EARLIER TODAY The entrance of the Pollo Hall in Oshawa
The newly crowned King of Lions World's Heavyweight Champion is seen entering the arena and is mobbed by several reporters as he does. CHET BUTLER Chet Butler, Wrestling Odyssey. AJ, you first match since winning the King of Lions is against the new Heritage Heavyweight Champion, Bam Markham. The match of course of the one of the most heavily marketed in the Laurentide Cup as it's only the second time the top two champions have faced off. Certainly this is not just an important match for you, but Lion's Road as a whole. Do you feel there's any special pressure on you to win this match, given you have finally won the title, and are going against a man who won gold in his first match, to prove yourself the top star in Lion's Road.AJ shakes his head and smirks. AJ KNIGHT Always a pressure Chetty Chetty Bang Bang. Look, Bam is a damn fine competitor, I can't deny that. I know better than anybody how hard it is to win a title here, and he did it in his first match. But here's the thing: He lucked his way into that opportunity. Draven spit on the title and so Bam got the shot in his first match. Now credit where it's due, he won the match but right now the pressure's on him. The man makes the championship, the championship doesn't make the man. I was the man before I won this belt and I'm going to show him why the world was talking about me before I won the belt, why they're still talking about me after I won it, and why they'll be talking about me long after I'm gone.Another reporter of Japanese descent approaches him next as he brushes by. HIROSHI TANAKA Hiroshi Tanaka, for the Rising Sun Observer. How does it feel knowing that in a mere 2 days you will be facing the Lord Zenki? How do you prepare for a challenge like nothing you've seen in America?
AJ actually looks like he's stifling a laugh. AJ KNIGHT Trust me bro, we have guys like Zenki in America, but I can understand why you're confused. See here we don't call them "My Lord" we call them "Asshole" so you know of course there's a bit of a language barrier there. Now see a Demon Lord would have known that our match was happening in Canada not (AJ does an overly intense impression of what was said in Zenki's promo) "America: Land of the Cheeseburger"! Look Zenki, you need to understand something man: America is not the name for any country that isn't Japan. Maybe instead of playing with action figures you could read a damn book? Cheeseburgers aren't the go to here, it's poutine. Now excuse me, Hiroki.
Tanaka looks offended by AJ's bravado. HIROSHI TANAKA HIROSHI! And you speak Blasphemy! AJ KNIGHT Fluently. Now as I was saying, Zenki doesn't represent what's great about Japan, or anything good about Japan. He represents what's wrong with the world in general. Xenophobia, intolerance, and cheap ass Halloween masks! He's a cheat. He's a liar. He's nothing but smoke and mirrors, and I'm going to expose that once and for all. Not only am I going to beat Zenki's ass Saturday, but I'm going to have some fun at his expense, I'm going to show Zenki that all of his slight of hand doesn't faze me. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a match to prepare for.

"ASK HIM, POWELL! ASK HIM!"The raspy roar of Mike Musket is the first thing we hear coming back from commercial break, he lays on the mat with his thighs wrapped around Justin Seville's neck. The Serious One brings his hands up, trying to push the legs off to escape but creates enough room that he's able to kip up and out of the hold. He spins around only to get locked into a side headlock! SAM HEWITT Just when Seville thought he was free of Musket's grip, the first ever MAX Heavyweight Champion grabs him again and clamps down. BRIAN SHELZI That's exactly what Musket should be doing! He's fifty five years old! He's definitely the oldest person to compete here in Lion's Road, but the fact is that despite his age, he's still finding success. That's not a negative against opponents, it's a big testament to his abilities as an in-ring competitor and when you've been in this sport for thirty six years - you've had A LOT of time to fine tune your game. SAM HEWITT Yes, sir. Musket made his debut in 1982 which predates the birth of a lot of fighters on our roster. The Mountain Man is shot into the ropes by Seville, but ducks the Serious One's attack on the rebound. Musket turns around and blasts Seville with a chop to the chest, then offers up some more - blistering the chest of the North Carolina native as he does! He backs Seville into the ropes, then shoots him across... LIFTS HIM UP! DELAYS.... BACKBREAKER HEARD 'ROUND THE WORLD! SAM HEWITT My, oh my - they might've heard that on the other side of Lake Ontario! Seville rolls on the mat, holding his back in pain as Musket struggles to get to his feet. The backbreaker not a good thing to be doing to his knees at his age, but he gets up and raises his arm to get the crowd's support behind him again. Seville gets up on his knees, his back to Musket... who dips back into the corner and waits! Seville steps up and turns around... AND EATS A LARIAT! Musket drops down, hooks a leg... 1... ... 2... ... 3! He rolls off and out to the floor where Powell goes out and raises his hand, Musket throws up three fingers as a graphic pops up.

