Pre-show: That Masked Guy and Capt Fizz are our hosts and they go over the card and do brief interviews with many of tonight’s participants. Here are some of the highlights:
-The review the semifinals for the PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament. They interview Jimmy Jive and James Daniels; the two appear to still be struggling to get on the same page with their differing opinions about bending the rules to win matches. The two appear to be agreement by the end of the interview and appear to be ready for their match with The East K Connection.
-Tony Columbo and the Brute Squad are out next and Tony tells our pre-show hosts that his men realize how formable their opponents in the semifinals of the tournament are. The Wrecking Brew are a formidable combination but Tony believes the Brute Squad are more than capable of defeating them and going on to become International Tag Team Champions.
-The hosts move onto the ladder match between Vlars and Alan Hunter to determine the next number one contender for the PWGP Global Title and review the best of five series between these two gentlemen that ended in a draw. Vlars comes out with Surf ‘n Turf in toe. He promises that he will win the ladder match tonight and warns Vod and Zaros if they don’t win the ten team gauntlet tonight that their partnership is done. Surf ‘n Turf have to scramble off after him as he marches off.
-The Guru comes out with all the members of his Family as our hosts start talking about the Television Title match between BOB and Axel Moros. The Guru states that the only reasons why BOB did not defeat Moros last week was because the time limit ran out. That wouldn’t happen here tonight because there’s a twenty minute time limit, plenty of the time in the Guru’s opinion to put this upstart away, plus he and the Technician have been working with BOB all week to get him prepared tonight’s title defense. Before they go, the Guru reminds us that the Moondogs have a previously won a gauntlet match and assures us all they’ll do it again tonight.
-A special attraction match was held featuring the Technician taking on Goober the Gooker. The Technician would win the match with a fisherman’s suplex to pick up his fourth point.
-Following the match our hosts discussed the tag team match between the Agents of Pain and the team of Faititili and Bryant Adam Thompson; the winners get to pick their spot in the gauntlet match, the loser are gone for thirty days. Neither team appear but we’re told that we’ll hear from all the members of Asper’s Army later on.
-The lucha quartet of Cielo Guerrera, Mosca de Loca, Lynx and Asterio appear together and talk about the gauntlet match with That Masked Guy and Capt Fizz. These matches are very common in Mexico, so thee two luchadore teams believe they have a huge advantage over the other teams. The four promise regardless of which team win they’re all going to party together tonight.
-The pre-show ends with the hosts talking about tonight’s main event, the PWGP Global Title bout between Eli Buchanan and Kraken. Before the hosts can analyse the encounter, Asper’s Army arrives. Saul Asper tells us all our intellectual savior has arrived and tells the hosts to be quiet while the real men speak. The Agents of Pain tell us they can’t wait to get their revenge on Thompson and Faititli for costing them the chance to become International Tag Team Champions and tells us once they’ve sent their opponents packing for thirty days they’ll choose to enter the gauntlet as team number ten and will go on to be huge winners in that match as well. “Iron” Mack Brody and True North Ant tell assure us they will make quick work of the Brute Squad and they don’t care who they face in the finals, they guarantee they will become International Tag Team Champions tonight. Asper finishes off with Kraken reminding all us how they left Eli Buchanan lying in the middle of the ring last week. Kraken has defeated Eli twice before and tonight it will happen a third time. By the end of the night, Asper assures all of us, his Army will be standing high with all the gold and all the glory.
-That Masked Guy and Capt Fizz thank us all for watching the pre-show and state they hope we enjoy “Glory Road”.

“Glory Days” by Bruce Springfield opens the show and we go live from Rimrock Auto Arena in Billings, Montana. Our announce team of Greg Stradford and “Big Bad” Paul Carlyle welcome us to PWGP: Glory Road. Stradford thanks the pre-show hosts for going over the card tonight and both agree that it’s going to be a heck of a show this evening. They quickly turn it over to our ring announcer, Nick Christoulos for the opening match introductions.
MATCH 1
PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament Semifinal
The Brute Squad (Son of Brute and Mini Brute, w/ Tony Columbo)
vs
Wrecking Brew (“Iron” Mack Brody and True North Ant)
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
Prior to the match it’s discussed by our announce team about how quickly True North Ant and Mack Brody have become a cohesive unit. Both men have had championship success in tag teams, Brody with both the Technician and Kraken, and TNA with a wrestler named Philly Cheese Snake.
