Our intrepid reporter Becky Chande stands backstage next to... AJ Knight, proudly wearing his NEW ACE OF LION'S ROAD t-shirt. BECKY CHANDE I am here with AJ Knight who last week made a huge step in cementing his self-proclamation as "new ace of Lion's Road" when he defeated Julian Cutlass in a two of three falls match. Next week, the Crusader will battle the Crippler, Ben Chrenshaw over in Japan for the MAX-J Heavyweight title. I've got to ask, AJ. Have you heard anything about your title challenge you threw out last week?AJ KNIGHT Nothing at all, Beckie Sue. Japan is a different story, though. I've got a huge week of matches lined up for me and of course the most exciting of those is my Heavyweight title match against Ben Chrenshaw. I respect Ben like no one else - I wouldn't be where I am today without him, but rest assured that I'll be bringing that belt back to the US with me. AJ holds his hand up. AJ KNIGHT Before.... before I get there, I've got a problem HERE in the States known as Justin Seville. A man who's been trying to make a name for himself at my expense since he came back, but whenever he gets the chance... he runs! Rest assured, there's no running, hiding and no sneak attacks in Japan... and I won't have just had three matches. Justin, I'm going to embarrass you.AJ finishes and his eyes are caught by a nonchalantly approaching figure - Justin Seville. JUSTIN SEVILLE I want to like you, AJ, I really do. You're a fierce competitor and we've already had a few battles but you continue to make the same mistake, every time. Running your mouth.AJ smirks. JUSTIN SEVILLE You are the first one to talk about honor and valor, but you also have the largest ego in all of Lion’s Road. Congratulations! You FINALLY defeated Julian Cutlass - it only took... two, three, four tries? I lost count. Congratulations though!
He claps sarcastically.
JUSTIN SEVILLE Now we can finally move on to our little... dispute.
Sevile smiles as AJ frowns.
JUSTIN SEVILLE You want to put me down? You want to threaten me. AJ, what happened in our last encounter? A man can only be dropped on his head so many times before one day, he doesn't get back up.
Chande backs away from the two.
AJ KNIGHT But I got up, didn't I? I got you brass knuckles and I sent your sorry ass running to the hills!
AJ laughs. AJ KNIGHT You want to talk about me running my mouth? I'll share some advice my Dad gave me when I was young: the measure of a man isn't in the words they say, but in the actions that follow. Yeah, I talk a lot - I don't think that statement surprises anyone here or watching at home. Everything I say means something, because the world knows that they carry the force of my actions behind them! You talk a big game, Justin... and if I didn't know any better, I'd say you could end my career but the very moment you lose the advantage - you turn tail and run, just like you did two weeks ago. No denying it, you're a dangerous man... but I've dealt with dangerous men. One's who didn't just run when things didn't go their way. Knight pats Seville on the arm, Seville shoves it away. AJ KNIGHTBut you know what though? I'll cut you some slack here, I'm going to let you go until next week. You know why?
AJ has a mischievous smirk on his face.
AJ KNIGHT Because you caught me in a good mood tonight. I mean you know how it feels when you beat Juli--
A shit eating grin creeps across AJ's face, as though his "faux pas" dawns on him at this particular instant - drudging up the issue that started his whole rivalry with Seville in the first place. Seville's face is evidence that he clearly knows where this is going... AJ KNIGHT Oh wait I guess you wouldn't would you?Seville’s seething at this point as he gets right in the face of AJ this time. JUSTIN SEVILLE You’re intent on pushing the envelope just a little bit further. Seeing how far you can get...
Obviously, this doesn’t erase the smirk from AJ’s face and judging by this own reaction, Seville didn’t expect it to. Suddenly, Seville swings a right hand, aiming straight for AJ’s jaw. Knight staggers but remains standing, Seville follows it up but AJ ducks that and returns fire with an uppercut that catches Seville on the chin! Seville stumbles backwards and AJ looks to follow up only for Seville to grab a nearby chair and toss it at him! AJ blocks it, but then grabs it and swings! Seville ducks! Leaving AJ to connect with nothing but wall! AJ drops the chair as security steps between them! The two of them start shouting threats as they are being separated as the camera comes back to ringside. SAM HEWITT Well clearly a volatile issue between these two, that's part of the reason Seville wasn't allowed in the arena last week for fear he'd ruin the match between AJ and Cutlass. Clearly that has only served to exasperate the issue between the two. Hopefully next week in Japan, we'll get some resolution to this.

