TEAM INFORMATION
NAME – Black Lion’s Road
MEMBERS – Julian Cutlass, Alexander Irvine
COMBINED WEIGHT – 434 lbs
ALIGNMENT – Anti-Heroes
AFFILIATION – N/A
TEAM EXPERIENCE – Over a decade
BIOGRAPHY – When Julian Cutlass returned to Lion’s Road, he was disappointed at what the promotion had become. In an effort to restore pro-wrestling into its truest form so that the best quality opponents would exist, he contacted the best opponent he had ever fought or teamed with, Alexander Irvine. Black Lion’s Road is meant to bring back a type of wrestling that has been suppressed in favor of flamboyance and stage-lighting.
AESTHETIC INFORMATION
PIC BASES – Fedor Emelianenko & Randy Couture
CASUAL ATTIRE – Both men can normally be found wearing training gear, as that’s typically where they are either coming from or going to, though on occasion they’re to be found more relaxed and even when it is appropriate in business attire. Irvine is a bit more stylish, often sporting a Fedora in those cases.
RING ATTIRE -Given both men’s history in combat arts, both wear half-tight trunks with Irvine featuring a red-and-black pattern while Cutlass keeps it all black. Irvine wears MMA gloves and taped ankles while Cutlass will sometimes go gloveless but always wears a pair of black kick-pads over his boots.
ENTRANCE ATTIRE - Does your team wear anything notable during their entrance?
Cutlass wears a light blue hooded robe while Irvine wears a robe of leather and fur.
ENTRANCE THEME - "Break on Through” performed by Adrenaline Mob
DESCRIPTION – As “Break on Through” hits the speakers as Julian Cutlass and Alexander Irvine emerge to the roar of the lion and the roar of the crowd. Both stalk down the aisles clad in their respective robes as eager fans grasp for them. The two men tolerate the fans but pay close attention to the ring and climb inside. They hand their robes off to the attendants, exchange a fist-bump, and stretch in preparation for the match.
WRESTLING INFORMATION
WEAPONS - N/A
TEAM FIGHTING STYLE – Neither Cutlass nor Irvine are much into wasting time and feeling out an opponent. It’s not uncommon for either of them to try and score a quick victory with a submission or high-impact strike to the head. Although they typically don’t resort to underhanded tactics, Irvine is known to taunt opponents whether or not he’s tagged in – often drawing ire from opponents. Cutlass is not afraid to mix it up, but he is more likely to hold onto submissions for as long as possible.
SPECIAL MOVES -
“Devastator” (Blazin’ Kick + Battle Cry combination – primary finisher)
“The Dead Zone” (Knee Bomber + Texas Cloverleaf – secondary, submission finisher)
SIGNATURE MOVES -
“The Next Dimension” (Cutlass has them in position for reverse Russian leg sweep (Flatliner) while Irvine hits the opponent in the back of the head with a running lariat, providing momentum for Cutlass’ move)
Double brainbuster
Dual striking combinations, often ping-ponging an opponent between them
