War: A state or period of armed hostility or active military operations.
Buchanan, Alan Hunter and the East K Connection are shown celebrating in the ring. The lights go out and when they come back up the ring is by hooded figures. The four are attacked and Eli is powerbombed through a burning announce table at ringside.
True North Ant is shown attacking referee Jose Doe. The masked official seemly tries to escape under the ring, only for TNA to drag him back out. Doe is revealed as Philly Cheese Snake who attacks True North Ant and locks him in a cobra clutch, refusing to let go even when other officials step in.
War: a contest carried on by force of arms, as in a series of battles or campaigns.
Faititi and Bryant Adam Thompson are shown defeating the Agents of Pain in a “Loser Leaves PWGP for 30 Days” match and help officials throw them out of the building
We see the hooded figures try to attack the East K Connection, only to be chased off by the entire locker room.
Bryant Adam Thompson loses a Television Title Match to the Technician, thanks to being distracted by the sight of Asper’s Army beating down Philly Cheese Snake and Faititili. After the match he gets beaten down as well by Asper and his goons, who stand hands raised at the end of the assault.
War: active hostility or contention; conflict; contest
BUAC Spokesman Robert Fredrick is shown making a deal with the leader of the hooded invaders, suggesting they settle this in War Games. If the invaders win they have control of PWGP for 30 days but if Team PWGP the invaders must leave for good. Eli Buchanan tries to throw a fireball in the leader’s face, only for him to disappear.
Robert Fredrick meets with Saul Asper, informing him that he will have to compete. When Asper protests, Fredrick makes Team Philly vs Asper’s Army a War Games Match. Asper is seen obviously distraught, rushing off with his men.
The invader team is revealed as Kraken, GRIM, Jin Hirai, Máscara de Tigre Negro, and a man wearing a red tiger mask, who throws a fireball in Eli’s face. A clip follows up showing Kraken, GRIM and Jin injurying The Big O with a Kraken moonsault to O’s exposed right leg.
War:a struggle to achieve a goal
Clips are shown of “Iron” Mack Brody defeating Faititili with a lariat clothesline and True North Ant and Asper beating Philly Cheese Snake and Bryant Adam Thompson when TNA kicked Philly low and Asper got the pin. These wins mean they will have the man advantage for the better part of the match.
Alan Hunter beats Máscara de Tigre Negro with a roll up and Eli Buchanan defeats a mysterious masked giant by disqualification. These wins mean they will have the man advantage for the better part of the match.
War: a battle!
The invader team tries to attack Eli Buchanan but Alan Hunter, The East K Connection and, to the shock of the crowd, BOB arrive and fight off the invaders.
Clips are quickly shown of competitors from both matches in pain and others showing them standing victorious.
Who will walk out of War Games the victors? Who will survive?
We go live to the Roger Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Our announce team of Greg Stradford and “Big Bad” Paul Carlyle welcome us to PWG Glory Road: War Games. They quickly remind us that tonight we will have two War Games matches, with the latter between Team PWGP and the Invaders holding serious repercussions for the company if the Eli Buchanan team loses. We’re also reminded that a tournament will be held tonight to crown a new Television Champion. But first, in partnership with Maple Leaf Wrestling Alliance, we proudly bring to you the finals of their MLWA Title Tournament. Stradford and Carlyle send it over to Nick Christoulos for the introductions.
MATCH 1
MLWA Title Tournament Final
Jimmy Winner
vs
Ted Davis
Referee: Eddie Tims
There was an interesting dynamic in the match as the seasoned “Nightmare” Ted took on the former protege of one of his greatest rivals, former Lions Road King of Lions Julian Cutlass. Jimmy showed he was a great competitor, controlling the pace for most of the match, but Davis proved that there was still a lot of fuel in the tank. Despite all this it appeared to be Jimmy’s match to lose as he methodically wore down Davis.
A lapse in judgement would cost the younger competitor in the end as Jimmy tried to finish Davis off with Cutlass’s own Blazin’ Kick, only for Davis to grab hold of his leg and transitioning into an ankle lock in the middle of the ring. Jimmy would make it to the ropes but Davis would pull him back into the middle of the ring, grapevining the leg. With nowhere to go Jimmy Winner would finally tap out.
