Our intro package fades into Sam Hewitt and Brian Shelzi at the desk.
SAM HEWITT
From Burlington, Ontario! Greetings grappling fans and welcome to Wrestling from the Lion's Road! My name is Sam Hewitt alongside me is former referee Brian Shelzi. Brian, there's only two bouts on today's program but they're both fantastic.
BRIAN SHELZI
Oh, definitely. We've got a four corner survival with two veterans and two newcomers - Justin Seville, David Troy, Nick Church and Liam Archer which should be a fun way to kick things off here in a few minutes. Plus that main event...
SAM HEWITT
A first time ever meeting of Ben Chrenshaw and AJ Knight taking on the King of Lions World's Champion James Edwards and Matt Pulver, the former World Tag Team Champions. Of course, those belts are in the possession of the Demon Brigade out of Maximum Japan Pro-Wrestling so this match stands to go a long way in determining just who might be that duo's next challengers.
BRIAN SHELZI
Who have you got your money on?
SAM HEWITT
I've never been much of a gambler, Brian, but we'll kick it to a quick commercial and come right back with the Four Corner Survival.
In our opening bout, Justin Seville walked out to tell Sam Hewitt and Brian Shelzi that he had a doctor's note that would excuse him from tonight's Four Corner Survival. This brought out Mandeville Nelson, who looked over the note before begrudgingly accepting it. Seville sarcastically apologized to Nelson, who rolled his eyes and told the Serious one to enjoy his night off. This brought out the other three participants in the match - "Dynamite" David Troy, Liam Archer and Nick "Knave" Church.
Hewitt talks about how Church is 2-0 in the Great Lakes, having won both matches in a minute or less by referee stoppage and technical submission respectively. Shelzi admits that it's impressive, but he'd be real impressed if Church could do the same thing in one match. Hewitt announces a correction, saying that the Four Corner Survival was originally said to be a one fall bout but that it's actually elimination style... and because of Seville's doctor's note, it's now a Triangle Survival. The commentary team quickly goes over the rules, noting that only two wrestlers can be in the ring at any given time with the odd man out being forced to wait on the apron for a tag. Or as Hewitt simply puts it, "anyone can tag anyone".
The match begins with Troy and Archer trading the basic holds. The Irish newcomer tries for a superkick out of an Irish whip, but Dynamite ducks it and comes up looking for the Flash Bang. Archer squats down as the kick narrowly misses his head, he shoves Troy from behind - sending him out to the floor. Referee Robbie Morris draws a yellow card for the foul, Archer tries to protest but misses the fact that an automatic tag has been made. Nick Church slinks into the ring and grabs Archer from behind... FORGET ME NOT! The ripcord rolling elbow tears across Archer's face, Church drops on top while watching Troy on the outside. 1-2-3!
Troy nods as stage hands help Archer out of the ring, Church invites him inside and Dynamite grabs the ropes and climbs up into a beat down. Church pummels him before he's even through the ropes, dragging him into the middle of the ring. Troy tries to shove him away, but Church responds with a slap! Then one with the left hand... then a backhand shot! He finishes it off with a right high kick - Troy slumps to his knees, but Church half nelsons him and hoists him up... OLYMPIC SLAM! The Flyswatter connects as the Burlington crowd gasps upon the impact. He bridges up for the pin and it's academic! Hewitt and Shelzi put Church over big, adding that Mandeville Nelson had told the two that a Heritage Heavyweight title shot would be considered for the winner of this Survival bout. Hewitt sends it to commercial telling fans that Derek Draven may finally have a challenger just as dangerous as he is.
We go backstage to Becky Chande who is standing by AJ Knight and Ben Chrenshaw.
BECKY CHANDE
Gentlemen, tonight's main event is a big important match for a number of reasons. First of all, two of your greatest rivals will be standing across the ring from you. Secondly, a win could earn you an opportunity at the World Tag Team Championships given your opponents' status as former champions. Last but not least, it serves as a chance to gain some momentum for the highly anticipated rematch against James Edwards for the King of Lions World's Championship in Toronto. So... how are you feeling?
