The Brandon, Manitoba crowd cheers in the Keystone Centre as PWGP “CHARGE” opens. Our announcing team of Greg Stradford and “Big Bad” Paul Carlyle welcome once again to the program and quickly go over tonight’s matches. We will see the last two matches in the opening round of the PWGP International Tag Team Tournament, Alan Hunter and Vlars will face off in Match 3 of their series, we’ll finally see Brutus Smith and Kraken face off one on one and BOB will make his second defence of the the PWGP Television Title.
Stradford and Carlyle send it down to our ring announcer, Nick Christoulos, who introduces the participants for the opening cost.
MATCH 1
PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament Opening Round
“High Five” Jimmy Jive and James Daniels
vs
Double Trouble (David Lee Sellers and Duke Womack)
(Referee: Mark Lindsey)
Despite protesting, Jimmy Jive would not allow his son, James Daniels to begin the match for their team tonight. Jive would start the match with Womack, who started the match looking pretty cocky but the smile was wiped from his match as Jive surprised everyone by out wrestling him. Frustrated, Womack would tag in Sellers and Daniels would beg his father to let him tag in, which Jive reluctantly did.
The magnitude of what he got himself quickly hit Daniels, as Sellers started tossing him around and using his size advantage to bulldoze over the young rookie. Daniels would take advantage of a mistake by Sellers though to send him shoulder first into the ring post. He would tag his father back in and they would hit a double suplex and a double elbow drop. Jive would get a close fall. Daniels would be tagged back in and would attempt to follow up with a flying crossbody block but Seller would catch him in midair and slam him to the mat. Double Trouble would go on to control the next several minutes of the match. Daniels would endure a severe amount of punishment before somehow landing on his feet out of a back body drop from Womack to tag Jive back in.
Jive would come in like a house of fire and hit several hip tosses on Womack. Sellers would attempt to charge in but Jive sidestepped him and sent him right into his partner. Jive would toss Sellers out of the ring and tagged James Daniels back in. Daniels would climb to the top rope and successfully hit a flying cross body to pick up the three counts.
Winners: and advancing to the quarterfinals, “High Five” Jimmy Jive and James Daniels
After the match Jive and Daniels celebrated. Stradford would suggest this was the biggest win of Daniels’s brief career, while Carlyle called it a fluke. We leave the father son duo celebrating as we go to break.

MATCH 2
PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament Opening Round
Team AMLL (Cielo Guerrera and La Mosca de Loca)
vs
The Moondogs (Buster and Runt)
(Referee: Jose Doe)
Noted conspicuous by his absence, The Guru was nowhere to be seen for the match. The move seemed odd considering the importance of this match but as it progress we learned that the Guru was forced to remain in the back to deal with BOB.
Right from the start it was clear that the Moondogs struggled to keep up with the two luchadores. Early in the match, Guerrera and Mosca kept the pace of the match quick with arm drags and ranas. They would hit stereo planchas to the arena floor much to the delight of the Brandon crowd.
The Moondogs would eventually gain control when Buster hit Mosca with his bone while Jose Doe had his back turned. Buster would use a series of power moves to wear Mosca down, then allow Runt to use his unorthodox move set to continue the assault. Their momentum was short lived as La Mosca de Loca would dodge a series of moves from both Moondogs to make the tag to Cielo Guerrera.
Buster and Runt were hard pressed to stop Guerrera, as he seemed to fly around the ring hitting them both with some high octane offense. Mosca would recover enough to come back in the ring and the two luchadores would try to put Runt away with a pair of moonsaults before Buster broke up the cover. Eventually the lucha tactics became too much for Buster and Runt and they would result to using their bones to attack to cause the disqualification.
Winners: and advancing to the quarterfinals, Team AMLL
After the match the Moondogs would try continue the assault with their bones but Guerrera and Mosca would fight back and toss Buster and Runt from the ring. Seizing the bones, the luchadores would use them to hit a pair of suicide dives on the Moondogs at rinside. As the Moondogs tried to recover, Team AMLL would return to the ring and have their hands raised in victory by Doe.

