PWGP “CHARGE” is coming to live from the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa Idaho. Once again the crowd is absolutely electric and we are greeted by our commentary team, Greg Stradford and “Big Bad” Paul Carlyle.
Stradford welcomes everyone watching and greets all our new viewers, bringing up recent deals that PWGP has made to have all “CHARGE” and all their special events shown on Pollovision, who they inked a deal with a few weeks ago, and now the Nitro Network as well. Carlyle states this is great for the company and now more people will get to see his handsome face every week. Stradford also reminded us that the PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament begins this week and we’ll see True North Ant get his contractually obligated rematch when he tries to regain the PWGP Television Championship in the main event. He hands it for to our ring announcer, Nick Christoulos, for the opening match introductions.

MATCH 1
Kraken (5 points, w/ Saul Asper)
vs
Alex Ross
(Referee: Mark Lindsey)
Right at the bell Kraken charged his much smaller opponent and bulldozed right over him. He pulled ross up by the hair and through him in the corner, where he landed several stiff body blows. Grabbing Ross by the throat, the French Canadian Colossus lifted him up and delivered a leg-trap chokeslam and hit a standing splash for good measure before picking up the easy three count for the win.
Winner: Kraken (6 points)
The announcers put over the dominant performance we’ve just seen here tonight. Carlyle states it’s obvious Kraken was sending a message to the whole locker room here tonight. No sooner has he said this, the lights in the Ford Idaho Center flicker off and when they come back up, Brutus Smith and a disorientated Tony Columbo are standing in the ring directly across from the French Canadian Colossus and his manager, Saul Asper.
The crowd comes unglued at the sight. The two big men look ready to come to blows, but Asper backs his client out of the ring. The crowd boos, but Asper is yelling that we won’t see Kraken face Brute until he says so. We go to break with Smith and Columbo taunting Kraken from the ring as Asper slowly back him up the ramp.
***
Back from break we find Kraken pacing back and forth on the stage at the top of the entrance ramp. Saul Asper is doing his best to contain him, even calling out the Agents of Pain to help him as the next match is set to begin.
MATCH 2
Brutus Smith (1 point, w/ Tony Columbo)
vs
Roy Cecil and Aaron Risbey
(Referee: Jose Doe)
Wisely, Brute’s two opponents attempt to attack him at the same time, each grabbing a leg. Brute chops them both across the back and rams their heads together. Knowing very well that Kraken is watching from the entrance way, Brute tosses both men around, showcasing his gigantic power, before whipping them both into the corner and using his large posterior to repeatedly squashing them against the turnbuckles. He hip tosses Cecil out of the corner before pointing at Kraken and hip tossing Risbey over his partner. Done playing games, Brute steps on Roy Cecil to get to Aaron Risbey. He picks both men up by their throats and hits a colossal double chokeslam, pinning them both at the same time. The fans chant “I Am Brute” in sync with the referee’s three count.
Winner: Brutus Smith (3 points)
The announcers once again put over the performance here. It’s clear Brute could have ended this match far more quickly if he wished but he obviously was sending a message to Kraken. Paul Carlyle accuses Brute of trying to one up the French Canadian Colossus by facing two opponents here tonight, with Stradford what we’ll see next from these two men.

In his office, we see the spokesman for the Buck U Athletic Commission, Robert Fredrick watch what has just went down on the monitor with a deal of satisfaction. He tells his assistant, Deedee Gagnon, to book these two in matches again next week and let them pick as many opponents as they like.
As she leaves, Vlars and Alan Hunter enter, looking wearily at one another. Fredrick thanks them for coming. He informs them that the BUAC is growing tired of their antics as of late, costing each other matches and going after one another with weapons. Robert Fredrick says he sees a lot of potential in them though, believing they both could be Global Champion someday. Eli Buchanan has been harassing his office for a challenger and while neither of them currently have any points, he wants to give them both a chance. Therefore Vlars and Hunter will face off in a best of three series, with the winner receiving five points and a non-title match against Eli and as they should know by now, if the winner defeats him that would give them the remaining five points needed to receive a Global Title shot. The catch is he and the BUAC are watching them both and if either of them get disqualified they’ll be suspended for ninety days. He tells them not to let him down and they leave while glaring at one another.
***
Back from break, we find ourselves in the Asper Army locker room. A returning “Iron” Mack Brody and True North Ant are both furious after hearing the offer Robert Fredrick made to Vlars and Alan Hunter, particularly since both of them are sitting with five points and a non-title victory over Eli Buchanan would give them the points they need to challenge for the Global Title. Saul Asper tries to calm them down, reminding the plan is for Kraken to become Global Champion and they need to be ready to make sure the other parts of their grand plan going accordingly. TNA balks at the idea, stating he’s going to retain the Television Championship tonight and Asper tries to sooth his ego at bit, reassuring him that he knows it will happen, but just in case he gets screwed out of the victory, like he was last week, they need to keep the contingency plan in mind. This seems to soothe both of the competitors and Brody goes back to helping True North Ant warm up for his match.

