Preshow:
-”The Bayside Behemoth” Bruiser Jones defeated Goober the Gooker in his debut match by pinfall following a vertical suplex powerbomb and a running senton to earn his first point.
-Agent B (w/ Saul Asper and Agent D) defeated Pierre the Masked Canadien with a Implant DDT to earn his third point.

As we go on the air we see highlights of last week’s main event between Brutus Smith and Kraken. We watch as the two big men brawl to the outside and Kraken throwing some sort of powder into the masked giant’s face, blinding him long enough to pick up the count out victory and earn his ninth point. Following the match we see Brute get his revenge by chokeslamming Kraken right through the middle of the ring, leading to a”Holy Sh*t!” chant from the Brandon crowd.
We go to Bell/MTS Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where the crowd is absolutely electric here tonight. Our announce team, Greg Stradford and “Big Bad” Paul Carlyle greet us to the program and quickly go over the this evening’s card. We’ll see match number four in the best of five series between Vlars and Alan Hunter, a must win match for Hunter if he wants to stay alive in the series. Agent D will face off with Faititili in one-on-one action, with their respective partners in their corners, as a lead in to their big tag team match in two weeks time at “Glory Road 1”. BOB will defend his PWGP Television Title against a yet unnamed opponent and we’ll see the first two of our quarterfinal matches in the PWGP International Tag Team Tournament, with Winnipeg’s favourite sons, The East K Connection (Easy E and Sweet Daddy D) against The Demon Brigade (GRIM and Jin Hirai) in the main event. The other quarterfinal match is our opening contest, Stradford and Carlyle send it down to our ring announcer, Nick Christoulos for the opening introductions.
MATCH 1
PWGP International Tag Team Tournament Quarterfinal
“High Five” Jimmy Jive and James Daniels
vs
Lynx and Asterio
(Referee: Mark Lindsey)
Jimmy Jive received a loud hometown reaction from the Winnipeg crowd. At the beginning of the match both teams shook hands, despite James Daniels reservations to do so. Daniels and Asterio started off the contest. At first Daniels was able to use his slight weight advantage to back Asterio in the corner and pat his masked opponent on the head. This little insult would backfire as Asterio would make him pay with a floatover takedown, followed by a series of Mexican armdrags. Lynx would tag in the the luchadore team would chop Daniels down to size with a series of kicks, ending of with a pair of dropkicks to a kneeling Daniels.
A thumb to the eye would allow Daniels to tag his father in and after chastising Daniels for the eye rake, Jive would attempted to slow the pace down by grounding Lynx and locking on a side headlock. The veteran of over twenty years would begin to work of the masked man’s upper body to set him up for the Wipe Out, his floatover double arm suplex. Daniels would tag back into the match continue working over the upper body with a hammerlock, ramming Lynx into the ringpost, followed up with a shoulder breaker for a two count. The young rookie would climb to the top rope, looking for the flying cross body but Lynx would crotch him on the top turnbuckle. Showing a great deal of resilience, Lynx would climb to the top rope and hit a super huricanrana from the top.
With the crowd cheering, both men would slowly crawl to their opposing corners. Lynx would make the tag first and Asterio would cut off Daniels before he could get to his father. The luchadore would hit a step-up rana that would send Daniels rolling out of the ring. The young man would slowly get to his feet but would get hit by a springboard plancha. Asterio would roll him back into the ring and tag Lynx back into the match. The pair of masked men whipped Daniels into the ropes but didn’t notice Jive tag himself back into the match. They would hit Daniels with a double dropkick, followed up by a combination standing moonsault and somersault leg drop and Lynx would go for the cover, but Mark Lindsey wouldn’t count it as Daniels was no longer the legal man in the match.
In the confusion, Jive would slip into the ring and toss Asterio out of the ring. When Lynx got to his feet, Jive would catch him off guard with the Wipeout. Lynx’s foot was on the bottom rope, but Daniels knocked it off before Lindsey noticed and kept Asterio at bay until the ref counted three.