Before the next match we see highlights of the previous two encounters between Alan Hunter and Vlars. Hunter would win the first match with a small package. Vlars would win the second match by move devious means, shoving the referee into the ropes to crotch Hunter on the top rope and hit the Puke Bucket Stunner for the victory.
MATCH 3
Best of 5 Series (Match 3)
Alan Hunter (1 victory)
vs
Vlars (1 victory)
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
Vlars taunted Hunter at the beginning of the match and would do his best to keep his distance from him, resorting to jumping out of the ring to enrage Hunter and slow the pace down. Alan Hunter would eventually catch him off guard with a diving dropkick between the ropes on the arena floor.
Hunter would throw Vlars into the ring and start gaining momentum with a series of arm drags, drop kicks and a reverse atomic drop. He would whip Vlars into the corner and hit running clothesline before whipping the self proclaimed “Puke Bucket God” into the opposite corner. Once again he would charger in, but this time Vlars would get his feet up and get knocked to the mat. Vlars would quickly roll him up and with the referee not paying attention would put both feet on the middle rope to pick up the shocking three count.
Winner: Vlars (leads series 2-1)
Vlars quickly rolled out of the ring and celebrated on the stage as Alan Hunter argued with Andrew Roller. Frustrated that Vlars pulled another one on him, Alan Hunter could only fume as Vlars flipped him off and went to the back.

Returning from break we’re told that our announcers have a special interview for all of us. Eli Buchanan is shown in Japan and greets the Brandon crowd. He’s asked by the announcers how the tour in the Orient is going and Eli states it’s going really well and he hopes he’s making all the great PWGP fans proud. He’s asked about the main event tonight between his former protege, Kraken and his mentor, Brutus Smith. Eli states he hopes the ring has been reinforced for match because this will be a hard hitting contest. He says he knows first hand how tough Kraken is, but Brute’s strength is ungodly and he predicts that Kraken will lose here tonight to Brutus Smith. Carlyle suggests that Eli only says that because he knows Kraken has eight points and he doesn’t want Kraken to get ten points so he can challenge him for the Global Title. Eli states he’s not afraid to face anyone and if Kraken wants a match with him, whether it’s for the Global Title or not, all he has to do is ask. Greg Stradford wishes Eli the best of luck on the remainder of the tournament in Japan and they say goodbye to him.

We are shown highlights of the battle royal that occured before “CHARGE” went on the air. We see several of the eliminations including Agent B making sure Bryant Adam Thompson would not receive another Television Title shot by eliminating him from the match. Faititili would eliminate Agent D later in the battle royal. Both Faititli and Agent B would be eliminated by Jeremy Squire while trying to get one another out of the ring, but they would continue to brawl on the arena floor and would be joined by Thompson and Agent D, fighting all the way to the back. Lastly we watch as the Big O won by tossing Squires from the ring and securing himself a PWGP Television match, which is coming up next.
MATCH 4
PWGP Television Title Match
BOB (champion, 3 points, with The Guru)
vs
The Big O (0 points, with Orville Newton)
(Referee: Jose Doe)
Newton accompanied his frequent tag team partner to the ring in hopes of counteracting the Guru. The announcers put over the dominant performance the Big O had in the battle royal earlier tonight, eliminating four of the participants. It’s also pointed out how he turned more than a few heads with his performance last week in the International Tag Team Title Tournament.
There was absolutely nothing pretty about these two big men. Big O was nothing like anyone BOB had faced to date and he was unable to toss him around as he had with previous opponents. They would try to knock each other down with running shoulder blocks and barely even move one another and simply started throwing fist. BOB would start using headbuts but Big O appeared unfazed by them and answer with a few of his own. Big O would actually pick BOB up and slam him to the mat, which seriously concerned the Guru. He would try to get up on the apron, but Newton would pull him down and tell him to stay out of the match.
The Moondogs charged the ring and attacked Orville Newton, which drew Big O’s attention. The distraction gave BOB enough time to recover and start eadbutting Big O from behind. He would follow up with a running big boot and a splash. Big O would kick out a second too late and BOB would retain the Television Title.
Winner: and still PWGP Television Champion, BOB (5 points)
Following the match, the Guru would gather up his men and quickly return to the locker room while Big O checked on his buddy, Orville at ringside.