Knight steps in.
AJ KNIGHT
Becks-a-million, I am feeling GREAT. A match that I've been chasing for almost three months is happening at long last and I get the chance to solidify my claim as the ace of Lion's Road. Not to mention, what you just mentioned - I have the chance to earn a shot at the Demon Brigade with the only friend I've had in this sport who's never stabbed in the back, despite having several chances to do just that.
BECKY CHANDE
That leads me into my next question regarding last week where things got heated between you two and your opponents. Have things calmed down at all since last week?
AJ KNIGHT
Look... things between Edwards and I are always a bit heated but the fact is the two of us just don't like each other. Respect? Yes. Like? No. Either way it's going to be an honour to share the ring with my greatest rival once again. Matt Pulver however spent most of last week trying to make believe that it was my fault things fell apart. Look, I could handle it when he chose James as his tag partner, whether I like him or not he's a fantastic competitor. Now admittedly I felt a bit betrayed when he accompanied him against me in the Heritage Cup, but still I could respect his decision. Last week though? Any respect I might have had for Matt is gone. He talks a lot about honour and respect, but he's the one who drove this wedge between us. Once I started moving past him all of a sudden he has a problem with how I act, all of a sudden he takes offense to my behaviour. And then he showed his true colours, all that talk of doing the right thing? It's a load of crap! I was getting jumped by Justin Seville, a man who you have nothing but disdain for, and you turned and did nothing. Without a second thought you walked away. Matt, I don't respect hypocrites, and you're going to learn firsthand that paybacks are a bitch!
Becky looks to Chrenshaw. The Crippler simply stands there with a smirk.
BECKY CHANDE
And you, Ben. Last week, you called out Justin Seville for his attacks on AJ. Only for him to come out and waylay you with a microphone...
Ben holds up his hand to stop her.
BEN CHRENSHAW
Listen Becky... Justin Seville isn't on my mind tonight. AJ and I are planning on showing everyone why we are the premier tag team not just in the Great Lakes, but the entire world.
Becky turns back to AJ.
BECKY CHANDE
AJ, anything to say about Seville?
AJ KNIGHT
Justin, we've got bigger fish to fry right now, but you'll get yours believe me. You can't run from the two of us. But like Ben said we are the premiere tag team in Lion's Road. And come the 26th, we'll have the Max-J Heavyweight Champion and the New King of the Lions Champion! Then Zombie, GRIM- Demon Brigade or as I call you Team "DEY TOOK R JURRBBS" We'll take those tag belts back home to where they belong, Lion's Road!
Ben smirks as AJ exits, Chrenshaw follows.

Ladies and gentlemen, this main event tag team bout is to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first at a combined weight of four hundred and thirty three pounds... the team of BEN CHRENSHAW and AJ KNIGHT!
Chrenshaw smirks as AJ showboats a bit, much to the chagrin of his opponents.
BRADY ROSSEN
Introducing next at a combined weight of three hundred and eighty nine pounds... they are former World Tag Team Champions... the team of MATT PULVER and JAMES EDWARDS!
Edwards bows as Pulver squats down.
BRADY ROSSEN
Your referee for this bout is Cordell Garner!
Garner waves to the crowd and asks both teams to sort out who will start. AJ is raring to go with Pulver, but Chrenshaw orders him to the apron and the Mat Wrestling Machine starts things off with the Crippler. Chrenshaw and Pulver lock-up with Chrenshaw pulling a side headlock, Pulver tries to push his old rival toward the ropes but Chrenshaw plants his feet and then hip tosses Pulver to the mat where he keeps him locked in his grasp. Chrenshaw cranks on the hold, getting up briefly only to get back down and apply more pressure. Pulver hooks his arm under Chrenshaw's leg and clasps his hands together, turning Chrenshaw over into a cradle pin. Chrenshaw rolls back over after a one count and increases the pressure, forcing Pulver to try and get up. The young Swede does and begins transitioning out of the hold into a top wrist lock... but Chrenshaw brings him right back into the side headlock. Edwards slaps the top turnbuckle trying to rally support behind his partner, the fans cheer as Pulver once again grimaces in pain trying to get that top wrist lock going his way.