Winner: and the new MLWA Champion, Ted Davis
The crowd cheered on the local legend as he was handed the MLWA Title. After the match Ted Davis would try shake hands with Jimmy Winner, but Winner would roll out of the ring, departing for the back in disgust. Davis didn’t allow this to lack of sportsmanship to bother him for long, as he would jump into the crowd to celebrate with the fans.

MATCH 2
WAR GAMES
-Match starts with one member of each team
-After 5 minutes the next member of Asper’s Army will enter to make it 2-1
-Every 2 minutes there after a member of alternating teams will enter until all 10 participants have entered the cage.
-The match can then only end by submission or TKO.
Team Philly Cheese Snake (Philly, Faititili, Bryant Adam Thompson, Vlars and Axel Moros)
vs
Asper’s Army (True North Ant, “Iron” Mack Brody, Agent B, Agent D and Saul Asper)
Referee: Andrew Roller
Axel and Brody started the match for their respective teams, a move that wa seen as being wise by our announcers, as their size and strength would help them endure the entirety of the contest. The two big hosses battered each other back and forth for the better part of the first five minutes. Axel appeared to be in control as the timer counted down, grinding Brody’s face into the cage, but the tide quickly changed as Agent D entered and attacked bald behemoth from behind (try saying that three times fast).
With the numbers in their advantage, Brody took turns beating Axel Moros down. Brody spent a great deal of time yelling out orders to his teammate and screaming insults at Axel. Moros was able to temporarily fight off both men before getting beaten down again. Thankfully the timer clicked down and Vlars made his way down to the ring with his trusty puke bucket and mop in tow.
Upon entering the ring, Vlars used his tools of the trade to good use, smashing the bucket across Agent D’s face and clubbing Brody with the mop. Axel would find his second wind with his tag team partner at his side and the two of them would continued the attack for the remainder of the two minutes.
As the timer clicked down to zero, Agent B would enter and once again give his team the man advantage. However, Vlars and Axel still had the mop and bucket and were able to use these weapons to fend off their three opponents for several seconds before the numbers advantage finally caught up to them and they fell victim to the very weapons Vlars had introduced to the match.
Surprisingly Philly Cheese Snake was next to enter. He caught the three members of Asper’s Army off guard with his lightning fast attack and managed to hit a German suplex on Agent B that sent him crashing into the cage. This assault was short lived however, as his partners were unable to rally to his side in their weakened state. This led eventually to a three-on-one beat down.
When True North Ant entered, it was with his team firmly in control. With The Agents of Pain and Brody working over Vlars and Axel, True North Ant took his time humiliating his former tag team partner, openly mocking him as he slapped the man in the snake mask around and choking him on the ropes.
What happened next caught a lot of people off guard. Faititli started making his way down to the ring, but was attacked from behind by none other than Bryant Adam Thompson, who smashed a chair across his former friend’s back, before smashing him face first into the cage. He continued to beat Faititli down at ringside, while the Army members did the same to the rest of his team inside the cage. It soon became clear that this was all part of an elaborate plan when Saul Asper slowly made his way down to the ring and shook hands with Thompson, handing him a wade of cash. Thompson would toss Faititili into the ring to the wolves before flipping his teammates off and exiting through the crowd.
All appeared lost for Team Philly as Asper entered the cage and ordered the door locked shut. At full strength and with no one coming to even up the five-to-four man advantage, things didn’t look to be going well. The assault on Philly and his remaining teammates continued for several minutes, with Asper and his Army seeming more interested in hurting their opponents than ending the match.
It would be an errant clothesline from True North Ant that would finally turn the tide. He would try to use the move to take Philly’s head off, after hitting three with great success. The fourth time though would see Philly collapse to the mat at the last second and TNA would hit Brody instead. This led to a very angry MAck Brody grabbing True North Ant and the two beginning to argue. Asper and the Agents tried to break it up but as the disagreement continued, it turned to three of them eventually siding with Brody and pointing the finger at True North Ant.
This gave Axel and Vlars the time they needed to recover and the two suddenly attacked with the mop and bucket, catching the divided team off guard. Soon Philly and Faititili had recovered enough to join in and for the first time on over ten minutes Philly and his team gained control.
