Tonight’s episode of PWGP “CHARGE” opens up with no pre-show. We’re welcomed to the program by Greg Stradford and Paul Carlyle inside the PWGP Exhibition Centre and they immediately send it over to BUAC Spokesman, Robert Fredrick, who is standing in the middle of the ring with Deedee Gagnon at his side. The entire roster surrounds the ring as Robert begins to speak. He informs us that tonight’s show will continue as normal, but there are a few things that the BUAC has asked him to address.
First off, he announces that on July 8, 2018, PWGP will host the Glory Road: War Games, live from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The crowd cheers, with many anticipating where this might be leading. Robert tells the roster and the live crowd he cannot confirm the whole card at this time but plans to address at least one of the matches right here, right now.
Robert starts goes on to that due to what has transpired over the last month and a half, gang warfare tactics will no longer be tolerated in PWGP. The BUAC has given him free reign to end it in any way he sees fit, which is partially the reason for this meeting with the roster. He addresses the members of Asper’s Army and mentions their attack on Philly Cheese Snake, Faititli and Thompson last week. Because of this attack, each of them is being fined ten thousand dollars, with Saul Asper being fined twenty for his obvious orchestration of this event. Furthermore, True North Ant, Mack Brody, Agents of Pain… and Saal Asper himself will face off with Faititli, Philly Cheese Snake, Bryant Adam Thompson and two partners of their choosing in five-on-five elimination match.
This leads him to his next announcement. Robert informs reminds us of the attacks that have happened in recent weeks by a band of hooded thugs. Despite the best attempts by the BUAC, security and the roster itself, these assailants have somehow continued to get in the building, week after week and for the most part escaped unscathed. Robert admits that this has had him baffled and he’s starting to question whether this is some sort of inside job, which leads to the roster looking suspiciously amongst themselves. Robert asks the leader of this group to come forward. The lights in the Exhibition Centre go out and when they come back up, a hooded figure appears in the ring. There is some banter between the two of them, which leads Robert Fredrick making the hooded figure a deal. In Toronto both of them will put up five of their very best to face each other in the War Games match. If the hooded figure’s team won, his group would have full roster spots and get to dictate their own matches for the next four weeks, but if Team PWGP won, the hooded man and his followers would never appear again. Oh yeah, one last stipulation, all members of both teams are be formally announced within the next three weeks, which means no one is allowed to hide behind hoods and properly revealed. The hooded figure agree and taunts Robert about being careful what you wish for, you might just get it.
A second hooded figure rolls into the ring, right behind the first one. He pulls back his hood, revealing himself to be Eli Buchanan. With the crowd cheering, Eli spins the hooded figure around and lights a fireball in his face. To the shock of everyone, the figure seems to disintegrate, leaving nothing but a pile of charred clothing in the middle of the ring. Loud, menacing laughter plays throughout the arena, as Eli and Robert look around in shock, and we’re left wondering what exactly did we see here.

Back from break we find Stradford and Carlyle both still rattled over what we saw mere minutes ago. They quickly send it down to Nick Christoulos to make the introductions for the first match.
MATCH 1
Surf ‘n Turf (Vod and Zaros, w/ Gertrude Quest, 2 points)
vs
Vlars and Axel Moros (0 points)
Surf ‘n Turf and Quest were absolutely shocked when Vlars came out with Moros at his side and the young rookie team found it hard to recover from the surprise. This apparently was the first time the two bald men had ever teamed up, but you wouldn’t know that by they seemed to gel together quickly as a team. Try as they might, Vod and Zaros couldn’t seem to find an answer for the two more experienced wrestlers, despite being able to isolate Vlars for a few minutes on their side of the ring. A desperation tag from Vlars to Moros, who bulldozed over both their opponents and lead to Surf ‘n Turf’s downfall, with the finish seeing Moros toss Vod out of the ring and tossing Zaros up into the air, allowing Vlars to hit Puke Bucket Stunner to him on the way down leading to the pin, 1...2...3!
Winners: Vlars and Axel Moros (1 point)
Following the match, Vlars and Moros celebrated their victory in the ring, while Surf ‘n Turf recovered on the arena floor. Gertrude Quest could be heard screaming that this was far from over as we went to break.

We return to find Eli Buchanan preparing for his Global Title defense later tonight. Robert Fredrick arrives and chastises Eli for attacking the hooded ringleader of this group responsible for attack him and others. Eli brushes him off, stating he’s tired of doing things Robert’s way and when he finally gets his hands on the people who tried to end his career, a few fireballs would be the least of their worries.
Faititli, Philly Cheese Snake and Bryant Adam Thompson come in and welcome Eli back. Faititili asks him to join their team for the elimination match at Glory Road: War Games, siting his knowledge of Asper’s Army would be beneficial, not to mention no one else had near the amount of experience against Asper and his goons like Eli has. Robert Fredrick informs them all that won’t be possible because he has already decided that Eli would serve as Team PWGP’s team captain for the War Games match. The trio seems disappointed over the announcement but Eli reassures them he knows the two guys they need to help them out and offers them a business card. He warn them these two might be a bit hard to understand, but they can certainly get the job done. He hurries off to finish his pre-match preparations, leaving everyone in the room more than a bit mystified over who he was talking about.

