We open to the King of Lions, Alexander Irvine walking onto the scene. He wears aviator sunglasses, blue jeans and black workmen's boots. Perhaps most notable is what he's wearing on his chest - the new "Year of the Wolf" t-shirt, but it's obvious that it was fitted for him before he decided to enter bulking season. He wasn't a chiselled statue of granite, finely chipped away to produce the ideal human form. Irvine looked like he was the piece of granite. He had already put on fifteen pounds since destroying Cutlass in December, he had put on an extra ten since hitting Whitaker so hard he could almost have held Carl’s liver in his hand. He moved like the alpha of a pack, scars and old wounds tattered his body from all the battles with the weaker, younger wrestlers who desired not just the titles he’s held, but the position as the measuring stick. The mantle of being the soul of Lion’s Road. The long shot of Irvine is now obvious as Becky Chande railroads him, stopping him in his tracks.

BECKY CHANDE
Hi, Alex.

Irvine removes his sunglasses.

BECKY CHANDE
We haven't heard from you since your double knockout with Carl Whitaker back in Detroit. Any thoughts on that, or your match tonight?

Irvine stares into the camera.

ALEXANDER IRVINE
Becky... Jeremy Squire is going to be beaten so badly that the Laurentide Athletic Commission will regret even allowing it.

Irvine puts his sunglasses on and continues walking down the hall.

BECKY CHANDE
Short and sweet, fans. Let's hope that's not the case for his match - for Squire's sake. That's up next after the break...

JAKE AARONS
Ladies and gentlemen, this bout is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first from Providence, Rhode Island! He weighs in at one hundred and ninety five pounds... THE ELECTRIC JEREMY SQUIRE!

Squire asks if he should keep his sunglasses on while he beats that ass.

JAKE AARONS
His opponent from Keokuk, Iowa! He weighs in at two hundred and fifteen pounds... THE UNNATURAL ALEXANDER IRVINE!

The King of Lions ditches his Year of the Wolf t-shirt.

JAKE AARONS
Your referee for this bout is Brian Shelzi!

The fans give Shelzi a nice little pop in his first match back in Lion's Road in a month or two. He calls for the bell and the King of Lions decks Squire, sending those sunglasses into the crowd. He grabs the three time slapboxing champion (in the light middleweight division) in a clinch as he backs him into a corner and begins unleashing knee after knee.

CHAD GOMEZ
Why make this match?

SAM HEWITT
Simple. Irvine was due a match, an open contract was sent out and Squire signed it first.

CHAD GOMEZ
He picked an unlucky day to steal someone's mail.

Squire finally drops to the mat and Shelzi steps in to stop it. Irvine stomps around the ring after officials handle Squire and help remove him from the ring. Irvine’s chest his coated in droplets of blood that splashed from Squire’s body. He walks over to the side of the ring and demands for a microphone to be brought to him with his title. When they both are, Irvine slings the championship over his right shoulder and grips the mic so tightly in his left hand that the crinkling of the leather from his glove can be heard through the speakers.

ALEXANDER IRVINE
This is what happens when I get put in the ring with someone so beneath me that they aren’t even worthy to clean AJ Knight’s jock strap. When they aren’t good enough to handle wrestling Edward’s laundry into the machine.

Boos can be heard pouring from the rafters of the area, showering Irvine with hate and discontent that only causes his smirk to manifest into a smile. He points to the fans.

ALEXANDER IRVINE
Rally behind these nobodies all you want. Edward’s won by a count out. Fine. But he couldn’t retain the Heritage Title weeks later against some retard called the Bullet King.

More boos ensue and Irvine’s laugh picks up on the PA system.

ALEXANDER IRVINE
AJ Knight apparently wants to bad mouth me on one of those websites. Twatbag.com, ChildrenoftheKnight.com, Ass.Jammers.to.Knight.com? But then he gets bested by the only remnant of The Midnight Horsemen. Back whatever “hero” you want to see next. But just remember, night after night, as I break them apart. Piece by fucking piece and mount their skulls upon these turnbuckles, that you sent them to their doom. Because deep down, all of you like the chaos a bring to this ring.

He tosses the microphone to one of the stagehands and drops to the mat, rolling out underneath the bottom rope and slowly making his way up the aisle.