The match itself was a hard hitting affair between two teams eveningly matched up. It would start with much stalling from the Wrecking Brew but soon turned into a brawl as Son of Brute and Brody started and neither man would stand down, leading to Son clotheslining Brody over the top rope. Brody would tag TNA in who wanted to face Mini Brute. The two of them put on a wrestling clinic, much to the delight of the crowd. Much like his partner, Mini would seem to get the better of the exchange but Brody would rush in to blindside him, allowing his partner to take control.
For the next several minutes Wrecking Brew would work over Mini and use frequent tags. They seemed to have the smaller member of the Brute Squad on the ropes, but Mini managed to take advantage a botched lariat from TNA on Brody to make the tag to Son. The big man started clearing house, taking both members of Wrecking Brew down with clotheslines and slams, but it wasn’t long before the action broke down and all four members of the match were in the ring brawling. The finish would see the Brute Squad go for their assisted cannonball senton but Brody pulled TNA to safety at the last moment. In the confusion Asper jumped up on the apron and spun Son’s mask around, leading to Brody lariating him over the top rope and Wrecking Brew put Mini away with the Doomsday Device.
Winners: and advancing to the tournament finals, The Wrecking Brew.
Following the match, Asper celebrated with his team on the stage while Tony helped Son of Brute fix his mask and they both checked on Mini Brute. It appears that he’s hurt and it’s in question whether or not the Brute Squad will be able to participate in the tag team gauntlet later tonight.
***
In the back we see the East K Connection getting ready. Alan Hunter comes in and the three greet each other. Alan wishes Easy E and Sweet Daddy D luck tonight in the tournament. The members of EKC return the good vibes, wishing him all the best against Vlars later tonight in the ladder match and they talk about going out after the event to celebrate with Eli Buchanan. EKC excuse themselves and they head down to the ring for their match.

MATCH 2
PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament Semifinal
East K Connection (Sweet Daddy D and Easy E)
vs
“High Five” Jimmy Jive and James Daniels
(Referee: Jose Doe)
While the action gets ready to begin we’re reminded that the East K Connection have known each other most of their lives and have been a very successful tag team throughout western Canada and the United States. Meanwhile despite being father and son, Jive and Daniels have only been wrestling together a brief time and the announcers questions whether they’re really on the same page.
At the beginning of the match both teams showed each other respect with handshakes all around. This show of mutual respect was soon put at the test as Easy E and James Daniels started the match and the masked man began showcasing his athletic ability, hip-tossing the rookie Daniels around the ring and frustrating the young man with his zany antics. Daniels would jab Easy E in the eye with his thumb but would immediately called out over it by his father, who ordered Daniels to tag him in and then allowed Easy E to tag in his partner.
Sweet Daddy D and Jimmy Jive would wrestle back and forth, and the older competitor showed he was more than capable of keeping up with his younger opponent, countering almost everything that the Sweetner tried. Daniels would tag himself back in, much to his father’s chigrin, and would try to follow up on what his father had done. Unfortunately for him, Sweet Daddy D easily bested him and tagged in Easy E. East K Connection would show over the next few minutes why they have been so successful in their careers, with a series of well timed tags and double team offense. More than once Jive had to get involved in the match to break up pin attempts and finally had to resort to dragging his son into their corner so he could get the tag.
Jimmy Jive would come back in and hold his own against both members of EKC until his son jumped back into the ring and the match broke down. During the chaos Jive would hit the Hang Ten on Easy E and went for the pin. Easy E would get his foot on the ropes and much like he had done two weeks ago, Daniels ran over and knocked his foot off the rope. Jive saw what happened this time and broke the pin. The father and son would start arguing with each other and the East K Connection would take advantage hitting Jive with a double super, that knocked him out of the ring. Easy E would hit a the Seventh Move of Thunder on Daniels and picked up the pin.
Winners: and advancing to the tournament finals, The East K Connection
Following the match Jive showed how disappointed he was in the result. Daniels rolled out of the ring to argue with him but he simply walked away. Meanwhile back in the ring the East K Connection’s celebration was cut short as the Wrecking Brew hit the ring and attacked both men with chairs, laying them out before officials could make it in to stop them. As trainers checked on Easy E and Sweet Daddy D, the Wrecking Brew celebrated with Asper on the stage as if they had won the International Tag Team Titles already.

