something no one would ever expect.
The Guru realizes this as well and orders Buster to finish Bryant Adam Thompson off. The Moondog picks Thompson up and goes for a power slam, but Thompson manages to wiggle free. He hits a pelee kick and a spin heel kick. Buster is still groggy from the steel chair shots they had all received, and Thompson quickly capitalized, hitting a standing shooting star press. He quickly followed up with the Bat Outta Hell to pick up the victory and a single point, but more importantly a Televison Title shot next week.
Winner: and PWGP Television Title #1 Contender, Bryant Adam Thompson (2 points)

We return from break to find Saul Asper and Kraken in the ring. Asper brags about how no one in PWGP is as big or powerful as the French-Canadian Colossus. He jokes about what Kraken has done to the Unknowns over the last two weeks and tells Unknown 7 if he doesn’t like what he’s been doing to his buddies, he’s more than welcome to come down and do something about it. Asper yells for a referee and orders Unknown 7 to come out and get beat.
The lights in the arena go out and the crowd starts to cheer. The crowd reaction almost blows the roof off ENMAX Centrium though when the lights come back on and Brutus Smith is standing in the ring with Unknowns 1 and 2 beside him.
MATCH 3
Brutus Smith
vs
Kraken
Saul Asper is absolutely freaking out at the sight of Brute. Referee Andrew Roller calls for the bell and orders everyone not involved in the match out of the ring. Kraken starts yelling at the giant in French and it looks like these two are about to lock up, when Asper jumps up on the apron and orders Kraken to leave with him.
With the crowd booing, Asper yells at Brute and Roller that Kraken will face Brutus Smith on his terms, not when someone else tells him to. As Kraken and Asper leave, Andrew Roller begins the count, as the masked giant shakes his head. Asper and Kraken are long gone by the time Roller counts ten and awards the victory to Brute.
Winner: by count out, Brutus Smith (1 point)
Greg Stradford reminds us that a blatant count out costs the loser two points instead of the normal one and wonders why Asper would allow that since he’s so intent on taking the PWGP Global Championship from Eli Buchanan. Paul Carlyle echoes Asper’s words, Kraken wasn’t ready for this match, and says Robert Fredrick tricked Kraken into this match.
***
Back from break we find ourselves back in Fredrick’s office. Asper and Kraken barge in and demand to know why Robert Fredrick would book a match with Brutus Smith like that. Fredrick acts as if he’s just as surprised as they are that Unknown 7 was really Brute, as the challenge was brought to him by the Unknowns.
Robert Fredrick states he understands Kraken wasn’t ready for this match and commends him for giving up two points to hold to his beliefs, so here’s what’s going to happen. Next week, Kraken and two partners of his choice will face Brute and the Unknowns. Before Asper starts naming other members of his Army though, Fredrick reminds him that regardless of whether True North Ant successfully defends his Television Championship here tonight or not, he’s booked for next week’s Television Championship match, either in a rematch with Vlars, should he lose tonight, or next week defending it against Bryant Adam Thompson. He also informs Asper and all of us that Mack Brody was suspended for one week for his assault with the chair earlier tonight, and the Agents of Pain are scheduled for an eight-man tag team match next week. This means that Kraken will have to find partners elsewhere, and there’s not a whole lot of people who like Asper’s Army these days.
Saul Asper is taken back by all this, clearly not having remembering the count out rule in PWGP, not to mention the fact he will have to find two partners to team with Kraken next week not associated with the Army. The two of them leave in a huff and Robert Fredrick tells Deedee that’s how you handle Asper and his goons.
***
Prior to the next match we see highlights from last week. First, we see the debut of BOB, the green-faced bruiser, as he brutalized Thing Dos. From there is clips of last week’s main event, where it appeared Faititili was about to regain the Television Championship from True North Ant. BOB arrives to lay him out with a big boot and a splash, allowing TNA to retain.
Faititli comes out with Thing Uno for the next match. We’re told by Greg Stradford that Thing Dos is not medically cleared to compete tonight, but hopefully will be when the International Tag Team Tournament begins in two weeks. Faititli jumped at the opportunity to take Dos’s place because it meant he could get his hands on one of the men coming out next.
The Guru leads out Moondog Runt and BOB. The manager doesn’t even try to contain his two clients. He simply points at the ring and BOB and Runt charge right into battle.
MATCH 4
Faititli and Thing Uno
vs
BOB and Moondog Runt
Right off the bat it’s clear this match is going to get out of hand real fast. Faititli and Thing Uno’s anger just isn’t enough to deal with BOB’s raw power. He tosses the former Televison Champion out of the ring, then he and Runt work over Thing Uno. Even though neither of them speaks, Runt and BOB seem to be able to communicate somehow and their combination of power and fury melds well together.
Runt seems to enjoy being tossed around as a weapon by his partner, but continuously going back to the well with the tactic eventually worked out against them. BOB would throw Runt at Thing Uno in the corner, only for the Dr Seuss reject to manage to get out of the way, resulting in Runt hitting the top turnbuckle face first. This would allow Uno to finally tag in Faititili, who levels Runt with a jumping headbutt before going right after BOB with absolutely no fear.
