HERITAGE HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Bam Markham (c) vs. Rafa
1 Fall - 30 Minute Time Limit
BRADY ROSSEN
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your main event of the evening and it is for the Heritage Heavyweight Championship! It is to be fought over a thirty minute time limit with one pinfall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first...
Kanye West's "Send it Up" begins to play and Sarnia gives the challenger a mixed reaction.
BRADY ROSSEN
Fighting out of Miami, Florida! He weighed in this morning at two hundred and fifty two pounds! This is RAFA!
Marion Payett accompanies Rafa to the ring, but the ex-footballer ignores his manager as he stops in the aisle to encourage him. Rafa just keeps moving, climbs into the ring and gets checked over by Xavier Price. "World on Fire" interrupts to a big pop as Cam Markham steps out and smiles before the big man, Bam Markham comes sauntering out behind him. The Heritage Heavyweight title around his waist, Bam slaps it as he trots down to the ring. Cam tells the camera, "it's number seven!" as the younger Markham climbs up inside the ring.
BRADY ROSSEN
Fighting out of Boulder, Colorado! He weighed in this morning at two hundred and eighty pounds! He is the current, reigning and defending Heritage Heavyweight Champion! BAM! MARKHAM!
He hands the belt to Rossen, who holds it up as Price walks over to quickly check the champion's attire for anything illegal. Markham decides Price is taking too long and shoves him aside, which Rafa sees as an opportunity! He charges the champion and hits him with a clubbing blow to the head! Markham doesn't even have time to think about how that felt because Rafa strikes him with a headbutt as a follow up! Markham falls against the corner turnbuckles and Rafa is even stumbled by it, but recovers and decides to line Bam up for a tackle...
MARKHAM TURNS HIM INSIDE OUT WITH A LARIAT!
The champion follows it up with a stomp to the head, before grabbing Rafa by the ears and yanking him back to his feet. There, Bam batters him with a headbutt of his own that sends the challenger reeling into the corner. Markham grabs his wrist and unleashes a mighty Irish whip that sends him across the ring into the opposing corner. Rafa hits the buckles hard, but tries to fight through it and charge Markham with a tackle... but the champ absorbs it!
BRIAN SHELZI
Holy crap! A 5'10" / 252lbs man just ran full speed into Bam Markham and he barely budged!
Rafa falls down to his hands and knees, but tries to get back up - however, Markham intercepts him and headbutts him again! Rafa is dazed by the shot and retreats to the corner for balance and support. Bam sprints across the ring...
RIGHT INTO A BOOT TO THE FACE!
Bam is wobbled! Rafa collects himself in the corner, which allows the champion to recover. He charges again...
ELBOW!
Rafa catches him with an elbow to the forehead, sending Markham backwards. However, the Bull from Boulder remains on his feet!
SAM HEWITT
A kick and an elbow to Bam Markham and neither one has put the big man down!
Rafa lunges forward, scoring with a second elbow that backs Markham up again. Rafa decides enough is enough (and it's time for a change), he hits the ropes and springs off...
TACKLE!
Markham is sent stumbling backwards, but the ropes keep him upright! Rafa looks in disbelief at Payett, who shrugs. Rafa tries to pull Bam away from the ropes by hoisting him up onto his shoulders, perhaps looking for the Death Valley driver... but Markham clubs his way back down to solid ground. Markham headbutts him again, this time opening up a cut above Rafa's right eye. With the challenger on jelly legs, Markham scoops him up...
AND CHUCKS HIM ACROSS THE RING!
The champion remains standing and watches as Rafa arches his back in pain, Payett yells support for his client and Bam kicks the ropes - Marion Payett nearly jumps out of his shoes! Markham drops down and hooks the leg of Rafa.

2-KICK OUT!
SAM HEWITT
A devastating power... slam? Well, no, it was more of a throwing slam - he just chucked Rafa across the ring like he was on the assembly line. A hook of the leg gets a two, but maybe could've been three had he followed up.
