BRIEF HISTORY -
The first 18 years of Rafa Whatley’s life was spent training to become a Pro Football player. He was a standout running back from the time he was a child, and was recruited for a three-year stint at University of Miami. Rafa was drafted in 2016 and had a spectacular rookie campaign.
His fortunes shifted dramatically in early 2017 when he was suspended by The Commissioner of Pro Football under suspicion of sports betting. By July of that year, at the end of a five month investigation, the Commissioner of Football banned Rafa for life.
Rafa has since become a lightning rod, drawing criticism everywhere from sports analyst Stephen A. Smith to President Donald Trump. He and his agent Marion Payett decided to parlay the notoriety into a wrestling career. After just a few months of rudimentary training, Rafa debuted in Lion's Road to a controversial reception. He has since attempted to establish himself as a viable draw in both Lion's Road domestically, and for a variety of independents overseas.