CHRENSHAW FALLS TO THE MAT!
The crowd pops as it's Pulver turns to crank up the pressure, but Chrenshaw doesn't stay down for long and Pulver is forced to change his game plan - going from a top wrist lock to an arm wringer as they both return to a vertical base. Pulver backs up and Edwards tags in, the crowd comes alive as the Crippler smirks and backs up - tagging in AJ Knight.
SAM HEWITT
We go from one legendary rivalry to another! Edwards and Knight are set to meet on April 26th in Toronto for the second anniversary show. They've fought three times, two title bouts - Edwards holds a victory over AJ in the Iron Road and for the Iron Championship, but AJ Knight came close to wrestling the Heritage Heavyweight title away from him back in January. He had him dead to rights with the single leg crab but the time limit expired, by virtue of Edwards retaining - he advanced to the next round of the Heritage Cup.
BRIAN SHELZI
Which has got to be a tough pill for AJ Knight to swallow, but he doesn't swallow - he chokes. Everyone talks up these wins over Julian Cutlass, Sam... he beat Cutlass on a technicality the first time - an errant low blow. The second time... sure, he beat Cutlass fair and square but I don't think Cutlass has been the same since Irvine tapped him out in December.
SAM HEWITT
Maybe not, but a win is a win and AJ Knight earned his opportunity in Toronto - he has a chance to silence naysayers like you once and for all.
BRIAN SHELZI
Or give me more ammunition to work with.
Knight and Edwards circle around as the crowd roars in anticipation. Edwards pulls a side headlock but AJ shoots him off, Edwards comes off the ropes... AJ bends over to back body drop him but eats a kick to the chest! AJ staggers away to the ropes but finds no refuge there as Edwards delivers a palm strike! AJ grunts but returns fire with a forearm shot! Edwards winces and turns away, AJ kicks him in the chest and then nails him with another forearm shot! AJ grabs him by the wrist and whips him into the ropes. On the return, AJ leaps up and blasts the King of Lions with a dropkick! Edwards hits the ropes then falls to the mat, AJ gets up just in time to see Pulver tag himself in. The self-proclaimed ace of Lion's Road smiles as Pulver climbs through the ropes, the two come face to face and lock-up. AJ tries to pull a side headlock, but Pulver slips out and begins pummelling him with forearm clubs to the back. He then hits a few knees to the gut, backing AJ up into the ropes and shooting him off. AJ rebounds and grabs the ropes to stop himself short as Pulver leaps up for a dropkick, but gets nothing but air before crashing down to the mat. Knight yells about outsmarting Pulver before kicking him in the face, he slaps Chrenshaw's hand to bring him back in. Chrenshaw leaps onto Pulver, sprawling him out onto his stomach and tries to sink in an inverted chancery, or better known to LR fans as the CS Lewis, his variation of the Dragon Sleeper. Pulver of course knows what's afoot and drapes a foot over the bottom rope.
SAM HEWITT
Superb ring awareness by Matt Pulver using the fact that Chrenshaw stood up to try and secure the hold, leaving Pulver able to manuever his lower body freely and find the ropes.
Chrenshaw and Pulver lock-up again with the Crippler locking in a front chancery this time, Pulver is forced down to his knees but grabs Chrenshaw's arm and spins out into a hammerlock. Chrenshaw quickly gets up and counters that... with one of his own! Pulver twists himself into another counter! The crowd is loving it! Chrenshaw acts like he's going to counter back into another hammerlock but instead executes a drop toe hold, bringing both men back down to the mat. Chrenshaw leaps onto back mount and holds steady with his knee between Pulver's shoulder blades, reaching up to tag in AJ. The Crusader comes in and locks in a front chancery... he then grabs Pulver's waist band and hoists him high up into the air... and brings him back down with the vertical suplex! He covers!