MATCH 2
PWGP Television Title Match
The Technician (champion, w/ The Guru, 9 points)
vs
Jeremy Squire (1 point)
It’s mentioned that Jeremy Squire received this title match largely because of recent matches during the pre-shows and for the first time ever the King of the Dark Match crown is acknowledged, albeit as an unofficial championship contested over for the delight of the live crowd. Jeremy Squire certainly showed that he wasn’t about to scaunder this opportunity and nearly pulled off the upset victory on several occasions, despite finding himself outwrestled for the better part of the match. Once again it would be the loaded boot that would be the deciding factor in this match, as Tech would catch Squire with a kick to the right temple to knock the frat boy out and pick up two points for the successful title defense.
Winner: and still PWGP Television Champion, The Technician (11 points)
Following the match the Guru could be heard laughing and stated part one of his plan had worked and it was on to part two. The Technician grabbed a microphone and announced that he would be cashing in ten points next week for his shot at the Global Title next week, discarding the title in the middle of the ring before leaving with his manager to prepare for the next stage in their plan.

We return to find ourselves in Robert Fredrick’s office. During the break someone has brought him the discarded Television Championship and he seems rather displeased about how it’s been treated. It’s announced that next week there will be a battle royal, with the last two left standing competing in a one-on-one match to determine the new champion. An announcement that seems to blow both Carlyle and Stradford away as we return to ringside for the first of our two main events.
MATCH 3
PWGP International Tag Team Title Match
The East K Connection (champions, Sweet Daddy D and Easy E, 3rd title defence)
vs
The Moondogs (Buster and Runt, w/ The Guru, cashing in their 3 points)
This would appear to be part two of the Guru’s plan and the announcers point out how huge this would be for him if he and his men walked out of this evening with the Moondogs as champions, along with BOB as Global Champion, if he was able to defeat Eli Buchanan for the title tonight, and The Technician already announcing he would challenge for the title next week.
Sweet Daddy D and EAsy E would control the early part of the match, using their speed and agility to stay one step ahead of their opponents, including an amazing double suicide dive to the arena floor by both the champions. The tide would turn when Buster managed to take advantage to a distraction by his manager to hit Sweet Daddy D with his bone. With the co-champion in trouble, the Moondogs would use their unorthodox style to wear him down and went for several pin attempts. Buster would scoop up the Sweetener for a powerslam and signal for Runt to climb to the top rope for the double stomp, but Sweet Daddy D would manager to escape from the slam at the last moment and shove Buster into the ropes, crotching Runt on the top turnbuckle in the process. A tag to Easy E would bring the crowd to their feet, as the masked man would light up both his opponents with stiff kicks and Steamboat like arm drags. Buster would stop him from getting a pin following a super kick but minutes later Buster himself would fall victim to Sweet Decapitation by the champions and pinned by Sweet Daddy D.
Winners: and still PWGP International Tag Team Champions, The East K Connection
The champions jumped into the crowd to celebrate with their hometown crowd, while the Guru looked frustrated with his team. This lead to the announcers debating over whether his plans were falling apart.

Back from break we find the Guru admonishing the Moondogs over their failure to win the titles. The Technician tries to calm his boss down, saying EKC only got lucky tonight and promised once he became Global Champion next week, he would help the Guru create a foolproof plan to bring the International Tag Team Titles to the family. The two of them laugh over this but their good mood is soon soured when Deedee Gagnon arrives with security to escort Tech and the Moondogs out of the building to insure that BOB’s match for the Global Title was as fair as possible. Tech and the Guru seem unfazed by this, with both suggesting that the title was already theirs regardless of how many hurdles Robert Fredrick and the BUAC threw in front of them. Tech leads the Moondogs off, telling them they were going to celebrate him being the uncrowned Global Champion, with security following them out, while the Guru ran off to get BOB ready.

MATCH 4
PWGP Global Title Match
Eli Buchanan (champion, 5th title defense)
vs
BOB (w/ The Guru, cashing in his 10 points)
Eli’s appearance was different from previous title defenses, as he had painted half his face white for the encounter. His wilder appearance, along with with a crazed demeanor, seemed to throw BOB off, as he had never faced anyone quite like this. BOB would lock up with Eli and toss him around, only for Eli to roll to his feet and start laughing insanely while dancing. The announcer speculated whether this was truly all just an act or if Eli had finally lost it after everything he had endured over the last few months.
It soon became clear that the act was all a work, as Eli would use the continued confusion to catch BOB completely of guard with a chop block to the left knee and went to work wearing it down. This didn’t affect BOB for long, who seemed impervious to the pain. He would kick Eli clear out of the ring during an attempt at a spinning toe hold. The green faced monster would follow Eli out and simply toss Eli around, into the side of the ring, the barricades, ring posts, over the time keeper’s desk. Stradford and Carlyle would have to hastley get off of the way as BOB, showing unhuman like strength, lifted Eli up and brought him crashing down through their announce table; leading to them speculating that maybe the Guru had given BOB orders to destroy Eli for the Technician to defeat next week for the Global Title, rather than win it himself.
This did seem the plan, as the Guru made no effort for BOB to toss Eli back into the ring. Rather the green faced fiend pulled Eli up and slammed him back down on the broken table. Referee Andrew Roller would confront the Guru about his client’s action and warn him if BOB didn’t bring the match back into the ring. During the exchange between Roller and the Guru, BOB would pick Eli up for another slam, only for Eli to light a fireball in his face. BOB would scream, clutching his face, allowing Eli to to run him face first into the ring post and roll himself back into the ring. Having missed what just happened, Andrew Roller began the ten count, which BOB was unable to answer.
Winner: and still PWGP Global Champion, Eli Buchanan
Buchanan might have won the match but he in no way looked like a winner, as he was barely able to get to his feet following the beating he had taken at the hands of BOB. He had no time to celebrate the victory, as The Technician came running through the crowd and hoping over the barricade. He spun Eli around and planted him with a DDT and grabbing the Global Title from Roller. We’re left with the image of The Technician holding the championship over his head, with a foot on Eli’s chest. Is this a sign of what we’ll see next week? Only time will tell.
So, in the meantime and in between time… Good night, God bless and may the Force be with you!