In office of the spokesperson for the BUAC, Robert Fredrick and his assistant, Deedee Gagnon, watch what just happened with frustration. Robert announces that next week we’ll see the Moondogs face off with 02 in a six man tag team match and tells Deedee to go inform both teams they have a week to find their thirds.
After she leaves, Faititili and Bryant Adam Thompson come in and request a tag team match with the Agents of Pain. Robert Fredrick likes the idea, but decides that it will happen in three weeks at “Glory Road 1”. He also states next week we’ll see Faititli face off with Agent D and then in two weeks it will be Bryant Adam Thompson against Agent B. This satisfies the two high flyers and they leave Robert Fredrick’s office and he returns his attention to the monitor in his office.

As we return from break we see several shots of wrestlers from their different locker rooms. The announcers tells us that everyone is curious to see what will happen in tonight’s main event as we see a video package of what has led to this clash of titans: Brutus Smith’s sudden appearance to challenge Kraken to a fight several weeks ago; the six man tag team match they participated in that Kraken won by pinning one of the Unknowns while Smith was dealing with the Agents of Pain; we see the two behemoths try to outdo each other to see which one could beat the most opponents at once; finally, the attack by Kraken and Mack Brody last week, attempting to injure the masked giant’s knee.
MAIN EVENT
MATCH 5
“Clash of the Titans”
Brutus Smith (6 points, with Tony Columbo)
vs
Kraken (8 points, with Saul Asper)
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
The match begins with Kraken trying his best to move Brute, with no avail. Despite being well over four hundred pounds, the French Canadian Colossus couldn’t budge the giant, who seemed to take great pleasure in egging him on. The giant would shove Kraken in the corner and start hitting him with several huge chops that seemed to take Kraken’s breath away.
A brief distraction from Asper would allow Kraken to catch Brute off guard with a kick to the injured knee. He would shock the world by picking Brute up and slamming him to the mat and going for the cove. Brute would kick out but Kraken would quickly follow up while his opponent was on his back by raining down with a series of punches. While the blows obvious fazed the giant, Brutus Smith managed to shove Kraken off him and would start getting to his feet. Kraken would hit a running knee to stun Brute and begin punching him once more. Again, Brute would shove him away and would hit a hard chop across Kraken’s chest. The giant would finally get to his feet and grabbing Kraken by the throat, would shove the French Canadian Colossus right over the top rope.
With the crowd cheering loudly, Brute would step over the top rope and down to the arena floor to follow up his advantage. The two behemoths would brawl around the ring, with Brute getting the better of it. A scuffle between Saul Asper and Tony Columbo would distract Andrew Roller. With the referee’s attention elsewhere, Kraken pulled something out of his tights and threw some sort of powder in Brute’s face. Kraken would shove the blinded giant into the ring post and would roll back into the ring. Andrew Roller missed all this and while Brute to recover from being posted and trying to regain his sight, he was counted out.
Winner: by count out, Kraken (9 points)
While Kraken and Asper celebrate his victory, Greg Stradford protests about the tactics we’ve seen Kraken use here tonight, meanwhile Carlyle laughs. The celebration is cut short though because Tony Columbo has managed to get his man a bottle of water to flush his eyes and the very angry giant enters the ring. He spins Kraken around and grabbing him by the throat, chokeslams him right through the middle of the ring.
Saul Asper looks absolutely shocked at what’s happened to his star client, as the crowd chants, “Holy Sh*t!” We are left with this image as we go off the air. We’ll see you next week in Winnipeg!
And as always… in the meantime, and in between time, good night, God bless and may the Force be with you.