In the midst of it all Philly locked True North Ant in a Cobra Clutch, while his teammates held the others at bay and Asper cowered in the corner. To his credit, TNA refused to submit and tried to muscle his way out of the hold. Philly would counter though, mustering up all his strength he hit a Cobra Clutch suplex on True North Ant, floating through with the Clutch still locked in. TNA would not submit though, passing out in the modified crossface. Referee Andrew Roller saw this and quickly called for the bell.
Winners: Team Philly Cheese Snake
The winning team celebrated in the ring, with Axel and Vlars lifting Philly up on their shoulders. Meanwhile Asper and his Army quickly exited the cage, with Asper offering a still unconscious TNA an angry glare as he departed. The announcers put over how huge a victory this was, especially after the treachery of Bryant Adman Thompson. We take one last look at the winning team before we head to the back.
***
We see BUAC Spokesman Robert Fredrick watching the last match along with Team PWGP. He tells them that this is exactly what they need to do tonight to prevent these invaders from taking over the company.
His assistant, Deedee Gagnon arrives and asks why Robert wanted to see her. He thanks her for coming and informs everyone in the room that he found out who was responsible for letting the invaders sneak into the PWGP Exhibition Centre on so many occasions. He points to the monitor and a hooded figure is shown opening the back to the arena, allowing the man in the tiger mask and his cohorts to enter. The figure pulls back her hood and it’s revealed to be none other than Deedee Gagnon.
The crowd boos at ringside and all eyes in the room turn to Deedee at the end of the surveillance video. Deedee tries to beg off and offer an explanation but Robert Fredrick has had enough and states he’s going to do what he should have on day one, fire her. She tries to protest but is quickly escorted out of the room by security as Robert goes back to talking strategy with the Buchanan and company.

MATCH 3
PWGP Television Title Tournament
Thing Uno
vs
Zaros (w/ Gertrude Quest)
vs
Moondog Runt (w/ The Guru)
Referee: Mark Lindsey
The renewal of this three way feud. We’re told by Greg Stradford that all matches in the first round of the Television Title Tournament will be held under triple threat rules; the winner being the individual to score the first pinfall or submission.
These three men, the smaller members of their respective teams, went hot and heavy in this match. The three of them kept the pace quick throughout the match with each man trying to outdo the other two with their high risk maneuvers. Each man controlled the action at different points but it would be Runt who would pick up the victory hitting a stomp from the top rope onto Zaros’s back while he was covering Thing Uno for the pin. Runt would then be the one to pin on Uno to gain the win.
Winner: and advancing to the tournament final, Moondog Runt
The Guru and Runt quickly make their way to the back and are greeted by Buster and The Technician. They spot BOB stomping through the halls and they block his way The Guru starts yelling at BOB, demanding to know who he thinks he is, joining Team PWGP after what Eli Buchanan did to him. Buchanan and the other members of Team PWGP show up and Eli informs The Guru that he understands BOB in a way that no one else in the company can comprehend and he picked BOB to join Team PWGP because when you are facing a group that wants to destroy PWGP you need to have a wrecking machine of your own. Hunter steps up and
MATCH 4
PWGP Television Title Tournament
The Technician (w/ The Guru)
vs
Thing Dos
vs
Goober the Gooker
Referee: Andrew Roller
In the early going of this match The Technician tried to show off his grappling skills but his opponents were having none of it. There was a lot of shenanigans at the expense of Tech from both Uno and Goober, who pulled out every playground tactic they could come up with, much to the delight of the Toronto crowd. Eventually though, The Technician took over by driving Thing Uno’s shoulder into the ringpost, sending him out of the ring, and began working over Goober the Gooker. He controlled the match for the next few minutes before Thing Uno managed to get back into the contest and started working over the masked grappler. In the midst of the ensuing chaos Tech loaded up the boot and kicked Uno in the thigh. He locked Uno in the figure four leg lock, only for Goober to cover Uno and steal the three count victory.
Winner: and advancing to the tournament final, Goober the Gooker
Everyone in the Rogers Centre was shocked at the outcome of this match, but none more than The Technician and his manager, The Guru. Goober made his escape before anyone could grab him and celebrated by strutting on the stage before heading to the back.