MATCH 3
Faititili and Bryant Adam Thompson
vs
The Agents of Pain (Agent B and Agent D, w/ Saul Asper)
-Losers leave PWGP for 30 days
-Asper’s Army is banned from ringside
-Winners advance to the Tag Team Gauntlet
(Referee: Mark Lindsey)
Officials come out at the beginning of the contest and remove a protesting Saul Asper from ringside. The Agents are upset by the decision but the stipulation clearly states that all members of Asper’s Army are banned from ringside and that includes Saul Asper himself. Faititili and Thompson wave goodbye to him as he’s dragged away and the Agents of Pain attack them from behind leading to the start of the match.
Right from the start it becomes clear why Lindsey was picked to officiate as we would out from our announcers that he’s been given permission to let all four men loose and just count the pinfall. The four men brawl around the ring. At one point Thompson and Faititli dump the Agents out of the ring and hit stereo dives to the arena floor. Rather than bring the action back into the ring, all four men continued fighting on the floor.
The match would take a dramatic turn when the Agents of Pain managed to get Faititili alone for a moment and hit their double team Flapjack on the ringside barricade. With the Samoan warrior incapacitated, the Agents turned their attention to Thompson. There was nothing pretty about their tactics, they simple smashed Thompson into the barricades and ring posts before chucking him into the ring and stomping away. Rather than try to put the match away quickly, they would continue to punish him.
Meanwhile, Faititili was recovering on the floor. He slowly crawled towards the ring and tried to get in but was knocked off the apron by the Agents of Pain. Agents B and D would decide to put Thompson away and went for the Flap Jack. Thompson countered with a Double DDT but wasn’t able to capitalize because of the beating he had taken. Agent D was the first of the three to get to his feet, but he ate a superkick from Faititili, who finally had managed to get in the ring. He would hit a second superkick, this time to Agent B. He and Thompson would climb to opposite corners to hit their finishers, but were both knocked down by the Agents.
Agent D signalled to his partner that he was going to put Thompson away. While Agent B kept Faititli at bay, Agent D picked Thompson up and went for the choke bomb. Thompson reversed it into a roll up, and with Faititli holding onto Agent B, picked up the three count.
Winners: Bryant Adam Thompson and Faititili
Thompson and Faititili immediately rolled out of the ring to safety and had their hands raised by Mark Lindsey on the floor. Agent D sat up looked over at his partner with a shocked look on his face realizing what just happened. Security started making their way down to the ring to escort the Agents out of the arena. They protested and tried to break away, fighting the security off. Faititli and Thompson both hit flying crossbody blocks on the Agents and helps the security handcuff them. With both of them screaming in protest the Agents of Pain were then dragged out of the arena, much to the crowd’s delight.

MATCH 4
PWGP Television Title Match
BOB (champion, 7 points, w/ The Guru)
vs
Axel Moros (2 points)
(Referee: Jose Doe)
Prior to the match we’re remind how these two met last week during the Guru’s challenge, where he alleged BOB would be able to defeat three contenders within the ten minute time limit. BOB made quick work of Orville Newton, and thanks to the interference of the Agents of Pain, Faititili never got the opportunity to compete. When Axel Moros appeared, few knew who we was but he managed to stand toe-to-toe with BOB for the remainder of the match with neither able to get a clear advantage. THe BUAC made the decision to make this return match.
BOB came down to the ring with the Guru and all the other members of their stable to await Moros’s arrival. The Bayside Behemoth, however, chose to come through the crowd and slid into the ring. He spun BOB around and the two began fighting. BOB connected with a couple of stiff kicks to Moros’s gut, staggering the tattooed man. He charged at Moros but was caught up in a fireman’s carry. Moros spun BOB around a couple of times and to the shock and delight of the crowd hit a cartwheel style Death Valley Driver, dropping all his weight onto BOB’s midsection. Moros quickly covered the champ and hooked a leg. The Moondogs tried to scramble in the ring to break up the cover but it was too late. Moros got the stunning three count within just seconds of the start of the match. He quickly rolled out of the ring was handed the Television Title by Jose Doe.
Winner: and NEW PWGP Television Champion, Axel Moros
The Guru is livid over what has just happened and demands that the match restarts, claiming BOB was blindsided and wasn’t prepared yet. All this falls on deaf ears as Axel Moros walks up the ramp with the Television Title. He waves at the Guru and his clients before stepping into the back.
