PWGP “CHARGE” opens with highlights from a press conference held at the PWGP Exhibition Centre earlier today. Acting general manager, Deedee Gagnon, welcomes members of the media for coming and addresses the recent revival of Shining Road Wrestling in Japan and the participation of fellow Invading Army members, Kraken and “Iron” Mack Brody, as they will face the young duo of Ikki Yangai and Kishin Nozaki in the main of event of the company’s return. She states that she hopes this will be the beginning of the a wonderful relationship between the two companies and seems to take credit for making this match happen.
She hands over the reigns to the manager of “Krack and Mack”, Saul Asper. Asper wastes little time mocking Yangai and Nozaki, calling them mere “young boys” who are about to have a career making match, too bad it will break them instead. Asper brags on Kraken and Mack Brody, reminding us all they are the current PWGP International Tag Team Champions and goes further by calling them the greatest tag team to ever hold the GPWS Tag Team Titles (a championship formally affiliated with Shining Road). This will not be a wrestling match, Asper assures the members of the press in attendance, it will be a mugging that no one will soon forget.
Following Asper’s remarks, Gagnon step back up to the podium and addresses tonight’s show. She once again takes credit for booking another cross promotional match, this one for this evening. Seattle Pro Wrestling’s World Heavyweight Champion HAMMERSTEIN will defend his title against none other than “Iron” Mack Brody in a No Disqualification, No Count Out Match.
Brody pushes her aside and goes on a foul language-filled tirade about how he’s going to destroy HAMMERSTEIN tonight in the main event. He’s wanted this match for over a year and a half and cannot wait to beat the Seattle Pro World Champion “like the pig he is” and kick him out the door like they did to Eli Buchanan two weeks ago.
Asper and Kraken pull Brody away from the microphone. Asper apologizing for his client’s remarks, calling him “spirited”. Deedee Gagnon tries her best to take control of the situation and she’s clearly flustered about thing not going how she planned. She tries to close up the press conference by thanking the members of the media for coming and telling them to tune into a great ninety minutes of of pro wrestling this evening.
A stir from off stage though catches her off guard and she becomes visibly upset as Buck U Productions CEO Charlotte Buchanan steps forward, with company VP David Flynn, BUAC spokesman Robert Fredrick and a third man in a three piece suit, in toe. Gagnon quickly flees from the podium and hides among the members of Invading Army as Charlotte takes the microphone and addresses the media and fans in attendance.
She informs us all that she’s here to address a few issues. Firstly, while Gagnon and The Invading Army currently have control of PWGP, they do not have the right to fire any member of roster as they are contracted to Buck U Productions. She reminds the members of the Army that this includes most of them so they better pray they win their match in two weeks for full control of the company because she will personally be signing everyone of their termination papers that the BUAC places on her desk if they don’t.
Charlotte hands the floor over to Robert Fredrick, who tells us that while the BUAC has no power in PWGP at this time, Buck U Productions have authorized him on their behalf to name the team who will represent their interests in remaining owners of the company. He won’t tell us who he’s chosen at this time but promises if you watch tonight’s episode of “CHARGE” we will all be introduced to the team’s captain.
Robert Fredrick quickly hands the microphone over to Charlotte Buchanan, who thanks everyone coming and wishes everyone wrestling tonight on “CHARGE” the best of luck. Before she leaves Charlotte nods to the third man with her who quickly steps forward and hands Deedee Gagnon papers. Buck U Productions is bringing charges of corporate espionage against her and she’s told that they will see her in court.
With that announcement, Charlotte and her team leave the stage, declining to answer any questions at this time. The reporters quickly turn their attention to an enraged Deedee Gagnon and the members of The Invading Army, but they leave the stage every quickly with Gagnon yelling “NO COMMENT” to the number of questions biraging her as she departs.

We are now live in the PWGP Exhibition Centre and are welcomed to “CHARGE” by “That Masked Guy” El Hombre Loco Enmascarado and Saul Asper. Asper accuses Loco for what we’ve just seen but Loco feigns ignorance. They quickly go over tonight’s program.
