Back from break, "Heart of a Champion" is blaring as Matt Pulver climbs up into the ring.
BRADY ROSSEN
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your main event of the evening! A Triangle Survival to be fought over a fifteen minute time limit! Introducing first from Bloomington, Minnesota by way of Leksand, Sweden! He weighs in at one hundred and ninety pounds! MATT PULVER!
Pulver raises his arms after climbing through the ropes. His music is interrupted by "Panic" by the Smiths and Ben Chrenshaw calmly marches out, dressed in a WALL t-shirt with Alexander Irvine accompanying him to the ring. The reaction is mixed as it is, but grows louder when the fans see that the WALL is in full force out here this evening.
BRADY ROSSEN
Introducing next fighting out of London, England! He weighs in at two hundred and thirteen pounds! BEN CHRENSHAW!
Irvine pats Chrenshaw on the back and heads to a corner as Chrenshaw climbs in the ring, Pulver and the Crippler exchange a glance before the lights go out and suddenly the screen comes alive with shots of the Crusaders - AJ Knight, Ben Chrenshaw and Matt Pulver. Accompanying the visual is "Judas" by Fozzy...
"WHAT HAVE I BECOME?!"
The lights draw up, AJ Knight marches down the aisle with his ring jacket on and hood up. He pulls his jacket back enough to reveal a Crusaders t-shirt.
BRADY ROSSEN
Fighting out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania! He weighs in at two hundred and twenty pounds! AJ KNIGHT!
He steps through the ropes staring down the men who were once his friends, staring a hole through the two of them. He rips the Crusaders shirt as he removes the jacket, drawing a pop from the crowd.
BRIAN SHELZI
Leave it to AJ Knight to use a song about being a crappy friend to get the crowd on his side... To make matters worse? It actually worked!
SAM HEWITT
Say what you will but the kid's a fine showman.
BRADY ROSSEN
Your referee for this bout is Cordell Garner!
Garner quickly checks all three men over and then asks who's going to be starting first. Ben Chrenshaw casually walks to the ropes and steps out onto the apron. AJ shakes his head, but Pulver is smiling.
BRIAN SHELZI
Mind games already, Sammy. Chrenshaw knows where Pulver's beef is!
SAM HEWITT
And he knows AJ wanted a piece of him.
BRIAN SHELZI
Just like all of the other millennials out there, AJ's going to have to sit and wait.
The bell sounds as AJ is talking trash to Chrenshaw on the apron, not even seeing Pulver who clubs him from behind with a forearm and drops him into the corner. Chrenshaw raises his arms and backs away, showing Garner that he's not getting involved with the action there and heads to another corner instead. Pulver turns AJ around, knees him in the gut and then proceeds to blast him with some forearm shots before clutching his wrist and launching him across the ring with an Irish whip. AJ hits the buckles hard, but not so hard that he can't get his foot up to catch Pulver coming in! The Swede stumbles back the way he came before falling to his knees, AJ takes a moment to recuperate then grabs Pulver up...
SNAP SUPLEX!
AJ floats over into a cover, neglecting to hook the leg.

2-NO!
AJ gets up, then brings Pulver back up to the vertical base with him. Pulver breaks free and swings, AJ ducks and grabs his former partner in a three quarter facelock and hauls him down with a snapmare. From there, he stays on the attack - applying a reverse chin lock as he stares down Ben Chrenshaw on the apron. His attention diverted away from Pulver makes its incredibly easy for the man of a thousand holds to escape, but AJ grabs a hold of him as he's getting back up and drives his head off the top turnbuckle. AJ turns to Chrenshaw and says something that the cameras don't pick up, but it brings a shit-eating grin to the Crippler's face! Once again, AJ's lack of focus allows Pulver to recover and this time, he drives the back of his elbow into AJ's gut and then follows it up with a forearm smash! AJ staggers down to a knee...
PULVER DROPKICKS IT!
AJ rolls out of the ring in pain! Garner signals that this is an automatic tag and Pulver stops, watching Chrenshaw who stays on the apron and motions for Pulver to continue. Pulver keeps his eyes on the Crippler as he climbs out onto the apron, then drops down to the floor to grab AJ. He throws him back inside and enters behind, he gets to his feet and leaps up - stomping AJ's back with both feet, driving him right back down to the mat in a hurry. Pulver rolls him onto his back.

2-NO!
BRIAN SHELZI
Violent and effective, I like it!
SAM HEWITT
Yes, sir, a double stomp to the back while the former World's Champion was on all fours - driving him to the mat at a much faster rate than he was expecting, I'm sure.