***
That Masked Guy is back and with PWGP Global Champion Eli Buchanan. He notes the stitches in Buchanan’s forehead and asks him how he’s feeling going into this match. Eli states he’s feeling fine and he’s medically cleared to compete here today. He’s asked about facing a Kraken, an individual who not only holds two victories over him, but someone who has never been pinned or submitted since arriving in PWGP. Eli admits he has a tall task ahead of him this evening but he knows no one knows Kraken as well as he does. Kraken will be slain here tonight, Buchanan informs us before walking away to finish his preparations.

Match 5
Ladder Match
Alan Hunter
vs
Vlars
-The winner to be awarded 10 points and a PWGP Global Title Match
Ladders surround the ring. This match is the conclusion of a best of five series between the two competitors; each had one two matches but the fifth match ended in a double disqualification. Above the ring hangs the contract for the Global Title Match.
The two are getting ready to lock up when suddenly Vod and Zaros slide into the ring and attack Hunter from behind. The two of them double team him while Vlars stands back and watches. Vod picks Hunter up for a powerbomb and Zaros leaps off the top rope with a blockbuster for the Into the Sea combination.
BUAC Spokesman, Robert Fredrick walks out and with members of security. He states he will not allow this beatdown to continue and orders Vod and Zaros out of the ring. Otherwise they forfeit their spot in the gauntlet and this match will be rewarded to Hunter. Vlars tells Surf ‘n Turf to leave and the rookie team are escorted to the back by security.
Vlars slides out of the ring and grabs a ladder. He slides it into the ring and sets it up beneath the contract and begins climbing. He’s almost all the way to the top when Hunter finally gets to his feet and shoves the ladder over. Vlars lands chest first across the top rope. Hunter folds the ladder up and bashes Vlars with it several times before tossing it out of the ring and grabbing another. He slides it into the ring but Vlars has enough in him to hit a sliding dropkick into it, knocking both the ladder and Hunter back to the floor.
Vlars slides out of the ring and picks up the ladder. He drapes it over the ring apron and the barricade. He tries to bash Hunter’s head on it but Hunter blocks it and smashes his head into it instead. Alan Hunter tries to suplex Vlars on the ladder but the Puke Bucket God blocks it. He lifts Hunter up and drops Hunter chest first on the ladder with a gordbuster.
With Hunter down, Vlars grabs a third ladder and slides it into the ring. He sets it up and begins to climb it. Hunter manages to get back into the ring and crawls towards the ladder. Vlars is half way up the ladder when Alan Hunter grabs his foot and pulls him down, hitting a reverse atomic drop in the process. Hunter begins climbing the ladder but Vlars recovers quickly and pulls him down right. He tries to go for the Puke Bucket Stunner but Hunter counters it into a neckbreaker that leaves both men down on the mat.
Both men slowly begin to stir and both crawl towards the ladder and begin climbing it from opposing sides. The crowd begins cheering as a race of sorts to see who will reach the top first. Vlars makes it up first to the contract, but Hunter smacks it out of his hands and punches him. The two of them start exchanging blows. Hunter smashes Vlars’s head repeatedly and he falls to the mat. Hunter grabs the contract and pulls it down to be declared the winner, but he’s not done. He climbs on top of the ladder and with Vlars lying prone below, jumps off and hits a Swanton to put the exclamation mark on his victory.
Winner: Alan Hunter (awarded 10 points)

MATCH 6
10 Team Tag Gauntlet
(Referee: Mark Lindsey)
Fall 1
Things Uno and Dos
vs
Jack Helm and Pierre the Masked Canadian
We’re told prior to the match starting that Mini Brute has not been cleared to compete and the Things are taking their place in the gauntlet. There was a lot of silliness at the beginning of this fall as Pierre and the Things played around and acted like they were the Three Stooges. The tone quickly changed though when Helm got into the match and used his technical prowess to ground and work over Thing Uno. Unfortunately for Helm though, he and Pierre could not seem to get on the same page and this eventually led to the Things getting the better of them with a top rope sunset flip for the pinfall.
Winners of Fall 1: The Things
Out next were Paul Rod and Jeremy Squire, two men who have had their share of problems recently with the Things on PWGP’s pre-shows. Unlike Jack and Pierre during the first fall, the team of Squire and Rodd worked far better together and controlled things for the better part of the encounter. It was the old switcheroo by the Things that led to Rod getting pinned with a small package.