BRIAN SHELZI
You never know, Sammy, but I think Markham's content punishing Rafa for their last match going to a no contest.
SAM HEWITT
Hardly Rafa's fault that the ring ropes couldn't support them.
BRIAN SHELZI
Oh, you don't have to tell me. You can tell Bam though.
SAM HEWITT
I'm good.
A cut-up Markham pulls a bloody Rafa up to his feet and immediately sidewalk slams him back down to the mat. Markham turns in side control and begins pummelling Rafa with forearms to the face, then rakes them back and forth over the challenger! He then climbs back to his feet, then drops a knee into Rafa's midsection. The sound of the air leaving the challenger's body somehow louder than the Sarnia fans. Rafa rolls onto his side, then onto his hands and knees - struggling to breathe. Cam Markham tells his grandson to end it and Bam responds by snatching Rafa up in a front chancery... then more or less drags him up into the air...
VERTICAL SUPLEX!
Rafa lands with a thud, then rolls onto his side. Hurting and struggling to breathe, he can only slowly try to move away from the champion. Markham begins patting his left hand, balling it up into a fist.
BRIAN SHELZI
How's that freezer looking, Sammy? We're gonna need a meat hook.
Despite Payett pleading with Rafa to stay down, the challenger gets up...
MARKHAM SWINGS!
RAFA DUCKS!
SCOOPS!
AND SLAMS MARKHAM INTO THE MAT!
Sarnia is loud after that one! Rafa is unable to follow up, still huffing and puffing from the earlier knee. Cam Markham rushes to his grandson's side to check on him, then begins talking to him.
CAM MARKHAM
Boy, however much you hurt. He hurts ten times more.
Rafa drags himself to the ropes and begins pulling himself to his feet, Markham gets a knee underneath himself then puts his hands up to get himself back on a solid base. Rafa looks up and sees Bam getting up, so he drops his head back down - playing possum. When Markham starts walking toward him, Rafa explodes...
BIG TACKLE!
MARKHAM GOES DOWN!
Rafa lands close by...
... and drapes an arm across!

3-NO!
Markham kicks out at the last possible second!
Rafa rolls over and away from Markham, then starts back up to his feet. Payett tells him to remember his training, but Rafa only shoots him a look in response.
SAM HEWITT
If you didn't catch that, Payett told Rafa to remember his training. Referring to the jiu-jitsu training he was doing in the countdown specials.
BRIAN SHELZI
And the look that he gave his manager? What do you think that was?
SAM HEWITT
I'm sure the training's still deep in his mind, but Bam knows what he's been training for so he's got to unleash it when the time is right.
Rafa sees Markham on his knees...
AND LEAPS ON HIS BACK!
He tries for a rear naked choke, cinching it in...
BUT BAM BACKS UP AND RAMS HIM INTO THE TURNBUCKLES!
The crowd groans as Bam falls forward to his knees, Rafa clutches the top rope to avoid falling down. Cam is yelling at Bam, but the crowd noise makes it inaudible. Bam tries to storm to his feet, but has to put his knee back down to balance. He tries again and gets up, Rafa meets him on his feet and scoops him up...
BAM GRABS ONTO THE TOP ROPE TO PREVENT THE SLAM!
Rafa drops him and begins stomping at his midsection, then rains down a few double axe handles to the back. Price tells Rafa to back up and let Bam get away from the ropes, so he obliges. Bam waits for the count to reach six before even beginning to move, as Cam is right outside coaching him through it. At eight, he finally gets up and away from the ropes. Rafa rushes him, but is forced to duck a desperation left hook. Rafa scoops him up onto his shoulders for the DVD...
but Bam slips out!
He turns Rafa around and hoofs him in the gut, Rafa doubles over and Bam wraps his arms around his waist and uses his scary power to hoist Rafa into the air. Rafa clamps his legs around Bam's neck and what should be an impactful powerbomb is nothing of the sort. Bam drops to a knee, fading fast...