Pulver grabs a leg, driving his foot into the back of AJ's knee as he rolls his former partner onto his stomach. Pulver hooks AJ's foot under his thigh and squats down, putting all kinds of pressure on the knee he dropkicked just a short while earlier. Brady Rossen tells us that five minutes has gone by in the match. Pulver rises up from his squatting position, then goes right back down, repeating the process several times in hopes of making the leg numb and useless. All the weight and leverage on the affected leg, Shelzi says it looks awfully painful and quite frankly, probably is. Irvine tells Pulver to cripple him, but the look Pulver gives Irvine in response tells you that no matter how bad things are between he and AJ, he's not on the same page or wavelength with Irvine and Chrenshaw and the WALL. AJ pushes off the mat, bucking Pulver off balance and knocking him down. AJ crawls and grabs the ropes, getting a break. He quickly, or as quickly as he can given the work done on his leg, gets back to his feet. Pulver charges him in the corner, changing his target at the last second from his head to his leg, driving his knee into AJ's leg. The Crusader collapses to the mat as Pulver reaches up to tag Chrenshaw, who walks away. Pulver looks at Garner, who can only shrug.
SAM HEWITT
Pulver was looking to make the tag, but Ben Chrenshaw walked to the other side of the apron. No interest at all in getting in just yet.
BRIAN SHELZI
Nor should he have any, Sammy. Chrenshaw's one of the smartest men in that ring. Pulver wants AJ, AJ wants Chrenshaw. If I'm Chrenshaw, I'm doing exactly what he's doing here. He's letting Pulver take out all of his frustrations on Knight, so when Chrenshaw finally gets into the ring, then he's got little work to do.
SAM HEWITT
And what if Pulver eliminates AJ before Chrenshaw can get his hands on him?
BRIAN SHELZI
I don't think he cares. At that point, you have Chrenshaw fresh as a daisy in there against a worn down Pulver. Who would you take?
SAM HEWITT
You can't discount the advantage a fresh fighter has in this match, but Pulver is not a kid you want to count out of the equation either.
Pulver pulls AJ away from the corner and looks at Chrenshaw, then tries to apply a single leg crab. AJ upkicks him for that, sending Pulver backwards into the corner. Pulver clears the cob webs then roars back out. AJ anticipates this and puts his legs up, but Pulver leaps over like he's Shogun Rua, bringing the stomp down. AJ rolls out of the way! Pulver drops to his knees, the Pennsylvania native gets up and dives into a rear waist hold. He drags Pulver up to his feet, hoists him up...
ATOMIC DROP!
Pulver hits the mat, chills no doubt going up and down his spine. AJ falls onto his back, clutching his injured leg. Garner checks on him quickly, but of course AJ is game to keep going. He collects himself and gets up, grabbing Pulver along the way for some balance. He sends the Swede into the ropes and drops him on the rebound with a superkick! AJ falls to the mat, but limps back to his feet and showboats a bit in the direction of Ben Chrenshaw. Pulver is getting to his feet behind AJ, so the Crusader turns around and clubs him with a forearm that knocks him back into the ropes. AJ goes for an Irish whip again, but short-arms it and sends Pulver out to the floor through the ropes! He turns to Chrenshaw and beckons him into the ring as Garner says an automatic tag has been made!
BUT CHRENSHAW STAYS ON THE APRON!
BRIAN SHELZI
Hahaha! He's getting AJ all worked up and he's not doing a thing!
We hear AJ call Chrenshaw a chickenshit, which gets a smirk out of the English born competitor. AJ goes after him, but Chrenshaw drops to the floor and laughs as he tells his former apprentice that he's not the legal man anymore. Pulver dives back into the ring, looking to attack AJ but Knight side steps him and Pulver goes soaring through the ropes a second time, but this time - Chrenshaw is there to cushion his fall! The young lions hurry around the ring and check on both men, while Alexander Irvine slowly walks over and chucks a couple of them aside and asks Chrenshaw if he's good. Before he can answer though...
SAM HEWITT
Pescado from AJ Knight!
BRIAN SHELZI
I don't know what you just said, Sammy, but AJ's dive just took out about four people. Irvine, Chrenshaw, Pulver and one of the young boys, I think it was Felix Bingham... but he's so damned tall and lanky that the wind caused by AJ's plancha could've done it, too. I'll have to see the replay.
A replay is shown, but Shelzi doesn't comment on his theory. Back in real time, AJ is limping big time as he grabs the bottom rope and slings himself back inside. Irvine grabs Pulver and isn't exactly gentle as he drags him back to his feet, insulting him as he does, then throws him up onto the apron before going back to check on Chrenshaw. AJ is recovering in the ring, Pulver is on the apron and gets to his knees while leaning on the middle rope. He grabs the top rope and stares at AJ...
AJ tries to get up, but his leg doesn't support him!
Pulver chuckles as he gets a firm grip with both hands on the top rope.
SAM HEWITT
It looks to me like Matt Pulver has got flight on his mind.
BRIAN SHELZI
Don't do it, kid. You Swedes are solid, but you're not built to fly. This kid's like Mats Naslund.
Pulver leaps up, AJ drops to the mat but the impact never comes. However, the crowd roars!
PULVER HITS AN ASAI MOONSAULT ON CHRENSHAW AND IRVINE!