Winner of Fall 2: The Things
Asterio and Lynx came out as team four. This fall came down to conditioning as the Things had already wrestled two matches and the luchadores were fresh. Try as they might Things Uno and Dos simply couldn’t keep up with their Mexican opponents and Dos was pinned by Lynx following a Shooting Star Press.
Winners of Fall 3: Lynx and Asterio
The Big O and Orville Newton, known collectively as O2, came out as team five. The match began well for the luchadore duo with Orville in the ring but once Big O got in the tide changed completely. Try as they might Lynx and Asterio were simply no match for the Big O and it wasn’t long before Lynx was powerslammed to the mat and Big O launched Orville off the top rope with a splash for the victory.
Winners of Fall 4: O2
The Moondogs, Buster and Runt, come out as team six, along with their manager The Guru. Big O and Orville Newton appeared to have this fall well in hand in the early goings, but the Guru’s men were clearly hoping to turn things around for their faction. Moondog Buster took advantage of a referee distraction to club Big O over the head with his bone, allowing Runt to pick up the victory with a running headbutt to Orville’s gut and a pinfall.
Winners of Fall 5: The Moondogs
Team AMLL, Cielo Guerrera and Mosca de Loca, are team seven. This is a rematch of sorts from the first round of the International Tag Team Title Tournament and both teams remember very well what occured in that bout. The action went back and forth but it would be a stereo dives from the luchadores that would lead to the finish, with Mosca picking up the victory over Runt with a moonsault.
Winners of Fall 6: Team AMLL
Jimmy Jive and James Daniels are team eight and they’re still arguing as they make their way down to the ring about what happened earlier in the evening. This would lead to their downfall as the luchadores took advantage of the situation to hit another double dive. They would control much of the action, working over Jive. When he finally manages to go for the tag, his son dropped off the apron and walked away, yelling that he was tired of his dad not trying to win, leaving Jive to be pinned by Guerrera with a victory roll.
Winners of Fall 7: Team AMLL
The lights would flicker in the arena and when they came back up, GRIM and Jin Hiria were in the ring. Team nine wasted no time attacking their opponents. What followed looked less like a wrestling match and more like the makings of a horror film, as Jin and GRIM did their best to rip their luchadores matches and bloodied them both in the process. Guerrera and Mosca would fight back and looked to be on their way to winning the fall when GRIM sprayed the black mist in Mosca’s eyes and pinned the luchadore with a running kick.
Winners of Fall 8: The Demon Brigade
It was up to the gauntlets last participants, Faittitili and Bryant Adam Thompson, to try to prevent the Demon Brigade from walking away from the night victorious. Both of them were still feeling the affects of their match with the Agents of Pain earlier in the evening and it appeared for several minutes that they would soon fall to the Japanese team, much like Team AMLL had just did. The finish would see Jin accidently spear his partner, leading to GRIM being knocked out of the ring. Faititili would hit Jin with a superkick, which allowed Thompson to hit the Bat Outta Hell to pick up the pinfall and gauntlet victory.
Winners of Fall 9 and the Tag Team Gauntlet: Faititli and Bryant Adam Thompson
***
Robert Fredrick and his assistant, Deedee Ganon, along with several members of the BUAC and other dignitaries, are at ringside for the start of the match.
MATCH 7
PWGP International Tag Team Title Tournament Finals
The East K Connection (Easy E and Sweet Daddy D)
vs
The Wrecking Brew (“Iron” Mack Brody and True North Ant, w/ Saul Asper)
(Referee: Jose Doe)
Prior to the match there is a photo taken with Robert Fredrick and both teams with the tag team belts. Both members of East K Connection have athletic tape on their shoulders, a sign of the attack they suffered at the hands of the Wrecking Brew earlier in the evening. It was obvious that Saul and his men were unhappy to see Jose Doe officiating the match but Fredrick refused to budge about making a change.
In the earlier going of the match of the match both members of the East K Connection fought off pure passion, blocking out the pain in an effort to get back at the Wrecking Brew for their earlier attack. Brody and TNA absorbed all their punishment and when an opening showed itself, used it to take control. Sweet Daddy D’s head was smashed into the ring post outside the ring and the Wrecking Brew began to work over Easy E in the middle of the ring.