BRADY ROSSEN Ladies and gentlemen, this bout is to be fought over television time remaining with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first at a combined weight of three hundred and ninety eight pounds! THE MAT WRESTLING MACHINE! MATT PULVER and the CRIPPLER! BEN CHRENSHAW! Chrenshaw adjusts his wrist tape while Pulver steps forward and raises his arm. BRADY ROSSEN Their opponents at a combined weight of four hundred and thirty four pounds! The King of Lions Champion... "THE UNNATURAL" ALEXANDER IRVINE... and the BLAZIN' KING... JULIAN CUTLASS! Cutlass and Irvine exchange a fist bump. BRADY ROSSEN Your referee for this bout is Cordell Garner! Garner waves to the fans and calls both teams into the middle of the ring to go over the rules - one man in, one man out and asks the wrestlers to shake hands if they'd like to. Pulver readily shakes Cutlass' hand and gives Irvine a fist bump. Cutlass extends his hand to Chrenshaw who simply smirks and walks back to his corner. Irvine chuckles and tells Cutlass that he wants to start the bout, prompting Chrenshaw to pat Pulver on the back... SAM HEWITT It looks like Irvine and Chrenshaw - former tag champions - are going to start this one out. There's a huge pop when the crowd realizes the King of Lions is going to tangle with the Crippler to begin this bout! The bell sounds and the two men circle before locking-up. Irvine pulls a side headlock out of the grapple and Chrenshaw starts pushing Irvine back into the ropes before trying to shoot him off. The King of Lions is not one to be Irish whipped you see... and Chrenshaw pays for even trying as Irvine executes a beautiful side headlock takeover with ease before getting up and kicking his one time tag team partner in the back! The crowd oohs as Chrenshaw smirks and sits up, Garner tells Irvine to stay back as he does. The former Heritage Champion gets to his feet... Irvine tries to grab him, but the Crippler knees him in the gut. He hoists him up, then slams him back down to the mat in a hurry with a snap suplex! Chrenshaw floats over for the cover but gets up instead... AND DROPS A KNEE ACROSS IRVINE'S FACE! The champion rolls up to his feet, holding his face and then charges at Chrenshaw! The Crippler backs up to avoid the attack but winds up eating a leg kick, Irvine doesn't trying pressing the action after that and falls back against the ropes no doubt feeling the effect of a two hundred pound man driving his knee into your face. Chrenshaw is told to back up and he's more than happy to oblige Mr. Garner's request. It isn't long though before Irvine is ready to fight again! Chrenshaw goes to retrieve him, but Irvine rewards him with a knee to the gut as a receipt of his own from earlier. The King of Lions then grabs Chrenshaw's arm and wrings it out before spinning him around - trying to ground him into the mat for a Fujiwara armbar! Chrenshaw begins clawing toward the ropes, Irvine keeps a hold of the arm and reaches up to tag in Cutlass. SAM HEWITT Listen to this crowd here in Buffalo!Roaring! Mr. 448 comes in and grabs the arm, then Irish whips Chrenshaw into Irvine's elbow! Irvine rolls out to the floor and Cutlass yanks the Crippler back to his feet by the arm. Once standing, Cutlass drills him with multiple elbows to back him into the ropes. He grabs Chrenshaw by the wrist and whips him across the ring. On the rebound, a running palm strike finds it's mark and the one time Heritage Champion falls to the mat! He covers! 1... ... 