In a rematch from last week, PWGP Television Champion Bryant Adam Thompson will defend his title against Goober the Gooker. Gagnon has promised that no member of The Invading Army, except Asper himself, will be permitted at ringside for this match. Asper calls this an easy victory for his client and promised that Thompson will win in less than three minutes.
Following that, PWGP Global Champion Daimon will defend the title against Philly Cheese Snake. This match was ordered by Gagnon after Philly prevented Daimon last week from doing further damage to his opponent, True North Ant, following their match. Asper says that the snake man will regret ever getting involved in Army business and promises that Philly’s comeback is about to come to a violent ending.
And in the main event, as already announced during the press conference, HAMMERSTEIN will defend his Seattle Pro Wrestling World Title against one half of the PWGP International Tag Team Champions, “Iron” Mack Brody. Asper has a shoutout for SPW owner Robb Daniels, telling him to get ready to negotiate because after tonight if he ever wants to see his World Title again he’s going to have to open up his cheque book because it won’t come cheap.
All this and more, Loco tells us. He sends it over to our ring announcer, Nick Christoulos, to make the introductions for the opening match.
MATCH 1
PWGP Television Title Match
Bryant Adam Thompson (champion, with Saul Asper)
vs
Goober the Gooker
(Referee: Eddie Tims)
Asper leaves the announce table and is replaced by Christoulos for this match. Before the opening bell, Thompson reminds all of us he promised to win this match in less than three minutes. He asks someone from the production studio to put three minutes on the clock. Three minutes appears on the “Charge-Tron” and Eddie Tims calls for the bell.
The match begins with Thompson offering a handshake but Goober transitioning it into a hammerlock. Thompson tries to counter it into a handerlock of his own but Goober blocks the attempt and sinches the hold in tighter. The champion finally breaks the hold by reaching between his legs and grabbing Goober’s foot, causing the turkey to fall on his back. Thompson bounces off the ropes but Goober catches the champ with a hip toss. Thompson up quickly but gets caught with a second hip toss as the crowd starts coming alive. The turkey man tries for a third but Thompson reverses it, spinning Goober around and hitting a leaping knee strike. The dazed turkey man falls victim to to a spinning roundhouse kick from Thompson and crumbles to the mat. Thompson quickly springboards on to the top rope and hits Bat Outta Hell for the easy three count.

Back from break we see all the members of The Invading Army celebrating Thompson’s “big win” over Goober. Gagnon congratulates him on the victory but Thompson asks her for another match with Goober next week and he promises to beat Goober in two minutes. Gagnon grants him his request. She then goes on to tell the group that they need to get serious because in two weeks they cannot afford to lose. She tells them that Charlotte Buchanan and Robert Fredrick think they’re so smart but she’s already three steps ahead of them. The show in two weeks time will feature The Invading Army versus “Team PWGP” in a special three out of five matches series, with the future of PWGP being held in the balance. The group tells her they’re ready and they continue to celebrate with Thompson.

PWGP 24/7 Champion BOB enters the building with his manager, The Guru and the other members of “The Family. The Technician is grumbling that he should be in the title picture right now but The Guru tells him not to worry about it. Once the dust settles between in two weeks they can work towards getting him a Global Title match. Until then they need to concentrate on keeping the 24/7 Title. He tells Tech and The Moondogs to go to their locker room and they would be joining them shortly. After they’re gone, The Guru tells BOB to come with him and they make their way to Gagnon’s office.
A scream comes from off camera and Things Uno and Dos come rushing in with a pair of chairs. The pair starts swinging but BOB doesn’t seem to even notice the chair shots. He bats the chairs out of their hands and grabbing them by the masks hits them both with a series of headbutts before tossing them against the wall. The Guru laughs at what just happened and claps BOB on the back. He motions to BOB to follow him and the two walk off, leaving the Things lying on the floor.

Philly Cheese Snake is getting ready in his locker room. He jumps to his feet as True North Ant enters. TNA holds his hands up and says he’s only here to thank him for coming to his aid last week and wishes him good luck against Daimon tonight. He offers Philly his hand but the snake man refuses, saying what he did last week was the right thing to do but that didn’t mean he forgave him for what he did to him two years ago. True North Ant tries again to apologize but Philly doesn’t want any of it and storms off for his match.