Becky called it - short and sweet.

MANDEVILLE NELSON
Last week we saw the return of “Serious” Justin Seville, who won his return match by technical submission at the end of a gruelling Gauntlet match which saw AJ Knight lose a lot of blood and fight valiantly. At this time, I would like to welcome.... Justin Seville.

Justin Seville walks into the frame and the crowd reacts quite negatively. Once Seville steps into frame it is clear why. Seville has a “New Ace of Lion’s Road” T-shirt on. Much like the one AJ Knight wore just last week. Nelson seems to eye it but ultimately does not comment on it.

MANDEVILLE NELSON
Hello, Justin. It is nice to have you back here in Lion's Road, but how do you feel about it?

Seville grins at the question. He inhales and exhales deeply before replying.

JUSTIN SEVILLE
Mandeville, it's great. It's really... great. When I lost to Pulver back in November, I felt disgraced. There was a clear hole in my game, perhaps several. That needed my immediate attention. It needed my focus. Last week though, last week I returned with a vengeance. I taught everyone a lesson last week. That lesson being that Justin Seville is perhaps the most dangerous man in Lion’s Road. Just ask AJ Knight.

Mandeville Nelson seems to become a bit anxious from the words of Seville. Regardless, he continues.

MANDEVILLE NELSON
Speaking of AJ Knight, that young man gave one hell of a performance last Thursday night. He defeated both David Troy and Ben Chrenshaw before ultimately falling to you. Many believe he almost had the match won, if it had not been for the amount of blood he lost.

Seville rolls his eyes.

JUSTIN SEVILLE
It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter that AJ Knight started that Gauntlet and defeated two other men. It was AJ Knight’s own decision to place himself in the match first. A decision driven by AJ Knight’s ego. He wanted to show he was the best. That he could finally step out of the shadows since the GREAT Julian Cutlass had left. AJ Knight has already decided he was the heir to the throne. But he was wrong.

Again, Nelson looks increasingly uneasy by Seville’s comments.

MANDEVILLE NELSON
Many have questioned your actions, primarily post-match. Many have argued that you would have ended AJ Knight’s career if it was not for Ben Chrenshaw intervening. In fact, you narrowly avoided fines and suspension for your actions.

Seville looks disengaged. He gives Mandeville Nelson a look that suggests he wouldn't give a damn if he was suspended or fined.

JUSTIN SEVILLE
Make no mistake about it. If Ben Chrenshaw hadn't grown a conscience in the last few months, after last week, Lion’s Road would be planning a “A best of AJ Knight”. A career “in memoriam”, if you will. AJ Knight is lucky he can still walk.

His words are chilling, but unapologetic. He delivers them with such a stone-cold tone that it just makes your skin crawl.

AJ KNIGHT
You know something baldy? You need to pick your battles a little bit better.

The audience pops as AJ steps through the curtain with a microphone, which only increases the tension of the situation as his eyes meet with Seville. He's smirking but the mask is paper thin, the anger beneath the surface is evident

AJ KNIGHT
Let's review what happened last week. I fought two matches one right after the other. Defeating two top contenders, one of whom I beat in under 5 minutes. Then this asshole shows up and uses every dirty trick in the book, and I still take the fight to him and still nearly put him down! You know what though? Credit where it's due Justin you got one over on me last week. See at least one of us is enough of a man to handle a loss!

Seville glares at AJ who responds by using his middle finger to scratch his eye, a gesture which does not escape either Nelson nor Seville who looks even angrier.

AJ KNIGHT
Now let me tell you something though, while I don't have a problem with losing a match, do you want to know what I do have a problem with? You trying to break my neck! Listen Justin, you've always been an opportunist. You'll take advantage of any situation to get ahead, I know that. You did that to Pulver too. But see there's a different between me and Matt, which brings me to my original point, you need to pick your battles better...

There's a tense pause, as AJ Knight gets in his face

AJ KNIGHT
Because unlike Pulver, I'm willing to take an eye for an eye. I'm willing to go as far as I have to go to be rid of you. Just ask Hammerstein why he was scared to show his face around here for the last several months. Justin you said you wanted to make a statement? You wanted to prove you're the most dangerous man in Lion's Road? Why don't you prove it? Here I am, make your statement Justin. Show everyone how dangerous you are. Or can't you do it? Can't you do it when I'm fresh, when I'm looking you right in the eye?