Cam is yelling! Screaming! Pounding the apron!
Rafa yells out as he tightens his grip...
BUT BAMMER COMES ALIVE!
RAFA HOLDS ON FOR DEAR LIFE!
BAM HAS HIS HANDS CLASPED TOGETHER BEHIND RAFA'S NECK!
HE LIFTS HIM HIGH!
AND SLAMS HIM DOWN!
A sickening thud echoes through the venue!
SAM HEWITT
Oh my go--did you hear that?
BRIAN SHELZI
I think the deaf heard that.
Rafa isn't moving, Markham is collapsed on top of him...
SAM HEWITT
They're both out!
A quick replay shows the impact in slow motion... Rafa is indeed powerbombed into the mat, but Markham's head collides with Rafa's! Back in real time, Price quickly checks both men and then begins the knockout count.
SAM HEWITT
Referee Xavier Price is going to give both of these men until the count of ten to get back on their feet, but I don't think that's going to happen.
BRIAN SHELZI
Bam's a hard-headed guy and the mat underneath you doesn't provide much comfort or padding. It's called a mat, but it's pretty thin.
Markham rolls off Rafa, but is no more composed than he was in his previous position. Rafa's eyes are open, seemingly aware that Marion Payett is hollering at him... but the body isn't in any position to respond. Cam Markham is slapping the mat, trying to jolt his grandson awake. He starts getting antsy as the count hits four and neither man has stirred since Markham rolled off of his challenger. Cam grabs a water bottle and sprays the contents inside the ring, which gets Price a bit ticked off. He yells at Cam, telling him to "back the fuck up!" which excites the Sarnia crowd in a tense situation. Cam tries to argue, buying his grandson a bit more time...
BUT PRICE EJECTS HIM!
Meanwhile, Payett has climbed onto the apron behind Price's back and slaps Rafa gently at first, then thwacks him one. Which probably isn't concussion protocol in football or combat sports, but hey. Payett scurries off as he notices Price beginning to turn around, but the referee sees him on the apron and ejects him too! Payett protests more than Cam did... and Rafa's eyes are following the hi-jinks. A smile cracks...
Markham tries to push off the mat, but can't muster the power to push up.
5...
Rafa turns his head, looks at Bam...
6...
Markham tries to get a knee underneath him and reach for the rope, but he misses the rope and falls down.
7...
Rafa looks the other way... but it's the ropes.
8...
Markham looks like he's cycling underwater, trying to get the legs to do what the brain's signalling.
9...
Rafa...
ROLLS OVER!
OUT OF THE RING!
ONTO HIS FEET!
10!
Markham is still struggling!
Price holds his arm out toward Rafa...
and calls for the bell!
Rafa hits the ground, still not with it...
Mandeville Nelson holds the Heritage Heavyweight title as he walks over and checks on Rafa, Cam Markham runs down to check on his kin while Marion Payett has a whole lot of pep in his step as he skips back down the aisle. Cam is arguing with Price, still. Bam is propped up against the turnbuckles, watching as Rafa stands up and holds his former title in the air.
SAM HEWITT
The official call from Brady Rossen...
BRADY ROSSEN
Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout by knockout at fourteen minutes, fifteen seconds... and NEW Heritage Heavyweight Champion! RAFA!
Rafa falls to his knees, clutching the belt as Marion Payett falls down trying to catch his client. Cam Markham is cussing Price, pointing at Payett.
BRIAN SHELZI
Cam Markham not happy about getting ejected and Marion Payett taking advantage of that momentary distraction. Did it help Rafa? I don't know, I can't answer that one for you.
SAM HEWITT
We're outta time! We'll get this sorted out! I'm going to try and get words with both men so meet us back here next week! For Brian Shelzi, I'm Sam Hewitt! Goodnight, everyone!