Becky Chande is standing-by with a guest, Joe Stanton. The fans cheer and applaud for him. Already dressed for the ring, Stanton carries with him his various championships. The IJPW Death Crown Championship and the Grindhouse Wrestling Tag Team Championship are around his waist, and the WARPED Wrestling FnX Championship’s on his shoulder. He nods to her as a sort of greeting and cracks a cheeky grin. ”Ladies and gentlemen, Becky Chande here and with me at this time is Joe Stanton.”Stanton nods again and he waves playfully to the camera. ”Joe, you’ve been traveling around the world, wrestling around the world this past year. You’ve worked for a lot of promotions in just that time alone. I’ve heard news, like I’m sure many others have, of several promotions having interest in you besides the ones you’ve worked for too. So I got to ask, why have you come to Lion’s Road?”Excitedly Becky recounts what Stanton’s been up to in 2018 and he pops his eyebrows as if he didn’t really think about what he’s been up to. A faux bashfulness overcomes him when she mentions some promotions vying for booking him. ”I’ve had my eye on Lion’s Road for a while if I’m being candid. Back when I first noticed it, I was under contract with a global wrestling promotion that meant outside appearances weren’t really a thing. But I always had it in my head that at some point I wanted to work for Lion’s Road. I wanted to work with some of the incredible talent that’s on this roster. It’s why after becoming a free agent and the planets aligned, I jumped at the opportunity to get in on this tournament.”Stanton pauses, turning so that he’s looking Becky in the eye. ”Because if you’re not always pushing yourself, if you’re not always looking for that next great fight, what’s the point of being in this profession? If you’re not always trying to improve yourself, you’re stagnating, you’ve peaked. Once you’ve been in the business long enough, the only way to keep improving, the only way to find that challenge of a fresh fight is to throw yourself head first into new places. Familiarity leads to something being comfortable, something being comfortable leads to you slipping.”The Scarlet Speedster feints to ask Becky his question but he turns to the camera and he explains the answer to everyone. Tapping the side of his head when he’s finished his point. ”So, does that mean we can expect to see Joe Stanton full time with the company after this tournament?”Not letting a good scoop slip by her, Becky asks the question on anyone watching this’s mind. Joe chuckles and he glances back at her, looking between the camera and her. ”That’s for the powers that be to decide, I wager. I’m always willing to stick around but I know that I have to impress them first before they’re going to slide me a full time deal. Why I plan to show them what I’m certain a lot of people already know about me, that it doesn’t matter what position on the card my match is or who my opponent is that night. When you book me, you will get the absolute best performance from me every single night.”The intro to "Over" by Drake plays as the crowd begins to buzz. When the first verse hits, the lights flash in shades of gold and white, as Billy Danielson bursts out, arms wide as he soaks in the crowd reaction! The arena is filled with a mix of cheers and jeers! Billy hypes up the crowd as he starts to walk down the aisle! Joe glares at Billy, as he walks down to the ringside area. He takes the microphone he was holding, and puts it to his lips. ”Okay Geronimo Stilton, or whatever your name is, we’ve heard enough from you. Nobody cares about what you have to say on twitter, or here in Oshawa, so run back to the locker room, because the your future Laurentide Cup winner has something to say!”Billy motions for Joe to leave, and gets