PWGP “CHARGE” starts with a video package from earlier today showing Surf ‘n Turf, Vod and Zaros, arriving at the PWGP Exhibition along with their “queen”, Gertrude Quest. They’re met by BUAC spokesman, Robert Fredrick. He informs them that the BUAC has decided in an effort to make the International Tag Team division more competitive, it now only takes three points, instead of the previous five points, to earn a title shot. Therefore Surf ‘n Turf have earned themselves a title match with their four points. Robert Fredrick asks them if they want to cash in their opportunity tonight and Gertrude accepted on her team’s behalf. Robert Fredrick leaves to inform East K Connection of tonight’s title and the challengers start celebrating like they’re already champion.

We go live to our commentary team, Greg Stradford and “Big Bad” Paul Carlyle. Both men hyped the announcement about the International Tag Team Title Match and they speculate whether Vlars will get involved or not, as he obviously still has issues with both members of Surf ‘n Turf. They also mention that The Technician will defend his PWGP Television Title against former champion, Bryant Adam Thompson. If he successfully defends the title tonight with a win, Tech will have earned ten points and will be next in line to challenge Eli Buchanan for the PWGP Global Title, which could happen next week. We’re reminded that four weeks ago that Buchanan was attacked by an army of mysterious assailants and hasn’t been seen since. Since that time Robert Fredrick and the PWGP Exhibition Centre have went to lengths to increase security to prevent anymore such attacks from happening, but the question remains if Eli Buchanan will be in any shape to compete should he have to defend the Global Title next week.
No time to dwell on these questions though, as we have a show to start! Greg and Paul send it down to our ring announcer, Nick Christoulos, for the opening introductions.
MATCH 1
Handicap Match (Special 5 Minute Time Limit)
BOB (7 points, w/ The Guru)
vs
Ross Elgin and Roy William
Referee: Mark Lindsey
Before the match begins, we go to a video package of The Guru meeting with Robert Fredrick requesting this match. Robert only agree to it after adding the five minute time limit to prevent BOB from hurting these two young men too badly. He also warns The Guru if BOB is disqualified he will be stripped of his remaining points and banned from appearing for PWGP for a sixty days.
As the bell sounds to start the match, BOB wastes no time levelling both men with a colossal double clothesline. He immediately tosses William from the ring and grabbing Elgin by the hair, starts headbutting him while the crowd chants his name with every blow. BOB scoops Elgin up and slams him to the mat, before turning around just in time to catch Roy William in mid air trying to catch the green faced goliath with a cross body block. BOB drops him on the mat and grabbing him by the hair, proceeds to headbutt him as well. He scoops William up and slams him down next to Elgin, then screaming out his name, springs off the ropes and hits a running splash and going for the cover on both men at once. 1...2...3..!
Winner: BOB (9 points)
The commentators marvel at the quick work BOB made of his two young opponents. The fact that BOB is now just one point away from challenging for the Global Title now doesn’t escape their attention, nor the fact that The Guru manages the two top contenders for Eli Buchanan’s championship. Neither Greg or Paul are willing to overlook the resiliency of the current Global Champion, but both openly wonder if we could possibly see The Technician vs BOB for the title in the very near future.

We return from break to find Philly Cheese Snake preparing to compete. He’s approached by Faititili who wishes him the best of luck against “Iron” Mack Brody tonight. Philly shakes his hand and states that he realizes he needs to get rid of Brody if he ever stands a chance of getting his hands on True North Ant, fair and square, in a one-on-one match. Faititli warns him to be careful, because when you’re facing one member of Asper’s Army, you can bet the others aren't far away. The two part with another handshake and Philly gets ready for his match.
***
MATCH 2
Philly Cheese Snake (2 points)
vs
“Iron” Mack Brody (2 points, w/ Saul Asper)
Referee: Eddie Tims
There’s a clear size difference in this match, as the much bigger Brody uses his weight and strength advantage to muscle Philly around in the early goings of the match. Brody clearly is enjoying bullying around his smaller opponent as he continuously yells insults at him and trash talks with the fans at ringside. Philly is able to briefly turn the tide of the match, working to try and cut Brody down to size with kicks to the left knee and thigh. It starts to look like his tactic is working but when he goes for a running attack, he’s leveled with a hug boot by Brody.
Angry now, Brody starts pounding the Philadelphia native. There’s nothing fancy about his game plan as he simply grounds and pounds the former PWGP referee. He repeatedly chokes Philly with his hands and even his leg at one point, raising the ire of Eddie Tims, who warns he’ll disqualify him if these actions continue. Philly tries to fight back, but is soon leveled with a sidewalk slam and a pendulum backbreaker for a near fall.