We go down to the ring and Nick Christoulos announces that the first match in the tournament to crown the inaugural PWGP International Tag Team Titles is about to begin and he introduces the participants.
MATCH 3
PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament Opening Round
The Demon Brigade (GRIM and Jin Hirai, representing BATTLE Japan and Max-J)
vs
The Unknowns
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
Before the opening bell Greg Stradford informs us that originally it was supposed to be Things Uno and Dos participating in this match, but Thing Dos is still not medically cleared to compete after the beating he suffered at the hands of BOB three weeks ago. Therefore the Unknowns have taken their place in the tournament. Paul Carlyle states he doesn’t envy them, reminding us how nasty GRIM can be and pointing out what he’s apparently done to Jin Hirai, who the last time he was seen had dreadlocks and danced around the ring; now his head was shaved bald and had a blank expression on his face, as if he was under some sort of spill..
Once the bell rang, Jin seemed to come to life. He hit a running drop kick on Unknown 1 that sent him flying back into his own corner. Before Unknown 2 could do anything he was suddenly knocked off the ring apron by Jin with such force that he crashed into the barricade at ringside. Jin would stomp away on Unknown 1 in the corner until his master, GRIM, called out to him and he dragged the masked man back to his corner for the tag.
Once in, GRIM began working over Unknown 1’s left leg, slowly taking it apart with a series of dragon screw leg whips and stiff shots to the knee. He would tag Jin back in, who once again would go after his opponent with such intensity that Andrew Roller threatened to disqualify him if he didn’t let up. GRIM would tag back in and continue to work on the Unknown 1’s leg, while Jin paced on the apron.
The finish came when GRIM locked on the GRIM Clutch. He would tag Jin in while still having Unknown 1 locked in the move. Jin would rush into the ring and knock Unknown 2 back off the apron, just seconds after he had managed to get back up, and then running back to his own corner, ascended the top rope and hit a breathtaking Shooting Star Press across Unknown 1’s exposed back. He wasn’t down however, as he would lock in the Rings of Saturn on Unknown 1. With both the Rings of Saturn and the GRIM Clutch on, Unknown 1 had little choice but submit.
Winner: and advancing to the quarterfinals, The Demon Brigade
Following the match, Andrew Roller could not get Jin Hirai off Unknown 1. It wasn’t until GRIM ordered him to release his beaten foe that Jin finally released the Rings of Saturn.
The announcers were shocked at the brutality of what they had just seen and questioned whether anyone could beat this tandem. We’re told the Demon Brigade will face the winners of next week’s match between the East K Connection and the tandem of Jeremy Squire and Paulie Rod. Carlyle suggests that both those teams should just forfeit now and save themselves a beating.
We go to a break while GRIM and Jin continue to celebrate in the ring, standing over their fallen opponents.

MATCH 4
PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament Opening Round
Surf ‘n Turf (Vod and Zaros)
vs
Pierre the Masked Canuck and Jack Holm (representing Lion’s Road)
(Referee: Jose Doe)
As the match begins Greg Stradford tells us it would appear that Surf ‘n Turf have had a falling out with their mentor, Vlars. Carlyle confirms this stating Vlars blames them for him not winning the PWGP Television Championship the last two weeks and they’re hoping to regain favour with him by winning the International Tag Team Title Tournament.
This would seem easier said than done for the rookie tag team their conviction to impress their former mentor was no match in the early goings of the match against of much more seasoned opponents. Despite appearing to be a bit goofy in the head, Pierre worked very well with his more serious going partner, Jack Holm and the pair frustrated their younger opponents with frequent tags and quick offense. It would take some sneaky tactics by the rookies to turn the tide, if you well, in their favour. While Pierre was working over Vod with a arm wringer, Zaros would crawl under the ring. Just as Pierre was about to tag his partner, Zaros would pop out and pull Holm off the apron. This allowed Vod to capitalize and level the crazy Canuck with a huge clothesline.
For the next several minutes Surf ‘n Turf would work over Pierre, making frequent tags of their own and getting ready to set him up for their finisher, Into the Sea (a combination Power Bomb and Top Rope Blockbuster). The rookies would overplay their hand, looking for a double back body drop, only for Pierre to hit a double DDT and make the tag to Holm before they could stop him.
Holm came in like a house of fire, taking down both Zaros and Vod down. He would use his mat skills to ground both members of Surf ‘n Turf and caught Zaros with a bridging belly to belly suplex for a near fall, only for Vod to break up the pin. Pierre would climb back into help his partner and for a brief moment it was a four man brawl. In the confusion, Jack Holm was tossed from the ring by Vod and the monster from the deep sea would blindside Pierre. Surf ‘n Turf would waste no further time hitting Into the Sea and picking up the victory.
Winners: and advancing to the quarterfinals, Surf ‘n Turf
Vod and Zaros quickly escaped left the ring, while Holm argued with Jose Doe that he, not Pierre, was the legal man. Doe could only throw up his hands and shrug, obviously realizing confused.
Meanwhile True North Ant decided to come out with his manager, Saul Asper. The two of them would mock Doe as he left the ring, obviously pleased they wouldn’t have to worry about him officiating the next match. As we go to break we see them laughing at him as he heads to the back.
***
Back from the break and we’re informed by Stradford and Carlye that next week Robert Fredrick will make a decision over what we saw in the last match, but next week’s show is proving to be will be jam packed with seven match. Vlars will face off with Alana Hunter in the first of their best of five series, Brutus Smith and Kraken will each be in singles action, there will be two more opening round matches in the tag team tournament, former Television Champion, Faititili will face off with BOB in a lumberjack match, and a yet to be announced Television Title Match in the main event.
True North Ant is standing in the ring with Saul Asper, joking with one another. Television Champion Bryant Adam Thompson’s music starts to play, but he doesn’t come out. After a few minutes of confusion a camera finally track him down in the back, lying face down on the floor. Trainers quickly rush in to check on him, but there seems to be a lot of confusion over what has just happened, as no one saw who attacked Thompson.
We’re told we need to take our last commercial break while they try to sort all this out, don’t go anywhere.
***
Back from break we see that Thompson is thankfully sitting up but it’s obvious he’s in no shape to compete here tonight. Robert Fredrick appears on the big screen and announces that because he cannot compete tonight and because the Television Championship must be defended every week as per BUAC ruling, he has no choice but award the title to True North Ant via foreit.
NEW PWGP Television Champion: via forfeit, True North Ant (6 points)
True North Ant and Asper are ecstatic over the ruling, but as he’s handed the title Fredrick tells not to get too excited. Despite the fact there is no video proof to back up his suspicions, he knows that Asper’s Army was behind this attack and thinks it’s odd that none of the other members of the group can be found anywhere. Therefore next week Bryant Adam Thompson will get his rematch. Robert Fredrick tells TNA not to go anywhere though, because he’s still go an opponent for him to face.
“New Orleans is Sinking” begins to play and the crowd goes absolutely wild as PWGP Global Champion, “The Last Dragon” Eli Buchanan comes out. Asper seems shocked at this development, but TNA is chomping at the bit to go.