ready to make his big statement. Before Billy can say anything though, Joe pulls Billy’s microphone away from his mouth, and gets in Billy’s face. ”Is toolbag your default setting or can we switch you back to your factory settings?”Stanton asks in a genuine sounding tone, eyeballing Billy. He gestures to Becky beside him as if Billy might have somehow been able to miss her. ”I know your ego makes it hard to see anyone else besides yourself but this young lady was conducting an interview before you decided to interrupt it.”Becky looks like she’s in between a rock and a hard place, not particularly wanting to earn Billy’s ire but she was trying to do her job. The fans applaud the sentiment Joe has and he looks the intruder in the eye. ”If you’re half as big of a deal as you like to think you are, I’m sure you can arrange time on the show for you to speak later on. So how about you scoot to the back and ask for it from management?”Now it’s Joe’s turn to motion to Billy to leave. Billy laughs at Joe’s motion, and pretends to wipe a tear away from his eye. He begins to speak. ”Here’s the thing John, we all know all the generic stuff you’re going to say already. ‘I love being here in Lion’s Road’, ‘I think I can win, but everyone in my block sure is good’, ‘Blah blah blah, I think I’m a cool guy from a place nobody cares about’. You’re nobody special, and if it wasn’t for the fact that I KNEW that you weren’t going to make it out of your block, I’d at least say that I couldn’t wait to wipe your generic all over the Laurentide finals.”Billy goes to put his finger in Joe’s face, but turns away from Joe as if he isn’t worth Billy’s time. ”You see, now that I am here in Lion’s Road, I’m on a warpath, and I’m not going to let some Average Joe (see what I did there) waste my time, nor the time of these fans. They’ll have enough pee breaks when AJ Knight is wrestling. I’m the guy that’s going towin the Laurentide Cup, and I’m the person that should be getting interviewed right now”It’s hard to tell if Joe’s corpsing or what, because he grins halfway through Billy’s response. His shoulders even shake with the tell tale sign of a laugh brewing. The Scarlet Speedster looks up to the skies and nods his head a few times, as if some higher power’s speaking to him. Or, maybe he’s asking whatever did he do to deserve this. ”Alright…”Taking a deep inhale and an equally deep exhale, Stanton nods one last time as he concedes to Billy. The fans are a little surprised by this. Becky’s a little surprised by this too! Joe lowers his head so that he’s looking Billy in the eye again and he shrugs. ”You sure put me in my place just now. I see things clearly, thank you for that.”Stanton bows his head in gratitude to Billy and he continues with this weirdly sincere tone, pacing around the ring. ”I’ll let you have the floor.”The One Punch Man shrugs his shoulders and he tilts his head into it, wetting his lips and passing the microphone to Becky. He throws up his hands to show he comes in peace when he moves to leave the ring and let Billy have it to himself. Noticeably rolling his eyes as he nears passing him. Billy grabs Joe’s arm, and spins him around. Billy gets right into his face and he smirks, Joe cocking an eyebrow. ”You don’t get to leave, unless I tell you to.”They still stare at each other, no other words are said. Billy aggressively punts Joe between the legs and grabs him, hitting the Class Ceiling Breaker! Becky’s horrified and backs away as Billy gets back up, grabbing the microphone. ”You are dismissed, Jared Strickland.”Billy bounces the microphone off of Joe’s head and starts stomping on him to boos that are steadily rising from the fans! Officials hit the ring and restrain Billy and check on Joe, Billy spitting on Joe before he’s pulled too far away from him.

