PWGP “CHARGE” opens with highlights from last week in Saskatoon. The footage is shown of Bryant Adam Thompson distraction the Agents of Pain last week, costing them their opportunity to advance in the International tag Team Title tournament, followed by the video showing The AOP attacking Bryant Adam Thompson two weeks ago. Robert Fredrick informs Asper and AOP Thompson will get an opportunity to regain the Television Title this week and he then kicks all the members of Asper’s Army out of the arena, leaving True North Ant to fend alone. Footage is then shown of BOB defeating his rival, Faititli, in a lumberjack match to become the new Television Champion. Lastly we see Eli Buchanan defending the Global Title against True North Ant. Mack Brody tries to interfere, only to be suplexed by Eli, and the video package ends with Eli Buchanan forcing TNA to tap out to the Koji Clutch.
We go to a shot at the crowd in the Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. Our play-by-play man, Greg Stradford, and lead colour commentator, “Big Bad” Paul Carlyle, welcome us to the show and quickly go over the card for this evening. We will see two more qualifying matches in the PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament, the second match in the best of five series between Vlars and Alan Hunter, and in our main event, BOB defends the PWGP Television Championship against the man who never lost it, Bryant Adam Thompson.
Ring announcer, Nick Christoulos was about to introduce the opening match when “Iron” Mack Brody came rushing out to the ring and Nick was forced to flee for his own safety. Brody demanded that PWGP Global Champion come out and face him like a man right now. Officials and security scrambled to try to contain “Mad Mack” before he could cause any damage. Saul Asper rushed out and tried to come him down, yelling at him to “stick with the plan”, but Brody was having nothing of it and kept yelling for Buchanan to come out.
BUAC spokesman, Robert Fredrick appeared on the big screen and informed all of us that Eli Buchanan was currently in Japan for the next two weeks fulfilling obligations that were signed weeks ago. Having said that, Fredrick is very well aware that Eli Buchanan wants to get his hands on Brody as much as the big Texan wants to get his hands on him, therefore in two weeks time in Winnipeg, Manitoba, we will see Eli Buchanan versus “Iron” Mack Brody in non-title action.
As for tonight, Fredrick would continue, if Brody was looking for a fight, he might have just the man for him. The lights would flicker off and when they came back on Brutus Smith was standing in the ring. The two men looked poised to go at it when Kraken came into the ring and clipped the giant’s knee with a chop block. With the announcers yelling how this was a setup, Kraken and Brody began attacking the big masked man and looked like they would attempt to destroy his knee with a chair when the Brute Squad and the East K Connection arrived to chase them off.
Brute slowly got to his feet with help from his friends, but as he tried to stand on his own the announcers speculated whether or not he was going to be able to compete next week against Kraken with a damaged knee. We’re left for now with Brute pointing a finger at Kraken and company, now standing at the entrance, clearly pleased with themselves.
***
We return to find Brutus Smith still at ringside, refusing to go to the back. He’s sitting on top of the announce table, while a trainer looks at his knee, blocking the view of Stradford and Carlye for our opening contest.
MATCH 1
PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament Opening Round
The Brute Squad (El Hijo del Brute and Brutcito w/ Tony Columbo and Brutus Smith)
vs
O2 (The Big O and Orville Newton)
(Referee: Mark Lindsey)
There’s a few science jokes at the beginning of the match surrounding the team name Pollomania’s Big O and Orville Newton came up with by the announcers. Carlyle suggests Newton must of come up with the name and if he was REALLY smart, he would stay out of the ring and let Big O do most of the fighting since both members of the Brute Squad outweigh Newton by a great deal.
Big O and Brutcito start off, but Big O points to El Hijo del Brute, who tags in and steps over the top rope with ease. The two lock up but neither is able to get a clear advantage over the other and after circling around the ring with the lock up, the two back away from each other and nod in mutual respect. They lock up again but this time Hijo pants a knee into Big O’s midsection and whips him into the ropes. Big O ducks under a clothesline and bouncing off the far ropes hits Hijo with a clothesline of his own that staggers the big man. Big O tries for a second running clothesline but Hijo hits a big boot that causes Big O to fall back into the ropes. Bruticito is tagged back in and to the shock of a few people hits a running dropkick that staggers Big O into his own corner were Orville Newton tags himself in.