Several near falls soon follow before Brody signals that he’s ready to put Philly away. He whips him hard into the turnbuckle, but Philly is able to sidestep him as Brody charges in with an attempted shoulder tackle and ends up going shoulder first into the ring post. Philly sees his opening and jumps on Brody’s back, trying to lock in the Cobra Clutch. Brody is able to flip Philly off his back before the move can be properly locked on, but soon falls victim to a tornado ddt. A stunned Brody is almost pinned for three but manages to kick out.
Philly immediately looks to lock on the Cobra Clutch again, but is distracted when True North Ant comes down to the ring and hopes up on the apron. He and Philly argue and the snake man takes a swing at him, only for TNA to duck and drop to the floor. This distraction gives Mack Brody enough time to recover, however, and when Philly turns around, his head is nearly taken off with a devastating lariat clothesline and he’s covered for the three count.
Winner: “Iron” Mack Brody (3 points)
Following the match, True North Ant slides into the ring. He and Brody continue to beat down Philly Cheese Snake until Faititili comes running down to ringside to help him out. Using his smaller stature he’s able to duck the attacks from both members of The Wrecking Brew and hits a series of running kicks and flying headbutt attacks that stun both men. Philly Cheese Snake manages to get to his feet, and grabbing True North Ant, appears to be about to get his revenge on TNA, while Faititili takes car of Brody.
Two men charge into the ring and attack Faititli and Philly from behind. It appears to be The Agents of Pain, finally returning after being defeated in the “Losers Leave for Thirty Days” match at “Glory Days. Both men are sporting slightly different looks now and more vicious attitudes. Faititli is soon leveled with a Flapjack by The AoP, while Brody hits Philly with another lariat clothesline and True North Ant finishes the job with the Red River Plunge.
Greg Stradford is disgusted by the sight of what these four men have just done here, but Paul Carlyle appears to love it, going so far as to say Asper’s Army is back and looking stronger than ever. Saul Asper stands front and centre, applauding his men’s actions, as the four of them raise each other’s hands before we go to break.
***
In Robert Fredrick’s office find him and his assistant, Deedee Gagnon, talking with member of security and giving them instructions to inform him to report anyone suspicious wandering around the Exhibition Centre. He makes it clear he will not tolerate any more attacks like what we saw happen to Eli Buchanan, the East K Connection and Alan Hunter.
Just as he dismisses them, “High Five” Jimmy Jive and James Daniels arrive. Fredrick welcomes them back, stating he hopes that their time away has allowed the father and son duo to finally put their differences aside. He reminds them that the BUAC is looking to make the International Tag Team Division more competitive and wants to Jive and Daniels to be apart of it. Next week they will be holding another four tag team elimination match, with up to three points in play. It will feature The Things, The Moondogs, O2 and the team of Jive and Daniels. Te father and son are excited about the prospect, although after Fredrick and Deedee walk away it becomes clear that Jive and Daniels are still not on the same page. Jive reminds his son if they win next week it will be doing things the right way. Daniels appears to agree but as soon as Jive turns around, he rolls his eyes at the camera.

MATCH 3
PWGP Television Title Match (10 Minute Time Limit)
The Technician (9 points, w/ The Guru)
vs
Bryant Adam Thompson (1 point)
Referee: Eddie Tims
Before the match it appears that Thompson is a bit frustrated. We learn that Thompson had asked Faititili to act as his cornerman for this match, considering the actions of The Guru and his men as of late, but Faititili is receiving medical attention following the attack he suffered at the hands of Asper’s Army just before the break. Carlyle doesn’t blame him for being angry, calling Faitilili a fool for sticking his nose where it didn’t belong, while Stradford countered that the Samoan warrior was simply doing what he considered to be the right thing.
The early goings of the championship match were surprising even, as both men showed off their technical skills in the ring. The fans loved witnessing the two men chain wrestle, going hold for hold with one another. It appeared that Bryant Adam Thompson might actual be getting the better of his masked opponent, but The Technician would blatantly poke him in eye to gain control of the match and use a side headlock takeover to bring Thompson to the mat. Thompson was able to counter out of the move with a headscissor. Tech would manages to escape into another headlock but Thompson quickly freed himself would catch the masked man off guard with a series of arm drags that eventually saw The Technician roll out of the ring, looking to slow the match back down. He would soon learn that there was no safety for him on the floor as the Notorious B.A.T. came soaring over the top rope with a springboard plancha, landing right on top of the current Television Champion.
The crowd cheered as Thompson rolled Tech into the ring. Before he had a chance to follow up though, The Guru grabbed him by the foot. Eddie Tims admonished him for getting involved but his attention was quickly turned as The Technician chop blocked Thompson from behind, taking him out at the knee.