Despite doing nothing during the contest to antagonise him, True North Ant would constantly get into Jose Doe’s face whenever he was in the ring. He and Brody made frequent tags, working over Easy E’s injured left shoulder to weaken him further for one of their finishing moves. Meanwhile Sweet Daddy D had made his way back onto the apron and was trying to get the fans unto the match, stomping on the apron to get them to clap along. This seemed to energize his masked partner and he tried to make a come back, but Easy E was leveled by a lariat by True North Ant that nearly took his head off and led to a two count.
It would be the continuous issues True North Ant had with Jose Doe that led to the tide changing. He went for a pinfall on Easy E following a running slam, but Easy E got his foot on the ropes. When Doe pointed this out to him, True North Ant got up and shoved him, leading to the referee shoving him back. This would give Easy E the opening to hit a desperation jawbreaker roll to his corner to tag in Sweet Daddy D, who came in and started clearing house. He hit several slams on both True North Ant, and more impressively, on Mack Brody, before climbing to the top rope and hitting a flying elbow smash on Brody. He would go for the pin but TNA would break it up.
Easy E would come back into the ring and the action would break down. All four men would begin fighting in the ring. In the middle of the chaos True North Ant picked Easy E up and hit the Red River Plunge but Doe refused to make the count since Sweet Daddy D was the legal man. True North Ant would try to deck the referee, but Jose Doe ducked and hit an atomic drop, which caused TNA to walk right into a superkick from Sweet Daddy D. Brody would try to interfere, but Sweet Daddy D sidestepped him and tossed him over the top rope. He tagged Easy E back into the match and Easy E would come off the top rope with a leg drop to get the pinfall victory.
Winners: and the first ever PWGP International Tag Team Champions, The East K Connection
The crowd erupts as Sweet Daddy D and Easy E are handed the International Tag Team Titles. The childhood friends help each other put on their championships and raise each others hands in victory. Meanwhile on the floor, Saul Asper is absolutely livid and is yelling in True North Ant’s face; he and Brody walk off, leaving the angry former ManitobANT staring at the new champions in frustration.
***
Prior to the main event, Nick Christoulos brings our attention to special guest in attendance, professional wrestling legend, Larry “Mad Dog” Moody. During the height of his career, he was one of the most reviled men to ever compete, but age has mellowed him out quite a bit and he’s given a standing ovation by the crowd.
Kraken comes out first for the main event, along with his manager, Saul Asper, who is still stinging over the night his Army has had so far. We’re reminded once more that Kraken has been almost unstoppable since PWGP’s inception, never having been pinned or made to submit. He pinned Eli Buchanan on the very first episode of PWGP CHARGE and has on several occasions since then left his former mentor lying in the middle of the ring. Will this be the night he finally becomes PWGP Global Champion, a prize he felt was stolen from him at “Battle Bowl” in January?
Eli Buchanan comes out next, accompanied tonight by Tony Columbo. This is by far the biggest test of Buchanan’s reign as Global Champion. He has previously defended the title against Faititili and True North Ant, two of the three men in PWGP who previously held pinfall victories against him. Some have felt that he has been lucky to be champion, because of how he managed to gain a spot in the battle royal at “Battle Bowl” in January. That night he managed to eliminate Kraken to win the championship, but can he do the one thing that on two separate occasions he didn’t even come close to accomplishing, pinning or making Kraken submit?
MAIN EVENT
MATCH 8
PWGP Global Title Match
Eli Buchanan (w/ Tony Columbo)
vs
Kraken (w/ Saul Asper)
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
The French Canadian Colossus is completely caught off guard as Eli Buchanan charges him right at the bell and hits a running knee strike that staggers him into the ropes. Eli tries to follow up with a Chaos Driver, but Kraken’s too big for him to lift and falls on top of him. Roller drops to the mat to count the fall and Eli just manages to kick out before three. Saul Asper jumps up on the apron to argue with Roller, telling him it was three, but the referee shakes his head and insists on the two count.
Eli appears hurt following what has just happened and Kraken capitalizes by mauling him. He rains down with a series of punches while Eli is still on the mat, before lifting him up and throwing him into the corner, where he pounds away with repeated body punches, finished off with a blow to the side of his head. Kraken tries to follow up with an avalanche splash in the corner, but Eli dodges and the big man goes chest first into the top turnbuckle. Eli tries for a German suplex but he’s still in pain from the opening moments of the match and Kraken counters with a elbow shot to the face, followed up with ugly looking clothesline. He goes for the cover and once again Eli only just manages to kick out a two.