MATCH 5
PWGP Television Title Tournament
Moondog Buster (w/ The Guru)
vs
Vod (w/ Gertrude Quest)
vs
Orville Newton
Referee: Eddie Tims
Orville Newton looked very intimidated at the beginning of the match, as both his opponents were much bigger than he was. In fact, both Vod and Buster seemed more interested in facing one another than Newton and didn’t take long for them to dump him from the ring. The two big hosses fought back and forth for the better part of the match, neither seeming to getting the better of the other for long. Whenever Newton would try to get back in the match he was quickly tossed back out of the ring by whoever was in control at that point. Eventually though Newton would finally get back into the ring with a flying crossbody on both his opponents and he would hit a series of drop kicks on both Vod and Buster. The finish would come when Buster managed to power slam Vod, only for Newton to hit a flying drop kick from the top rope on the Moondog that also allowed him to land on Vod and pick up the three count.
Winner: and advancing to the tournament final, Orville Newton
Orville Newton was over the moon about his victory and he quickly leap into the crowd to escape from both Buster and Vod and their angry managers. He celebrated with the fans with a huge smile on his face and motioning that we are looking at the next Television Champion.
MATCH 6
Retirement Match
“High Five” Jimmy Jive
vs
James Daniels
Referee: Mark Lindsey
James Daniels attacked his father, Jive, on the way to the ring from behind and slammed him on the announce table. He would climb to the top rope and hit a flying elbow drop, driving Jive through it. It should be noted the match hadn’t officially started yet and Mark Lindsey had to force Daniels to get into the ring so he could check on Jive. Lindsey wanted to call off the match but Jive insisted he could compete.
The second Jive crawled into the ring, his son was all over him. Daniels seemed uninterested in defeating Jive by pinfall, as he would repeated toss his father out of the ring, throw him into the barricade and slam him on the floor before getting back in the ring and demanding Lindsey count him out. While the referee administered the count, Daniels would yell insults at Jive, calling him a terrible father and wishing him dead. These insults would only fire up Jive enough that he would be able to get up and beat the count, only for Daniels to toss him out of the ring again and it would start all over again.
The tide finally turned when Jive got into the ring for the fourth time. When Daniels tried to toss him back out, Jive would reverse it and send Daniel face first into the turnbuckle. Daniels would try to beg off but Jive would go on the offense with his belt and whipped him with it, taking out a lot of pent up frustration. Jive would hit a series of hip tosses and suplexes before going back to grab his belt again to use it. Mark Lindsey would try to take the belt away from him this time and in the scuffle Daniels would hit a low blow while the referee was distracted. He would quickly roll his father up in a school boy for the pinfall and put his feet on the ropes for added leverage, both of which the referee missed.
Winner: James Daniels; “High Five” Jimmy Jive must now retire
After the match JAmes Daniels rolled out of the ring and grabbed a mic. He began singing “Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah, Hey, Hey, Hey, Goodbye!” He tried to get the fans to sing it with him, but the fans only booed and some threw trash at him. Daniels ignored it all, laughing at his father as he made his way to the back. After he was gone, the crowd offered Jimmy Jive a standing ovation as he slowly made it to his feet. His eyes welled up with tears, as he offered a bow to the crowd and quietly exited the ring, slapping a few hands as he made it to the back for the last time.
MATCH 7
PWGP Television Title Tournament Finals
Moondog Runt (w/ The Guru)
vs
Goober the Gooker
vs
Orville Newton
Referee: Andrew Roller
Many are still shocked that these three men are in the finals of the tournament. The three oddball competitors faced off and the match went back and forth between them as they exchanged a series of moves, which really seemed to get the crowd into the encounter. None of the three men seemed to be able to maintain control the match for very long, until Runt finally sent Goober out of the ring with a headbutt to the chest. The smaller member of the Moondogs would work over Newton for the better part of the match, repeatedly knocking Goober down whenever he tried to get back in the ring. Goober would at one point try to get back in the ring, using the same flying cross body maneuver Newton used in his previous match, but Runt would crotch him on the top rope and leave him there while he there while he went back to beating down Newton. What happened next shocked many fans, as Newton would catch Runt with a jaw breaker and hit a DDT out of nowhere and went for the pin. Saul Asper rushed down to the ring and distracted Andrew Roller. Meanwhile Goober climbed back up to the top rope and hit a Shooting Star Press on top of both men. The crowd looked shocked as Goober rolled Newton off Runt and pinned the Moondog for the 1...2...3.