Newton tries to lock it up with Bruticito, but the smallest member of the Brute Squad catching him off guard with his amazing agility, taking him down with a pair of arm drags. Newton rolled out of the ring to slow things down, only to turn around and come face to face with Brutus Smith, a man he knows all too well from their time together in Pollomania. He quickly rolled back into the ring and was caught with a third arm drag from Bruticito. El Hijo del Brute was tagged back into the match would whip Newton into the corner and follow up with a running clothesline. The “Son of Brute” would wear Newton down in the corner with a series of knee lifts and a few back elbow shots before tossing him to his own corner and beckoning Big O to come back in and face him again.
As Big O came back in, the announcers questioned this tactic and could only sum it up as Hijo feeling like he had something to prove here. The two larger members of their respective teams locked back up and Hijo backed O into the ropes. He would break the lock up at the count of three but Big O would shove him in response. They would lock up again, this time Big O pushing Hijo into the ropes and slapping him across the face. Hijo would respond with a slap of his own that clearly rocked Big O and tried to follow up with a big boot. Big O would duck it annd kick Hijo in the midsection. To the surprise of everyone, Big O scooped up El Hijo del Brute and slammed him to the mat. He hit a standing splash and went for a cover but only got a two count. Realizing he needed to follow up quickly, O tagged in Newton, who climbed to the top rope. As Hijo stood up Big O launched his partner at him, but the big man caught him and would catch Big O with a boot as he rushed in.
The momentum from the kick would cause Hijo to take a few steps back and Bruticito tagged himself in. As Hijo slammed Newton to the mat, the smaller Brute rushed into the ring and speared Big O and then roll him out of the ring. Showing just how agile he truly is, he climbed to the top rope and with Hijo standing in front of him and grabbing his hands, would hit an assisted Cannonball Splash and go for the cover. 1...2...3...!
Winner: and advancing to the quarterfinals, The Brute Squad.
Following the match, Paul Carlyle joked Newton was going to need some O2 because the Brute Squad just knocked all the oxygen out of him with that move. Brute Smith and Tony entered the ring to celebrate with the Squad before shaking hands with their fallen opponents and making their exit. Stradford pointed out we now know that Surf ’n Turf will face off with the Brute Squad in a few weeks in the quarterfinals and it could be very interesting to see how that match goes and Carlyle stating Vod and Zaros better come up with a great plan otherwise they might get squashed as well.

In the locker room we find James Daniels training. He’s approached by his father, “High Five” Jimmy Jive, who tells him they will be facing the roughneck combination of David Lee Sellers and Duke Womack next week. Daniels laughs when he hears their names, calling them a pair of hasbeens who best days are long behind them, stating he is the future of this business. Jive tries to talk some sense into his son, but his son isn’t listening very well. Eventually Jive loses his cool and slaps Daniels across the face and tells him he better start paying attention to him, otherwise they’ll be out of the tournament and watching some other team go on to become International Tag Team Champions. Daniels is clearly upset from the slap but nods in agreement and the two go off to prepare for next week’s match.

MATCH 2
Best of Five Series (Match 2)
Alan Hunter (1 win)
vs
Vlars (0 wins)
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
Vlars attacks Hunter right off the bell, clearly showing he doesn’t want to end up going down 2-0 in the series and risk being sweeped in next week’s match. He starts pounding away at Hunter in the corner, only for Hunter to fire back and the two of them throwing fists at one another in the middle of the ring. Alan Hunter would begin to get the better of the exchange, slowly backing Vlars up into the far corner, but the “Puke Bucket God”, would grab him by the front of his tights and falling backwards would send Hunter face first right into the middle turnbuckle.
The next several minutes of the match would see Vlars continue to slowly wear Hunter down, concentrating all his attack on Hunter’s upper body. He would get several near falls following a series of swinging neckbreakers. Frustrated, he would toss Alan Hunter out of the ring and whip him into the ringside barricade. Andrew Roller would warn him to bring it back into the ring but Vlars simply mouthed off to him and flipped him off. He picked Alan up and whipped him towards the ring post, but Alan reversed it and Vlars smashed shoulder first into the post.