With Saul Asper shouting out encouragement to him, Kraken spends the next few minutes picking Eli apart with an all out assault. He mocks Eli, easily tossing him around with German suplexes and slamming him to the mat as if he weighed almost nothing at all. The French Canadian Colossus continues toss him into the corners of the ring and pound away with body blows, wearing the champion down. He wraps his arms around Eli and starts squeezing him with a him with a bear hug and it looks like Eli might pass out to the move. Out of an act of sheer desperation, Eli rakes Kraken’s eyes. When that doesn’t work, he jabs a thumb into his right eye and Kraken finally releases the hold. Eli would somehow find the energy to hit a running lariat clothesline, but Kraken would barely move. He would try for a second one, but Kraken would grab him by the throat and hit a thunderous leg trap chokeslam and cover him. 1… 2… KICK OUT!
Saul Asper is beside himself in disbelief. Kraken looks to him for instruction as what to do and Asper yells at him to do it again. The French Canadian Colossus lifts the champion by his throat and goes for a second leg trap chokeslam, but Eli turns it into an attempted triangle choke. Kraken seems in trouble for a moment but her is simply too big for Eli to put the submission on properly. He lifts Eli straight up and turns the triangle choke into a power bomb and you can hear the crowd groan, feeling the champion’s pain. Kraken goes for the cover again. 1...2… KICK OUT!
Kraken doesn’t even wait for Asper to tell him to follow up. He grabs Eli and drags him closer to the corner. He slowly starts climbing to the top rope and starts yelling at the crowd in French. He finally chooses to go for moonsault but there’s no one in the pool, as Eli manages to roll out of the way. Asper is livid. Both men are now down. Tony Columbo is beating the apron, trying to encourage Eli to get back into the match.
Andrew Roller starts the ten count as both men continue to remain unmoving on the mat. Much to Asper’s delight, it’s Kraken who is the first to stir and he slowly gets up onto his knees. Eli is up as well and suddenly explodes with a Boya Me knee strike. Kraken topples over and Eli goes for the cover. 1...2… Kraken tosses Eli off him before the count of three. He sits up and tries to get to his feet, but Eli somehow finds the energy to hit a second Boya Me, striking this foe to the back of the head. He goes for the cover but Kraken tosses him off again before he can get the three.
Now it’s Eli Buchanan’s turn to wonder what he has to do to put the big man away. He sets up for a third Boya Me, but Kraken catches his leg and hits a second chokeslam. Kraken cups his head rather than go for the cover, clearly groggy from the two knee strikes. He pulls Eli to his feet and drags him to the corner. Kraken climbs up on the second rope and sits on the top turnbuckle. He grabs Eli by the throat and makes it clear he intends to chokeslam him from the top middle rope. Eli knocks his hand away headbutts Kraken below the chin, then grabbing the dazed big man, manages to pick him up and hit the Chaos Driver!
The crowd pops. No one can believe what we’ve just seen, especially Saul Asper. He jumps back up on the apron and starts shouting at Kraken to get it. Tony Columbo waddles around the ring to confront him and pulls him down. The manager of the Brute Squad gets a little piece of revenge for his men by smacking the taste out of Asper’s mouth and tossing him, head over heels into the ring steps.
Meanwhile back in the ring, Eli Buchanan climbs to the top rope and hits a frog splash. Despite the amount of pain he’s in, Eli somehow finds the strength to climb to the top rope and hit a second frog splash. He goes for the cover, doing his best to hook the far leg. 1...2...3…!
Winner: and STILL PWGP Global Champion, Eli Buchanan
The sold out Rimrock Auto Arena comes unglued, having just witnessed nothing short of a herculean feat by man knowns as the Last Dragon. Eli Buchanan slowly gets to his feet with the help of Tony Columbo and is awarded his PWGP Global Title by Andrew Roller. He grabs his championship and goes to stand on the middle turnbuckle, lifting it above his head in victory.
A commotion from in the crowd catches the cameraman’s attention. A hooded figure leaps over the barricade and slides into the ring. As Eli steps down from the turnbuckle and turns around, the hooded figure throws a fireball right his face. Eli immediately goes down in pain, clutching his face. Tony calls for help as the champion screams out in pain. The hooded figure escapes back through the crowd before security can get to him.
We go off the air with the image of trainers coming to Eli’s aide, covering his face with a wet towel. We’re left wondering what exactly just happened here and what does it mean for PWGP and our champion…