AND LANDS IT
... well, kind of.
Pulver lands it and falls back into the guardrail, smacking the back of his head. Security backs the front row fans up, making room for Dr. Pierson and the medical staff who attend to the former World's Champion. A towel is applied to the back of his head and the fans groan as the white is quickly turned red, Pierson crosses his arms into an X for Garner who relays it to Rossen.
BRADY ROSSEN
Ringside physician Dr. Nick Pierson has ruled that Matt Pulver is unable to continue and is therefore eliminated!
The crowd boos the hell of that announcement, but quiets down as a stretcher is rolled to ringside and Pulver is fastened to it and taken away.
SAM HEWITT
The dangers of high risk right there, fans. Matt Pulver unfortunately being eliminated from this match as a result and as you can see, the medical staff following the concussion protocol.
BRIAN SHELZI
Terrible way to exit this match, I take the piss out of a lot of these guys but to get in that ring takes a hell of a lot of guts and to even attempt a move like that... you either need guts, or no brains at all. Pulver's one of the smartest kids I've met. Hate to see him go out like that. You know what though? For a dude who never does that kind of thing, he nailed it - everything except for the landing.
Even AJ Knight looks concerned as he watches the stretcher leave the ringside area, but he has to turn his attention back to Ben Chrenshaw who's finally getting into the ring. AJ rushes him, clubbing and pounding on his former mentor before he's even through the ropes. Chrenshaw grabs a hold of AJ's waist and withstands the shots, backing him into the ropes and waits for Garner to call for a break. AJ keeps attacking him though! Garner's count hits five and he pulls out a yellow card, then puts himself between the two. He splits them up, but Chrenshaw kicks AJ in the knee as he's backing up. AJ falls into Garner, who's forced to catch him. He props him up against the ropes again and asks him if he can continue, AJ roars out - "YOU'RE FUCKING RIGHT I CAN!" and the crowd comes alive!
SAM HEWITT
Bad leg or not, AJ's got fight left!
Garner gets out of the way and Chrenshaw comes right in, but AJ flips the script and begins unloading on the Crippler! With Chrenshaw backed against the ropes, AJ cracks him upside the head with his leaping enzuigiri! Chrenshaw falls to his knees, but still has the top rope in his grasp. AJ tries to follow up, but Garner pushes him back. Garner tries to check on Chrenshaw, but AJ decides to pick up some momentum and charges into the ropes. Alexander Irvine reaches in and snags his leg out from underneath him, AJ hits the mat and Chrenshaw forces himself to his feet. He grabs AJ in a front chancery and clamps on a guillotine choke, but rolls it backwards - landing with Chrenshaw in mount position. He abandons the choke and grabs the leg...
WRINKLE IN TIME!
CENTRE OF THE RING!
AJ cries out in pain, reaching for the ropes. Irvine laughs at ringside, telling him to give up but the fans are shouting the opposite - "PLEASE DON'T TAP!"
Knight musters up his strength, dragging himself toward the ropes. He gets close, but Chrenshaw turns him over, onto his back again and drags him back into the centre of the ring, kicking his leg several times before turning him over again. AJ tries to ball his fists up and push himself off the mat and does to a degree, but it's quite clear that he's fading fast and up shit creek without a paddle. Chrenshaw is nearly thrown off balance by AJ's last ditch effort to escape, reaching for the bottom rope... but Irvine taunts him! AJ gets close, but once again, Chrenshaw readjusts.
This time though, the Crippler puts his knee on the back of AJ's neck and wraps the former World's Champion's leg around his neck - Stretch Muffler style. AJ's arm is fighting, but quickly goes limp. Garner calls for the bell and breaks the hold.
BRIAN SHELZI
Sault Ste. Marie... you just witnessed a Ben Chrenshaw victory, for the first time ever.
The Crippler stands over AJ, looking emotionless as Irvine rushes into the ring and raises Chrenshaw's arm high.
BRIAN SHELZI
This WALL might be smaller, Sammy, but it's clear as day - it's a lot stronger!
SAM HEWITT
Calculated for sure, Ben Chrenshaw took advantage of the work that Matt Pulver put in on AJ Knight's leg and that was the deciding factor in this match. It was not the traditional Wrinkle in Time, but it was a devastating submission nonetheless. I don't think AJ even had time to tap before the pain became too much.
BRIAN SHELZI
That's the bad side of fighting submissions. These kids want to be tough, but there's nothing tough about lying there unconscious. Pride's the most dangerous opponent in there.
Chrenshaw's all smiles as a graphic is shown for 11/15 in Barrie - World's Champion David Troy vs. Ben Chrenshaw.
SAM HEWITT
There you see right there, two weeks from now in Barrie, Ontario. Ben Chrenshaw will make his fourth challenge for the World's Heavyweight title, but it will be against a man he's 1-3 against in singles action. Fans, I'm afraid we're out of time... but we'll see you next week in Sudbury.