MATCH 2
PWGP World Title Match
Daimon (champion)
vs
Philly Cheese Snake
(Referee: Eddie Tims)
Before the match begins Riel enters the ring and yells insults at Philly Cheese Snake. The lights go off inside the Exhibition Centre and when they come back on Daimon stands in Riel’s place in the ring. Philly wastes no time hitting a drop kick to the champion’s knee. Daimon staggers but doesn’t go down from the attack. Philly goes for a second low drop kick but Daimon side steps it and tries to hit an elbow drop. Philly rolls out of the way and takes advantage of the situation by kicking Daimon to the side of the head as he tries to get up. Daimon tries to shake off the blow to his head as Philly climbs to the top rope. The snake man jumps off with a flying crossbody block but the champion swats him out of the air.
Daimon lets out a roar, the first sound we’ve ever heard coming from his mouth. He grabs Philly by the throat and lifts him to his feet. The champion goes for for a choke slam but Philly grabs a hold of his arm and transitions into a triangle choke. It appears for just a moment that Daimon is in trouble as he falls to a knee while Philly does his best to choke him out. Suddenly though Daimon stands and lifts Philly above his head. Philly tries to maintain the triangle but Daimon’s too strong. His fingers wrap around Philly’s throat and the triangle is released. Daimon drops the snake man with a devastating choke slam and covers him for the three count.
Winner: and still PWGP Global Champion, Daimon.
Following the match, Daimon grabs Philly Cheese Snake by the throat and lifts him back to his feet. He lifts him above his head, looking for a choke breaker but True North Ant slides in the ring and clips the champion from behind. He grabs Philly by the arm and drags him out of the ring and tries to get to safety. The members of the Invading Army rush down to ringside, blocking their escape. The duo slide back into the ring in an effort to avoid them but end up right into the grasp of Daimon, who grabs them both by the throat.
The lights suddenly go off. Several voices can be heard yelling, wondering what’s going on. When the light comes back up Philly Cheese Snake and True North Ant are gone but so is Daimon. A very confused Riel looks around and starts shout at the other members of The Invading Army, demanding to know what just happened. The group looks around for Philly and TNA but they’re gone.
Riel turns to Loco and Asper and demands they take the show to break as he continues to shout at everyone and demands to know what’s happened here.
***
Back from break we find Riel pacing in Gagnon’s office. Gagnon tries to calm him and asks Riel what happened to Daimon. Riel yells at her that he doesn’t know. He does his best to calm himself and apologizes to her. Someone is playing games with them and he doesn’t like it. Gagnon tells him they will get to the bottom of this and not to worry about it.
“Iron” Mack Brody enters with Saul Asper. Gagnon ask the wild Texan if he’s ready and he tells her that he’s been looking forward to this match for a year and a half, ever since HAMMERSTEIN first put his nose in Iron Mack’s business. She wishes him luck and tells him a lot is riding on him defeating the Seattle Pro Wrestling World Champion tonight. Gagnon and Asper share a kiss before he departs with his client and wishes him good luck as well.
***
Nick Christoulos is once again sitting with Loco at the booth and we’re told he will be doing so for the remainder of the evening as Saul Asper will be preparing MAck Brody for his match for the Seattle Pro World Championship. While they’re talking, The Guru comes to the ring with 24/7 Champion BOB. He grabs a microphone and tells everyone that the 24/7 Title was made for his client. BOB is an unstoppable monster and allowing him to be in an environment that allows him to do whatever he wants makes him that much more dangerous. The Guru tells everyone that no one will take the 24/7 Title from BOB but if anyone wants to take a shot at it here’s their chance.
The challenge is quickly answered as Pollomania alumni Capt Gill Baits comes out of the back and makes his way to ringside.