AJ and Seville are nose to nose...

AJ KNIGHT
I'm going to tell you what I told you before War Games. If you're going to swing, swing. But you better make your first punch a damn good one, because if I'm still standing the next punch will be mine. And you won't be getting back up.

The tension has reached its peak. The audience is buzzing waiting to see what happens next... Seville raises his mic to speak

JUSTIN SEVILLE
If we're doing this it's happening on my time, not yours.

Justin Seville leaves the ringside area as the audience boos loudly, leaving AJ with Nelson

MANDEVILLE NELSON
AJ, last week you had two huge wins and an impressive display of resilience against Justin Seville. However, it was still a loss. Do you regret your bravado in beginning the match?

AJ KNIGHT
No, I don't. Because that's how you make a statement. I swore last week that I would become the New Ace of Lion's Road, and last week I made a statement, I made a strong case for myself. But I still have some work to do it would seem. I'm not there yet, but I promise you I will-

Before AJ can finish that sentence Seville comes behind him through the curtain and decks him in the back of the head! Justin stands over him and takes the microphone from Mandeville Nelson.

JUSTIN SEVILLE
Well, it looks my first punch was a damn good one.

The camera fades out on Seville standing over the unconscious AJ Knight.

We're back from break and the King of Lions Alexander Irvine is shown taking a seat in the sky box with Sam Hewitt and Chad Gomez.

SAM HEWITT
Uh... hello! To what do we owe this?

ALEXANDER IRVINE
You guys flew me in to beat up Squire, I thought I'd amuse myself somehow.

JAKE AARONS
Ladies and gentlemen, this World Tag Team title bout is to be fought under Kingdom Rules over a thirty minute time limit! There are no pinfalls, just submission or knockout! Introducing the challengers at a combined weight of three hundred and eighty nine pounds... MATT PULVER & JAMES EDWARDS!

Pulver raises an arm, Edwards bows.

JAKE AARONS
Introducing the champions! At a combined weight of four hundred and sixty three pounds... CARL WHITAKER! ELI BUCHANAN! THE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS - THE HARDLINERS!

Both men raise their belts.

JAKE AARONS
Your referee for this bout is Xavier Price!

After the prematch rituals are taken care of, Xavier Price calls for the opening bell and two men exit to leave two men inside the ring. Those two men are Matt Pulver and Carl Whitaker and they circle around before tying up, Whitaker sneaks into a rear waist hold but Pulver slips a standing switch and gets behind on Ol' Stonehands. Whitaker tries to do a switch of his own, but Pulver drops to the mat and gets away. The two men lock-up again and Whitaker clamps on a side headlock but only momentarily as he uses it to transition into a hammerlock. However just as quickly as he does that, the World Jr. Heavyweight Champion reverses it into a hammerlock of his own. Whitaker utilizes a drop toe hold as he pulls away. sending Pulver down to the mat. Whitaker hops on top, applying a grounded side headlock. He gets up, headlock still locked in and reaches over to tag in Eli Buchanan who gets a good pop.

SAM HEWITT
The fans come alive as Eli the Red enters the match!

ALEXANDER IRVINE
I'd love to paint him red.

Eli the Red kicks Pulver in the stomach and grabs him by the wrist, sending him into the ropes. On the rebound, Eli grabs him in a front waist hold and drives him into the mat with a belly to belly suplex. Buchanan gets up and pulls Pulver to his feet, he fires off a knife edge chop... then a second... then a third. Pulver drops to a knee but recovers quick enough to interrupt whatever Eli had in mind with a forearm smash! Eli turns away holding his mouth, Pulver crawls over to the corner and tags in James Edwards to a pop. Buchanan turns back, bloodied lip and all and sees a wildfire burning in Edwards' eyes. Edwards charges in and despite Buchanan trying his best to defend, Edwards batters him with palm strikes. He grabs Eli out of the corner and yanks him into a jumping knee smash! Buchanan drops to the mat and rolls out onto the apron, Edwards tries to grab him and pull him back in but he drops to the floor. Whitaker storms into the ring by way of legal tag and grabs Edwards by the head, pulling him up and chucking him into the corner - following that up with a barrage of knees to the gut.