Pat Cross stuffs the six inch shorter Joe Stanton between his legs, looking for a powerbomb - the very same move that fell Alexander Irvine in Cross' debut weeks ago. However, Stanton doesn't feel like being powerbombed on this particular day and backdrops the Alaskan native. The Scarlet Speedster from Chicago falls forward, catching himself on the ropes. He turns and watches Cross begin the ascent back up to his feet and when he gets to one knee, Stanton charges to the other side of the ring and leaps onto the middle rope, he comes flying back with a kick that catches Cross and sends him crashing out to the floor! SAM HEWITT Beautiful springboard enzuigiri sends the big man out of the ring!BRIAN SHELZI If I'm Joe Stanton, I use this opportunity to catch my breath. Let the big man get counted out, maybe. Sure, a pinfall or submission is great to have but you've got to keep yourself fresh in this tournament and with another match on Saturday - you take as many shortcuts as you can. SAM HEWITT The Shelzi System.Shelzi tells Hewitt that's a good idea as Stanton reaches over the top rope, grabbing Cross' head and arm to pull him up onto the apron. "Juneau" blasts Stanton with a forearm shot, knocking him down to his knees. Cross sticks his head through the ropes to enter, but Stanton's Black Dog back fist finds its mark! Cross falls back out, hitting the apron and then the floor. Referee Cordell Garner tells Stanton that he needs to allow Cross ample opportunity to get back in the ring or he'll receive a public warning. Stanton nods in response and gets up, backing off as Cross slides back inside. Stanton waits until he's right in to help pull him to his feet, Stanton clamps on a butterfly lock and tries for a suplex but Cross isn't about to let him do that. Stanton responds in kind by letting go, blasting him with a forearm club to the back. Cross responds by standing straight up, Joe's not too phased though - until Cross blasts him with a forearm of his own! Stanton goes down to a knee and Cross grabs him and heaves him up in one motion... STALLING SUPLEX! SAM HEWITT Look at the power on display from Pat Cross! Yikes! BRIAN SHELZI Six foot one, two hundred and thirty seven pounds is Joe Stanton and Pat Cross made that look effortless. And Cross keeps him up there for a good fifteen seconds before slamming him down! The fans show their appreciation as Cross lies there, regaining his composure. He rolls over and makes a lateral press. 1... ... 2... ... NO! Stanton kicks out as Shelzi explains that Cross waited too long after the suplex to follow up. Cross gets up and backs into the corner, Stanton slowly finds his way to his feet and "Juneau" charges forth for a lariat, but Joe ducks it! He tries for a Uranage, but Cross bullies himself back into the ropes and strikes his way free of the throw attempt. Cross grabs Stanton and whips him into the ropes and on the return, Stanton ducks the incoming attack from Cross and bounces off the ropes again. The Guy in Shades leaps up for a crossbody, but Cross catches him and in an insane display of strength... HOISTS HIM UP WITH ONE ARM AND SLAMS HIM DOWN! Stanton favours his back as he rolls toward the ropes, Cross tries to stop him but took too long on the follow up. Cross wearily gets to his feet and drags Stanton back into the middle of the ring, he pulls him up to his feet and stuffs between his legs. He brings him up for the powerbomb, but Stanton begins punching away! Cross tries to maintain his balance, but Stanton's desperate shots keep him off kilter - and lead to his downfall! Cross falls backwards, Stanton on top - he reaches back and hooks the legs! 1... ... 2... ... 3! Stanton leaps off in celebration, Cross gets up - not happy. Stanton turns around and sees an unpleasant looking Cross and doesn't quite know what to think. SAM HEWITT Trouble in the air tonight in Oshawa? No! Cross extends his hand to Stanton, who shakes it. Cross nods and takes his exit as we go to break.

As we come back from break, Billy Danielson bounces off the ropes and gets waylayed by Zenki's palm thrust! Zenki turns around, playing to the Zealots in attendance. Danielson gets to his feet and mocks Zenki's response to the big move before the Japanese fighter can turn around. When he does, Danielson grabs him in a side headlock. Zenki charges him into the ropes and throws him off. Danielson rebounds, ducking another shotei attempt, hits the ropes a second time and takes the Demon down with a crossbody block! The crowd roars its approval! SAM HEWITT Judging by his reaction to the fans, I don't think Billy Danielson expected to be loved here in Canada. BRIAN SHELZI You can blame Trudeau for that. SAM HEWITT I'm not even going to touch that.