Exhausted, Alan Hunter rolled into the ring and laid there as Andrew Roller continued the ten count. Roller made it to eight before Vlars rolled back into the ring. By this time though, Alan was up to his feet and firing a series of right hands at Vlars, rocking the so-called god. Vlars would try to kick him low, but Alan caught his foot and dropped him on his back. Vlars would scramble to his feet and would eat a superkick for his troubles.
Seeing his chance to put this match away, Alan called for the Swanton and slowly climbed to the top rope. From his back Vlars shoved Andrew Roller into the ropes with his foot, crotching Hunter on the top turnbuckle. Roller would confront Vlars about this, but Vlars claimed it was an accident. He wasted no further time grabbing Hunter in a cravate and hit a Tower of London version of the Puke Bucket Stunner. He would cover Hunter and hook both legs for the three count.
Winner: Vlars (ties the series 1-1)
Vlars screams in Hunter’s face about how he owns him. Andrew Roller has to force him to leave the ring so he can check on Hunter. Vlars takes to the stage and celebrates as Alan Hunter slowly gets to his feet and glares at him. The Puke Bucket God flips him off before walking to the back.

We return to find the Pollomania duo of MANDINGO and Capt Gill Baits, collectively known as The Pimp and Shrimp Connection, standing in the ring waiting for their opponents. Paul Carlyle groans hearing the team name and states how the name is obviously another one of Baits’ bad puns. Both Carlyle and Stratford have no clue who their opponents are, as neither of them have heard of the team called The Wrecking Brew.
The announcers are still speculating over who the team is when Saul Asper comes out on the stage, followed by the pair of “Iron” Mack Brody and True North Ant. It’s Stradford’s turn to groan but Carlyle loves it, who else but Saul Asper would be smart enough to have a Plan B in this tournament. Stradford wonders if Robert Fredrick and the BUAC knew about this team and Carlyle tells him to be quite and bask in the glory of Asper’s brilliance.
MATCH 3
PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament Opening Round
The Pimp and Shrimp Connection (MANDINGO & Capt Gill Baits)
vs
The Wrecking Brew (“Iron” Mack Brody & True North Ant w/ Saul Asper)
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
Brody and TNA attack right at the bell and dump MANDINGO out of the ring. True North Ant whips Baits into the ropes and Brody nearly takes his head off with a stiff lariat. Baits is dumped out of the ring by Brody, while TNA hopes out and grabs MANDINGO and scoops him up on his shoulder and ramming him back first into the ring post, hits a Manitoba Stampede on the arena floor. True North Ant rolls him into the ring and Brody hoisted him up on his shoulders and TNA hits a flying clothesline from the top rope. Following the Doomsday Device, Brody covers MANDINGO and picks up the swift three count for the easy victory.
Winner: and advancing to the quarterfinals, The Wrecking Brew
The announcers put over the dominant victory by the Wrecking Brew and Carlyle predicts that this team will be our first International Tag Team Champions, pointing out the last time he made such a prediction Eon week one of the series, Eli Buchanan went on to become the Global Champion. Stradford points out that’s not exactly how he put it but agrees that Brody and TNA might just have to be considered the hands on favourites to win the tournament.
The Wrecking Brew and their manager stand victorious over MANDINGO. They depart for the back as trainers come in to check on the Pimp and Shrimp Connection. The fans jeer as they walk up the ramp and continue the celebration on the stage. We take one last week at them before going to the back.

Robert Fredrick shakes his head as he watching from the monitor in his office. Deedee Gagnon apologises to him stating she should have been more diligent about the applications for the tournament but Fredrick tells her not to worry about it since there’s nothing they can do about it now. The two discuss who should be challenge for the Television Championship next week and it’s decided that next week there will be a battle royal next week with the winner facing the Television Champion in the main event. They begin discussing who should be in the battle royal as we move on.
***
We return to ringside where Nick Christoulos is announcing it’s time for tonight’s main event of the evening.
Out first is the challenger and former Television Champion, Bryant Adam Thompson. Greg Stradford reminds us Thompson never lost the championship. Two weeks ago he was to defend the title in a rematch against the man we won the championship from, True North Ant. Before he could, however, he was attacked in the back and his injuries prevented him from the defence. True North Ant was awarded the title via forfeit and later that evening would relinquish the title himself so he could challenge Eli Buchanan for the Global Title last week. Stradford goes on to remind us that it was alter learned TNA’s fellow members of Asper’s Army, the Agents of Pain, who were responsible attack and his was awarded this match tonight to try to get back the belt he never technically lost.