There was a clear sense of urgency to Tech’s actions over the next few minutes. As he worked over Thompson’s knee, he kept asking The Guru how much time was left, very conscious of how title time he had to secure the final points he needed to secure his Global Title shot. He wastes very little time draping Thompson’s knee over the bottom rope and using the ropes for leverages, would jump and land on the exposed limb, looking to weaken it. He would try to lock on a figure four but Thompson kicked him away. Thompson would try to get to his feet but would have his leg kicked out from beneath him by the champion. Tech would this time successfully lock in the figure four leg lock. Thompson would scream in pain but refused to submit, finally dragging himself to the ropes to break up the submission.
Tech released the hold but was still relentless, grabbing Thompson as he tried to get up and grabbing him by the leg used an atomic drop to bring Thompson’s shin down across Tech’s knee. The masked man would go for a second one but Thompson managed to break free and caught the champion with a spinning kick to the side of his head using his weakened leg. Thompson was unable to follow up, clutching his knee in pain instead.
Eddie Tims would go to check on Thompson to see if he was able to continue. Meanwhile The Technician started kicking the mat with the toe of his right boot. The crowd began to boo, realizing this meant he was loading the boot up in preparation to use it as an illegal maneuver. Both men slowly got to their feet as Eddie Tims started counting and Tech would try to kick Thompson with the loaded boot, but Thompson would grab the foot and transition into another stiff spinning kick. The blow rocked the white masked veteran, who soon fell victim to a tiltawhirl into a stunner. Realizing he had little time to spare, Thompson slowly climbed to the top rope. The Guru jumped up on the apron to distract him but received a kick for his troubles, that saw him tumble to the floor below.
Once again the distraction proved dividends for Tech, who managed to get to his feet and crotch Thompson hard on the top rope, causing the Notorious B.A.T. to fall into the ring. The Technician quickly dragged him into the middle of the ring and locked the figure four leg lock back on. Thompson began to fade fast and appeared to be on the verge of having to submit. Suddenly Axel Moros slid into the ring much to the delight of the crowd. The cheers turned to confusion though, as he bent down and slapped Thompson across the face. Eddie Tims immediately called for the bell, disqualifying The Technician.
Winner: by disqualification, Bryant Adam Thompson (2 points)
Still PWGP Television Champion, The Technician
A shocked Technician quickly released the figure four and tried to go after Moros, realizing that the big man had just cost him two points by having him disqualified, thus leaving him currently three points short of being able to challenge for the Global Title. The crowd soon caught on to Moros’s plan, as the big man yelled from the crowd that he had just cost him two points. Paul Carlyle shared Tech’s sense of anger, sighting that Moros had no right to do this. While Stradford called the tactic a brilliant way to get back at Tech for the antics he had pulled in recent weeks.
We’re left with Tech and The Guru fuming in the ring, while we leave for break.
***
Back from break we see The Guru and PWGP Television Champion, The Technician barge into Robert Fredrick’s office and demand he do something about what we just saw. Fredrick announces next week that Bryant Adam Thompson will get a rematch for the Television Championship since he did technically (lol) win tonight. He also announces that Axel Moros has already spoken with him and next week Moros will go one-on-one with BOB. The Technician is at first livid about these announcements but The Guru manahes to calm him down, siting that BOB will take care of Moros, which will allow Tech to beat Thompson. Tech is still not happy about this but The Guru says it’ll work out. BOB will earn his tenth point next week and go on to beat that “crippled champion”, Eli Buchanan. All The Technician needs to do is beat Thompson next week, then successfully retain the title one more time. Then he can cash in his own Global Title shot and they’ll get BOB to lay down for him so he can become the new champion. This idea seems to excite Tech and the two of them quickly leave to prepare for next week, leaving Robert Fredrick and his assistant, Deedee Gagnon, looking concerned.

Match 4
PWGP International Tag Team Title Match
The East K Connection (Sweet Daddy D and Easy E, 2nd title defense)
vs
Surf ‘n Turf (Vod and Zaros w/ Gertrude Quest, cashing in 3 of their four points for the title match)
Referee: Andrew Roller
Right off the bell Surf ‘n Turf attack the champions, a smart tactic the way Paul Carlyle sees its, considering the champions clear experience advantage and their success as a team. The champions soon manage to fight back and send the challengers scrambling to the arena floor, looking to their “queen” for guidance. Quest tries to formulate a plan with her men but the meeting is cut short as EKC roll out of the ring and knock the rookie team’s heads together before tossing them back in. Quest tries to get into both their faces but Sweet Daddy D and Easy E simply ignore her as they slide back in the ring to go after their opponents.