Winner: and advancing to the semifinals, “High Five” Jimmy Jive and James Daniels.
Following the match, Lynx protested that his foot was on the ropes. Jive seeed confused by this accusation, but Daniels would do his best to distract his dad by celebrating their huge win and reminding him they only had two more matches to go. Despite his own reservations about all this, Jive followed his son to the back to celebrate while the two luchadores could do nothing but protest to Lindsey.

We return to the ring to find The Big O and Orville Newton are standing in the ring with their partner for the night, none other than, Kaden Night. We’re reminding by our announce team how last week Big O was cheated out of a possible Television Title win and that’s what led to this match tonight.
The Guru is out next, flanked by Moondogs Buster and Runt. He proclaims that tonight is a celebration because the crown jewel of his little family is finally medically cleared to compete. The Guru steps aside and out on to the stage walks The Technician, the self-proclaimed greatest wrestler to have ever lived. The quartet make their way down to the ring and the match is set to begin.
MATCH 2
Kaden Knight and O2 (Orville Newton & The Big O)
vs
The Technican and Moondogs Buster & Runt (w/ The Guru)
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
Buster and Night start off the match. The announcers point out the orthopaedic boot that The Tecnicina is wearing due the injury he sustained in a match with Faitiltili several weeks ago. The two wrestlers and Kaden quickly takes control of the action with a headlock takeover and then gets the bigger Moondog in a standing hammerlock, all the while playing mind games with his opponent with his bizarre behavior.
Night tag in Big O but Buster is able to break free from Night and tag in Runt. The little ball of wild energy tries attacking Big O straight on, but gets flattened with a shoulder check. Runt quickly gets to his feet but is nearly run over with a clothesline. Big O begins to toss Runt around the ring like a rag doll before tagging in his partner, Orville Newton. Orville tries to pick Runt up but gets bitten for his trouble and Tech gets tagged into the match.
The masked grappler goads Orville on and the young man foolishly goes for a collar and elbow lock up. What occurs next could simply be referred to as a “wrestling lesson” as The Technician would lock on an armbar, only to allow Orville to counter out of it so he could counter back into a more painful version of the hold. He would slap Orville around every time he would counter one of his attacks or prevent Orville from countering out of a lock he had him in. Newton was finally able to break free long enough to tag Kaden Night into the match and he and Tech would lock up. The crowd was absolutely stunned as the two competitors went hold for hold with one another, counter each other’s moves only to lock on something for their own . The Technician certainly seemed to be living up to his name but became clearly frustrated by Night’s ability to go two to toe with him and finally resorted to raking the eyes to gain control.
He would tag in Buster, who would slam Night to the mat. Over the next few minutes The Guru’s three charges would make frequent tags while slowly wearing Night down. With The Technician calling out orders to the Moondogs, the three of them appeared to be just moments away from winning and Paul Carlyle couldn’t seem to stop singing Tech’s praises as a ring general. It was a mistake by the ring general himself that led to Night getting the tag, backflipping out of an attempted atomic drop to bring Big O back into the match.
The big man came in and immediately started steamrolling through all three of his opponents. A Michinoku Driver almost led to a pinfall victory over Runt before Buster broke it up. This would lead to all four competitors getting into the ring and brawling it out. In the midst of the chaos, The Technician started hitting the toe of his right foot into the mat. Big O would grab him from behind and whip him into the ropes but when the big man lowered his head for the back body drop attempt, Tech kicked him between the eyes and he went down like a pile of bricks. While the Moondogs kept Orville and Night busy, The Technician went for the pinfall and secured the victory for his team.
Winners: The Technician and the Moondogs
The Guru and his charges quickly made their escape to the entrance ramp, while Kaden and Orville checked on their fallen partner. The announcers would review the closing moments of the match and Stradford outright claimed there must be something in Tech’s boot because there’s no way someone as tough as Big O would have went down like that from one kick. Carlyle suggested Big O might have a glass jaw and requested Stradford not take away from this hug moment, The Technician was back and he had no doubt it wouldn’t be long before he was wearing championship gold around his waist.