Zenki rolls out of the ring to recover, angrily shaking the guardrail. The Canadian fans let him have it while the Zealots shout in Japanese, telling their Demon Lord that a sacrificial goat is in order. Zenki nods and goes to climb back inside, but Danielson slingshots himself over the ropes - taking him out with another crossbody block! The crowd pops as Xavier Price rushes out to check on both men. Once he deems them OK, he returns to the ring to begin the ten count. Danielson is up first and grabs Zenki, throwing him inside the ring at the count of eight. He goes for a quick cover, neglecting to hook the leg as he climbs inside. 1... ... 2... NO! Danielson protests the call a bit, earning him his first "WOW DUDE!" response from Price - the fans love it! Danielson shakes his head and smashes Zenki with a double axe handle as the former Shining Road Champion is getting to his feet. Danielson grabs him in a front chancery and tries to lift him up for a suplex, but Zenki hits him with several shots to the midsection to break free. He grabs Billy and whips him into the ropes, rushing into the adjacent set as he does. The two criss-cross, but on the second intersection - Zenki blasts Billy with the Zenbato! The Zealots love it, Zenki drops down for the cover! 1... ... 2... ... FOOT ON THE ROPE! Canadians and Zealots alike show their appreciation for the fact that Billy kicked out of a tremendous looking Pounce, but the Zealots go right back to cheering Zenki - telling him to go for the kill. The Demon Lord stomps Danielson twice before yanking him up and going for a brainbuster. Danielson reverses it - SMALL PACKAGE! 1... ... 2... ... 3-NO! SAM HEWITT Much too close for the Zealots' comfort! Zenki's contingent of fans at ringside nearly stormed the ring! BRIAN SHELZI Just so you know, don't tell me to run if they do - you'll be talking to yourself.Zenki gets up and stomps away on Danielson, then yanks him up. He tries for the brainbuster again but the Goat slips free and delivers consecutive back elbows to Zenki's stomach, creating some distance. Distance that is quickly closed by a rolling koppu kick! Danielson falls down onto all fours while Zenki slowly gets back to his feet. He grabs Danielson in a rear waist hold, hauls him up and dumps him onto his back with a backdrop suplex! The Zealots shout their encouragement as Zenki dives on top for a cover! 1... ... 2... ... NO! Zenki argues with Price in Japanese, Price responds in kind with a "WOW DUDE!" in Japanese! The Zealots are livid! Zenki looks around confused and in frustration, slaps Billy Danielson across the face prompting a "FUCK!" in response as the GOAT holds his face. Zenki pulls Danielson up to his feet slowly, then locks on a front chancery before hooking his leg... FISHERMAN BUSTER! He bridges! 1... ... 2... ... 3-NO! Zenki gets up, makes a cutthroat gesture and heads up top. With his back to the ring, Zenki salutes his Zealots and launches off with a moonsault... NO ONE HOME! Danielson dodges the aerial assault, but is still down from the fisherman buster! Zenki gets up, holding his leg in pain. Both men crawl to a corner to assist them in getting up and then stumble into the middle, Zenki swings wildly for a shotei shot but Danielson ducks and slaps on a full nelson... BILLY BOMB! BRIAN SHELZI The full nelson bomb connects... usually that means one thing...Danielson nearly trips himself rushing to his feet, then springs off the ropes - a running knee strike careens into Zenki's face as Shelzi yells out BLACKOUT! The former Seattle Pro Heavyweight Champion covers... 1... ... 2... ... 3! SAM HEWITT And just like that - Billy Danielson' first match here in Lion's Road is a successful one, giving Zenki an L. Danielson rolls out on the Zealot side and quickly realizes it, jogging to the other side before they can scalp him. Price goes to raise his arm, but Danielson gives him a "WOW DUDE!" before raising his own hands, Price shakes his head and walks off as we go to break.