2-KICK OUT! Cutlass rolls Chrenshaw onto his stomach and applies a front chancery, but can't keep himself grounded for long as Chrenshaw forces his way back up to his feet and puts Cutlass against the ropes. Garner calls for a break, but it's Chrenshaw not Cutlass doing the attacking! Several shots to the ribs frees Chrenshaw from the Blazin' King's grip, allowing him to headbutt him! Cutlass falls to a knee and Chrenshaw pulls him by the ear over to his corner where he tags in Matt Pulver! The crowd pops for the incoming Pulver and the Swedish young lion circles around Cutlass, the two nod... clearly excited to tangle once again. CHAD GOMEZ A lot of respect being shown here, Sambo. These two are big fans of each other... almost to a sickening degree.Cutlass is slapped on the back by Irvine! The crowd boos as he steps in and Cutlass steps out to the apron, Pulver isn't too impressed either but decides to go with it. The two lock-up, Irvine tries for a clinch but Pulver keeps his limbs from doing any damage as he gets backed into the ropes. Garner calls for a break, Irvine starts to back up but leans in with an elbow strike - HE MISSES. Pulver ducks it and turns around with babyface fire like only he can! Pulver bashes Irvine not once, not twice, but three times with elbows! Irvine doubles over but comes back with an elbow of his own! Pulver gets staggered and Irvine uses a leg kick to chop him down! Pulver tries to crawl back up, but Irvine yanks him up in a rear waist hold... DEAD LIFT GERMAN SUPLEX! The crowd gasps as Irvine gets up and tags in Cutlass, who comes in and applies a double chickenwing hold with a knee in the back. Pulver grunts in pain as Cutlass brings him to a standing position. The Blazin' King tries to transition into a rear naked choke, but Pulver drops down... HIS LEGS GO UP! KNEEBAR! Cutlass rolls toward the ropes quickly, grabbing them. Chrenshaw reaches in and tags Pulver as Cutlass breaks free and creates distance between him and the Crippler, making sure he's A-OK before tangling with a man of Chrenshaw's abilities. The crowd works itself into a frenzy as Chrenshaw and Cutlass tangle and immediately go against the ropes. The Crippler opts not to break cleanly and begins battering him with elbows! Cutlass has had enough of this shit and decides to fire back with a headbutt receipt from earlier! Chrenshaw is stunned by the shot and the Blazin' King bops him with an elbow strike on the follow up. SAM HEWITT Fans! We've got to take a commercial break, but if the end of the match happens - we'll be sure to show you when we return here on Wrestling from the Lion's Road!

Eli Buchanan sits back in his chair and waves the camera, smiling sheepishly. ELI BUCHANAN Hi Buffalo. I'm sending this video from Hitachinaka, Japan. I'm over here fulfilling a few obligations involving a movie project I'm apart of and have managed to hook up on a little wrestling tour while I'm out here. Somehow this has turned into a family vacation as well, which seems surreal to me.He takes a look at his phone. ELI BUCHANAN It is currently 2 am local time and I should be sleeping, so I'm going to keep this real simple and quick. James Edwards, Matt Pulver, I hope you boys don't lose those World Tag Team Titles to the Demon Brigade, because when I get back in two weeks I plan on getting together with Carl Whitaker and demand we get our title rematch. More than that though, I'm officially putting the whole roster on notice because on March 29th I'm making an open challenge to anyone to face me one on one in the ring. As the expression goes, "if you want some, come get some".He waves again at the camera, leans forward and the feed goes blank.