MATCH 3
PWGP 24/7 Championship Match
BOB (champion, with The Guru)
vs
Capt Gill Baits
(Referee: Mark Lindsey)
The second Lindsey calls for the bell, Baits pulls a large bass from his jacket and smacks BOB across the face with it. This only angers the green faced goliath, who answers with a headbutt. BOB grabs the bass from Baits’ hand and hits him with it before ripping the fish apart and tossing it out of the ring. The Guru slides a chair into the ring and yells at BOB to use it. BOB picks it up and smashes Baits over the head with it. Baits is out on his feet and crumbles to the mat. BOB proceeds to bash the sea captain’s prone body with the chair several times before The Guru yells at him to stop. He signals for BOB to finish it and the green faced goliath hits a running splash and makes the cover for the three count.
Winner: and still PWGP 24/7 Champion, BOB
After the match, BOB picks Baits up and tosses him from the ring. The Guru enters and raises his client’s arm in victory. Loco and Christoulos wonder if anyone can possibly take the 24/7 Championship from this man and we go to break with BOB holding his title over his head while The Guru continues to sing his praises.

Back from break we see that the ringside area has been filled with weapons of destruction in preparation for the main event. As “Iron” Mack Brody enters with Saul Asper, he throws a few chairs and a garbage can into the ring. He grabs a kendo stick before sliding into the ring and waits for his opponent to enter.
HAMMERSTEIN walks out of the back with his spokesman, Reese Kennedy, at his side. The Seattle Pro World Champion whispers something in Reese’s ear. Reese appears to protest but HAMMERSTEIN appears to insist. Finally Reese nods his head and makes his way to the back as the champion continues to the ring. He grabs a chair along the way and enters the ring with it and waits for the introductions.
MAIN EVENT
MATCH 5
Seattle Pro Wrestling World Championship Title Match
HAMMERSTEIN (champion)
vs
“Iron” Mack Brody (PWGP International Tag Team Champion, with Saul Asper)
(Referee: Andrew Roller)
The bell rings and Brody comes out swinging with the kendo stick. HAMMERSTEIN blocks the blow with the chair, knocking it from Brody’s hands. Brody, now unarmed, takes a step back. HAMMERSTEIN tosses the chair aside and yells for him to come get a piece of him. The two rush at each other and start throwing fists at one another while the crowd goes wild. Brody, the born brawler with over a decade of experience in the business and a big height and weight advantage, starts to get the better of the exchange. His punches seem to rattle the World Champion, sending him staggering back into the corner, but HAMMERSTEIN starts firing back with a series of right hands of his own. He knocks Brody against the ropes and hits a running Cactus clothesline, sending both men crashing to the floor.
The crowd cheers on both men as they slowly get to the feet and start throwing fists at one another once more. Brody rakes HAMMERSTEIN’s eyes and gets admonished for it by Andrew Roller. Asper and Roller begin to argue, with Asper stating the referee’s only job in this match is to make the three count. Meanwhile Brody tosses HAMMERSTEIN into the ring and grabs a garbage can lid. He smashes it over the champion’s head and goes for the cover but barely gets even a one count for his trouble. Brody tries to pull HAMMERSTEIN to his feet but the champion grabs a discarded kendo stick and nails “Iron” Mack between the eyes with it.
The Seattle Pro World Champions nails several more shots with the stick before tossing it aside and going for a German Hammerplex. Loco and Chistoulos are shocked to see an actual wrestling move in this match but the champion has no intention of turning this into a Greco-Roman exhibition. HAMMERSTEIN starts piling up several chairs while Brody is trying to recover. It looks as of he’s preparing something huge for his opponent and picks up a garbage can to inflict more damage to Brody. Asper jumps up on the apron to tell at the champion, who spins around and tossed the garbage can at him. Asper manages to duck and drops back to the floor his distraction has bought Brody the time he needs. HAMMERSTEIN turns around only to have Brody’s size 22 boot nearly go down his throat. Brody turns and sees the chairs and a evil grin forms on his face. He grabs HAMMERSTEIN and tries to lift him up for the Iron Cross but the champion manages to fight free. He hits Brody with a few body blows but quickly gets leveled with a huge lariat clothesline.
Pissed off now, Brody calls Asper into the ring. Andrew Roller protests but can do little stop it as Brody and Asper set up four of the chairs, putting them together to form a sort of steel cot with them but creating a place for rest is the furthest thing from their mind. Brody places a fifth chair flat across the other and picks up HAMMERSTEIN. He grabs the champion by the throat with both hands and lifts him up and delivers a two handed choke slam on top of the steel chair structure. The crowd erupts with a “holy shit” chant as the chairs crumble beneath HAMMERSTEIN and Brody goes for the cover. 1...2… Kick out!
