BIOGRAPHY - Jon Davenport is widely considered the last bastion of real, southern wrestling. A god fearing, beer drinking, bar brawling man. Jon is a consummate babyface; even if at times he is more of a carny. Jon protects the business and avoids doing "shoot" promos and is so considerably old school if he sees a heel in public, he will make a scene to try to keep kayfabe alive.
Jon was born and raised in Macon, GA. Discovered wrestling at a young age and was trained for the business and had his first match at age sixteen. In the ring, Jon wrestles an old school "Memphis" style. He doesn't do a lot, but what he does looks real. Some people who know Jon personally say there is no distinguishing the in ring character from the out of the ring individual.
Jon is being filmed for an upcoming documentary to try and capitalize on his slight YouTube fame. George A. Edmunds III, a UCLA film school student is the film maker and life long wrestling fan. Fascinated by Jon Davenports ability to make a name in this business given the dichotomy of his style to that of the modern day. Chances are where you see Jon, he's being filmed and interviewed by George, and the camera man known simply as Josh.
From time to time, George will be absent and Jon is mildly tech savvy and can shoot and upload his own videos to YouTube, although he may complain slightly about George's absence.
OOC: Just as a measure of caution to anyone reading a Jon Davenport RP, there will be intentional misspellings and use of words that Websters hasn't deemed worthy a spot in the dictionary. For example, Jon will use words like "Git" and "Ain't" to translate for the reader both his accent and dialect, as well as many other examples i'm omitting. Also, Jon will use Carny speak between himself and the documentary crew. In his mind he is unaware that the business has been fully exposed and will use Carny during filming of the documentary and subsquently and promos against opponents therein. I'll provide a link for examples. Davenport's widely used terms