Whitaker is forced to back off by Price, but Edwards stands straight up and looks at Whitaker completely unimpressed. Ol' Stonehands chuckles and gently pushes Price aside before being popped by an Edwards right hand palm strike! Whitaker turns away from the blow but keeps on his feet, Edwards follows it up with a couple more. Whitaker doubles over and Edwards begins beating him with kicks to the arm! Whitaker retreats to a neutral corner where he falls, but Edwards continues the attack with boot scrapes across the face!

ALEXANDER IRVINE
Maybe that will scrape that stupid moustache off his face.

Edwards backs up before the five count, but then unleashes a mighty boot to the face right afterwards. Edwards grabs Whitaker up and leads him over to Pulver where the tag is made, but Whitaker breaks away and heads back toward Buchanan. Or tries to, but Matt Pulver tackles him from behind to prevent him from doing so. He places his feet on Whitaker's calves and hooks the feet around his own legs, then slaps his sides to force Whitaker to give up his arms. Pulver grabs them... leans back...

MEXICAN SURFBOARD!

Whitaker briefly goes up, but Pulver has trouble balancing it and Whitaker crashes back to the mat. Pulver releases the legs and instead jumps into a grounded side headlock, but doesn't stay grounded for long as Whitaker gets up to his feet and elbows his way free. Pulver latches on again, but this time Whitaker backs him up into the ropes and shoots him off. Pulver ducks a right hand from Whitaker and hits the ropes, Edwards tags himself in as Pulver rebounds. Pulver leaps on Whitaker, but the Bull catches him and powerslams him into the mat! Edwards stomps him in the back and Whitaker sits up and eats two kicks to the back, forcing him to his feet in one of the most uncomfortable ways that I can think of. Even on his feet, Edwards winds up and blasts him with a kick to the chest that sends him right back down. Whitaker tries to get to his corner but Edwards begins stomping on him, then pulls him up and throws him into the corner. Buchanan asks where Edwards' belt is and the wildfire gets some more oxygen. He continues the stomping, just going to town. Price's count reaches five and he gets a yellow card, but shows no signs of stopping!

JAKE AARONS
Referee Xavier Price has issued a yellow card to James Edwards, dropping his point total to three.

Price begins counting again, but Pulver storms in and grabs Edwards. Edwards pushes him away, but Pulver swings him around again. Edwards and Pulver go nose to nose after a bit of shoving, Eli Buchanan says something that breaks the tension - at least between the partners - and draws Edwards ire toward him. Edwards starts toward Eli and Pulver thinks on his feet, grabbing Edwards and dumping him out to the floor.

SAM HEWITT
Uh... well, traditionally that would be a yellow card but I don't think there's anything about dumping your partner to the floor.

CHAD GOMEZ
Why should there be? It's an automatic tag. Edwards can't control his temper, so babysitter Pulver had to chuck him into timeout.

ALEXANDER IRVINE
Pulver's gotta ruin everything. All that aggression was starting to get me to like Edwards.

Pulver turns and gets drilled by Whitaker's right hand! Whitaker backs off and let's the count take place.

Edwards dives in and pushes Pulver toward the apron, trying to get him out of the ring so he can take over and allow his partner to recuperate. Whitaker pulls Edwards up to his feet in a rear waist hold and tries to lift him, but Edwards blocks it and elbows his way free. The Burning Heart bounces off the ropes, but Whitaker plants him in the mat with a beautiful Anderson-esque spinebuster! He gets up and pivots, diving for a tag to Eli Buchanan.

CHAD GOMEZ
Bad judgment call by Whitaker to tag Buchanan after the spinebuster - he should've gone for the kill.

SAM HEWITT
He's been in there for a while, I can't fault him for using that opportunity to make the tag even if you're spot on, Chad.

ALEXANDER IRVINE
Whitakers a big bitch, but just like a bull he's starting to run out of gas. Rage and aggression can only carry you so far past your limits.