MATCH 3
Best of 5 Series
Alan Hunter (1 fall)
vs
Vlars (2 falls)
(Referee: Jose Doe)
As the match begins we’re reminded that tonight’s match is a must win for Alan, as another victory by Vlars will win the series for the self proclaimed “puke bucket god” and earn him a non-title shot at PWGP Global Champion, Eli Buchanan. Carlyle insists that Vlars has used dirty tactics over the last two weeks to get into Alan’s head and doesn’t believe for a moment that he can bounce make from this.
Much like last week, Vlars rolls out of the ring in an effort to prevent Hunter from gaining any sort of momentum. Alan would roll out of the ring, only for Vlars to roll in. Hunter then rolled back in, only for Vlars to hop back out again. This continued a few more times before Hunter finally had enough and hit the cocky bald warrior with a suicide dive. As Hunter rose to his feet though, he appeared to be limping and the announcers wondered if he had injured himself in his haste to get the better of his rival.
Hunter rolled Vlars into the ring and hopped in himself. As he got into the ring, the limp became obvious and Vlars attacked. He kicked Hunter’s knee out from underneath him and started stomping on it. Doe made Vlars back up, as Hunter clutched his knee in agony. Vlars was having none of it though and shoved the referee out of his way. He grabbed Hunter by his bad leg and dragged him into the middle of the ring. He was getting ready to inflict further damage when Hunter suddenly sat up and hooked him in a small package. Before anyone knew what had happened, Doe counted three.
Winner: Alan Hunter (ties the series 2-2)
The crowd cheered loudly as it was Vlars’ turn to sit up with a stunned look on his face. Alan Hunter quickly rolled out of the ring and began running around the ring, showing to everyone that there was nothing wrong with his knee at all. Jogging up the entrance ramp, Hunter raised his hand in victory, and just to take one last jab at Vlars, did a few jumping jacks before heading to the back. Carlyle was disgusted at what Hunter had just done but Stradford said he only gave Vlars a taste of his own medicine and stated at least Hunter didn’t need to use the ropes to win.

BUAC Spokesman, Robert Fredrick is shown on screen with his assistant, Deedee Gagnon, at his side. He updates for us the card for “Golden Road 1” in two weeks time. We will see the semifinals and finals of the PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament, as well as The Agents of Pain versus Bryant Adam Thompson, but to continue the theme of focusing on the tag team division, there would also be ten team gauntlet match, with the losers of the tournament semifinals filling the final two spots in the match. There of course will be a PWGP Television Title Match with the challenger being names next week, along with the rest of the card. He wishes everyone a good evening and hopes everyone enjoys the final two matches of the night.

The Guru makes his way out to the ring with the PWGP Television Champion, BOB. He seems confused since there’s no one else in the ring and starts asking Andrew Roller and Nick Christoulos who BOB’s opponent is tonight. Nick doesn’t know, he starts the introduction but pauses, waiting for someone to come out.
The crowd begins to boo loudly as Saul Asper comes out, followed by Kraken and the other members of Asper’s Army. This immediately leads to The Technician and the Moondogs running out to join their manager and BOB in the ring. Asper grabs a microphone and asks that everyone remains calm. He tells The Guru that Kraken has no interest in winning the Television Championship, reminding us all that the French Colossus is one mere point away from getting the ten he needs to challenge Eli Buchanan for the PWGP Global Title. Asper tells us all that this is Robert Fredrick’s latest attempt to put a stop to both their monsters, hoping that they’ll tear each other apart so neither of them can get their hands on Fredrick’s golden boy.