MATCH 5
Non-Title Bout
Eli Buchanan (PWGP Global Champion)
vs
True North Ant (PWGP Television Champion, 6 points, w/ Saul Asper)
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
True North Ant rolls out of the ring to meet Eli on the ramp and the two of them begin brawling. Meanwhile, Saul Asper is frantically on his phone attempting to call someone and yelling at Greg Stradford about how there is lousy cell phone service in the arena. Eli gets the better of the exchange on the ramp and tosses his former fellow member of the Canadian Embassy Misfits back into the ring and slides in after him.
Greg Stradford points out that maybe True North Ant’s tactic wasn’t the best plan to start the match, as Eli hits a huge German suplex. Paul Carlyle says he doesn’t blame him for doing it, he has nothing to lose but a point in this match and if he wins he’s got a guaranteed Global Title Match.
True North Ant pokes Eli in the eye as he goes for a belly to belly suplex. He briefly gets control of the match, clocking Buchanan with a stiff lariat and a series of elbow drops. Meanwhile, Asper is pacing on the ramp, as if he’s waiting for someone to arrive. Back in the ring TNA hits the Manitoba Stampede and sets up for the Red River Plunge. Eli manages to break free and hit a desperation hangman’s neckbreaker. Both men are down and Andrew Roller begins the count.
The crowd begins to boo and the camera turns to show all the other members of Asper’s Army making their way down to ringside. Asper is applauding and points at Eli Buchanan, slowly getting up inside the ring.
Just as they get to the ring the lights go out. When they come back up, Brutus Smith and the Brute Squad are standing in the way of Asper’s Army and a brawl between the two groups breaks out, leading to security rushing out to try to break it up.
Back in the ring Eli tries to scoop True North Ant up for the Chaos Driver, but TNA slips out behind him, shoves him into the turnbuckle and catches him with a lariat clothesline from behind. He goes for the cover, but only gets a two count. He tries again for the Red River Plunge, but Eli blocks it and counters with a Northern lights suplex right into the corner. Eli pulls TNA up and quickly locks both his arms from behind and executes a Tiger suplex with a bridge. Andrew Roller missed this however, because he was too busy getting Asper of the apron. This would allow Mack Brody to roll into the ring and hit Eli with a lariat clothesline during the confusion and pull True North Ant on top of him. When Roller turned around, he saw TNA covering the Global Champion and made the three count.
Winner: PWGP Television Champion, True North Ant (11 points)
The crowd is in absolute shock as TNA quickly escapes from the ring and dashes up the ramp to celebrate with the other members of the Asper’s Army. Inside the ring, Eli Buchanan is slowly sitting up and holding his chin with frustration. Robert Fredrick walks out on stage and True North Ant hands him the Television Title, demanding his Global Title shot next week.
What does this mean for next week’s show? How will we determine a new Television Champion. Can the world survive if True North Ant becomes PWGP Global Champion? Tune in next week to find out!
So… in the meantime, and in between time, good night, God bless and may the Force be with you.