Buchanan gets up, pulling the Burning Heart up with him and unleashes a knife edge chop! Edwards drops to a knee... Eli pulls him back up and hits a second chop. Edwards drops to a knee and then down to all fours. Buchanan backs up into the ropes and then dives into Edwards with a headbutt directed at the back of his head! Buchanan rolls away feeling the effects of it himself, but Edwards crumbles to the mat from it also. Buchanan crawls to the ropes to help himself up, Edwards begins to do the same. Buchanan comes from behind and chop blocks Edwards' leg out from under him causing him to yelp in pain. Edwards crawls on all fours, trying to get back to his feet. He gets up to one knee, then stands up - only to get dropkicked from behind by Buchanan! Edwards falls forward against the ropes and Eli the Red grabs him, turns him over...

HANGMAN'S NECKBREAKER!

With the Burning Heart planted in the centre of the ring, Buchanan takes advantage of Pulver being down on the floor and uses their corner to begin his ascent. He reaches the top rope and steadies himself, Pulver gets up and tries to stop it but Eli boots him away. Buchanan dives off...

FROG SPLASH!

...

...

NO ONE HOME!

ALEXANDER IRVINE
Idiot.

Edwards rolls away to safety, leaving Buchanan to crash and burn. He looks up, seeking Whitaker... who's got his arm outstretched on the apron waiting for the tag. Edwards begins crawling toward his corner where Pulver has returned to the apron. Whitaker notices this and storms into the ring, knocking Pulver off the apron. Buchanan fights to his feet and grabs Edwards from behind in a double chickenwing and pulls him to his feet. Buchanan tries to unleash the Tiger suplex, but Edwards hooks his feet around the bottom rope. Buchanan lets go and bashes him in the neck with a couple of forearms before grabbing a rear waist hold. He pushes Edwards forward and rolls backwards, right through... GERMAN SUPLEX! The Pandemonium Plex hits! Buchanan struggles to his feet, he pulls Edwards away from the ropes and slaps him in an attempt to wake him up. Elsewhere, Whitaker knees Pulver in the gut and scoops him up. He looks to be going for a slam, but Pulver slips out and pushes him forward. Whitaker crashes into the guardrail and hangs over, Pulver leaps up onto the guardrail...

THEN DOUBLE STOMPS HIS BACK!

Buchanan backs into the corner and crouches down... Edwards begins to stir. Buchanan looks ready to pounce, but Edwards' knee gives out on him and he falls to the mat causing Buchanan to wait again. Edwards angrily gets up once more, Buchanan charges in...

BOMAYE!

Edwards goes down and rolls out of the ring, Buchanan lands close by and attempts to get up, but falls against the middle rope and sees Edwards on the floor. Pulver dives under the bottom rope, runs in and grabs Eli's waist...

ELI HANGS ON!

PULVER GOES FLYING BACKWARDS!

Eli turns around and as soon as Pulver gets up, Eli marches forward with a lariat attempt...

FLYING CROSS ARMBREAKER!

Buchanan immediately does a solid job of defending and stacks Pulver. Using whatever energy he has left, he pulls Pulver up.

HIGH INTO THE AIR!

PULVER TAKES A BIG GAMBLE!

HE LETS GO OFF THE ARM!

HURACANRANA!

HE ROLLS ONTO HIS BACK!

TRIANGLE CHOKE!

Buchanan again tries to power out and almost musters enough energy to do it, but falls back to the mat. Pulver yells as he squeezes tighter, Buchanan's face turning bright red.

HE TAPS!

Pulver lets go and Buchanan gets up, visibly frustrated. He grabs Pulver by the head, despite Price yelling at him to stop. He brings Pulver up to his feet and backs him into the corner and... extends his hand?!

YES!

Pulver looks at him in disbelief but shakes it, Buchanan lets him fall back into the corner as he drops out of the ring and finds Whitaker against the guardrail. He helps his partner to his feet and Whitaker ruffles his partner's hair for doing so.

ALEXANDER IRVINE
What a bunch of idiots.

The two come to James Edwards, who looks up at them. Buchanan gives him a nod and continues on as some stage hands come out to help. Pulver rolls out, grabs Edwards and helps him onto the apron where the duo are presented with their world tag team belts.