The Guru asks what he suggests they do and Asper requests that BOB throws the match tonight. That way the green faced phenom keeps the Television Title and only lose two points in the process, while Kraken will gain the last point he needs to get his Global Title shot. Asper promises that he will make this up to The Guru down the line. The Guru wonders if Asper is afraid what BOB might do to Kraken tonight, as there’s no way he can be one hundred percent after being chokeslammed through the ring last week by Brute. Asper tries to suggest otherwise, but The Guru has had enough of talking and tells Andrew Roller to call for the bell.
MATCH 4
PWGP Television Title Match
BOB (champion, 5 points, w/ The Guru and his “Family”)
vs
Kraken (9 points, w/ Saul Asper and Asper’s Army)
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
The crowd started cheering as the two big men circle around one another in the ring. Carlyle calls the Winnipeg crowd sick, claiming they want to see these two tear each other apart almost as much as Fredrick does and for once Greg Stradford doesn’t argue.
BOB appears to be about to attack Kraken, when The Guru suddenly hops up on the ring apron. He calls for BOB to get out of the ring and as the confused champion complies, the crowd begins to jeer. The Guru and Asper shake hands as Roller begins the ten count and we can hear the former state he plans on holding Asper to his word about making this up to him. Asper crosses his heart and the two shake hands one more time. Andrew Roller reaches ten and calls for the bell, ending the match.
Winner: by count out, Kraken (10 points)
Paul Carlyle starts praising the genius of what we just saw here as Greg Stradfrd groans in disgust. He doesn’t get to say much, however, as the Brute Squad, Team AMLL, Faititili, Bryant Adam Thompson, O2 and Kaden Night all run out and a brawl eschewed. Officials and security quickly run out to break up the fight but they seem ill equipped to do so. Meanwhile, Asper and Kraken quickly escape through the crowd, leading our announcers to speculate that Asper doesn’t want to risk Kraken becoming injured, or perhaps face further injury. They disappear into the crowd as we go to break.

MATCH 5
Faititili (0 points)
vs
Agent D (2 points)
(Referee: Mark Lindsey)
We join the match in progress as we return from break. Somehow officials were able to clear everyone else from ringside during the commercials and we only have our two competitors in the ring. Agent D had Faititili grounded with a reverse chinlock and talking smack. He continued to ground and pound the Samoan warrior for the next several minutes. He went for the his finisher, the D Driver choke bomb but Faititili countered into a roll up and almost picked up the win but Agent D kicked out and nearly knocked Faititli’s head off with a thunderous clothesline. Agent D would slam Faititili to the mat and feeling overconfident, decided to climb to the top rope and mocking his opponent, went for a flying splash. Too bad for him, Faititli rolled out of the way and he crashed to the mat.
Mark Lindsey began the ten count as both men laid on the mat. Both slowly got to their feet. Agent D was the first one up and threw a right hand at Faititili, who blocked it and hit a right hand of his own. He would block several more punches and fire back several of his own. It wasn’t long before Agent D was looking dazed on his feet and Faititili dropped him with a super kick and went for the cover but only got a two count. He would pull D to his feet, looking to follow up, but the agent poked him to the eyes and slammed Faititili into the corner.
Agent D picked Faititili up and placed him on the top turnbuckle. He climbed up and tried to go for a superplex but Faititili started hitting him with headbutts. Eventually the blows to the head were too much and Agent D fell from the top rope, landing hard on the back of his head. The Samoan warrior wasted no further time climbing up on the top rope and hitting his flying splash. The three count was academic and Faititili picked up the victory.
Winner: Faititili (1 point)

We return from break to find Nick Christoulos making the announcements for tonight’s main event. The crowd erupts as The East K Connection comes out on stage. Many of their friends and family are in attendance and they slap hands with several of them as they make their way down to the ring. They wait for their opponents to arrive but no one came out. Everyone looked at each other confused. Greg Stradford informs us that GRIM and Jin Hirai had an event in Japan yesterday and wonders if they were unable to make it to Winnipeg in time for the show.