SAM HEWITT And we're back! I apologize for the commercial break, but in giving this match the entire program - it's necessary. Chrenshaw kicks the doubled over Irvine in the gut and hooks him up for a suplex, but the Wolf blocks it... Chrenshaw tries again after a knee to the gut, then hoists him up... IRVINE SLIPS OUT THE BACK! He clamps on a choke sleeper and falls back! The crowd goes wild as Chrenshaw is trapped, hooks in by Irvine, in the middle of the ring! The Crippler extends his arms, looking for the ropes as Irvine uses his forearm to impede Chrenshaw's vision. Garner asks Chrenshaw if he wants to submit, but Pulver is in to stomp on Irvine before an answer can even be uttered! Pulver breaks the submission up and gets a glare from the King of Lions for doing so. Irvine rolls out to the floor, bringing Julian Cutlass into the fold again. He grabs the Crippler up off his knees and whips him into the ropes... and on the rebound, clamps on a sleeper hold! Chrenshaw falls to a knee... CUTLASS SINKS THE HOOKS IN! He goes to fall back, but Chrenshaw changes directions on him and the two land in the ropes to create a break. SAM HEWITT A lucky break for Ben Chrenshaw there! Pulver already used up a save to get him out of Irvine's choke sleeper and he could've saved him again, but he would've been disqualified and fouled out of this match. CHAD GOMEZ And that would've left the Crippler in a two on one against Black Lion's Road. Is that really helping?SAM HEWITT Probably the reason he didn't do it, Chad. The Blazin' King pulls Chrenshaw to his feet and slams him into the corner where he tags in Irvine. The King of Lions comes in and watches as Cutlass whips Chrenshaw into the ropes, Irvine rushes in and cracks him with a flying knee! Chrenshaw goes down and Irvine takes a neutral corner as Garner begins the knockout count. 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... Chrenshaw rolls onto his stomach and gets up to his knees. Irvine kicks him in the face, Chrenshaw reels from the shot! Irvine cracks him again, knocking him back into the ropes, Garner goes to step in but Chrenshaw rebounds... LARIAT! He gets up and tags in Pulver! The Swede wastes no time at all, stomping on Irvine's head as he crawls toward Cutlass... he then grabs a front chancery and slings Irvine over with a snap suplex! He floats over into a pin! 1... ... 2... KICK OUT! Pulver grabs both of Irvine's legs and begins trying to turn him over... Irvine struggles to keep himself on his back, but Pulver uses a few kicks to the waist to get him moving. Once over, Irvine manages to pull his right leg free, but Pulver says no big deal and focuses his energy on a single leg crab instead. He tries to wrench back... but Irvine uses that free leg to crack him in the head! Pulver releases the hold and falls down! The King of Lions tries to get up and tag in Cutlass, but Pulver literally jumps on his back, sliding down as he pulls him away and throws him into the corner where Chrenshaw waits. A tag is made and Chrenshaw gets in, grabs his former partner and scoop slams him. He backs into the ropes and hoists himself onto the second rope... GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! 1... ... 2... ... 3-NO! Irvine kicks out, Chrenshaw checks to see what the count was and upon finding out it was only a two, he grabs Irvine's leg and tries to apply the single leg crab. Tries is the keyword here because Irvine is being nothing but difficult in preventing this from happening, Chrenshaw reaches back and tags in Pulver who hops into the ring and begins stomping on the leg Chrenshaw holds up. Chrenshaw lets go and exits, leaving Pulver to try the single leg crab but again... Irvine is having none of it! Pulver abandons the hold and begins kicking at the leg. An upkick from Irvine sends Pulver flying back into a neutral corner and allows him to get up. The King of Lions immediately gets struck by a flying elbow smash, knocking him to his knees. Pulver rallies the fan support and charges into the ropes, roaring back out... OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX BY IRVINE! Pulver hits the mat and his momentum carries him out of the ring. Chrenshaw walks over to check on him, then helps him up and goes to roll him back inside - but Irvine kicks him through the ropes before grabbing Pulver and pulling him inside himself! He looks at Cutlass for a moment, then a wry smile crosses his face... he takes Pulver and throws him through the ropes to the floor, taking out Chrenshaw! Garner holds up a yellow card! BRADY ROSSEN Referee Cordell Garner has issued a yellow card to Alexander Irvine for throwing an opponent out of the ring! His first public warning!Irvine shrugs and laughs at the announcement. SAM HEWITT Look at that! The World's Champion cares not one bit! CHAD GOMEZ It's the cost of doing business when you live to get under people's skin. Garner goes out to check on both men before climbing back inside to begin the count, Irvine squats down to wait until Pulver begins crawling under the bottom rope. He pulls him in and yanks him right into a jumping knee! Pulver goes down and Irvine walks off, looking at Chrenshaw on the outside as the knockout count begins. 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... Pulver gets up to his knees, Chrenshaw calls for a tag and Pulver turns to that direction but Irvine smiles as he grabs Pulver by the waist, lifts him up and chucks him down. He grabs a leg and then drops to a knee - on the back of Pulver as he applies a single leg crab of his own! Irvine laughs as Chrenshaw gets into the ring and punches him! Chrenshaw and Irvine trade some shots before Garner has to pull them apart! Chrenshaw goes back to the apron as Cutlass is tagged in by Irvine.