SAM HEWITT
Matt Pulver becoming the first person in Lion's Road to hold these belts three different times with three different partners - Kenshin Takamura, La Cucaracha and now James Edwards. For Edwards, this is his third reign as a champion in the Great Lakes area. He's been the Iron Champion, the Heritage Heavyweight Champion and tonight he's one half of the World Tag Team Champions.

ALEXANDER IRVINE
He's lucky to have had Pulver's more easy-going temper to keep him at bay tonight.

CHAD GOMEZ
I didn't think it could be done, James Edwards is a tag team champion. Is the world going to end tomorrow?

SAM HEWITT
It wasn't without the disagreements, he and Pulver got into in this match but luckily for them it didn't hinder their ability to succeed.

ALEXANDER IRVINE
Course I would love to see those two guys tear each other apart.

The last shot before breaking is Pulver and Edwards sitting on the apron with their tag belts in hand. Edwards tries to hop off, but Pulver throws his arm around him and pulls him back to pose for a few more photos.

“THE JULIAN MIGRATION”

(VANCOUVER, BC, CAN) - Julian Cutlass announced on February 4th from inside a wrestling ring in Sapporo, Japan that he had signed a contract to join the roster of Maximum Japan Pro-Wrestling. This decision would result in his final North American tour as a member of Lion’s Road during the Lake Erie Loop, prompting President Mandeville Nelson to announce a three match Farewell Series to take place from February 22nd to March 8th.

The fan reaction proved swift. Tickets to the shows have already sold out, leading Lion’s Road to issue “standing room only” permits up to the venue’s maximum capacity. Sources indicate that nearly 10,000 Canadians will travel south across the border to witness the “Blazin’ King’s” final three matches of Cutlass’ tenure as a member of Lion’s Road , a development some hotels and restaurants have labeled "the Julian Migration".

Some took to social media and voiced displeasure with his decision. But Samantha Grey, a longtime Cutlass fan hailing from Owen Sound, Ontario who has purchased tickets to all three shows summed up her thoughts differently. “I think we all knew this day would come,” she remarked wearing a pajama-sized CUTLASS FAREWELL SERIES commemorative t-shirt, “Julian’s always in search of the next challenge, you know? He reminds us to search for adventure in what we do, and never give up on what we love.”

Fans of pro-wrestling during the late 2000s remember Julian Cutlass, b. Wilmington, North Carolina, as the man who unified the King of Lions Championship and the All-Ontario Heavyweight Championship to become the undisputed champion of the north. When he led the then Owen Sound-based Lion’s Road roster into a feud with the Universal Wrestling League, he received the moniker of “Canada’s adopted son”. Lion’s Road would close its doors after the summer 2007 for nearly a decade, but when it returned in early 2016, Cutlass returned and won the company’s King of Lions Championship. He would hold the title for a record 448 days. During that time he unified titles and won the company’s annual tournament, the Laurentide Cup, while champion. His storied career – not to mention his brief foray into the restaurant business with the FOOD + FACE Grill – made him an icon throughout Canada.

The suddenness of the decision has prompted speculation as to Cutlass’ rationale for the decision. While some have questioned whether his loss of the King of Lions title caused him to move on, according to Lion’s Road Head Trainer Bastian Krull the experience of freelancing in Shining Road Pro-Wrestling during the latter half of 2016 played a major role in Cutlass' decision.

“Watch Julian in those kickboxing exhibitions in Yokohama last summer. He looked fresh,” Krull commented. “Then he wrestled Makoto Ueno to a draw, back when both guys were champion. He wanted a shot at the All-Japan Imperial title bad, but to take the time off to train for it? Not with his schedule back home. And then in the GPWS title tournament last January, losing in the semis to KOSUKE? I knew he was gone right then and there.”

Regardless of the reasons for Julian Cutlass moving onto Japan, the Great Lakes region will no doubt miss watching the adopted son of Canada compete on a nightly basis. It's no wonder that so many thousands of fans have taken vacation for three weeks and traveled to the States to witness this historic event that surrounding hotels and restaurants have started to refer as "the Julian Migration".

When we asked Samantha if she would miss watching him wrestle, she shrugged her shoulders.

“We can still watch him Japan. Subscribe to POLLOVSION! Everyone has the internet, right? Well, everyone except Julian. He's probably not even aware it’s been invented yet.”