5/5 - Ajax, Ontario

5/19 - Rochester, New York
5/24 - Buffalo, New York
We join the match in progress as GRIM is in the corner, Alexander Irvine gets tired of waiting for him to come up and shoves referee Robbie Morris aside. It's a move that Irvine soon regrets as GRIM sprays his red poison mist into the eyes of the former King of Lions! Irvine grabs his eyes, trying to ease the burning sensation but in doing so, leaves himself wide open for a superkick from the supposedly supernatural fighter. Irvine topples to the ground, obscuring the mist from the sight of Robbie Morris. GRIM grabs him up and lifts him upside down... TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! GRIM crawls forward, hooking the leg in order to prevent Morris from seeing the mist as he counts. 1... ... 2... ... 3! SAM HEWITT A huge win for one half of the World Tag Team Champions to kick off his Laurentide Cup campaign, beating out a former King of Lions Champion. From here, GRIM will battle David Troy on Saturday while Irvine looks to get some retribution against the newcomer who pinned him three weeks ago - "Juneau" Pat Cross. A stage hand climbs inside the ring with a bottle of water and a towel to attend to Irvine as GRIM stands up, raising his arms in victory and then into a prayer. Both GRIMMY Winner and Jin Hirai join him in the prayer from the outside of the ring before leaping onto the apron and holding the ropes open for him. BRIAN SHELZI I'm not so sure I understand this whole dynamic, I'm not the most cultured man - I'll admit, but uh... it looks like Joro-Gumu's revenge is moving along nicely. That, and I didn't think Winner could get any weirder but here we are. As GRIM jumps to the floor, a couple of hooded figures attack the trio! As GRIM recovers, the figures take off leaving everyone confused as we go to break.

BLOCK AMike Musket [3] Billy Danielson [3] AJ Knight [0] Bam Markham [0] Justin Seville [0] Zenki [0] BLOCK BGRIM [3] Joe Stanton [3] Alexander Irvine [0] David Troy [0] Matt Pulver [0] Pat Cross [0]
We join Matt Pulver vs. David Troy in progress and it looks to be heated. David Troy slaps Pulver's face, but the Swede responds with a shove! The fans are on the edge of their seat as the two men come face to face, talking what looks like copious amounts of trash to each other. Troy tries for a second slap, but Pulver blasts him with a forearm. Troy responds by grabbing him in a clinch and delivering several Muay Thai knees to the chest and stomach as Pulver is backed into the ropes. Troy then Irish whips him across the ring, but Pulver ducks the attack as he springs off - a dropkick to Troy as he turns around!
SAM HEWITT Picture perfect! Look at that!
Pulver nails him right in the face and drops down for the cover!
1...
...
2...
...
NO!
Pulver grabs Troy and hauls him up his feet, then executes a European uppercut that staggers Dynamite back into the ropes. Troy stumbles out, eats a forearm shot that spins him halfway around - Pulver applies a rear waist hold and nearly gets Troy off his feet before the veteran grabs the top rope. Garner tells Pulver to break it, but before he can - Troy grabs the middle rope and pulls himself forward. Pulver goes throat first into the top rope! The crowd gasps as he falls backwards, clutching his throat as he struggles to breathe. Pulver insists he's OK to continue and gets up, Troy gets back to his feet and begins peppering him with leg kicks. Pulver falls against the ropes in an attempt to support himself from this onslaught, Troy grabs his leg and pulls him away from the ropes!
BRIAN SHELZI Everyone says David Troy lacks the killer instinct, but this looks like killer instinct to me!
Troy goes around to the top half and wraps his legs around Pulver's head and arm, cranking pressure on the head with the Octopus hold. Pulver extends his leg, trying to reach the ropes - Troy increases the pressure by putting his heel on Pulver's chin and pressing down! Pulver swings his hips and puts his leg on the bottom rope, but Troy doesn't break until four! Garner admonishes him for it as Pulver tries to recover on the mat. Troy stares dismissively at Lion's Road senior official Cordell Garner while Pulver rolls out and takes a walk, holding his face and neck.
BRIAN SHELZI Good strategy by Pulver here, David Troy really turned the pressure up to eleven on that octopus hold and had he not got to the ropes - it would've been curtains. He's wise to take the time he needs to disrupt Troy's momentum.
However, Troy isn't playing that game. He goes out after Pulver and throws him back inside the ring, sliding in himself. Pulver tries to get up but eats a toe kick, Troy grabs him in a rear waist hold and bowls him over with a German suplex! He bridges it!
1...
...
2...
...
NO!
Pulver kicks out, Troy barks at Garner about the count but gets told it was just a two. Pulver tries to get up, Troy yanks him to his feet and spins around for the Flashbang but Pulver ducks it and cradles him!