The lights in Bell/MTS Place go out. Everyone in the arena pops, thinking this means the arrival of the Brute Squad. Instead when they lights come up, it’s GRIM and Hirai, who waste not time attacking Easy E and Sweet Daddy D. Jose Do calls for the bell and the main event is on its way.
MAIN EVENT
MATCH 6
PWGP International Tag Team Tournament
East K Connection (Sweet Daddy D and Easy E)
vs
The Demon Brigade (GRIM and Jin Hirai)
(Referee: Jose Doe)
The two teams brawl, Sweet Daddy D with GRIM and Easy E with Hirai. The action spills out of the ring and both teams begin fighting into the crowd. Jose Doe lets them go at it, knowing the importance of this match. Easy E hip tosses Jin over the barricade, back towards the ring. The masked man take several steps back and takes a running start. He leaps over the barricade and catches Jin with a Tornado DDT on the arena floor. Meanwhile Sweet Daddy D and GRIM are fighting up the entrance ramp. GRIM reverses a Irish whip and Sweet Daddy D smashes head first into the entrance way. He staggers around and GRIM scoops him up and hits a Tombstone Piledriver on the stage.
With Sweet Daddy D down and apparently down, GRIM makes his way down to the ring and blindsides Easy E from behind. He and Jin roll the masked man into the ring and they begin double teaming hi. Jose Doe is able to get Jin out of the ring and the match finally begins looking like a traditional tag team match, but with the Sweetner out on the stage it doesn’t look good for Easy E in the ring. The Demon Brigade spend the next several minutes wearing him down, meanwhile officials tend to Sweet Daddy D. At one point Easy E hits a double clothesline on his opponents and crawls to his corner but there’s no one to tag and the Demon Brigade jump on him and continue the beat down.
There are several pin attempts by the Demon Brigade but Easy E somehow finds a way to kick out each time, much to the relief of the Winnipeg crowd. The crowd would pop as Sweet Daddy D slowly got to his feet and on wobbly legs started making his way back to the ring. GRIM pointed at him and Jin hit a suicide dive taking Sweet Daddy D down again. The mad dog would return to the ring to assist his partner to continue the attack on Easy E.
As the assault continued Sweet Daddy D finally managed to get to his feet and made it up to his corner. Jin slammed Easy E and saw him standing there. He charged to knock him back down, but Sweet Daddy D hit him with a forearm blow. Stunned, Jin turned around and was hit with a super kick by Easy E. Jose Doe started the count on both competitors as they slowly got to their hands and knees. Both men crawled to their corners and Jin made the tag to GRIM. The dark prophet rushed into the ring to stop Easy E from getting the tag, but the masked guy made a desperate leap and tagged in Sweet Daddy D.
Despite being Tombstoned earlier, Sweet Daddy D came in like a house of fire and dropped both members of the Demon Brigade with a series of right hands. He would give Jin a reverse atomic drop and clothesline him before turning his attention to GRIM. He would slam GRIM to the mat and pointing to the top rope, hit a flying elbow drop. He went for the pin but Jin would break it up. Easy E got back into the ring and it turned into another fourway brawl.
Amidst the chaos GRIM attempted to spray the poison mist in Sweet Daddy D’s face. The Sweetner ducked and Jin got it flush in the face. The East K Connection saw their opening to put the match away and hit a double superkick on GRIM, knocking him from the ring. They would quickly turn their attention to Jin, who was clawing at his eyes and hit another double superkick. Easy E would hit a pendulum backbreaker and Sweet Daddy D would climb to the top rope, hitting another flying elbow for some Sweet Decapitation to pick up the three count and the win.
Winners: and advancing to the quarterfinals, The East K Connection.
We go off the air with The East K Connection jumping into the crowd to celebrate with their friends and family. The announcer sign off and the program ends.
So in the meantime, and in the in between time… Good night, God bless and may the Force be with you.