Ladies and gentlemen, this main event bout is for the Heritage Heavyweight Championship! It is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing the challenger! He is fighting out of Albany, New York! He weighs in at two hundred and twenty pounds... DEREK DRAVEN!

All that can be heard is the murmurs of the crowd as Derek Draven walks out of the back, a lone figure emerging into view. He walks with purpose to the ring and rolls under the bottom rope before taking his corner.

JAKE AARONS
Introducing the champion! He is fighting out of the Platinum Coast! He weighs in at two hundred and forty pounds... THE HERITAGE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION - ALEX KINCAID!

“I Am” by Hands Like Houses begins to a nice pop, Alex Kincaid walks out with the Heritage Heavyweight title around his waist. His wife, Alyssa gives him a kiss and heads to the back. Kincaid strolls down to the ring, patting his belt several times after he gets on the apron. He unfastens it and climbs through the ropes, he raises it high as he takes his corner.

JAKE AARONS
Your referee for this bout is Cordell Garner!

Cordell Garner checks over the challenger first but comes up with nothing, then heads over to the Heritage Heavyweight Champion Alex Kincaid. He finds nothing out of the ordinary concealed in his attire and takes the strap and holds it up for all to see. He hands it to a stage hand and asks both fighters if they're ready. Draven says yes, Garner turns to ask Kincaid but Draven drives in after him! Kincaid dodges it! The bell sounds as Kincaid blasts Draven with shots to the head! Draven falls against the ropes, grimacing in pain but the Bullet King continues the attack until Garner steps in to separate them. Draven uses this chance to recover and delivers a palm strike to the throat! Draven chuckles as Kincaid falls onto his knees, he whacks him with a palm strike upside the head and surprisingly, Kincaid pops up in an angry frenzy and slaps Draven with such ferocity that he stumbles backwards! Kincaid pushes him back into the corner turnbuckles and the two trade some inaudible trash talk before Garner steps in and pushes Kincaid back into the centre of the ring. Draven stands straight up and the two men stare each other down.

CHAD GOMEZ
Do you feel a chill in the air, Sambo? This feels like a tornado is about to break out.

Kincaid allows Draven to step forward and the two lock-up, after some jockeying for position - Kincaid counters Draven's attempt at a headbutt into a side headlock. Draven backs him up into the ropes and goes to shoot him out, but instead lifts him up and slams him down into the mat with a backdrop suplex! Kincaid rolls onto his side and stumbles to his feet, Draven is a bit slower to his feet and eats a running knee lift as a result. Draven goes down and Kincaid turns back, trying to calm his breathing down a bit as he reaches down and pulls Draven up off the mat. Draven wraps his hands around Kincaid's head and drives his own skull into it. Kincaid staggers backwards and falls through the ropes, Draven rubs his head in pain but crawls toward the ropes and rolls out after him. Garner begins his ten count inside the ring. Draven grabs the Bullet King and stuffs him between his legs, looking for a piledriver on the floor. Kincaid begins to counter it, but Draven clubs him in the back several times with his forearm to prevent it. Kincaid falls to the ground and Draven opts to stomp him down instead. Draven grabs Kincaid and smacks him off the apron before hoisting him up on it and rolling him back inside.

SAM HEWITT
Both men narrowly avoiding a potential serious injury out on the floor. You see it yourself, fans, there's no mats out there. The Laurentide Athletic Commission and Lion's Road does all it can to try and dissuade fighters from leaving the ring, but there are some that simply don't care. The risk of injury is irrelevant with a W and a paycheck in sight.

Draven is yanked inside by Kincaid, who clamps on a front chancery and drags him into the centre of the ring. Draven tries to pull free, but Kincaid drops to his knees with the hold in tight. Feeling Draven has been drained of some energy, Kincaid stands up and hooks him up for a suplex... and lifts him high into the air. Draven pops Kincaid in the mouth with his hand and Kincaid staggers backwards, dropping Draven in the process. The Pariah lands on his knees and stumbles toward the Bullet King, backed into a corner. Draven slams his arm into Kincaid's neck and chest area, a well placed lariat with such impact that Kincaid staggers forward. Derek Draven shoves him back into the corner and hoists him up onto the top rope, the Pariah climbs up onto the second rope. Kincaid tries to defend himself and manages to knock Draven off the ropes to the mat but eats a headbutt for his struggles. Draven climbs back up onto the middle rope, but once more the Bullet King succeeds in disrupting whatever he had in mind - knocking him back down to the mat. Draven gets up, a bit frustrated and walks right into a diving elbow to the dome. Kincaid lands on his feet but falls to his knees as Draven timbers to the mat.