A shocked Brody grabs Andrew Roller by the throat but the referee assures him it was only a two count. Brody wastes no more time. He picks the champion up and powerbombs him on one of the chairs. 1...2.. Kick out! The crowd cheers even louder as HAMMERSTEIN has somehow escaped another pinfall attempt.
Brody doesn’t bother to argue with Roller this time. Instead he climbs out and starts looking under the ring. The crowd pops as he begins pulling out tables and, with Asper’s help, slides
a few of them into the ring. Brody climbs back in the ring and props one of the tables up in the far corner, while setting up the other two and places them side by side in the middle of the ring. Grabbing HAMMERSTEIN, he lifts him up and puts him on the top turnbuckle. It becomes pretty clear what his intentions are as he climbs to the second rope and locks HAMMERSTEIN in a front chancery. He tries to hit a superplex but HAMMERSTEIN starts fighting back with a series of punches. Brody is stunned but continues to fight for the superplex. HAMMERSTEIN final manages to fight free of Brody’s grip and bites his his nose. Brody lets out a cry and with one more solid punch from the champion, the big Texan releases his hold and falls on top of the tables. The impact isn’t enough to cause the tables to break and Brody lies there stunned, trying to get his bearings back. Meanwhile HAMMERSTEIN sees his chance and managing to get to the top rope hits a flying splash on top of Brody, the impact sending both men through the tables.
Asper is beside himself seeing his man down and his chances of managing the Seattle Pro World Champion slipping through his fingers. He starts waving to towards the stage and the members of the Invading Army coming charging from the locker room.
Loco begs for the match not to end like this with outside interference and his prayers seem to be answered. The lights go out in the PWGP Exhibition Centre and none of than Brutus Smith is standing before them when the lights come back up. The entire Army is taken back at the sight of the masked giant and a look of realization appears on Riel’s face as he points an accusing finger at Smith and slowly back up the ramp. Loco exclaims that Brutus Smith must be the individual that Robert Fredrick spoke about at the press conference and it appears that Team PWGP might now have a fighting chance of winning in two weeks.
The East K Connection, Faititli, and several other members of the crowd come through the crowd to offer the giant some backup and the group slowly backs the Army back up the ramp and sends them to the back.
Meanwhile in the ring, Brody and HAMMERSTEIN slowly get to their feet. Asper is still at ringside and is begging with Brody to put the champion away. Brody kicks HAMMERSTEIN to the gut and goes for a second power bomb but the champion backdrops him on a piece of the broken table. Brody gets to his feet and looks around for HAMMERSTEIN. POUNCE! The champion sends Brody crashing through the table in the corner. He drags him the big Texan away from the ropes and goes for the cover. 1...2… Kick out!
HAMMERSTEIN is shocked the Pounce didn’t put Brody away. He pulls his opponent to his feet and tries for the Hammerstein. He can’t seem to hold him up for the move and Brody lands behind him and kicks him to the stomach as he turns around. Brody lifts HAMMERSTEIN up and goes for the Iron Cross, but his back gives out on him and HAMMERSTEIN lands on his feet. The champion quickly scoops up a chair and nails Brody with it. He grabs him again and nails the HAMMERSTEIN on the chair and goes for the cover. 1...2...3…!
Winner: And still Seattle Pro Wrestling World Champion, HAMMERSTEIN!
The crowd erupts as Andrew Roller raises the champion’s hand and hands him his title. Brutus Smith and the others enter the ring to congratulate him on his win, as we see Deedee Gagnon and Riel watching with disdain from her office. The show goes off the air with HAMMERSTEIN raising his championship above his head in victory.
Brutus Smith is back and Team PWGP picks up a moral victory. Will this lead to the the downfall of The Invading Army, or are things about to get much worse? There’s only one way to find out. Tune in next week and see another great night of pro-wrestling in the heart of the Canadian Prairies.
In the meantime, and in between time… Good night, God bless and I AM BRUTE!