Winner: and new PWGP Television Champion, Goob…
Goober suddenly removed his mask and revealed it was really Bryant Adam Thompson! Thompson and Asper embrace as he’s handed the Television Title and the two made it to the back arm in arm.
Winner: and new PWGP Television Champion, Bryant Adam Thompson

MATCH 8
War Games
Team PWGP (Eli Buchanan, Alan Hunter, Easy E, Sweet Daddy D and BOB)
vs
“The Invaders” (“Tiger Mask Red”, Kraken, GRIM, Jin Hirai and Máscara de Tigre Negro)
In a bold move, Eli Buchanan chose to enter first for Team PWGP, meanwhile The Invaders sent out Jin Hirai. Eli actually tried to talk sense into his former friend after the bell rang, but Jin attacked him without blinking an eye and The Last Dragon found himself having to fend off the Japanese Mad Dog. After weathering the initial onslaught from Jin, Eli quickly rebound with a series of German suplexes, which led to a chant of “Suplex Jungle” to break out in the crowd. Eli seemed firmly in control until Jin produced a twelve inch spike and jabbed it into the Global Champion’s forehead, causing him to scream out. The clock ticked down to zero and out came Alan Hunter who quickly knocked the spike from Jin Hirai’s hand with a kick and tackled him.
While Eli recovered in the corner, Hunter and Hirai fought. The pace started to quicken and we are reminded how agile Hirai still is, despite the changes to his personality since becoming GRIM’s soldier of doom. The crowd was amazed when Jin pulled a rana out of nowhere, sending Hunter into the cage. He turned to go back after Eli, but the Global Champion beat him to the punch by ramming the spike into the side of Hirai’s head. The buzzer then sounded and out came Máscara de Tigre Negro, with a chair in hand. He springboarded from one ring to the next, smashing the chair into the Eli’s face, opening his wound that much more.
Negro and Jin nodded at one another and the two crazed men went to work beating down Hunter and Buchanan with their respective weapons. Jin took his spike and jammed it back into the wound in the side of Eli’s face, while Nego choked out Hunter with the chair right up against the side of the chair. There was little the officials could do to intercede as even if either man submitted or passed out to the pain, the match couldn’t officially end until all ten men were in the cage. Many in the crowd let out a sound of relief when the clock finally ticked down and out came Easy E to the rescue of his allies.
The masked man from Winnipeg charged into the cage and kicked the chair right into Negro’s face. When Jin tried to attack him with the spike, Easy E ducked the blow and hit a spin heel kick that sent Jin tumbling between the ropes and caught in the small crevice between the adjoined rings. Hunter was able to finally recover and the two of them began to double team Negro, hitting a series of kicks and punches before nearly knocking him out of his boots with a “Total Elimination” style leg sweep and spin heel kick combination.
The buzzer sound once more and out came GRIM to once again even up the odds for his team. He announced his introduction by blowing a blue mist as he entered the cage as a warning of things to come. Jin and Negor soon rallied to him, turning the situation into a three on two, as Eli still hadn’t made it to his feet after the assault with the spike. Easy E and Alan Hunter did their best to hold the three of them off, but even with the chair at their disposal it wasn’t long before they were nearly overwhelmed by the trio. Things were beginning to look bad once again for Team PWGP until the buzzer sounded once again and out ran Sweet Daddy D.
The Sweetner entered the cage like a man possessed, catching all The Invaders off guard with a series of right hands. It wasn’t long before Hunter and Easy E joined in and we had a super kick party on our hands. Eli finally managed to get to his feet and began smashing the chair across GRIM’s back, while Easy E and Sweet Daddy D piled Negro on top of Jin and Hunter dropped a Swanton Bomb on them both.
The Buzzer sounded and out came Kraken. All the members of Team PWGP moved to confront him but the French Canadian Colossus entered strong, shoving all of them away and catching Eli off guard with a sickening looking clothesline that nearly took his bloodied head off its shoulders. Kraken worked as a one man wrecking crew, while his teammates recovered, handing out choke slams to both Easy E and Hunter, as well as power slamming Sweet Daddy D to the mat. The rest of The Invaders took advantage of his handy work to continue the assault on all the member of PWGP in the cage. With only two more people left remaining to enter, it didn’t look good for the home team and the crowd seemed oddly hushed.