Surf ‘n Turf try to attack them as they enter but their attacks are blocked and the champions remain in control for the next few minutes. They almost appear to be having a good at their opponents expense, even at one point tying Zaros’s own foot to his tail, making the young goblin think he’s locked in a step over toe hold. The tide turns (pun intended) when Zaros raked Sweet Daddy D’s eyes and tagged in the sea monster, Vod, who levelled the Sweet One with a shoulder tackle.
Vod would drag Sweet Daddy D to his team’s corner and tag Zaros back in. Vod would slam the tag team champion and Zaros would follow up with a second rope leg drop for a near fall. He would quickly tag his partner back in and Vod would go back to work with some devastating power moves to soften Sweet Daddy D up for the pin. Zaros would pick his spots to come in and continue the assault, or simply try to steal a three count, before tagging his partner back in. All the while, Gertrude Quest was screaming instructions from the arena floor, to the point that fans in the Exhibition Centre to start chanting “Shut the Hell Up!” and “You’re Not Our Queen!”, the latter of which really getting under her skin.
The match appeared to be over when Vod and Zaros used a unique spiked shoulder breaker combination and Vod went for the pin, but Easy E dove into the ring in time to break up the pin. The mayor of “The 7th Moon of Thunder” quickly exited the ring and started stomping his foot. The crowd soon picked up on the rhythm and started clapping along as Sweet Daddy D fought to get back into the match. He would manage to escape Vod’s grasp long enough to make the tag to Easy E but Andrew Roller missed the tag, being distracted by Zaros trying to get into the ring. Turning around to see Easy E “illiegally” trying to enter the ring, he soon was ordering him back to his corner. Meanwhile Vod had dragged Sweet Daddy D back to his corner and both members of Surf ‘n Turf started lying the boots to him
Things were looking grim and it appeared the rookie team were just moments away from winning the International Tag Team Titles when the crowd popped. Vlars came running down to ringside and as Surf ‘n Turf set Sweet Daddy D up for their finisher “Into the Sea”, used his mop to knock Zaros off the top rope and into the ring. A confused Vod saw Zaros fall into the ring and was momentarily confused over what just happened, even as Gertrude Quest was screaming at him. Vod finally turned to see his former mentor calmly walking away. This diversion gave Sweet Daddy D the opening he needed and he hit a neckbreaker on the sea monster.
With both members of Surf ‘n Turf down, Sweet Daddy D slowly crawled to his own corner and finally managed to tag Easy E in. The masked dude came in like a house of fire, hitting both Vod and Zaros with big kicks, following up with a series of arm drags on Zaros and a surprising hip toss that got the crowd on their feet. EAsy E would toss Zaros out of the ring and then duck a charging Vod, which sent the sea monster tumbling over the top rope to the floor. Easy E would look to go for a suicide dive but Gertrude Quest would get up on the apron and block his way. Frustrated he backed away, not wanting to hit a woman, but as Gertrude smiled and offered Surf ‘n Turf a wink, he suddenly came flying over the top rope, clear over her head and landed on both Vod and Zaros.
Easy E tossed Zaros back into the ring and tagged in his partner. They set Zaros up for Sweet Decapitation, but Vod charged in and levelled Easy E with a shoulder block. Sweet Daddy D quickly leaped down from the top rope and as Vod turned to him, caught the sea monster right under the chin with a superkick that sent Vod right back out of the ring. Zaros tried to catch Sweet Daddy D from behind with an ax handle blow but was nearly taken out of his boots with a superkick from Easy E , who then signalled to his partner to go back up top. Easy E picked Zaros up and hit a pendulum backbreaker and held him in position so Sweet Daddy D could come sailing off the top rope and hit the elbow drop. SWEET DECAPITATION! Sweet Daddy D covered Zaros for the pin. 1… 2… 3..!
Winners: and still PWGP International Tag Team Champions, The East K Connection
Gertrude Quest screamed out in frustration and looked visibly upset following the match and clearly could be heard blaming all this on the interference of Vlars. She helped her team as they slowly made their way to the back, screaming out threats towards everyone along the way.
Meanwhile back in the ring, Sweet Daddy D and Easy E celebrated another successful title defense. They held their titles up high to close out the show… but wait! The lights flicker off and when they come back up, two hooded figures stand in the ring behind our champions. When EKC turn around, they’re both suddenly blinded with green mist by the hooded intruders and fall to the mat clutching their burning eyes.
Security rush out to intercept the assailants, but the lights flicker off again. When light returns to the PWGP Exhibition Centre, the pair are gone. Robert Fredrick is out and is furious, demanding to know how they those two managed to get into the arena and how the heck were they allowed to escape?
We’re left with these questions, but they’ll have to wait for another day.
So, in the meantime and in between time… Good night, God bless and may the Force be with you.