SAM HEWITT
Beautiful diving twelve to six elbow from the top finds it's mark in the centre of the challenger's head!

Kincaid crawls on top.

NO!

The Champion pulls his challenger up to his feet and uses a European uppercut to send Draven backwards into the ropes. He then targets the leg, grabbing the right one and attempting to pull Draven into the centre of the ring. The Pariah has other ideas and hangs onto the ropes. Kincaid lets go and begins pummelling Draven, knocking him down to his knees. Draven headbutts Kincaid in the solar plexus which sends the champion back into the middle of the ring. Draven gets back up and charges...

KINCAID WITH A FOREARM!

SAM HEWITT
Oof! He may have rocked him with that shot!

Draven twirls around from the shot, Kincaid grabs him...

JUMPING NECKBREAKER!

Garner quickly checks out both men and then begins his ten count.

Both men start stirring.

6...

Kincaid gets up first.

7...

8...

Draven's up on one knee, Kincaid grabs him by the arm and pulls him in for a lariat. Draven ducks and headbutts Kincaid in the back of the head, then forearm smashes him in the back to knock him flat onto the mat. Draven falls back into the ropes from the headbutt and takes a few deep breaths before running forward and double stomping Kincaid in the lower back. The champion howls in pain as Draven falls on all fours next to him. The challenger gets up and grabs Kincaid off his hands and knees, pulling him between his legs...

CHAD GOMEZ
He's got him this t--maybe not.

Kincaid charges him into the corner! He grabs Draven and delivers the short arm lariat! Draven falls but Kincaid holds onto him and yanks him back up before he hoists him onto his shoulders in a fireman's carry! Draven delivers several elbows to the side of Kincaid's head to prevent him from hitting the Finishing Touch. Draven grabs Kincaid and snaps off a swinging neckbreaker! He covers!

Draven grabs Kincaid's throat and begins choking him! Garner begins the five count and Draven releases at four and stands up, he stomps Kincaid's head before Garner forces him to back up. The stomp seems to fuel Kincaid's depleting energy tank as he gets up, dazed and confused but ready to go. Draven smiles as he kicks Kincaid in the gut...

BUT THE BULLET KING RAGES FORWARD!

SAM HEWITT
The champion will not be deterred! He says they're both challengers until he makes this first defense!

CHAD GOMEZ
Doesn't get a rematch clause until he makes the first defense either!

A knee to the gut of Draven doubles him over, Kincaid throws him down onto the mat and grabs him in a rear waist hold.

LLEWELLYN LIFT!?

Draven hooks his leg around Kincaid's to block it, but Kincaid lets go and smashes him in the back of the head and reapplies the waist hold. He gets Draven up but drops him suddenly. Draven turns around and brings him in...

SNAP PILEDRIVER!

Kincaid folds like an accordion!

Draven rolls him onto his back.

3!

The Sandusky is stunned! Draven laughs until it hurts as he rolls off the Bullet King and is handed the Heritage Heavyweight title. Draven stands and admires it, rubbing it a few times.

SAM HEWITT
I missed something, I must've. Why did he drop him?

CHAD GOMEZ
Hang on, Sambo, the production truck is rewinding the tape.

We get a replay from a different angle. Cordell Garner is watching the action closely, but Draven sneakily rams his heel into the groin of Kincaid as he's being lifted up for his signature German suplex, causing the champion to drop him.

SAM HEWITT
Well, there you go fans - clear as day. Draven's foot comes up, hits Kincaid in no man's land and goes unseen. It's subtle, I'll give Draven that.

CHAD GOMEZ
How do you know he did it on purpose?

SAM HEWITT
Call it a hunch, Chad.

Draven is walking up the aisle as Alyssa Kincaid runs past, he smiles creepily at her and turns to hold the belt up as the show fades.