The Guru carries the PWGP Television Title out on his shoulder as he lead out the champion, BOB. Paul Carlyle calls the “Green Faced Phenom” the most destructive force PWGP seen since Kraken debuted. The monster of a man seemed impervious to pain and had been completely unstoppable so far. It was mentioned of the ease with which he won his match last week against Faititli, a man who previously been victorious against many of the best competitors in the company. Carlyle said there was no way Thompson was going to be able to defeat BOB tonight and because he cost them their opportunity to advance the International Tag Team Title Tournament last week, he hoped the Agents of Pain enjoyed watching Thompson get destroyed here tonight.

MATCH 4
Television Title Match
BOB (Champion, 1 point, w/ The Guru)
vs
Bryant Adam Thompson (5 points)
(Referee: Jose Doe)
In the early goings of the match Thompson did his best to use his speed and agility to stay one step ahead of BOB, picking his spots to stick and move, trying to chop the big man down with kicks to his knees and thighs. The strategy seemed to be working, as BOB actually dropped to a knee momentarily, but when Thompson tried to follow up with a flying cross body block, BOB grabbed him right out of the air and slammed him to the mat.
For anyone familiar with BOB’s style, there was absolutely no surprise the tactics we saw from the insane monster from Parts Unknown. He hits a series of body slams before simply tossing Thompson from one corner of the ring to the other. At the Guru’s urging, BOB simply picked Thompson up over his head and tossed him from the ring right onto the announcers table. It didn’t look like Thompson would be able to recover in time to beat Jose Doe’s ten count, but BOB would step over the top rope and toss him back into the ring to continue the assault.
The Notorious B.A.T. finally showed us how he came to have that nickname by raking BOB’s eyes out of desperation, followed by a jawbreaker that actually staggered the big man. Bryant would throw everything he had at BOB, with a series of spin heel kicks and a springboard dropkick, but nothing would take him down. Another springboard attack would be Thompson’s undoing as BOB snatched him out of the air trying to do a flying forearm strike and began headbutting him while yelling out his own name. Thompson began going limp in the big man’s arms and BOB let him drop to the mat. Jose Doe would try to check on Thompson but had to get out of the way as BOB bounced off the ropes and hit a running splash. Doe had little choice but make the three count which mercifully ended the match.
Winner: and still PWGP Television Champion, BOB (3 points)
The Guru laughed as he entered the ring and the announcers once again wondered who, of anyone, was going to be able to put a stop to BOB’s reign of destruction. We could very well be looking at the next PWGP Global Champion.
Stradford and Carlyle were cut off by the arrival of the Agents of Pain, who came sliding into the ring accompanied by Saul Asper. The pair halted when BOB turned his attention to them, holding up their hands defensively and pointing at Thompson. The Guru nodded his understanding and beckoned BOB to come with him to the back as the Agents fell upon Bryant Adam Thompson and began an all out assault.
While Stradford exclaiming this was uncalled for the Agents of Pain picked Thompson up and hit the Flapjack on him. Asper called for one more and the Agents grabbed a table from beneath the ring and set it up in the ring. They readied to put Thompson through it when Faititili came in the ring behind them with a chair and started striking them both with it. The Agents and their manager quickly got out of Dodge, as it were, and started yelling at the Samoan warrior, from the stage, about how he shouldn’t have put his nose in their business. The show went off the air with Faititli standing over Thompson protectively, while trainers check on him and the Agents fumming onstage.
And as always… in the meantime, and in between time, good night, God bless and may the Force be with you.
-Agent D (with Agent B and Saul Asper) defeated Pierre the Masked Canuck with a Baldo Bomb to earn his second point.
-Unknown 1 would defeat Paulie Rod when he switched places with Unknown 2 and pinned Rodd with a small package, earning his first point
-Agent B (with Agent D and Saul Asper) defeated Jack Helm with a Implant DDT to earn his second point
-Faititili and the East K Connection defeated Jeremy Squire and Surf ‘n Turf; Vod and Zaros would end up walking out on Squires, who would fall victim to some Sweet Decapitation.