2-NO!
AJ pulls Pulver up and tags Chrenshaw back in, the Crippler comes in and goes to grab the Mat Machine but Pulver drills him with a forearm shot! He follows it up with a second, then a third... Pulver knocks Chrenshaw to the ropes with that last shot and tries to close in, but Chrenshaw knees him in the gut. Pulver drops to all fours as Chrenshaw shakes off the effects of the strikes, then clamps on an abdominal stretch...
AND ROLLS IT BACK!
GUILLOTINE PIN!

...
EDWARDS BREAKS IT UP!
SAM HEWITT
Well, if you happen to watch MAX Japan on Pollovision then you'll recognize that pinning combination - it's what Chrenshaw used to defeat AJ Knight in his V2 defense of the MAX Heavyweight title. It's a highly effective pinning hold and Edwards recognized that, making the save.
BRIAN SHELZI
Two things I liked about this, Sammy. Chrenshaw did it very close to his own corner so Edwards had to run across the length of the 24 x 24 ring to make the save, which nearly saw a three get counted. Plus, AJ sat tight on the apron and didn't intervene. When I was refereeing, I never understood why partners would rush in to prevent the save. If you use the save, it's gone - that partner can't help you again and if he tries to, he gets fouled out and makes this a handicap match.
Edwards returns to his corner as Chrenshaw pulls Pulver up and cracks him with a punch, Pulver drops to a knee but returns fire with a palm strike. Chrenshaw kicks Pulver in the gut and grabs him, applying a standing guillotine choke! Pulver bulls Chrenshaw back into the ropes where AJ tags himself in, Chrenshaw keeps the hold applied as AJ comes in and grabs a rear waist lock. Chrenshaw lets go and AJ hoists Pulver up... and atomic drops him! Pulver lunges forward into the corner, AJ turns him around and scoops him up before slamming him down into the mat! AJ watches as Pulver arches his back in pain... then runs up and stomps him! Pulver rolls away in pain, trying to get to his feet and tag in Edwards but AJ stops him before he can! He pivots and blasts Edwards with a shot, much to the disappointment of the fans and then throws Pulver into the ropes. On the rebound, AJ leaps up and blasts Pulver with an enzuigiri! Edwards steams on the apron as AJ backs up and tags in Chrenshaw.
SAM HEWITT
Lots of quick tags being utilized by Chrenshaw and Knight, all the while keeping Pulver in there and dishing out damage to him.
BRIAN SHELZI
It's a two fold plan. You either do your damnedest to keep the fresh man out and score a fall on the weakened one, or you beat up the partner so badly that the fresh man doesn't have anyone to tag out when his adrenaline dumps off.
Chrenshaw comes back in and goes for a suplex on Pulver, but he blocks it before the Crippler can even lift him. Pulver breaks free and goes for a forearm shot, but Chrenshaw ducks and snaps off a German suplex! He can't bridge it, but he goes for a pin after it anyway.

2...
...
NO!
Pulver kicks out, but Chrenshaw goes right back on the attack as he pulls Pulver up and snaps off a suplex. He rolls out of the ring, auto tagging AJ who comes back in and peels Pulver up off the mat. He looks down in disgust at his former friend...
PULVER BLASTS HIM WITH AN ELBOW!
AJ staggers back into the corner, Pulver gets up and closes in but AJ pops him with a shot of his own! The two start trading blows at an alarming rate as the crowd comes alive, Edwards is yelling for Pulver to tag him! Garner is trying to pull Pulver away, but Pulver shoves him! Chrenshaw grabs Pulver from behind and leads him away, but he too eats an elbow! Edwards gets in and grabs Pulver, spinning him around.... Pulver nearly unleashes an elbow but stops himself!