FOLDING PRESS!
1...
...
2...

3!
NO!
ONLY TWO!
Troy sends Pulver flying, then asks what the count was - having heard three but no bell. He charges at Pulver, who leaps over and sunset flips him!
TROY BACK ROLLS OUT!
STANDS UP!
FLASH BANG TO A SEATED PULVER!
Troy nearly falls out of the ring from the momentum, but catches himself and scurries to pull Pulver back over onto his back. He covers.
1...

2...
THE BELL SOUNDS!
Troy gets up and celebrates, but Garner yanks his arm down and points to Rossen.
BRADY ROSSEN Ladies and gentlemen, the fifteen minute time limit has expired! This match is a draw!
Troy flips shit! He protests the outcome, but Garner exits leaving him standing there. Troy turns back, busts his way through the stage hands and medics helping Pulver and clamps on the Octopus hold! The bell sounds again and again, stage hands finally get in and separate the two. Troy kicks at him unsuccessfully.
SAM HEWITT The Dynamite has gone off! David Troy was seconds away from a victory and the time limit expired... and he lost it! It was enough that he probably knocked Pulver out with the Flash Bang, he had to go back and clamp on the Ocotpus hold. A sickening act from a veteran fighter.
BRIAN SHELZI The fans wanted killer instinct... they got it.
Troy shoves a camera away as the show goes to break.

We come back as the bell sounds to begin our main event, A Block action between King of Lions Champion AJ Knight and Heritage Heavyweight Champion Bam Markham. The two circle around with the World's Champion doing his best to size up the regional champ, figuring out his game plan now that it's go time. Markham lunges at AJ, who dodges and leaps up - clamping on a side headlock. He brings Markham down to his knees as he lands back on his own feet and begins wrenching the hold in, over and over. Markham powers up and backs AJ into the ropes before launching him across into the opposite set. Knight rebounds and launches himself into a dropkick that staggers Markham, but doesn't knock him over. AJ scurries back to his feet, springs off the ropes... MARKHAM LEAP FROGS HIM! The Oshawa crowd pops for the 6'4" / 280lbs Heritage Champion pulling off that incredible feat, but AJ shows that quickness can still beat agile size as he turns around and catches Markham in the gut with a kick. Markham doubles over in pain, allowing AJ to grab him in a side headlock and haul him over to the mat. Garner makes a quick count, barely a one before Bam rolls onto his side and starts the ascent back to his feet. He pushes AJ back into the ropes to force a break. Garner begins the five count on AJ, the World's Champion lets go at three and is immediately thumped by Bam Markham! AJ staggers forward and the crowd gasps as the Heritage Champ scoops AJ up and tosses him across the ring like an old mattress. Garner steps in and admonishes Markham for striking AJ during the break and Bam listens intently. Just kidding, he don't give a shit. He shoves past Garner and reaches down to grab AJ, but the World's Champion lifts his legs up and kicks off of Markham's head, sending the big man backwards into the corner. SAM HEWITT AJ Knight is not the flashiest or even the most technical, but his ability to pick his spots are second to none. BRIAN SHELZI Unfortunately, there's not really a good time to anger a petulant big man.AJ tries to get up and capitalize on this, but is still feeling the effects of being tossed across the ring and loses his balance. Markham stomps over, pulls AJ up off the mat and leads him across the ring - dumping him through the ropes to the floor. Garner pulls out a yellow card for the infraction. BRADY ROSSEN Bam Markham has been issued his first public warning for throwing his opponent out of the ring!If Markham cares, he doesn't show it - he follows AJ out to the floor and pulls him to his feet, only to bounce him head first off the timekeeper's table. AJ falls to his knees, but Markham helps him back up to a vertical base before bodyslamming him on the cold, hard cement floor! AJ's body stiffens upon impact, Garner checks on him and determines he's OK. He begins the count on both men as Markham stomps on AJ a couple of times before heading back to the ring. The count reaches seven before AJ begins to stir and the fans begin to get frantic as it hits nine, AJ kicks it into instinct mode and roars up and tries to slide in - Markham stomps