BOB was temporarily taken back by Faititili’s intensity and the fight spelled out to the floor. It was short lived though as BOB caught the Samoan warrior attempting to hit a plancha and tossed him into the second row. BOB would roll back into the ring, where Runt and Uno were fighting, and grabbing Uno by the mask started headbutting the back of his head, while screamed out this name. Runt would hit his running battering ram headbutt to Uno’s chest while this was happening, and Uno would collapse to the mat. BOB picked Runt up and dropped him right on top of Uno and then hit a running splash as his partner rolled out of the way of danger.
By the time Faititili managed to climb out of the crowd, the match was over, but it was clear by the way he glared at BOB as he was escorted away by his manager and partner.
Winners: BOB and Moondog Runt
***
We return from break to find out the Guru celebrating with his men. Deedee arrives and informs him that she and Robert Fredrick have been told by the BUAC to keep the action in the ring and they’re not pleased with how BOB endangering the fans by throwing Faititili amongst them. The Guru promises it won’t happen again and Deedee says we’ll see about that because next week BOB will face off one-on-one with Faititili and if we see a repeat of what happened tonight, BOB will be fired from PWGP.
As she walks away, the Guru mutters something under his breath and then leads his men off to get something to eat.
***
Stradford and Carlyle are shocked by this announcement and put over how stacked next week’s card already is, including an eight-man tag team match, Brute and Kraken facing off in a six-man tag team match, a Television Title match, the return of PWGP Global Champion, Eli Buchanan, and now the addition of this BOB vs Faititili. Carlyle suggests Robert Fredrick double up on the security next week because he predicts they’re going to need it.
Vlars comes out to the ring, flanked by Surf ‘n Turf, which indicates we’re ready for tonight’s main event. Television Champion, True North Ant, along with Saul Asper, is out next. Before the match can begin though, Robert Fredrick appears on the big screen. He tells both men he won’t keep them long, as they have a Television Title match to compete in. We are informed by Fredrick that because of TNA’s petition from last week, Jose Doe will not be officiating tonight’s match tonight, nor is he allowed at ringside during the match. However, Fredrick asked Doe who he thought should officiate this match and he truly loves his pick.
Alan Hunter’s theme music starts to play and he comes out wearing a referee’s shirt. Both True North Ant and Vlars are livid by this decision. We’re reminded off how Vlars’s assault on Hunter two weeks ago cost him the Televison Title, not to mention defeating him last week to become number one contender. We’re also reminded by Stradford about the underhanded tactics True North Ant used to defeat Hunter two weeks ago in the tournament final. If there’s a perfect referee to oversee a match between these two.
As he gets in the ring we’re told we have to go to one last commercial break before the main event begins.
***
Back from our last break and things are already getting hot and heavy. The match hasn’t even begun yet and already special guest referee, Alan Hunter has kicked Saul Asper and Surf ‘n Turf out from ringside. None of them are willing to leave until the East K Connection arrive, brandishing chairs, which causes all three of them to quickly return to the back.

MATCH 5
Television Title Match
True North Ant (champion, 4 points)
vs
Vlars
Neither men are reluctant to begin the match with Alan Hunter overseeing it. When they do finally lock up, Vlars pushes TNA into the corner and Hunter forcibly makes him back up when he won’t listen to his instructions to back off and let him out. A similar scene happens a few minutes later, when True North Ant has the “puke bucket god” pressed up against the ropes and Hunter forces him to back away.
The match went back and forth, with neither competitor able to maintain control for very long. Both Vlars and True North Ant would spend just as much time mouthing off to Hunter as they did attempting to beat each other. When Vlars attempted to pin TNA with his feet on the ropes, following a spine buster, Hunter would kick his feet off the ropes. This led to Vlars finally having enough and got right into his rival’s face, only for Hunter to point out that the Television Time Limit was quickly fading away for him. Vlars would pretend to go back after the champion, only to turn around to attack Hunter, who in turn was ready with a super kick.
True North Ant immediately took advantage of what happened and hit a stiff clothesline on Vlars, following up with the Red River Plunge. Hunter refused to count the pin though, as he had attacked Vlars with the kick. This led to TNA shoving him and getting hit with a super kick of his own, which knocked him on top of Vlars. Alan Hunter decided to count the pin fall this time and awarded a knocked out True North Ant the victory.
Winner: and still PWGP Television Champion, True North Ant (6 points)
As Alan Hunter exits the ring, leaving TNA and Vlars to recover, a camera takes us to Robert Fredrick’s office. He speaks to someone off camera, indication that wasn’t exactly how he thought things would turn out but can’t fault Hunter for his actions. Unfortunately, that he could see how Vlars would be right in demanding a rematch for the title.
The camera turns to the man standing beside him, the new number one contender for the Television Championship, Bryant Adam Thompson. He tells Fredrick he’s perfectly fine if he wants to add Vlars to next week’s match. In fact, why doesn’t he add Alan Hunter as well, just so when he wins the title there won’t be any question that he’s the true Television Champion.
Robert Fredrick seems to like this idea and says he’ll make it official once given approval by the BUAC. We’re left with this huge announcement as we go off the air for the week.
So in the meantime, and in between time… good night, God bless and may the Force be with you.
He lifts the cover off the podium and show all of us the freshly minted PWGP International Tag Team Championships.