AJ DIVES FORWARD! HE SENDS PULVER INTO EDWARDS!
Edwards goes down, AJ school boys Pulver!

2...
...
3-NO!
Pulver powers out at the last possible second, sending AJ flying backwards. Edwards from the floor grabs Pulver and pulls him out, auto tagging himself in. He slides in, AJ gets up... the fans are hitting a fever pitch! AJ runs up, kicks him in the gut and pummels him with a series of elbows! Edwards manages to duck one, then levels AJ with consecutive palm strikes... he grabs his challenger and throws him into the ropes. He goes for the Concrete Chameleon, the spinning flying knee that put Irvine down and won him the King of Lions, but AJ grabs him in mid air and slams him down! AJ bounces off the ropes and kicks for the goal area, but Edwards drops back to the mat narrowly missing his own Violent Gospel kick. Edwards gets up, kicks AJ in the gut and clamps on a front chancery, he hooks the inside leg...
FOXFIRE!
The fisherman's brainbuster spikes AJ's head into the mat! Edwards grabs AJ's arms and lifts him up slightly, locking his legs around his neck and falling backwards... MYTH'S END! Pulver charges into the ring to intercept Chrenshaw as AJ fights the triangle choke!
THE BELL SOUNDS!
Pulver stops fighting and raises his hands, Edwards asks Garner if he tapped but Brady Rossen sheds light on the situation when he says the time limit has expired! The fans boo and begin a chant for five more minutes. Edwards releases the hold and gets to his feet, Pulver is clearly frustrated about the outcome after thinking they'd won. AJ slinks out of the ring as Chrenshaw stands up and pats Pulver on the back, he nods to Edwards and exits to the aisle where he waits for AJ.
SAM HEWITT
A hard fought match for both teams ends with the tag title scene no clearer than before. All four men fighting to the fifteen minute time limit, but what a match it was!
BRIAN SHELZI
No doubt about it, Sammy. Chrenshaw and Knight showed the world how polished a team they are and in my opinion, they're ready for the Demon Brigade. Edwards and Pulver are a fun team, but they've still got a ways to go before they're a polished unit. What's this?
Chrenshaw chuckles before dropping to his knees, AJ has gone over and grabbed the King of Lions belt from the timekeeper's table. Edwards rolls out of the ring and begins closing the distance...
A HOODED FIGURE SMASHES HIM FROM BEHIND!
AJ puts the belt down and gets ready to fight if need be as the hooded figure stands watching Edwards on the floor, he slowly removes the hood to reveal...
ALEXANDER IRVINE!
The crowd boos! AJ says he'll leave them two alone, but Irvine dashes after AJ too! This draws Chrenshaw's attention and he makes his way over, Pulver goes to check on Edwards but the crowd gasps once more as Carl Whitaker and the Heritage Heavyweight Champion Derek Draven enter the fray and begin pummelling everyone in sight! Irvine hops over the rail, ducking out of sight as the duo attacks Chrenshaw and AJ! Pulver sees what's going on and contemplates his move...
AND THE CROWD ROARS AS HE GETS UP TO MAKE THE SAVE!
Pulver attacks Draven, then Whitaker, trying to fight them off long enough to buy Chrenshaw and AJ some time to recover. AJ gets up and grabs Chrenshaw, helping him to his feet before he starts to walk off. Chrenshaw turns back and helps Pulver, but AJ stands back and watches to the boos of the crowd. AJ shrugs and turns around to walk up the aisle, but Justin Seville waylays him as he does!
SAM HEWITT
It's absolute chaos, but we're out of time! See you in two weeks!

EDWARDS BREAKS IT UP!

Lots of quick tags being utilized by Chrenshaw and Knight, all the while keeping Pulver in there and dishing out damage to him.

It's absolute chaos, but we're out of time! See you in two weeks!
