An OOC Note
We adhere to the Lion’s Road OOC rules. Nevertheless, we ask you to consider the following:
- BLACK Lion’s Road is a place for the unusual. Inside the ring, we strive for a puroresu-feel. But outside of it, we’re trying to tell a more unified, long-term story. It’s kind hard to say exactly where it’s gonna go, but that’s how we like it. We like to keep things organic.
- In terms of parallels, B.L.R. is comparable to a fusion of NJPW’s mid-2000s developmental brands LOCK-UP (more technical) and Wrestle Land (more story, theater-based). Maybe a combo of ROH + Lucha Underground. We only raise this point to help you groove onto the unique spirit we’re trying to build.

- B.L.R. operates a bit closer to the hybrid model. I’d say the fed is split 80/20 (competitive/angle). We will give as much judging feedback as possible and we want to be constructive here. Please don’t be overly sensitive to losses. It’s just not becoming.
- Because our events operate so infrequently, we want to preserve how special and unique they are. Therefore, we try not to coordinate too closely with handlers on angles. We want you to be surprised!
- It follows from the above that we sometimes take liberties with the characters. By this we mean that we may nudge your character in a different or unexpected direction. Run with it, and we’ll bounce off your ideas, too. We especially take liberties with whomever is the Black Lion, as that character is the centerpiece to moving along our more theatrical story. Be advised.
- And that's about it. Let's have some fun writing.