Cutlass mostly absorbs the shot and Pulver goes down. The former King of Lions goes to advance on him, but Pulver gets back up and pops him with another elbow! He staggers the Blazin' King but again, Pulver falls down to a knee and Cutlass drops an elbow down across the young Swede's neck! He brings him back up to a vertical base and backs into the corner where he tags in Irvine, the reigning King of Lions comes in and grabs Pulver by the wrist, pulling him out of the corner into an elbow! Pulver falls to a knee, but Irvine pulls him in again - ELBOW! He falls to a knee once more... Irvine has to fight with him a bit to pull him in a third ti-- PULVER DUCKS! ELBOW FROM PULVER! He leans down to get a better grip but gets a punch to the face! Chrenshaw is staggered... Irvine socks him again! Chrenshaw drops the leg... UPKICK! Chrenshaw staggers into the corner, Irvine rolls over and tags in Cutlass. The Blazin' King walks in and heads over to Chrenshaw, who explodes from the corner with a calf kick! Chrenshaw goes down, Cutlass leaps on top! 1... ... 2... ... FOOT ON THE ROPE! The crowd gasps as they all realize what happened. Cutlass pulls Chrenshaw up and goes for an exploder suplex... but Chrenshaw elbows him and clamps on a guillotine... Cutlass bulls him into the corner! But it's the wrong corner! Pulver tags himself in! Cutlass pulls the Crippler out of the corner and snaps off a Northern Lights suplex! He bridges! Both Garner and Irvine are trying to tell him that Chrenshaw isn't legal! PULVER SOARS OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH A DOUBLE STOMP! Both Cutlass and Chrenshaw are affected by the move, Pulver rolls through and nails Irvine with an elbow to knock him off the apron! Pulver turns and pulls Cutlass up to his feet, he wrings his arm around into a hammerlock... and then pulls his head down... ROLLS IT THROUGH! MATT TRAP II! The Dos Caras Clutch! 1... ... 2... ... IRVINE BREAKS IT UP! He rolls Cutlass out to the apron and he drops to the floor. Irvine yanks Pulver to his feet and begins unloading with knees to the head, he grabs him in a front chancery... EVENFL-NO! CHRENSHAW LARIATS HIM! SAM HEWITT Irvine forgot about Chrenshaw, who was still in the ring from Cutlass' pin attempt!Pulver grabs Irvine in a rear waist hold and looks to return the German suplex from earlier but gets elbowed in the face! Irvine turns around and positions him for the Evenflow DDT again... PULVER GRABS THE LEGS AND TRIPS HIM INTO A CRADLE! 1... ... 2... ... 3-NO! The two men trading blows on the mat! Irvine gets the upper hand and pushes Chrenshaw out, he turns back to Cutlass and sees he's OK so he follows the Crippler out and continues battling on the floor. Pulver is struggling so much that Cutlass opts to lift him up, but Pulver's legs keep flailing wildly! Cutlass sits him back down, and it's Pulver's turn to lift... AND HE SPIKES HIM DOWN WITH A BACK TO BELLY PILEDRIVER! The crowd goes nuts as Pulver lands on top of Cutlass, who slowly lets go of Pulver's arms. 1... ... 2... ... 3! Pulver rolls off and slowly realizes what's happened, the crowd is loud! Garner raises his arm as he slowly pulls himself to his feet. Security comes out and gets between Irvine and Chrenshaw and quickly escorts them off to the back. A replay is shown... SAM HEWITT You can see here - Cutlass going for the Knee Bomber, he hoists Pulver up after some struggling from the young lion. I'm guessing he intended to drive him into the mat with a facebuster, but Pulver got himself flat back down on the mat, picked Cutlass up and drove him into the mat. CHAD GOMEZ A belly to back piledriver - maybe it was intentional, maybe not, but it scored the win for Pulver! Pulver turns around and waits for the medical crew to give him the OK. Pulver extends his hand to Cutlass and pulls him to his feet, the two exchange a hug. Cutlass raises Pulver's arm in victory, but Pulver shakes his head and raises Cutlass' before bowing out of the ring. The crowd erupts in chants of CUTLASS! CUTLASS! CUTLASS! as we close out.