When the buzzer sounded though, the crowd came to life as BOB charged the ring. Jin and Negro tried to hold the cage door closed but BOB ripped it out of their hands, nearly dragging both men out of the cage in the process. GRIM pointed at him as he entered, appearing to ready himself to blow mist in BOB’s face, but the green-faced goliath kicked him square in the jaw, causing the most to red spray harmlessly into the air. With the other Invaders down and the rest of Team PWGP still recovering, Kraken and BOB came face to face and started trading blows while the crowd cheered with glee and despite his size advantage, Kraken found himself on the losing end of the exchange as BOB caused him to stagger back from the blows and sent him tumbling between the ropes with a huge kick.
The rest of Team PWGP seemed to come to life, soaking in the unlimited amount of energy that BOB appeared to be giving off. Hunter, Sweet Daddy D and Easy E began fighting with Jin Hirai and Máscara de Tigre Negro. GRIM tried to even the odds, but nearly had his head taken off by a chair shot from Eli Buchanan! The fans started to cheer as Team PWGP appeared to be routing their arrivals and victory seemed to be at hand.
Then the buzzer sounded and the lights went out.
When they came back up, the mystery man in the tiger mask was standing in the middle of the ring. He tried to throw a fireball at Eli, but Buchanan blocked it with the chair still in his hands, sending it right back into “Tiger Mask Red’s” face. Eli was instantly on him, trying to rip the mask off. GRIM tried to stop him but was quickly taken out by Sweet Daddy D with a super kick. BOB held Kraken off while Easy E and Hunter kept the remaining Invaders at bay long enough for for Eli to finally rip the mask off and hold it above his face in victory.
The mystery man slowly rose to his feet and while Eli looked at him in shock. While no one in the crowd knew who he was, the camera caught Eli saying, “Riel?” The red haired man standing across from him only laughed maniacally in response and the lights suddenly went out again. When they came back up the seven foot masked monster was in the ring instead of “Riel” and before Eli could react, he was choke slammed.
Chaos immediately ensued. GRIM managed to spin BOB around and spit green mist into BOB’s eyes. The wildman from Parts Unknown cried out in pain. The masked monster and Kraken quickly delivered a double choke slam to him that sent in straight through the mat, all but eliminating him from the match. Easy E, Sweet Daddy D and Alan Hunter tried to fight off all five men, but where no match for full force of The Invaders. In short order Jin and Negro fed each of them to Kraken and the masked monster, and they were all double choke slammed into hole on top of BOB.
This left a blooded and beaten Eli Buchanan to face five of his most hated adversaries alone. To his credit he gave it his all, using the chair to knock Jin and Negro aside before getting goozled by the monster. Even then he had fight in him, tossing a fireball into the monster’s face, but to his shock, the fireball did not faze the monster one bit. Kraken grabbed Eli by the throat as well and the two behemoths choke slammed Eli to the mat. He was pulled up and Negro smashed him across the back with the chair before Eli was hit with a second double choke slam. He was lifted up a third time and Jin jammed the spike into his face before he was once again slammed to the mat. He was pulled up again, this time for GRIM to spray him in the face with black mist and was double choke slammed one last time.
With none of the other members of Team PWGP able to recover from what had happened to them and Eli unable to defend himself, head referee Andrew Roller made the necessary choice to bell and awarded the match to the Invaders.
Winners: by referee stoppage, The Invaders. The Invaders now control PWGP for 30 days.
The crowd sat in silence as officials and medic rushed into the ring to check on the members of Team PWGP. By this time Easy E, Sweet Daddy D and Alan Hunter would making their way out of the hole in the ring and began crawling over to Eli, who still hadn’t moved.
Meanwhile outside the ring, The Invaders were celebrating. Several masked men, led by none other than Deedee Gagnon, made their way into the arena and began ripping down everything with PWGP’s likeness on it. In the midst of it all, the masked monster disappeared and “Riel” resurfaced, standing on top of the announce table, while Stradford and Carlyle could only look on in shock. “Riel” grabbed a camera and announced that PWGP, as we all know it, was dead and he planned to remake it into his own likeness. With that, he waved goodbye and the signal to the feed disappeared.
TO BE CONTINUED… MAYBE?

MATCH 8