on him and shoves him back out. Fortunately for the King of Lions, Garner considers this an interruption of the count and admonishes Markham again, but doesn't dish out the yellow card for the action that typically draws one. Markham heads outside to collect AJ and does, depositing him back inside the ring with a toss. Markham climbs in as AJ tries to crawl away, creating some distance but gets grabbed - Markham does his best to block Garner's view as he digs two fingers in the nostrils of AJ and two fingers in the mouth and pulls in opposite directions. AJ cries out in pain as his mouth and nose are being yanked apart! BRIAN SHELZI Dr. Markham doing some emergency cosmetic surgery! What a gentleman!Garner begins his five count, but Bam releases on four and AJ falls down onto his hands and knees. The Heritage Champ backs into the ropes and then charges out, but AJ comes to life and blasts his opponent with a forearm before falling down! Markham is stumbled by the shot, but stays on his feet. AJ gets back up to his feet... LEAPING ENZUIGIRI! Again, Markham is stumbled by the shot but doesn't go down. AJ staggers back to a vertical base, kicks Markham in the gut to double him over and executes a swinging neckbreaker! He crawls a top Markham... 1... ... 2... ... NO! Markham heaves AJ off of him, then gets up - beating the speed in which AJ gets back on his feet. However, AJ rushes him against the ropes with a knee to the gut and tries to Irish whip him across the ring, but he gets reversed and sent in him. AJ ducks an incoming left hand and grabs a rear waist hold, he charges Markham into the ropes and tries to fall back but the Heritage Champ hangs on! AJ crashes to the mat! Markham sizes up the World's Champion, waiting for the perfect moment then goes to unleash the One Punch, Man. AJ pops up, Markham dashes across to hit it... BUT AJ DUMPS HIMSELF THROUGH THE ROPES TO THE FLOOR! SAM HEWITT Mixed feelings from the crowd regarding that particular tactic, but one thing's for certain - Bam Markham's thoughts on the matter!Markham chases him out, but AJ clobbers him with a superkick as he comes around the ring post. Markham falls against the timekeeper's table and AJ drags himself back inside the ring, Garner's count is interrupted by the table flying into the ring. Garner goes to grab it, but thinks better of it as Markham comes storming back in. AJ Knight gets a boot that sends him across the ring, Bam grabs the table and sets it up against the corner. Once again, Garner is about to grab it and remove it from the ring but gets the hell out of the way as the Heritage Champion starts to Irish whip the World's Champ... AND SENDS HIM INTO THE TABLE! Of course, this particular table is Japanese, I guess because it doesn't break. Markham is none too pleased and lines up AJ from across the ring, he charges in... NOTHING BUT TABLE! AND IT STILL DOESN'T BREAK! Markham bounces off and hits the mat, before falling out to the floor. AJ went down in the process and also took to the floor, Garner's ten count reaches... 6... 7... AJ grabs the ring skirt, then swings himself to grab the middle rope. 8... He pulls himself up to the apron. 9... Dumps himself in! Markham is just starting to stir! 10! The bell sounds! The crowd pops for AJ's win, Garner lifts the World's Champion's arm but the two make a run for it as an angry Bull from Boulder comes roaring into the ring. AJ collects his belt on the outside of the ring and raises it high, telling Markham that if his was on the line - AJ would be a double champion right now. Markham goes to leave the ring but stage hands stop him from doing so as AJ is escorted to the back. SAM HEWITT Last time the two champion's tangled, it was the Heritage Heavyweight Champion that came out on top - James Edwards beat Alexander Irvine by count out back on January 4th of this year. This time around, the count out happens again but it's the King of Lions that emerges victorious. BRIAN SHELZI But he made himself a dangerous enemy in the process, a man who's got a dash of that je ne sais quoi. Size, skill and scary as hell. SAM HEWITT Fans, that's all we've got time for tonight so be sure to join us on Saturday for a special digest review of the matches in Ajax. See you again soon! Our final shot of the evening is Bam Markham being held back by stage hands as AJ Knight raises his belt high to close the show.
